  1. "Um...alright, Sir, I mean, Brendan," Mareek said, a bit surprised that a teacher would be alright with being addressed so informally by a student. Back home in Kanto that tended to be frowned upon. "To be specific, want I'd like to know is about the claims that after Porygon evolves into it's final form, Porygon-Z, it begins to act... strangely. I'm sorry if that description is a bit vague, but I honestly can't think of any other word to describe it..."
  2. Really soldier? Really... well... I guess that might answer Ethic's question about anyone being injured. Also, assume he picked up his jacket and bag when he left the Temperance Arena
  3. Oh wait... is That where the whole "pon" at the end of each sentence came from, Soldier?
  4. ((God I'm loving this drama...)) "..." Ethic looked back and forth between Rose, Mr.Taylor, and the Psychopath, taking in Mr.Taylor's words... this man was not human... could he really just leave the older gentleman to face him? No, no...he'd be fine. Mr.Taylor had proven already that he could handle himself incredibly well...remember that whole Indiana jones stunt? And even besides... he did have a point. Several members of the group were nothing more than kids. And fortunately he was actually sane enough to try to take on the role of a ward bearer again... "Alright then..." He sighed reluctantly, getting back into a walking stance and lowering his weapon to his side. He turned around to face the other man. "He's your fight then, Mr.Taylor... I'll respect that." He walked out of the arena, sheathing his weapon, whispering in Mr.Taylor's ear as he passed by. "Blow this man's head off his shoulders as fast as you can... trust me, neither of your powers will work within the circle. That should at least give you somewhat of a fairer chance of winning against him." then to rose as he passed. "Come on rose... He's right. This is his fight in the end." Then he headed over to the group, picking up his jacket and bag and calling out. "Eh, Anyone wounded over there?"
  5. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3_K5FmtAC8 Round two, Soldier... The Broken Character Versus the Psychopath. who's gonna come out on top now that powers don't mean anything? Or will Marcus simply ignore Ethic? Doubtful... from his reaction after coming back just now, very doubtful. Who will join the fray? Who will enter onto this field of battle?
  6. "Damn it!" Ethic roared, turning his face to the ceiling. "Come on! can't you help me even fucking once!?" He turned his attention back to the killer. So damn close... but nope, he had to come back just as he was getting to them... The fire trick probably wasn't going to work twice. He'd have to rely on numbers to win this. "Mr.Taylor" he roared as Marcus stormed closer, hoping the older man would be able to hear him. "I think this man is the one who killed you!" Then back to Marcus. "Enough..." He stripped off his back and jacket, dropping them to the ground beside him. "I've had enough...of you. And that was just after one round. A new record... congratufuckinglations friend." The next moment he had drawn Scott's sword from his belt, getting into a fighting stance, awaiting the psychopaths approach. "It's time I try something new..." he snarled, focusing his mind on the Temperance Link... he still had no idea what it did... but now was a good time to find it out. "Number Fourteen... Temperance." The moment he established the link, a sphere formed in the air, blazing with light like the sun. A pillar of energy shot into the stone floor, spreading out through the grout of the cobbled pathway and ending about fifth-teen feet in every direction of Ethic, forming a perfect circle around him, a circumference of thirty feet. And in that moment, the ball faded into nothing. but the circle of light remained, along with the path ways it had traced in the stones. Ethic knew what it did now... he knew exactly what the hell he had just done...it was either very lucky for him and the others... Or it was going to cost him everything against this guy. Either way... He was going to stand his ground. He glared at Marcus, a fire of determination in his eyes. "Go on. Enter this circle. The arena is set... I will fucking tear you apart if you come any closer to these people... And I'll do everything I can to make sure you NEVER get back up afterwards."
  7. Damn... Soldiers, I just missed Walking Dead... oh well. I served my city this night. I'm proud of that.

a pleasure to serve you, sir.

