It's fine cadet, just making sure people don't go trivializing it when it's a serious Disease (Type 1)/ Medical Disorder (Type 2)

Diabetes ain't fun or funny, soldier.... Stratos should know due to shitty genetic dispositions

[OOC/Sign-ups] Surge Story
Sutoratosu replied to Sutoratosu's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Tomorrow I'm going to take temporary control of Lionel in order to get this scene moving if Bibs hasn't posted yet. This scene honestly isn't all that important compared to everything else that's planned for this chapter, Soldiers, and there's no point in taking any more time on it than is absolutely necessary. Or perhaps I'll just toss the pack and gun at his feet and move on down the line. either one works.- 1189 replies

Don't you worry about it, Soldier. It's simply to complete the terrorist profile he's trying to build and eliminate the holes and missing information he had on them before. one of the biggest rules of war is Know thine enemy, cadet, and Mareek A. Sisto considers any and all terrorist organizations to be his "Enemy" for reasons which will eventually be further elaborated upon in the future.

Pokémon Academy: Ch 2a: Dragons [IC]
Sutoratosu replied to Chim's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
"I'll take you up on that offer to read the report, Seems that Cipher may well be the most dangerous group of them all," Mareek said, not believing the luck he had just run into. He turned to Claude after hearing the boy mention Flare's boss. "And you're right about it not being limited to one particular terror organization," he said. "Giovanni himself was actually the Leader of the Viridian city gym in kanto. Cells tend to implant their highest ranking members into positions of power to ease the pursuit of their ultimate goals; In fact, those that have been most successful always used this practice. It's easy to do whatever the hell you want when you have cash and power to abuse and there's no one who's willing to stop you because they know you can get to them or their families if you wanted to. Unfortunately that's precisely the reason why it's so successful in practice and why certain groups ever managed to get as far as they did." -
And now we venture down the rabbit hole, soldier... EDIT: This whole thing with anti-terrorism that Mareek has is probably a bit of an obsession...

"Their from Johto," Mareek answered simply. "Three pokemon that were killed in a fire at the bell tower in what's today known as Ecruteak city, and, according to legend, were given second life by Ho-oh. So... you're saying that each of these Admins had somehow captured Entei, Raikou, and Suicune...how?" he thought about that question for a moment... "On second thought, forget I just asked that. Terrorist have always found ways to capture and enslave a Legendary Pokemon if they're driven enough and have the man power and resources to pull it off. moving on, what became of this admin named Dakim afterwards? did he just fade into the local populace in Unova?" -
Druddigon (Because of Darryl)

I think from Devin's recent dialogue that Fairies were only discovered a while ago... so maybe the first option, soldier. As for Claude... Mareek's going to let Henry handle this.

"This is somewhat of a private conversation," Mareek said as the other student sidled closer to him and Henry. "So I would honestly appreciate it if you just respect that fact." Look damn it, just let this kid go away for now. after all this time, he finally had an opportunity to fill in a few holes for Cipher... and he honestly didn't need someone to go and potentially get in the way. Though, this was of course assuming that this other student (Henry) would be willing to talk to him about what he knew at all. -
Take your best shot at Stratos, Soldier. And don't confuse the persona of Stratos with Surge... because surge is far too easy. look at some of the content of this profile from before October 16 of this year using the "Find Content" button to get an idea

I'll be sure to barricade the city now, soldiers.

You just so happened to jump in during a rather slow time, Soldier. nothing to worry about.

I concur with the Captain. While one may not like or condone what Sir_Bagel did (Which I myself do not and have made no secret of, soldiers), One must at the same time acknowledges the fact that it was quite an intelligent play from a pure strategy stand point. But as the Captain has said, Soldiers, it's over now. Now is the time to prioritize; to focus our efforts on what is needed and not what transpired in the past. In the future, Do not exactly forget what happens, but simply refocus from it. set your mind back on the mission. That, Soldiers, is the path to victory.

SEACREST "Right, it would be very much so," Mac concurred, turning to Torrent. "And as for you, if you're telling the truth and not actually BSing us right now, then why don't you just go and ask someone in town to help you instead? after all, the three of us aren't that strong, considering we're just starting out." "Fine," Torrent sighed in defeat. it was a good effort though... "I can clearly see who the brains of this team is anyway. Nice counter, Swablu... I can see it's obvious I can't do anything to convince you; so I'm not gonna bother wasting anymore time trying." With that said he pivoted on his feet and walked back towards the town square, approaching Kage as he and his team members over saw the distribution of the items. "Quick," Mac said to Artemis and Otto, heading off down the road. "let's book it back to the castle before he changes his mind decides to come try again."

"You could say something a bit along both those lines, I guess," Mareek said to Henry. "But I have to admit, out of all the ones I've studied, Cipher posed the most challenge in terms of finding actual information and not just random rumors. Took me weeks and weeks of digging before I found anything at all, and even then all I got in return was a shred of some old report that only said they, and I quote; 'operated in the Orre Region and somehow had managed to manipulate the minds of pokemon on a massive scale for their ends before being stopped.' It's still the only one I don't have the full profile on, Don't know their leaders, their ideology, how they funded themselves, aside from the name and where they worked, I've got virtually nothing. though..." He scratched his chin for a moment, debating about whether or not to try. "If you're an Orre National, You probably know the story of Cipher better than anyone else," he continued. "And from what it sounds like, you already know a lot more about them than me. Which moves me on to my point: would you mind filling me in on the details for them?" -
And so the mission carries on. Barely 5 days in, and he's already having second thoughts. Shameful, soldier. Simply shameful.
-
And it certainly doesn't help that the accurate character and the characterization he'd like to portray clash so violently that it's beyond ridiculous, Soldiers. Whereares Stratos wants to portray Surge in a far more respectable and refined light, the games and anime make him out to be nothing more than a glorified muscle head who thinks might is right.

