    SEACREST "Here, let me carry it for you." Mac said as he scooped up the bag from Artemis, shouldering the weight easily. "And now that we've gotten our supplies, I think it's about time we head back to the Castle... where'd the liar go?" "I'm right here, ya know!" Torrent called a bit angrily from nearby in the crowd. he approached the trio, his chest puffed out pridefully. "And I'll have you know; I strongly resent being called a liar! Lazy? yes. But a liar? that's where I simply have to draw the line, good sirs and madam!" "You eavesdropped on our entire conversation earlier, didn't you?" Macmillan tossed a quick glance back at Otto and Artemis as he spoke. "I honestly didn't have to," Torrent said, still a little miffed. "You were whispering to each other so loudly that you might as well have just screamed for the entire conversation. That and my gift of excellent hearing." The Piplup turned to Artemis and Otto, looking both of them in the eye. It was time to break out the big guns if he ever wanted to find Bubble and Pixi. "So...I presume you all are just gonna head back to the castle now; completely disregarding the fact that two fellow members are currently MIA? Alright then guys, fine, it's your choice... I'm just gonna be dreading having to tell Lady Mira about them being missing though, and I WILL have to tell her, believe me...She'll be asking questions about it if I don't. I'm especially gonna hate the part where I'll have to admit that I asked you guys for help trying to find them, and you just flat refused and headed home..."     Interesting how he got so excited all of a sudden and completely ignored my question, Mareek thought to himself, the other young man pointing out his partners to him. Yeah... He's probably is one of those types of people... can't say I'm much surprised. What he said however, was "A water specialist, eh? alright... just hope you can move a lot better in water than you seem to do on land... jagged rocks aren't exactly as forgiving if you bump into them at full speed as people are."

    Alright, the talking fruit has spoken! and you're approved by the way, Bibs...And about that whole "why do they obey me?" question... all will be revealed in time. And @ Murdoc, I've tried to go back and calculate for you what apporpiate levels for Nathan's team should be... but I don't have any clue what level they were by the end of Chapter 1 and I honestly can't find it anywhere on here... So here's a guestimate based on action in this chapter Charmeleon (At least lvl.16 at the end of Chapter 1) +3 from Articuno fight+1 from crusader's capture= 19...+5 after time skip= Level 24 at beginning of Chapter 3 Bagon (at least lvl 15 at end of Ch.1) (Wasn't used a whole lot in battle during this chapter, so now real levels gained) +5 from time skip= Lvl20 at beginning of ch.3 Skarmory(Maximum of level 20 at capture) +5 from time skip= 25 at beginning of Ch.3 So, basically here is what your current team is: Charmeleon- At least lvl.25 Bagon- At least lvl.20 Skarmory- At least lvl.25 Sound good?

"I need something that can take care of Rock types, but also wanna show people who might be a bit cocky during the trip that simply having a dragon type on their team doesn't guarantee victory..." He looked over at the Horsea and the Kindra swimming in the pond. He figured this guy had probably been watching the latter and had gotten a bit too excited and fell in. "I don't suppose you might be one of those people...are you? The ones who think that the moment a wyrm joins the party; every battle is going to be a complete shoe-in?"

    Seems alright. no BS detected. You are approved for the levels, Super. @Murdoc: you could just say they're all just level 28 and be done with it. or you could go back and read through the fights to try to determine how many levels you gained this last chapter

    Ethic only saw one thing as Marcus burned up in the heat... The gleaming flash of a blade hurtling right towards him. "Shit..." He cursed under his breath. the thing was moving far too fast to consider dodging it, and Ethic was too tired to even try... but he had no intention of letting this smuck kill him again. Didn't he say something about getting stronger as he killed more people? oh...yes, that's right, he had; Ethic had mocked him for it just moments ago. "Only one thing to do..." He broke off the Death Link, right then and there, falling off of the ceiling and plummeting down towards the ground over 40 meters below. But he wasn't going to wait to go splat. hitting the ground would be far more painful than he liked. He had enough in him for one last shot though... and he knew who is target was.... It was himself. "I don't suppose that the sin of suicide counts if we do it down here," he said as he brought up his right hand to his temple, calling up Death again as his hand began to glow in a very faint light. It was this or wait until impact; he was going to die either way, that much was inevitable in this situation. But at least this way, he could take his fate into his own hands... thankfully getting offed wasn't a permanent ailment around here. A final bullet of life energy formed at the point of his index finger, held out in the shape of a gun against his skull. And then without a sound, he fired it into his temple. He was dead long before his body hit the floor with a sickening crunch, bones smashing and Organs rupturing as blood began to pool out beneath it. Then the fire of the blast passed over him... and he was gone, simply vaporized by the heat.

