Those on the Trail... A sharp Crack! sounded all around the group, like an echo bouncing off the face of the cliff. Bane held up his hand in a halting gesture, scanning the surrounding forest down below the ridge they were traveling on. His HUD revealed no heat sigs. Another crack sounded, as if something were snapping fallen tree limbs along the forest floor. Then more...and more...and more... and MORE. then the screeching and roaring began. but whatever the hell was making all these noises was nowhere to be seen, though it sounded as if it was right next to them... and it sounded like there was a lot of them. Damn it... we've run across a few Monochromes... Jace thought to himself as realized precisely why nothing was coming up but the sounds kept on. "Get down, now!" Bane ordered, dropping to his stomach and lying with his Rifle aimed down the slope. He looked up at them. "Damn it, Soldiers, I said Down! Now!" Those still in the Clearing... A series of sharp, echoing cracks echoed through the air, audible to all those still present within the clearing. Then a couple screeches began to take their places... and then it went from a couple, to a whole chorus. Lance didn't say anything at all, didn't even look at his team members. He just whirled out his pistols from his shroud and clicked the safeties off simultaneously. The next moment the phantom of a man had disappeared down the forest trail...

Hukuna Absalom stood where he was as the others made their way across the bridge. His eyes were fixed on his father's body not far in the distance. "I will find him..." he muttered to himself. with that single promise made, he began to make his way over to where Anansi had gone off to. Sinbad was the only person left there in the city. He'd have to get moving quickly if he didn't want to be left behind by his own company... though, he could've sworn that he heard someone calling his name. Someone who sounded very familiar. "Sin..." It was like a whisper, fainter than a weak breeze. But The Sniper was sure of it...this was the voice... of Boho. His glasses and cloak still lay on the ground not far away. Exlink, Dobby, and Typhlosion Not far from the bridge, the entrance to the cavern was visible to the three warriors, a torch still burning on the ground where Absalom's now dead father had left it. And there was something visible in the light of the flickering fire... remnants of a rope. They all recalled how Boho had taken some time to tie up Lucian when they had arrived here. If even with several broken ribs, the man could manage to work himself out of such a tight binding....then... This...might be very bad.

Chimchain "Enough already," Argo sighed as he walked over to the three of them, having become fed up with this nonsense. The crap he'd just seen the human's put up was nothing compared to Blackjack's and Whitehoove's petty and often ill timed squabbles. "If neither one of you wants to be mature and just shutup and pull your head out of your ass long enough for us to leave, then I'll take him as my rider..." He turned to the young hunter, walking away from the siblings. "I am called Argo, my role in this pack is the Sentry. What is your name, human?"

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: The Return(OOC)
Sutoratosu replied to grasssnake485's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Soldier, I see only one major issue with that. The Majority of the PCs are of Species that have no Mega Evolution, ergo it really defeats the whole purpose that you've proposed of being "The only hope" in some battle. barely anyone would be able to even use them. In fact, I've gone back and looked through all the profiles... and it seems you're the only one who has a Mega Evo possible for your line (And maybe Private DarkLight if we're going to include ORAS Megas)... Are you tryin to pull a fast one, cadet? -

And then there was only one pack and gun left. Surge picked them up, tearing off the special tags and slinging the bag over his shoulders and loading a clip into the modded M-16. Erick was the only squad member left without a Pack. Surge looked over to him before he could say a thing, however. "All MPs will be remaining on the base as the Garrison, Freeman. You're to report to Command Central by 09:00 hours in order for duty assignment." The man's face took on a noticeably disappointed expression, though all he did was stand at attention and say "Yes Sir...", checking his watch as he did so. only 15 minutes until the designated time. Surge turned back to the rest of the Squad, Setting his eyes on Lionel once again. "Time to head out to the objective, Spark Alpha. Carter, have you dropped and given me those twenty yet, Soldier?" ((Where is Bibs, soldiers?))

Sutoratosu replied to Chim's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
"Alright," Mareek said, heading over to Brendan's desk as Redwood attended to the others, Java following close behind, his eyes unreadable. He held up the Porygon's capsule, turning it around in his hand so that the man could have a clear view of the clip. "You see, The main issue with it is that the Clip tends to malfunction from time to time and fall off my belt. In fact, the latest incident was only a few minutes before I came up here." -