  8. Soldiers... I'm not sure what exactly is the complete story of what occured tonight... I suspect some grander scheme to be playing out then what it seems on the surface though... but regardless of my paranoia, just know that at Vermilion, our port and our doors are open to you. We will accept you with open arms. Regardless of whether you bear a core in your possession or not, you are welcome to join. We do not stand for False Flag tactics. nor will we ever so long as this Lieutenant is around
  9. Ethic simply sat in the darkness after offing himself against Marcus. He didn't even bother going to see Scott again, though his spot was clearly visible in the distance. he simply needed to get back out of here as soon as possible and get word to the others about that...psychopath he had just roasted. The Goth/ IT guy's life story would just have to wait a bit longer as far as he was concerned. Then after a while he finally felt that tell tell tucking... He opened his eyes, finding himself lying on the ground where his body had landed and been incinerated. He tossed a few quick glances around, seeing the floor and walls had been covered in a layer of soot and scorch marks from the blast. Seemed that his enemy from earlier had yet to come back to life. Good... He thought solemnly to himself. That means I might actually be able to get to them now. With that he stood slowly, seeing that the others had somehow taken out the dog. And even better, they managed to 86 Cerberus. He took off in their direction, sprinting as fast as he could, being sure to stay aware of the area behind him as he went. He would easily be visible to anyone from the group as he drew closer and closer.
  10. Another fierce roar from the Alpha male. Two more Moss Wolves reverted themselves to all fours and then walked down the hill, joining the sibling behind their grandfather's protective scheme of using a hostage. This confirmed it without a doubt. The team would have to keep this up to avoid any more fighting. Meanwhile the wolves still on the hill began to back away slowly from the soldiers, seeing how Sarah and Big had gotten down and made themselves less of a threat. They were hungry, yes... but they knew that their father's orders would keep them alive right now. attacking these things had been a mistake; they had proven themselves to be far more than capable of fighting back. They'd have to resign themselves to simply leaving and finding less volatile prey. That is, or course, so long as none of the humans botched the negotiation. JACE "I remember that day..." Jace said as he panted before the giant of an alpha male he was facing. a short, serrated blade that sparkled like the night sky hung lazily in his hand. The Monochrome Patriarch stood not far ahead of him, having rendered itself visible upon realizing the Major could tell where he is. It's black hide had streaks of swirled and creamy white splattered across it from head to tail. it's claws were short and curved like a raptors, while it's legs were long and thickly muscled. The thing resembled a giant Geeko crossed with a Komodo dragon... and that's exactly how Jace remembered the one he'd killed two years ago. "You killed my entire fire team that day..." he continued, clenching the blade in his hand and forcing himself to stand upright. nearby his Chimera rifle lay in pieces along with his shot gun and pistol. This bastard was smart, destroying all his ranged weaponry and forcing him to take it on hand to hand. But he was more than ready. "Do you see this blade?" he asked, holding the weapon out in front of him with the flat turned towards the lizard. "It's the same one I used back then. All four of their names are engraved on it now... and today, I'm going to make sure I don't have to inscribe anyone else's name in this metal." He got down low into the standard combat stance taught to all ESF, Low enough to dodge any high blows, yet still move quickly and hit all the vital organs... of course, this fighting style was developed for use against other humanoids, but that hadn't stopped him before. "That's a very interesting story, major..." Quiet called down from the forest canopy. "But I'm afraid you're going to have some company for this." he dropped down onto the forest floor beside Bane, rolling to distribute the impact. Both his guns were at the ready, his black shades fixed on the Alpha. "Care to explain why you disobeyed my orders to retreat, Soldier?" Bane said, not taking his eyes off the beast. "I had the hunch that you were going to do something... unwise here." Quiet said. "Enough chit chat... it's coming." the moment he finished speaking, the alpha roared, confirming his evaluation. it charged towards them, twice as large and fast as any of it's pack members had been. But both Jace and Quiet were ready. Words were not needed to communicate their strategy here...because it was obvious to both of them.
  11. The wolf turned it's attention to Kenshin as it noticed him placing his weapon on the ground. It nodded, still holding Zero, and looked at the other squad members before issuing an authorative roar at it's Pack underlings. Silently, one of the ten survivors reverted back into all fours position and walked slowly down the slope, stopping behind him in a sitting postition... It was obvious how this was going to play out now. even without words, this Wolf was negotiating for the lives of his children and grand children. For every weapon he saw placed on the ground, he'd order another of them to move away from the squad... perhaps there was a way to save Zero yet. ===================== Status: Forced Negotiation without words Party B's Demands: lower all weapons. Party B's term's of reward: Zero gets released upon demand's being met.
