  1. "Intercept it with Discharge, now!" Mareek shouted. Java was preparing to do just that before his trainer had even thought of issuing the order, it's body glowing a bright blue glow as he finished the sentence. By the time the Thundershock from 101 had arced halfway across the field, the porygon had unleashed torrents of blue lightning from it's body, it's discharge colliding with the thundershock and the two electric attacks completely canceling each other out as the air crackled. Mareek was impressed by the creatures initative so far; but this fight was obviously far from over... Slade was much better than he had ever made him out to be. 101's spinning magnets is where his sight fell as he tried to determine why the Tri attacks from earlier hadn't seemed to do anything... and then he saw the reason why. "Son of a bitch..." he muttered to himself, recalling the last order he had given Erce. "Ventus Scrapper completely backfired then... was hoping to destroy those damn magnets; not make them stronger... and it probably doesn't help that Tri Attack has an Electric component in it. That likely explains why we keep missing." He looked to Java as the Porygon hovered there in the air, apparently having become aware of the issue with Tri-Attack as well, since it didn't launch any more. "Well, that's fine," he said. "We don't need Tri Attack, now do we Java? Use Sharpen instead." The porygon obeyed, it's body glowing white and it's nose becoming a little more elongated than it was before, now sporting a bit of a sharp edge to it. But neither it or mareek thought that now was the proper time to attack, and so they both simply waited there, Mareek smirking slightly as he looked across the field at his roomate. They had to wait just a little longer now... "Make the next move, Slade," he called. "Go on, I dare you...I'll drag this out all day if I have to." =========== Status Java-100% Pure Electric type Attack+1 Moves used: Discharge-(Used to intercept and cancel out Thundershock) Sharpen- (Attack stage raised by 1)
  2. Mother of God... What has Mareek made Erce do? no matter... we have other things to try... *Chuckles mysteriously*
  3. A smile flahsed across Mareeks face when he saw Slade resorting to the same tactics twice. He was ready this time. Time to turn the tide of this fight completely around. "Conversion 2!" he ordered before the thunder wave could make impact. Java's body glowed white for a few moments, then the light faded. The thunder wave hit seconds later, though it did nothing to the porygon. Mareek's dex came to life once again in his pocket. he pulled it out, seeing a new message from Java, consisting of only one word, as all the others had: ELECTRIC. Mareek chuckled silently to himself. They had just come into some luck. Some very major luck... a nice little strategy had just been plopped into his lap. "Maybe we can win this yet," he said. His attention turned back to Java. "Give them a few more Tri Attacks!" The porygon obeyed, actually waiting for Mareek to finish this time. The creatures body burned with hot white light as three spheres of color formed in front of it, connecting with a white triangle as they had before, then launched the attack towards 101. But that wasn't all; Java's body retained the white glow as it again prepared Tri Attack in quick succession and launched it right behind that one. And then it did it one last time to finish as it's body lost the white glow. Zooming towards 101 were the three attacks... ======= Status Java- 100% -Pure Electric type currently. Moves used: Conversion 2-(Used to change to pure electric type) Tri Attack x3-(First one gets Analtic boost, so 80 x 1.3= 104 power, the other two are 80 power)
  4. oh... big mstake slade... Now Java is gonna be able to get Analytic boost every time he attacks... and something else too...
  5. Pretty much what Turbo said. It would honestly be a bit of bad writting if henry were to just change personas all of a sudden without some type of fore shadowing or trigger event to change who he is. just keep him like he is for now; I don't really think people are all that phased by his personality anyway.
  6. "what the hell are you talking about?" Eric asked, standing up. "I couldn't see anything that could've signified that at all... And of all people, I think I would know. I didn't sit through all those damn anatomy lectures as a child for nothing..." "He's referring to his eyes, fool," Cesealia interjected a bit curtly. then she turned on Matrim, suspicion on her face. "But just how would you know about that? You don't look like the typical scholar..." "You can interogate people later, damn it!" the toad croaked. Everyone in the entire group could hear him clear as day. "You have more important things to worry about right now!" "God..." Aaron said in response. "I swear to god, I must've hit my head or something... The amount of animals that are suddenly beginning to talk is ridiculous... " he rubbed his temples in frustration, taking his glasses off for a moment. "Alright," he said to Matrim and Ko'Luki. "Please, please, tell me that you two can hear this...this thing...because I think I'm going insane..."