"Actually, I'd prefer letting them do whatever they came here for first," Mareek said, taking out Java's defective Capsule, Looking at Redwood. "Though, Of course, sir, If this isn't an opportune time, we can all just come back later on." All Java did was subtlety roll his eyes upon hearing the boy say that... -
Let's wait for Exlink to post so that we can just get to this damn lab without too many mishaps... we can manage that, right? yes? Good then, Cadets. But yes, Mareek will facepalm if it actually does occur and they end up there instead.
-
alright, enough, soldiers, Let's just all change the subject now. this is beginning to get a bit more acknowledgement on here than the current Scene with the four of them honestly warrants, and this OCC already has over 130 pages...
-
Soldier, before we could even be locked in, we'd have to actually be stupid enough to actually walk inside even after realizing it was the janitorial area.
-
@ Exlink: Just because the Lab is on the 7th floor doesn't necessarily mean it's the only thing on the seventh floor. To my knowledge, Sergeant Chimchain never stated that it is, Soldier, and one probably shouldn't go assuming it'll be as simple as just get on the elevator, head to F7, get off, and your right in the lab (as I interpret how you put it: "a couple steps away", which I assume by which you mean walk into the elevator and then just get off.) Ergo, Someone is probably indeed needed to lead the way in this little foray.

Pokémon Academy: Ch 2a: Dragons [IC]
Sutoratosu replied to Chim's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
"I...don't really know," Mareek admitted. "Back at the Professor's Garden, he didn't seem to have anything to be mad about. The only thing I can think of for him to be miffed about right now is that his Capsule's still broken." The Porygon nodded, as if to say 'Go on.' "Sorry about putting it off for this long," he continued, turning his attention to the creature. "I just never got a good opportunity to get it done inbetween classes and training and our strategy sessions every day. But there's nothing to stop us from getting it out of the way right now." Java's glare softened considerably at hearing the apology. He barely had to even do anything to coax it out of the boy... maybe he was wrong. And afterall, Erce has apparently been with Mareek for years and years now, he'd only been for a good month or two. Of course it was obviously going to take a while before Mareek was going to start treating him with the same absolute regard he did with the oversized mantis. He still couldn't help but feel a bit of jealousy for the bug type... Regardless, however, he'd just have to wait a while, continue to prove how useful he was. Java finally decided; he'd do just that. It wasn't that there wasn't any respect in his and Mareek's Trainer-Pokemon relationship; simply that more time was needed to get the amount he felt he deserved for his work... all he'd have to do is bid his time... Accepted, popped up on the Screen or Mareek's pokedex, along with Now get going before something comes up. "I think I just hit the nail on the head then," the boy said, putting away his dex and turning back to Danielle. "If you wouldn't mind leading the way now..." -

Java simply stared at Danielle for a moment, then turned his* attention to where Mareek was sitting under a nearby tree. It had obviously happened again, it's capsule's clip had stopped functioning. And Mareek was just sitting there, completely oblivious. It's ridiculous really, he had noticed it was broken over 2 weeks ago, why was it that he had still yet to do anything about it? Java figured though, that if that oversized mantis he cares about so much had an issue with her pokeball, he'd drop whatever he was doing to go get it examined and repaired. Interesting, no, really, It truly was. All Java had seen that damn scyther do was fight battles and train, while he himself had helped Mareek PLAN the strategies he used and Theorize about potential party members and coverage tactics... that stupid bug would be no where near as effective in a fight if not for Java. And she couldn't even talk. He could...well, at the very least, he was able to communicate in English. And yet, honestly, how much appreciation had he gotten over the last six weeks he'd had Mareek as his trainer? Not a sound was made as Java used psybeam on the journal in Mareek's hands, using it as a tractor beam like he had back at the Pond in Devin's garden. The thing came flying over, landing at Danielle's feet. The porygon's eyes held a look of anger. It was time to demand proper respect from this kid he had been busting his hump for all this time. Mareek noticed immediately as a Psybeam snatched the his journal right out of his grasp and flung it threw the air along with his favorite pen. "Really?" he said, taking out Erce's capsule from his belt, not noticing that his hand didn't brush against Java's while he did it. "Well, guess someone just issued a challenge." Before he could enlarge the capsule to full size and send out the Scyther, though, his Pokedex blazed to life in his pocket, making the signature glitching sound that he had come to know as Java'smakeshift message chime. He took it out, seeing a rather angry toned segment of text: YOU AND I HAVE MUCH TO SPEAK OF. BUT FIRST THINGS FIRST; GET OVER HERE NOW. "Get over here?" the trainer asked, wondering what Java could possibly be talking about... he was right here on his belt, wasn't h- Oh, no. he was not... it was that damn defective clip again. He looked around, quickly spotting his Porygon glaring angrily at him, floating in front of Slade and the two other students he'd seen earlier in the day before the Garden Visit. along with his journal and pen. "Eh, Sorry about not noticing that Java," he said as he walked over to his Co-Strategist, picking up his book and pen from the ground and returning them to the inner pockets of his jacket. "Here, since we're already right outside the main building, why don't we go see if anyone at this Lab I've heard about can help with the clip issue? Where's your ball, by the way?" Java was a bit surprised at how easy that had been... though this probably wasn't going to change anything in terms of getting equal respect, at least he wouldn't go rolling off with his capsule anymore whenever the Magnetic Clip suddenly stopped working. He fired another low intensity Psybeam, this time at his Capsule, still in Danielle's hands. it shot through the air, shoving itself right into Mareek's palms as another message appeared in his Pokedex: .... Fine. "Okay then," his trainer said, stowing the ball in his pocket for the time being. "Now there's just one problem... I don't really have any idea where in this place the Lab is..." He turned to Slade and Jacob and Danielle for the first time since walking over, the names popping into his head the moment he saw Danielle's and Jacob's faces "Danielle, was it?" he began. "Jacob? I'm fairly certain that if I don't have clue where the lab is, then Slade here probably won't either. But do either of you two happen to know the way?" -
sorry then, that little fact slipped my mind for a moment, Sergeant. Nevermind about Eviolite if it just functions exactly like an Everstone. Java will just try to get the capsule's clip fixed.