    ((You're doing fine, Chimchain.)) "Here..." Mareek said as he walked over to the pond's edge and held his hand out for Collin. "But if you fall in again after this, don't expect much help from me that time around..." it was obvious he was more annoyed than anything else right now. That's honestly all he could think of this other boy as right now; an annoying clutz... he hadn't seen much evidence to suggest he was anything else.

    Sir Fangsalot looked at the Sniper hesitantly, maintaining his fighting stance. But his eyes showed he was slowly considering the offer. As did the eyes of his subordinates. "You put down your weapons and help us," Absalom called from the door way. "And I'm fairly certain that no one will be able to bitch and moan about what happened between mankind and the Nagas over thousands of year in the past... mostly because the majority of people have no idea you even exist at all." The was the final push that Fangsalot and his fellow serpents needed; for the second time that night, they lay down their weapons on the street, breaking out of formation and into a loose line. the boy emerged from his hiding place a little, fairly certain that the looming slaughter fest had just been avoided. "Fine..." the Naga said. A loud series of claps echoed from the nearby roof top. Anansi was sitting there, grinning bright as day. a pair of pure white, spindly arms and hands had emerged from his two fore legs, which was what the clapping sound was. "Excellent," He said approvingly, his applause continuing. "most excellent indeed... yes, I definitely see that you are worthy of my company. Faced with the prospect of slaying those who until then had been your allies, you chose to lay down your weapons and negotiate rather than engage in mutual genocide." The applause stopped. the pair of arms retracted back into the Judge's body. "This twas a trial, Sinbad, Darius of Renalim... to see whether you are truly the types that are needed in this era." He began to descend the building, climbing down it's face as easily as he had climbed up. "I've no doubt now... you truly have the stuff of heroes. I should know; tis my job to determine those who do from those who do not, and of those who do." Fangsalot had a vexed look on his face, crossing his arms in confusion. "Then what you sssaid jussst a few momentsss ago..." "All nothing but empty words," Anansi confirmed. "I judge individuals based solely on their own actions, not that of their fore fathers... and besides, even if I did, you'd all be going straight to the pit. Mankind and the Nagas were absolutely horrible to one another; it matters not who drew first blood, only the fact that blood was drawn at all. The only way I could stop you from killing each other off completely was by leaving Elise in order to force you both to negotiate truce..." with that he turned to Sinbad. "As for the situation at hand, you require a way out of this place, do you not?"

    Oh...wait...sorry then, I completely forgot about that. So yeah, Bibs has yet to answer anyways, while we wait for him... I've pretty much gotten the general consensus now and know what needs to be worked on and tweaked in the near future... so, lets talk about that 3 month time jump. Basically, you all just went from mere Cadets to fully fledged Soldiers in this latest chapter, in your actions, even if not by official declaration by head officers. You not only hunted down and killed the Ice Chicken (Which is what the troops at Fort Bexly have so cleverly taken to calling it), but also the man who was responsible for the attack (The official story is that Perchenkov was located by you all and then killed while engaged in a fire fight with the reinforcements McCarthy led.). Congrats, you're names are known well throughout the base, as is your Commanding Officer's. The Squadron cast aside the assigned name "Fox1" a few days after the attack, choosing to be called "Spark Alpha" instead. you all went from constant training under surge, to being assigned to active missions around the base, things like manning the guard towers and perimeter, patrolling forest, Dish Duty, and guarding Bexly scientist out on field studies and observations... but one day, you awaken to find Surge waiting outside the barracks, as is routine... but instead of telling you the mission, he has another announcement to make... How well will you all do in an urban warfare setting? That's the gist of whats been going on, a lot more will be explained by the Chapter 3 IC opening post. As for Levels and such: -You all may add 5 levels to all your partners from training during down time over these last few months. -The Wild Encounter Level Cap in Bexly Forest has been moved from 20 to 25 - Any pokemon that is currently meeting requirements to evolve into a new form may have done so over the last 3 months (you must still check with me first, as always) - All Pokemon who formerly evolved by trade will evolve based on friendship instead... because trade machines don't exist. -Starting this chapter, GAOs that require Friendship in order to evolve may do so if they have been on a PCs team for at least 9 months, so currently, the only one falling into this category who can evolve right when Chapter 3 starts is Kenny's Riolu. And by 9 months, I obviously 9 months since it was Caught, and it must have been in an active slot on a Players party for at least 70% of the time during those 9 months (so what this basically means is; no, you can not go out and catch a haunter, keep it's capsule under your bunk for 9 months, and then send it out one day and have it evolve into gengar, you have to actually have it on your active team and communicate and interact with it and such for the majority of the time period) - You all now wear standard issue Fatigues instead of the Cadet Uniforms. well, now all that's left is to wait for the talking fruit to stop by. Then we can get everything like your parties levels at the beginning of Ch.3 sorted out and start

