Pokémon Academy: Ch 2a: Dragons [IC]

Mareek instantly realized what was wrong when the Cubone began gesturing with his tiny mits... The Bone he should've been carrying with him was gone. "So that's what it is..." he snarled, gazing up at the bird as it mocked the two of them from high above, feeling his anger steadily began to rise. This little guy here was basically helpless already, he knew that Cubones... tended to lose their parents very early on in life, some how it always managed to happen. It was all alone in the world, without anyone to rely on or to trust... and then something like this swellow comes along, and steals from it? And it's not like the bones the carry in their hands are even that valuable, or shiny or anything like that that might draw attention, so honestly it must've been out of complete spite; just the fact that the Cubone had it, and the Swellow did not, that the freaking bird had done this. And there was no way in hell that Mareek was just going to sit there and stand by... oh no, he had much, much different plans. "You think this is fucking funny what you did to him!?" He shouted up, switching back over to Japanese as he began fuming with rage. He honestly didn't give a damn whether or not the Swellow could understand him. "How about me and my friends Java and Erce teach you a lesson then!" He turned back to the other two, shouting a quick series of Commands in his native language. "Java, Lock on to that bastard and unleash the strongest Discharge you can muster!" Java nodded, a red ring appearing around the Swellow a moment later, constricting around it and ensuring Java's attack. Then the Porygon built up a charge and let it rip, sending a torrent of electricity hurtling through the air up to where the Swellow was perched in the tree, his locking on to the bird a moment ago preventing the attack from bursting out and damaging the Cubone or Erce as they stood there watching. He turned to the Scyther next. "Erce, unleash a Vacuum wave!" The Mantis nodded, parring her scythes against each other in an X formation as they began to glow slightly, then she swung them both in wide arcs, sending two waves of pure vacuum pressured space hurtling towards the Swellow along with Java's discharge, prepared to burst into a powerful shockwave of Vacuum force if they hit their mark... -
And yes, soldiers, I am indeed going to name the Braviary 'Murica' Also, I might actually consider getting a second mon on this trip to catch afterall, Sergeant. Where might I find either an Eevee or a Torchic, if any inhabit the Boulder Hills? Also, my question is basically the same as Private Turbos above.

"Calm yourself, kid," Atton said as Roy entered, looking a bit overly feisty. He kneeled down beside one of the many fainted pokemon. There was no doubt about it, the arcanine had most definitely been this way. "She's already kicked the living crap out of everyone here... and the same thing can probably be said for all the upper floors." with that he again stood, moving over to the stair case and beginning to climb. "I'm going to go see what's the situation on the second floor," he said sternly to Roy. "Wait here for the others to catch up... I should be back soon." he then headed up to the next floor, disappearing from sight.

Seacrest The Castle was awe inspiring as Mercury led the trio inside. The open air, Triangular Courtyard just beyond the entrance porticus was an impressive expanse of white marble etched with thousands of tiny lines coming together to form various pictures and images of different species of water types, forming a beautiful mural on the floor in which lines of blue water, so pure that it actually glowed with serenity, flowed in between, lighting up the hole space and making the artwork quite visible from the contrast with the white stone. To either side of the place stood a set of heavy wooden doors, both of which stood upon at the moment, operable by a simple water powered pulley system that had been devised for both of them. Standing before the group was another set of doors at the top of the triangle. Mercury stopped and pointed out both of them to the group as he walked, gesturing with his tiny fins. "As you can see," he began. "The two of you already know this, but for the new prospective member, Ahem: the door to the right leads to the Kitchen, Dining hall, and Member Sleeping quarters. The door to your left leads to the Sleeping Quarters for the Elders, Do not ever enter venture in there without the explicit escortment or invitation of an Elder or lady Mira herself, I will tell you now, the consequences will be severe if you do, and to Several other areas that you've no business being in or near unless Lady Mira herself gives you a certain job to do. As for the door in front of us, this leads to the Castle Library, which contains a wealth of knowledge of various dungeons, consisting of maps, tombs about ancient treasure and lore, The Mission board, from which the purpose is rather self explanatory, and also the throne room, which is where I am taking you all now. Follow." He turned around and again began hopping through the doors leading to the throne room, turning again and halting the group when they stood before a pair of silver etched doors depicting the moon and the sea upon their faces. "Wait here for a moment," he ordered. "I shall go inform lady Mira of your desire to join." Then he hopped back a few feet, came charging forward towards the wooden slabs and used a quick Tackle Attack, pushing open one of the doors with the momentum and disappearing inside, leaving the three of them standing in the corridor alone. Tempest "Follow the trial of burned Dungeon Dwellers," was all Draidon had to say to the dull-witted and temperamental Timbur, disappearing from the hall way and finding the stairs in the next room... along with several more beaten and scorched Dungeon Dwellers. So many that they were scattered and sprawled all along the floor. "Get in here!" Draidon ordered loudly. "You guys need to see what we're up against here!"