Pokémon Academy: Ch 2a: Dragons [IC]
Sutoratosu replied to Chim's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
"Despicable..." Mareek muttered as he listened to the Professor explain the Dragon's story. he had left the Collin guy at the woodline in order to move a little closer to hear. "Simply Despicable; People viewing pokemon as nothing more than mere tools for profit..." He honestly wasn't very surprised though. He had known full well for a very long time that there were people like that, and much worse, in the world. Those few but numerous enough individuals who pursue their own ambitions with no regard to the cost or harm that might come to others, constantly causing conflict and strife for everyone who just so happens to get caught in the consequences. And their was something even more interesting; throughout recent history, whenever these type of people would band together in order to further pursue their Idealogies through violence and Illegal activity... who was it who ultimately stopped them? the Police? the Military? The Government? No. None of the above. So far it had always been a young trainer, or several trainers in the most recent scenarios, whom steps up and actually does something. He had read, re-read, Studied, and eventually memorized the news over the years, He knew of every major Terror Organization that had arisen prior to the LT system being introduced, Their founders, de facto heads, ideology, Area of Operation, Estimated strength in numbers, how they funded themselves, what major acts they all committed, all of it; from Magma, Aqua, Galactic, Plasma, Flare, and The Rockets... Especially the damn rockets. The only question in his mind: Why the everloving fuck was it always some young trainers who had stopped them all? Where the hell had the actual authorities been when these children, some of them younger than himself, had been fighting Gangsters and Mofiosos and Criminals who would have no issue just killing them and dumping them in a ditch somewhere? The way things worked in the world simply made no sense the way they were...And that's precisely why he wanted to go into government when he got older... to try to fix some of this utter, inexcusable incompetence and absolute Tauros shit on the part of the Authorities that so commonly is found acceptable by people... "What?" he questioned angrily when he felt Java nudging his shoulder, breaking him out of his thoughts. The Porygon backed up a little in the air after seeing his face, a concerned look in it's eyes. He realized how just how his expression must look right now, if even Java, who didn't seem to be phased by much, was deterred from getting too close by it... "Return..." he sighed, recalling Java to it's capsule and trying to calm himself down, though he knew full well it wasn't working. The smoldering anger he still felt remained plainly visible in his dark blue eyes. That's when something that another of his Classmates just said sparked his attention. Orre? He turned to face the young man who had mentioned it. "So...you're from Orre?" he asked Henry. "Former base of Operations for the Terrorist cell known as 'Cipher'?" -
Chimchain "I'm the Patriarch of this group," Whitehoove said curtly. "Obviously, I take no "partners" or "Riders", boy..." "Just shut up and let the offensive little whelp be your rider for the time being," Blackjack scolded his elder brother from nearby. "We honestly don't have the time for your prideful and conceded nature." Whitehoove looked at his young sibling, stamping his hoove in outrage at this irony. "This from the Steed who just flat rejected him for similar reasons of Pride!?" "Stop this damn bitching, both of you!" Elybis roared, stopping both the brothers in their tracks before the Argument could even get underway. "We've already lost half the fucking pack, and if I have to sit by as yet another steed goes missing and has God-knows-what happen to them, because you two couldn't just be mature and just keep your god-be-damned mouths shut when the other makes a jibe..." His voice grew darker as he trailed off, a troubling intent held in his eyes. "Fine," Whitehoove finally grumbled. He turned back to Trystane. "I quite reluctantly accept you as my rider...what is your name, human?" Snap "Greetings then, Octavia," the female mount answered. "They call me Aurelis, though I personally have no concern with names." A few shouts back and forth and then an outburst from one of the elder horses in the pack echoed out just then. Whatever seemed to be going on, it was over now however. "Do not pay any mind to those two," She continued, nodding towards Blackjack and Whitehoove, both of whom were now putting distance between themselves and refusing to speak. Elybis was still glaring at them with eyes like smoldering coals. "They tend to get into squabbles from time to time, but the Aegis always manages to set them straight."

Mareek made his way into the area as Devin calmed down the raging Dragon type and started questioning the other students. He glanced around at the craters and various small fires that burned in them around the place, sighing at the sheer destruction that his Classmates had doubtlessly had some part in starting; They had to have done something or had some hand in this, otherwise, why would they be anywhere around here if it was just some random fight between dragons? Yeah...they've definitely gone and done something stupid here. He thought to himself. And They must have really pissed something off to cause all this mayhem. "Eh, Water Guy," Mareek called behind him, not knowing Collin's actual name and not really caring at the moment. "Come see this; it pretty much explains what we saw and heard back at the pond." -
Rest assured, Sergeant, I know the issues of the Glass Cannon Syndrome that plagues the Pikachu species. There's no use in prolonging it's suffering by denying the GAO contact with a thunder stone