    The moment that the Quartet had all answered the White Judge's question, the sound of a body being thrown to the ground hard came from behind them. The Naga's had tossed Stratos' unconscious form aside and retrieved all their weapons from the street. A makeshift phalanx formed in front of Anansi and the travelers, all of the Snake men hissing contemptuously. "You!" The Leader roared. "Then the legends were true... the elder told no lies to us all those years ago..." Anansi turned slowly to face the armed fang faces, the glow of his carapace intensifying. The ground shoke even harder, sending more stones toppling down from the ceiling. "And then there is still the matter of you..." He said. "I had well thought that after my intervention all those years ago, you reptiles would've all inbred and died out after a few decades down here... you deserved no better fate, given the things you did." "The thingsss we did!?" Sir Fangsalot ((Yes, that's how I'm going to refer to the leader for now..)) hissed. "That wasss centuriess upon centuriess ago! and what man did to our kind during the war made our own actionsss look like a friendly conversation in comparison! they raped, murdered, beat and slaughtered usss by the whole sssale!" "Only after you yourselves Beat men, raped women and young girls alike, took hostages and slaves, pissed on sacred ground, slaughtered and ate hundreds of captives, destroyed the land and made the Diros plains into the dessert it is now." Anansi turned to Sinbad and his men. "Noble Sinbad... I would destroy these savage beasts myself, but in my current state, I'd end up losing control and killing you all in the process... ergo..." The Judge easily scaled a nearby building, getting out of the way and giving Sinbad and the others a clear view of the Naga warriors, still assembled into a Phalanx. "Have at these monstrosities!" Sir Fangsalot glared at the group, being the only one not in the phalanx. he hefted his weighty sword, bringing it to the ready."We will desstroy you right along with him if you dare ssstand againssst uss! Think about what you are about to do!" Meanwhile, all Absalom could do was tuck himself into a nearby door way, kneeling down and keeping an eye on the escalating situation. He had no weapons on him... and quite honestly, didn't much feel like getting stuck in the middle of what he anticipated to become a massive battle royal and the chaos sure to come with it...

    "Speaking of which," Blackjack interjected, sneaking up behind Trystane's back. He sounded quite miffed at this ridiculous wait. "You have a good two or so minutes before I say 'fuck the deal' and just leave with my pack. My brother can barely keep the other's controlled with how on edge they are, and this childish nonsense you humans seem so damn dead set to indulge in is certainly not helping things." "Everyone pick a mount then," Eric said to the group without even looking at the horse. He turned his back and started walking towards Aaron, another circle appearing at his feet. "We're leaving, now. enough time has already been wasted on this childish bullshit tonight..." The moment the words had left Eric's mouth, all the Shadow steeds flocked over to the travelers, led by a Horse who looked identical to Blackjack, albeit with rings of white coloring the coat of the lower parts of his legs. "You heard him then," Blackjack nodded at his brother and his fellow pack members. "Find someone to get friendly with and mount up; There's nine of us and seven or so of you, more than enough, so yay, no one has to share a ride... and on a related note: please, don't go giving us nicknames... all of us already have something we're known by that our mothers gave us... and they're generally much better names than the hogwash you humans commonly come up with..."

    Mareek turned his attention away from Lana and the other boy as a loud splash came from not far away. He looked just in time to catch a glimpse of a familiar looking boy going under the pond's surface, the water rippling and roiling from his intrusion... of course... It's the clutz who ran into him on the first day at the accedemy. No surprise that he had just gone and fallen into the Kingdra pool. Honestly, he preferred to just stand by and let the fool get himself out... but, that wouldn't be very "kind", now would it? "Hey, You need any help over there?" he called. The Reluctance in his voice was clear as day.