[OOC/Sign-ups] Surge Story
Sutoratosu replied to Sutoratosu's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Jory asked me a similiar question earlier about Nefertiti, Soldier. All I can say is that you will be able to find one during this chapter, and that Dominance will trust you enough to accept it in the next chapter. same goes for Nefertiti with Jory; he can find the moonstone during this chapter, but won't be able to use it until Chapter 4 opens. And yes, Spark Alpha. Evolution stones have a friendship requirement here. How do you think I was able to convince ol Infantry to choose one all those months ago? on an unrelated note, information on various things such as military rank used in the GWC and the organization of units and such will soon be provided in the OP. I will try to present Information about the world in various PDs throughout the story's course rather than dumping it all somewhere on here. (PD means "Plot Device", soldiers.)- 1189 replies

Not receiving a response from Private Carter in a timely fashion, Surge simply tossed the pack and gun to the young man, the supplies landing at his feet. He picked up two more bags, one of them a supply pack like all the rest, the other a Medic's satchel with a crimson cross emblazoned across the tan camouflage front. "Carter, drop and give me twenty Soldier," he ordered without even looking at the young man. "We don't have time to waste twiddling our thumbs." then he looked up from the tags attached to the current equipment load out. "Logan Walker!" he said. "Step forward!" ((Yes, soldier, both bags in my hands are for you. as for Bibs, consider this me postponing you having to post for a while longer.))

Yes you do, soldier. I'll control Java along the way while Mareek stays there and keeps making notes on Cipher. it could serve as a bit of a development opportunity for him when Danielle gets back and he sees Java with her and realizes how oblivious he's just been. And Java's smart enough to try to get help to fix his capsule's problem from one of the Lab techs. (I'm just going to start referring to the dang thing as a "him", soldier, since that's the honest vibe I'm getting from it's character when I'm writing it. I don't care if it's species is literally sexless.) EDIT: If Exlink gives that dang Magnemite that Eviolite... on second thought, doesn't matter. like Sergeant chimchain has already said: the next battle Slade gets into is going to be with Evan.
-
It doesn't matter, soldier. everyone had better learn to start trusting each other pretty quick if they want to live. I'm not going to be as forgiving in this RP as I am in Surge Story and, to a lesser degree than that, PSS. Dysfunctional military squadrons never do well in the field. It's like Major Bane said: "I'm not saying any of you have to be friends. I'm not saying any of you have to even like each other, in fact, I'll be blunt: some of you could be completely at each others throats for all I care; so long as when shit hits the fan, oh, and it most certainly will, let me tell you here and now, you'll have each other's backs without question." - Jace Michael Bane, Major(O-4)of the Esperanza Special Forces Murphy's law will be deployed a considerable amount more in this story if I see stupidity going on anywhere.

Pokémon Academy: Ch 2a: Dragons [IC]
Sutoratosu replied to Chim's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Mareek sat under the shade of a tree just outside the Main building on Campus, diligently writing quick notes on everything The boy from Orre had told him earlier about cipher, trying to retain every detail as that he transcribed it into the small, beaten leather journal he had kept over the years. It was the resource he had used to keep every detail on all the groups he'd ever studied... It was his Bestiary of Terror, for lack of a better term. He was so intensely focused that he didn't even notice when Java's capsule came loose on his belt and fell off, rolling into the middle of the path leading to the doors of the central building. He'd had this issue before a few times; The Porygon's capsule had a rather wonky magnetic clip and wasn't as stable or firmly attached on his person as Erce's was... then again, he had always taken care of Erce's capsule since the day he got it. Java simply had the slight disadvantage of being the second banana, and one who hadn't even been with Mareek for all that long really. It's wasn't that he didn't care, it was simply that he had only noticed the capsule's defective clip a week or two ago, and hadn't yet gotten around to fixing it yet. Either way though, Java's ball was still sitting there in the middle of the walkway, it's trainer so focused on his vendetta that he was oblivious to it... Danielle would probably notice it as she headed to the building in order to head up to the lab.