  7. "Oh, Flies..." a hissing sound filled the area. "Scrawl like flies... been so long he feast on them... long long time... not since people be here and feed scrawl for help." the scuttling sound came again, this time repeated and much faster. within an instant, a large arachnid stuck it's head into Sinbad's line of sight, opening it's mandibles wide and preparing to chow down... until it stopped for some reason. "Wait..." he said, strafing around sinbad. The sniper could see all eight of his saphire blue eyes glued to him The giant spider had a golden carapace that shined in the light, casting a glow that illuminated a little more of the area. if Sinbad squinted, he would see it was some type of ancient library. "You not flies... Scrawl know you not... flies never talk before... only people and big bad snakes do..." The curious creature came back around to face Sinbad, finishing it's examination of him. "I see no scales... so you must be person?" Scrawl said hesitantly. "Be Scrawl right? be you person? You have flies for Scrawl?" he smiled after the last question... a rather strange sight, on a spider that was seven feet tall and about the size of a horse drawn carriage... and whose legs were barbed and gleaming with spikes that looked as if they were steel, and longer than dirks.
  8. "I'm wished it could be that simple..." Absalom sighed a little dejectedly. "But the book... was very adamant that it had to be a blood descendant of the Dirosi royal family. Not even a badge from the king's guard like the one in your hand can equal to that. But maybe...wait..." he looked up at the Naga standing around the place idlely. They had traded Carrying duty for Stratos multiple times since he and Gideon had been speaking. Now the leader himself was shouldering the warriors weight. "Where's the fast way out of here?" he demanded somewhat harshly. "What are you talking about?" the head warrior asked. Absalom pointed back towards the cliff where they had all entered the cavern, his face a mask of seriousness. "Don't you bullshit me!" he said in response, causing the warrior to shift a little nervously. "I know that there has to be another way in and out of here; you and your kind couldn't have possibly been living here, there's no signs of recent habitation!" The warrior retreated back a few steps, getting strangely defensive for some reason. "I agreed to assissst the Sssky Sssslayer," he hissed. "Not you... I'm only going along becaussse you seem to be in hisss company; but you do not know what you are assssking of me boy...ssshowing you the way out of thisss place meanss certain death for usss all..." "And staying here means certain death for Stratos!" "Ssstop your quesstionsss, boy... I ssspeak nothing but the truth when I tell you that you don't want to go the other route from here. It issss like traveling through hell itsself..." Absalom turned to Gideon, disgruntled at how damn evasive the Naga was being. "I think we need to convince him to talk..." he reached his hand to the quiver on his back, drawing two steel tipped arrows. He shot his free hand up to his shoulder, preparing to draw his bow and notch them...when he realized he didn't have it. *** "Following in my foot steps I see," Zoliver's mother said. She finished slicing the bread loaf, preparing the four plates and ladelling the soup on the stove into each of the small bowls. Just as sreached down to carry them to the table, there came a loud, insistent knocking on the door of the shop downstairs. She put down the bowls, glancing at the stone passage way leading down to her forge. "A bit late for a customer to be around," she muttered under her breath skeptically. The knocking continued, growing greater and more urgent. "Zoliver, hand out the food, No cheating your sisters, I'll be right back." with that said she headed down the stone stair case and disappeared from the kitchen. Down at the docks... "What in the blazes is this!?" John demanded as jack stood before him. "We are not looting the town, boy! we take only from these docks, then we leave before any alarm can be raised." "But Cap'n," he interjected. "Why