Oh, and also I finally finished drafting up Mareek's Final team, Soldiers... They're more or less set in stone, since they all have particular roles. so yeah...don't go asking me to change them, because one must recall: there is no species clause in this RP. The Anti-Terror team- Future and planned members and roles: -The Old and Faithful Friend -The Tech Specialist & Analyst -The Charity Case -The Melee Specialist -The Diver -The Medic -The Mediator -The Air Lift -The Aerial Support -The Surge
-
no need, Soldier... Mareeks gonna have Java electrocute that damn Thieving Bird for stealing from an Orphan like that... And Erce would do just fine to draw it out, fly up and use a vacuum wave or two to disturb it... and then have java nail it right as it exits... oh yeah, I'm liking this plan.

"Hey!!" Mareek shouted angrily as he stood there, all but helpless to watch the Swellow steal the Carving his team had just finished. "Deceptive little feathered bastard!!" he snarled in very fluent Japanese, he honestly didn't break back into his first language unless he was particularly pissed or in battle (As per the new command system he had worked out with Erce during the past few weeks). This time though, he and Erce had similar thoughts as to the actions of the flying type, the mantis buzzing her wings aggressively and about to take off to where she had seen the Swellow disappear into it's nest. "Wait a minute..." he continued, still in Japanese, noticing something jumping up and down at the base of the tree. She looked at him curiously, perplexed by why he'd want her to not go get the statue back. The Trainer walked over to the source of the motion, soon seeing what it was as he drew near. "A Cubone?" he asked, in English again. He knelt down next to the little creature as it cried, examining it to see what was wrong. Obviously it had something to do with the thief in this tree though... "What's the matter, little guy?" he asked, softening his voice to try to comfort it. "You just get something stolen from you too?" -
Sergenat Chimchain, the Effigy that Erce made is about a little over 2 feet tall or so. I don't know exactly how much it would weigh, though.

The Sculpture was coming along quite nicely under Erce's diligence. Java held the block in place as she circled all around it, her scythes charged with an X-Scissor as he swung again and again at the wood, carving it down faster than a person with just tools could've. Java meanwhile used lock on on various areas of the wood to show where Erce needed to cut next, and which areas to leave as they were. The Scyther didn't even have to see an image of what she was carving, given the Porygon's excellent guidance. Before very long at all, the scuplture was more or less done. Java broke off the psybeam, gently dropping the wood effigy, now near perfectly identifiable as a Mega-Evolved Ampharos at just a glance. Erce took a step back as Mareek came forward, holding up his dex and checking the image against the final result. "Great job, you two," he said warmly. "Looks exactly like what we were going for. I think it's safe to say we'll win this little art contest now." he knelt down, about to pick up the newly carved statue... ((I assume that the Swellow wants it now that it's done...so, go on...)) -
Mareek would resent that whole stigma very much... wait, would he? could his hair color even be classified as 'Ginger'?
-
Ah, I see then. And the Tailow was just a hypothetical. EDIT: well...looks like that bird is fixing to steal something...
-
So what? is he gonna be able to catch a Tailow or something from this? and if so can I still get my Cubone at the same level I originally planned (20), or would I have to choose either or?
-
The choice is entirely up to you all, soldiers. I'm not going to initiate a Precision ML Strike if you decide to run though. Either way, you need only to hold off the tango until Lt. Stone reaches you all with reinforcements from the south.