  12. You leaving, Soldier? well...alright then. RL take priority afterall. Good luck and godspeed with the exam. Or rather, I could simply control your PC until you can come back. how does that proposition sound?
  13. Team work is meant to be something that occurs automatically when shit hits the fan. if you have to try to verbally prompt everyone to watch everyone elses back during an ambush, then what you have is not team work. it's just a recipe for disaster.
  14. You don't. The leader has simply seen unacceptable losses. He thought you all were just fodder, but now he knows that even if the pack manage to kill you, he probably won;t have much of a pack to lead anymore. the projected casualties are too great to ignore. not even animals will throw away their lives for nothing. let em go without further fighting, and he'll release Zero when his children are safely away. and as I said before. I have very low tolerance for stupidity.
  15. Isn't genetic engineering a bitch sometimes, Chimera 1?

    1. Aurorix

      Aurorix

Play Mother 3, full of chimeras.

  16. And it gets worse. Exlink, Zero has three broken ribs now because of that stupid decision. I will stop the punishment at that. this is the only warning you'll get from me. As for the rest of you, you now have a hostage situation, soldiers... but perhaps some type of peace can be worked out... the Moss Wolves have stopped attacking you and are paying more attention to what the Alpha Male's doing.
  17. The wolf atop Garren was blown away by the force of the Round Vixen fired, sneding it rolling down the hill and slaming against a tree. It's skull had been completely blown apart by the bullet, unfortunately this meant that alot of rather undesirable gore was on the visor of Garren's helmet and his chest... but at least the man was alive... unable to see anything through the layer of blood and grey matter on his helm, but alive nonetheless. The wolf assualting Zero dodged and rolled off the man, yanking him upright on the ground and using him as a makeshift shield... which Kenshin's drone plowed right into, destroying what little shield that Zero had left in his Exo Suit and breaking several of his ribs with the remaining impact force. The Moss Wolf got it's claws up into the chinks in the back of his armor, holding him out in front of it as it stood... then with the other hand, it reached up and tore of his helmet, sending the thing flying against a nearby tree, probably breaking it. The beast issued another howl, holding Zero like a Riot Shield. These things... they were definately smarter than the Monochromes... the fact that this one had thought to use Zero as a human shield and virtually take him hostage proved it. And it was obvious it intended to use him as a hostage... because it didn't anything further to inflict harm on him, just held him. A moment later it had picked up a rather large tree limb from the forest floor, using it like a bat and sending Kenshin's drone flying into a tree, breaking a few pieces off of the machine. it lay there, immobilized. The Moss Wolf then glared up at the soldiers atop the hill, puffs of steam issuing from it's mouth. It would be virtually impossible for any of them to hit it without also hitting and killed Zero as well, given that his shield was no longer sustained without his helmet... precisely what the wolf intended... The other wolves seemed a bit hesitant in their assaults now, ceasing their wild charges... obviously this one holding Zero was the Alpha male... =============================== Health: Zero 0% (No longer wearing helmet, shield completely inoperable) Kenshin's drone 0% (Damaged heavily, repairable) Zero's Helmet ??? (Likely to be damaged...) ((To clarify, all Moss wolves have stopped attacking.))
  18. The two shots nailed the Wolf in the shoulder and chest, but it didn't seem to be willing to stop... though, it was moving noticeably slower now, barely able to stay up under it's own weight... AS suddenly as it had poinced on her, the Moss Wolf now collapsed to the ground mid sprint, skirting a few feet forward stopping just at Vixen's feet. a few last breaths issued forth from it's maw, then the heart wound it had just sustained ended it's life. Meanwhile, however, everyone else was still under attack... including Zero, who had somehow managed to once again be thrown down the hill and was about to be killed... The wolf atop him was getting closer and closer to breaking through the armor...