should we restrict ourselves to only ever hitting docks where ever we go? why can't we ever advance into the towns? You said it yourself, this place is a shit hole! who would give a dusty fuck if we raided the place and burned it as we sailed away?" John gripped his battleaxe, fingers bonewhite. Damn it... just what he didn't want to happen; they were beginning to question his ways... he'd have to stop things before they came to mutiny. "Get back on that fucking ship," he said. "Now, Scallywag!" Jack stood there for a moment... then his face took on a look of defiance. "No! fuck you, Nix!" he shouted, turning to the rest of the crew assembled on the docks. "Eh, boys, why we gotta live in the poor house just because Cap'n here is too much of a pussy to go and launch an actual raid? Why shouldn't we just stop listening to his horse shit explanations and just go loot the fucking place!?" Slowly but surely, murmurs began. John knew he was to late when the others began to echo Jack's idea. "Eh... he's got a good point!" one said. "Aye, that he does! isn't raiding how a pirate makes their living anyway?" another called. "Indeed it is." a third added "smuggling ain't enough these days, what with the economy what it is. People just aren't buying." Their discontent soon grew into a drone of voices as they conversed back and forth about it... until Jack held up his hand in a rallying gesture. "then you see what I'm talkin' about, don't you?" he said, raising his voice. "AYE!" the entire crew shouted in mutiny. that was it, it was over. in just five minutes, John had lost complete control of the bastards and they had chosen Jack as their new captain. But even despite this little fiasco, John found himself laughing. Needless to say, it rather unsettled the mutineers. "OH, THAT'S JUST FUCKING GREAT THEN!" John shouted in a rage laced roar, tossing his head back and continuing the disturbing laugh "I LEAD YOU FUCKERS FOR ALMOST A DECADE AND A HALF NOW, AND YOU FUCKING BETRAY ME LIKE THIS!" he directed his gaze at them now, his eyes glowing a dark red as he initiated a fire resonance and the area around the docks began to grow ever darker. "That's all well and dandy, boys, but now you face the wraith of John Zoliver Nix!" The darkness closed in on them from all sides, overcoming their vision and plunging them all into blackness... except for john, who could see plain as day where they all where. He brought up his battle axe, the head bathed in scarlet flame as he took off towards jack, cleaving the man in two in an instant. "Jack's dead!" he laughed into the darkness. The crew was horrified when they heard his cackle break through like that. "You're all next, you traitorous Nix Fuckers!" What followed was a chorus of screams and shouting as John cut down more of the traitors, the scent of blood and magic fire hanging heavy in the air... but little did he know that the majority of them had already escaped and were preparing to loot the town and leave nothing behind but ashes... *** Sinbad awoke at the bottom of the small hidden shaft he had fallen into shortly after beginning his search through the rubble. The sniper's head was a bit foggy, he found that he couldn't remember exactly what had happened; only that he'd moved one piece of wreckage in particular, and the next moment he had been falling. Light trickled down into the strange area from above. the floor at his feet was cobbled stone, covered with years and years of dust. Cobwebs as big as he was tall hung all over the place, obscuring the view any further into the area. The was a strange scuttling noise nearby. eight blue eyes peered at him from the darkness, set high off the floor. "Ooooooh," a voice chimed. it sounded curious. "What has we here, who be you?"

  10. I'll leave whether or not any of your PCs know one another already up to you. Don't go pulling a brady bunch though; it's highly unlikely that everyone is already going to know everyone else on the team
  11. actually...wait... Chimchain, what do you want me to do with him right now? Because I Honestly don't see where I'm supposed to insert him into the scene just yet.