"Hello? Hello!?" Arietta repeatedly tried to hail the others after the connection broke, only to be met with persistent static. Another roar broke through the distance as she saw on her scan that what was doing this had taken off again, swooping down towards them all, claws outstretched. From what features she could spot in the Infrared, this thing looked to be the cross of a giant bird...and some type of lizard. "Well that obviously isn't nature's handiwork..." She muttered to herself, shutting off the now useless comm system. And she was right... but then again, perhaps the same could be said for the majority of things running around in this Forrest? 25 meters...15 meters...10 meters... it was closing fast. She knew something would have to be done to turn it off it's course, or they'd all be dead in a minute. Without a word she loaded a Neo White Phosphorus head into her Rocket Launcher, aiming it seamlessly at the beast as it approached. Her finger pressed down on the trigger, sending the explosive flying through the night air, a trail of fire lingering in it's wake as the programming kicked in and it homed in on the largest target in it's vicinity, the bird dragon. The night was dark... and then without any warning, it exploded into light rivaling that of the sun as an explosive fire flared in the sky above them all, a horrifying screech sounding as the predator veered off it's death sweep and circled away, it's face and eyes protected by the unseeablebone plate armoring covering it's skull. But the heat and pressure had been enough to cause considerable injury to make it reconsider it's tactics, along with the heavy, white smoke coursing it's way into the beast's lungs. It was completely blinded by the stuff, flying around aimlessly, trying to sense the electric signatures of it's quarry once more. "Get out of here!" Arietta shouted as loudly as she could. "All of you, now! I'll hold this thing off as long as I can!"

"Huh...oh...um, hey there..." Mareek said in surprise when the bird landed atop his shoulder. He didn't know where it had came from exactly, but it seemed to just want to watch what they were doing. So long as no hostility started, he didn't mind in the least bit if the three of them had an audience while they worked. Erce however, did not share his calm leniency, taking her attention of the statue, the head of which was in the beginning stages of being carved, and growled at the Swellow, parring her scythes against one another defensively. Java simply rolled his eyes at the Mantis's overreaction. "Calm down, Erce," Mareek sighed. "It's fine, see? It's not hurting anything; just wants to watch. Java understands, right, Java?" The porygon nodded simply, a bit taken a back at his inclusion in this discussion. Erce looked back and forth between the boy and the swellow, glaring at the latter suspiciously... then she herself let out a sigh and went back to work, making sure to keep an eye on Mareek and the bird as she did so. Anything happened to the boy, anything at all, and she would be slicing up that swellow... but for now she'd just keep watch. "Sorry about that," Mareek said, turning his attention back to the swellow. "It's nothing against you yourself, Erce can just be a bit overprotective of me at times. Anyway, like I said, you're free to watch us if you want." -

Alright, I'll update Seacrest tomorrow. I don't know what's going on with the lack of activity for Tempest's current scene though -
Character Achievement get: Stop time for a moment and kill a predator about to tear out your throat
-
No...if only Dawn would die next...
-
This time, yes, Soldier. since I think it was a lot more of just a misunderstanding of the update rather than actual stupidity on your part

Typhlosion, you do realize that the only things that have gone done currently are the comms and mapping system, right Soldier? The shields themselves haven't started wonking out yet... but what Kenshin just did has removed all protection the Exo suit offers (see the explanation for how shields work...) You need the helmet to be on in order to run a shield.