  19. While Zero was wasting his time asking for orders in a situation when he should've just shut up and started fighting, The Moss Wolf heading towards him circled around to his back unnoticed... and the next thing he felt... was again a sudden jolt and feeling of falling. Another crash sounded through the air as he hit a tree, and yet again that day, was sent tumbling down the forest slope. Unfortunately for him, the Moss Wolf was smarter and far faster than the Monochromes earlier. he barely had enough time to regain his bearings before the beast was atop him, trying to get it's mouth under his armor in order to tear out his jugular, just as the one attacking Garren was trying... and a red message screen blared in his helmet yet again... the systems were almost down. ========================= Health: Zero 2% ((This is your first and only warning for this chapter, Exlink. Fight smarter, soldier. I've already made it clear how I feel about stupid actions and decisions.))
  20. Soldiers, I've yet another message from stratos, this time it's directed specifically to Exlink. Ahem: "Really Exlink? Really? Hm... a pack of large bipedal wolves has descended upon my company's march and my acting CO is about to have his throat torn out... I think I'll ASK him what he wants me to do about this situation." End Quote, soldiers. note the heavy sarcasm denoting that he's abut to order me to use a Precision Murphy's Law Strike And to make this clear: everyone of you has a Moss Wolf heading towards you. EDIT: Precision ML-Strike has been made.
  21. I'd be lying if I said I didn't, soldier. Those Wolves are actually a bit bigger than a GoT Dire wolf by the way. Isn't evolution a bitch sometimes, Soldiers? Or maybe... did evolution even create these beasts?
  22. What none of the soldiers knew, however, was that high above their heads in a rather expansive cave in the side of the Cliff exterior...even more predators lurked. A wolf, it's fur colored green by the moss growing in it's coat, twice the size of any Wolf species back on earth ((Think of Dire Wolves from GoT, soldiers)), Crept forward from it's pack's den, gazing out over the retreating party from a rocky lip. A single howl issued up from the cliff. It had just sent word to it's pack members; Prey was near. They had been smart enough to simply stay put and be silent when they had heard the roars of the Monochromes; in a fight between them, they'd surely lose due to a size disadvantage... but from what they could tell, the giant reptiles had all gone away for now. It seemed that the prey they had been pursuing wasn't though. The time to hunt was now. A host of fearsome howls and snarls tore through the sanctity of the air all around the group, descending from the Cliff were at least a dozen green wolves...and they were rather giant. They jumped from rocky outcropping to outcropping, their sights set on the soldiers, their teeth bared, revealing mouths filled with daggers, their fangs easily some six inches long on each of them. They seemed to be highly coordinated, descending as a single unit, moving fluidly as if every beast knew it's role in this ambush. They twirled and spun their bodies in mid air, launching themselves off the rock face when they had gotten low enough. The sun was darkened out by their massive shapes, many of them landing right in the middle of the Squad's formation and scattering everyone. One landed atop Garren, sending him to the ground and roaring viciously at his helmets visor as it tried to maneuver it's mouth under his Exo Suit armor and tear out his jugular. Another one landed atop Vixen, sending her sprawling to the earth as well. It charged at her, fast as a run away freight train, claws extended... in fact, it was running... the thing had somehow gone bipedal. and it was the same case for all those other wolves that landed. they all forced themselves into up right positions, several strange sounds coming from their bodies as they shifted bones in their legs and arms and chests, utilizing the deadly advantage Mother Nature and her son Evolution had given them; The ability to walk upright like humanoids... they were indeed like no Wolf species back on ancient earth. The sounds finally stopped. they all stood glaring at the group, puffs of steam issuing forth from their maws with every breath. Their undersides, now visible, were revealed to be a thick black in color. Another round of Roars and guttural howls came forth...then they all broke their landing formation, sprinting towards each soldier who was not already besieged by a pack member, they moved disturbingly gracefully, nearly floating across the trail with their wraith like speed... it seemed that Evolution preferred to take a far more deadly path on this planet, biologically, these things... why would they exist? It was a question that would have to be forgotten. because before anyone could even blink, every soldier had a Moss Wolf right over top of their position... ======================== Situation Report: Status: Engaged Tangoes: Moss Wolf x12 Health: Zero 42% Garren 22% Vixen 79% Everyone else 100%
  23. Alright soldiers. Private bibs has told me of his decision. Pineapple is resigning from this RP, Spark Alpha. I will take over control of Lionel as I did for Enyo and move us along soon. Bibs is hereby honorably discharged from the Genomic Weapons Corps. This does not mean, however, that a character slot has opened up. Dismissed.