  12. alright... now where'd I put the little Terrorist... I was actually legit thinking about this for Mareek... thought it could be interesting given that her level of introversion is far higher than his. (Which is why I want a battle between the two... to at least get some sort of introduction)
  13. Erce was cuaght up in the electric overload in an instant, unable to get away due to her paralysis actually kicking in for once, binding her to her spot. There was nothing she could do as the blast made impact and sent her flying through the air. a loud thid sounded as she landed right at Mareek's feet, out cold. Sparks and static still buzzed in the air around her as Mareek took out her capsule and recalled her to it. "You tried your hardest, Erce," he said. "That's all I could ask from you, old friend." Beside him Java was looking at 101 and Flare with a strange stare, as if it were taking them in whole, trying to analyze them right then and there and find every bit of information it could about them... which Mareek figured was exactly what it was doing, becuase after several seconds his Dex began to glitch out again. The screen was stuck on the pages for Growlithe and Magnemite, black horizontal bars and broken coding flashing across them every few moments. There was a loud electronic screech from the device as Java broke it's mysterious stare off and turned to him expectantly. The dex was perfectly fine again, still on the page for Magnemite. "Did you just...?" The screen faded to white and the word Yes appeared in black letters. Followed by Now? "Um... I guess so..." he answered. He had known a bit about what porygons were able to do with electronics and computers... but hearing and seeing was honestly two different things. The hacking earlier had been something, yes, but this was far more. The thing had just gone into his dex of it's own accord and pulled up the information it needed... and then it had sent him a electronic message asking him if he wanted to switch it in now.... Java hovered from Mareek's side out onto the battle field, facing down the Magenmite across the way. "Use Tri-" Before Mareek could even finish the command, three energy spheres, one colored red, one blue, and one yellow, formed infront of Java, a white triangle forming in between them and connecting them. then the Porygon launched the strange attack towards 101, the beam zipping towards the Magnemite and closing in fast... ============ Status Erce- 0% -Fainted Moves used: None Java- 100% Moves used: Tri Attack
  14. Very clever. Looks like Erce is going down for now... Anyways, in the future, for anything related to whether or not hits land on Erce when shes boosted with Agility, I will be using either this thing Dobby posted:http://wheeldecide.com/ Or this online coin tosser right here: http://www.virtualcointoss.com/ Though of course, I will overide a miss if circumstances make it only logical that she is indeed hit by a move. I'll also be using them for any other statistics.
  15. "Double hit, Destroy those magnets; use vacuum wave on your claws to insulate them!" Mareek shouted immediately after slade had given his own commands. Erce, despite being stiffened by her paralysis and made a little less agile, was still able to react quickly due to the agility speed boost, appearing right in front of 101, miniature tornadoes forming around her claws, which would not only block out electricity, but also put more force behind the attack. she brought down both her twister cloaked scythes in quick successive strikes at lightning speed before the other pokemon could launch it's ordered combo. At this range, her missing 101's magnets was pretty much as likely as a Snorlax flying on it's power. Meanwhile Mareek looked at Java as Erce tried to hold out a little longer. Damnit... he thought, scolding himself. I underestimated him and let things get to this situation... No counters except for Vacuum wave... which he's obviously found a way around... We'll have to take more drastic tactics now; those magnets are gonna have to go..."We can at least say that we fought like lions..." he sighed to Java. "Be ready to go in, Java... Erce isn't going to be able to endure this fight for too much longer at this rate..." ============= Erce-53% -Paralyzed -Speed+4 Moves used: Vacuum wave (Power of 60 after technician)- on her own claws in order to provide greater impact force and serve as a buffer to any electric charge + Double hit (doesn't recieve technician boost due to the current tactic)- used to intercept 101's combo; aimed for the magnets on the side of it's body... Vacuum wave and Double hit together make Ventus Scrapper Tactics used: Ventus Scrapper (100% accuracy at this range)- Hits opponent with a succesive hit attack after cloaking it's claws with Vacuum wave; Power of 95 in this case(60 technician boosted Vacuum wave+ unboosted 35 power double hit); Attack Category of Physical: is of the FIGHTING type due to Vacuum wave
  16. Mareek took a step back when he saw that. Erce was sent sprawling into the dirt by that little unexpected attack. Though the Scyther got back up with fire in her eyes, noticeably injured by the attack, but far from down. He had completely misjudged Slade's competency... a mistake he would stop making right now. Now was the time to really get serious. no more bull shiting the other side. the gloves come off, and they come off now. Slade had just proven himself to be an actual threat in this battle. It was obvious that everything he was going to do, all Slade was going to do in counter to it was keep using lock on "Looks like I have no choice but to fight like I mean it," he said. all trace of the previous relaxed demeanor was gone from his voice and posture. "That was clever slade; there's little chance we can win this thing with you spamming Lock-On... but don't think I'm gonna lay down and just give you victory! You'll have to put us down first!" He looked to Erce. "Let's pull another agility, then show em the way to tornado alley!" She nodded in agreement, again using agility to up her speed and blitz around the field. A second later, two Horizontal Tornadoes tore through the air from where she lat stopped, both of them moving with lightning speed towards 101 and colliding in a combined wind storm... with 101 right in the collision center of it. =============== Erce- 53% -Paralyzed -Speed +4 Moves used: -Agility -Vacuum Wave x2 Tactics used: - 'Show em the way to Tornado Alley' (2 Vacuum waves launched at each other that collide with a foe in the middle- power of 40+40= 80, does not receive technician boost)
  17. Well... seems you're smarter than I thought. don't take that as an insult. It's obvious Mareek can't possibly win this unless moves in this RP are restriced by PP... but I doubt that, so... You're gonna work for this victory.
  18. I'd say this fight with Slade was already over because of Mareek and Erce's Zephyr Beat Tactic and that the sun won't help you... but with that paralysis, things are gonna be thrown off a little...all of his tactics to take care of Erce's vulnerability to fire relied on being able to be far faster and agile... Oh, and by the way, Exlink, ZB is a tactic consisting of three components, so after that Vacuum wave, there'll be a lightning Quick Double Hit or Fury Cutter coming from the opposite direction next in order to finish... or, that's what I would say, if it weren't for that damn Paralysis...
  19. Chimchain, about support moves that boost stats: Are they gonna be used with the same effects as they would in PO where you'd just get a boost and that's it; or are we gonna do it more like the anime where they have more of a strategic advantage than just that? (EX: like how I used Agility to manuever behind Slade's magnemite) I'm 90% sure that I already know what your answer is gonna be, but just making sure.
  20. Erce began to snarl as the wave of electricity passed over her, noticeably making her a little stiffer. Mareek looked back and forth between her and Slade. "I have to admit," he began. "I'm impressed you know how to use a Status combo like that... Looks like I might have misjudged you a little." Something about his Eyes and voice changed as he spoke... something that couldn't be quite placed. he straightened up a little, taking his hands out of his jacket pockers and looking far more serious now. "I'm not going to play around then!" he said with utter confidence. "Erce, unleash the Zephyr Beat!" Erce, seeming to perfectly understand what Mareek was ordering, obeyed without question, her body becoming outlined with a bright blue glow as she quickly disappered and reappeared multiple times all around 101, never for more than a half a second or two at a time, then stopping right behind the Magnemite for am unexpected moment and spinning around in place with her scythes outstretched, generating a horizontal tornado that shot off towards the other pokemon, which had it's back turned to her incoming assault... =============
  21. Erce stepped in front of Mareek and took a fighting stance, glaring at the opposing side. "There's your answer," Mareek said. "I'll even give you first shot." as he spoke, however, his eyes scanned the other boy's pokemon, deducing their types and weaknesses and strengthes. it just a few seconds, he had come up with a basic Idea of how he would need to have Erce fight against them in order to come out on top... this could get a little tough though... looks like it really would be interesting.
  22. "Yeah," Mareek said, stowing his hands into his pockets "What the hell's a 'Signal Battle', I've never heard of those before." He knew that Slade had probably meant to say "Single battle", but he was honestly a bit bored right now, even with this battle about to start; He was that unenthusiastic about the affair. So he figured, why_not screw with people's heads a little? nothing explicitly mean or anything, just something to occupy him...
  23. eh, Absol, I'll hold off on the post for now until jory says whether he wants his former PC to become an NPC or just get killed off.
  24. "Alright," Mareek said. He was a little surprised that Slade might have the foresight to actually reserve a field... though he still didn't exactly look forward to battling the guy. "so what are we gonna roll with?" he asked as he stepped onto the field of battle, Erce and Java following close behind; The former beginning to get a little fidgety with excitement. She was dying to take on these enemies and prove herself."You had better hurry up and answer, Erce doesn't usually get this excited, but when she does..."
