it would be kinda ironic if that happened actually; given the fact that he didn't get Detention, or any punishment for that matter, after burning the Dorm and fleeing into the woods last night. seems a bit ridiculous when you think about it actually... "Oh, you burned your living quarters and then fled into the woods afterwards. Alright no detention for you." then they turn right around and say: "Oh... you got impatient and started a battle somewhere you weren't supposed to; Detention for you, young lad!" EDIT: Nevermind... seems Exlink has surprised me with Slade.

I have the feeling that Slade's probably gonna have one of his partners launch an attack and start their battle anyway. Watch, and when he probably does, just remember, I called it.

Pokémon Academy: Ch 1a: A fresh start [IC]

Mareek sighed as he glanced over to the rather loud battle challenge, wondering who the loud mouth he'd have to face would b-... Damn. "Fine..." he sighed. He honestly didn't think a fight with Slade would be all that much of a challenge...nor did he honestly want to face the guy after the fiasco last night...no telling what might happen. But he couldn't find anyone else right now who wasn't already paired up, thus, this appeared to be his only option. Erce pared her scythes against one another in anticipation as Mareek turned around to face Slade fully. "Guess I have no choice but to accept..." He said. "Though looks like we might have to wait for a while; I don't see any battle fields open at the moment." Erce glared fiercely at both Flare and 101, sizing the two up despite her obvious typing disadvantage against them... -
it's fine if you want the class to be changed to scout, just tell me. And I see I should've put a limit on how many people per ethnicity... at this rate, the majority of the team is going to be of partial japanese heritage... though, all the japanese descendants within esperenza who still care about ancient nationality will probably be rejoicing about that... *Cue Ethnic tensions and racial superiority complexes beginning to develop...* Yeah, no. not gonna happen in MY city. The Ethnic choice of Japanese is hereby closed; ergo, any signups posted after this post are not allowed to select it. go with something else (Would it really be so damn hard to get at least one black guy on the team?) and It's about time I get the major characters typed up. EDIT: Nevermind... I don't know know what the hell just happened, but my most recent count didn't reveal more than two or three Japanese characters... so never mind. Still, is it so damn hard to get a black guy? Oh screw it, I'll take on that role with one of my own characters... now...where did I put Ethic? or maybe something like Erick would do better in this role...

well, I was kinda thinking about having him challenge Lana, but we could duke it out if you want. I'll just do it later if Chimchain allows it. Go on, make your challenge...this'll be interesting.

Mareek browsed his way along the BUG table, walking until he found the "S" section and started looking for capsules containing shuckle. He didn't see any after a few minutes of searching, opting to then lean forward for a closer look. "You're kidding me, right?" he asked rhetorically. right there in the spot on the table where the pokeballs for Shuckles should've been...where empty slots. Some other students had beaten him to it. "Damnit... looks like I wasn't the only one who heard about Shuckle." Erce stood silently nearby as he went over the available species one last time, then walked away from the table looking a little bit dejected. She followed him closely as they passed by the NORMAL table, at which point about half way in their passing, A strange electronic noise echoed from the boy's jacket pocket. He retrieved his pokedex; the source of the noise. "What the hell's wrong with this?" The screen was lit up in a classic "Blue Screen of Death" manner, a series of white boxes containing error messages popped up in quick succession, to the point where they began to crowd the tiny screen. They were the same exact error every time: Unhandled Exception 23- 58573 Database_Pokemon.exe has crashed!Mareek moved his thumb to the side of the device and depressed the power button, hoping a shut off and quick reactivation would put an end to the issue. The device didn't responded, the blue screen littered with error messages remained. "One thing after another, I see," He sighed. using his nail, he freed the tiny portion of casing protecting the battery, removing the thing... and the blue screen remained even still. Then the screen went completely black a second later, a Strange polygon like creature emerging from it. It looked up at the teen with a curious look in it's eyes. It's sudden presence wasn't a surprising sight to him. "That explains it," he said. "A Porygon... well, it's not quite what I was thinking off as a substitute for a Shuckle, but I guess you'll do. I'm going to take this little hacking just now to mean you wanna come with us?" The creature nodded and hovered up and down sporadically, which he took to mean as yes. "Where's you pokeball then?" It hovered over to a white ball with red accents, which Mareek promptly reached over and picked up, the porygon floating closer as he did so. "So... what should we name you?" in response to the question, the screen of his pokedex again blazed to life despite their being no possible power source... or rather, Mareek thought that there wasn't until he noticed the small solar cells along the top. A series of letters mysteriously appeared on the white screen, seeming to stream themselves together into words and paragraphs, scrambling and unscrambling in complete chaos before finally all fading away except for one: Java. "Alright then," Mareek said as snapped the battery back into place. the next instant the pokedex pulled up the data on his new partner, though as to whether this was the actual programming of the device or simply Java's doing, he didn't know. "Java it is then..." He browsed the pokemon's move set and ability, seeing on the display that currently knew Conversion2, Sharpen, Tri-Attack, Tackle... and surprisingly, Discharge, along with the ability of Analytic. It was definitely workable with; developing a good strategy wouldn't be too demanding a task. He turned off the Dex and headed over to the battlefields with Erce and Java in tow, the former eyeing the latter curiously. It seemed that a lot of people were already in agreement to battle or currently duking it out on the field, not leaving many to choose from. He walked around, glancing around and analyzing the various engaged battlers and their tactics as he attempted to seek out his own sparring mate. -
Scyther is pokemon I chose for Mareek's starter only because it was one of the mons available as a prize at the Celadon city Game Corner and was therefore easily accessible to a certain someone... though perhaps I should've given him a porygon to start with instead...doesn't matter, it's too late now. anyways, It seems that whenever I come on here, you guys always managed to add like two or three whole IC pages in the 6 hour span of time that I'm at school... Damnit, I shouldn't have decided to play the part of a general loner... And speaking of Porygon... this is probably the only opportunity I'll have to get one on the team... Shuckle will have to wait.

Oh... so that's how. The only thing I ever learned from all the crap ton of books I've read is how to write a plot and how to give a character a soul... guess I should've been watching for formatting too... :/

Fellow HS squad member: "Do you think you can handle leadership for this month..." My inner thoughts: Bitch please, I lead people every single day; of course I can. My actual answer: "Eh, fine, what ever."
-
This. Is. SEACREST!!!! "Don't worry about it," Rodrick chimed, laughing. "Michael, the Alakazam who left a moment ago, predicted that someone from the crowd would probably try to act as the voice of reason and end up getting taken hostage for it. All the three of us had to do was gather the evidence we would need to rile up everyone to make sure that happened, then we set our plan in motion." "And you wouldn't believe how many months it took us to finally catch them red handed," Cage added. The sleeping Zororak brother began to stir in his slumber; an act of rebellion which Cage promptly quelled by launching another hypnosis at him. "I Practically had to come out here everyday and look over their shoulders as they cheated everyone little by little! What they've done here will probably end up in them both being put away for a very long time..." The brother again started to struggle. Cage placed his shadowy foot atop his chest, pinning him to the ground. "Speaking of which" he continued. There was a somewhat concerned look on his face as something crossed his mind. "Where... what do you think these two did with the real set of brothers?" Rodrick again cracked his knuckles, glaring down at the sleeping brother under Cage's foot. "That's a good Question Actually, Why don't we wake him up and ask him?" Before either of them could act to begin the interrogation however, Alakazam, or Michael, as they called him, reappeared behind them with Officer Magnezone in tow, with his underlings following closely in turn. "BZZZT! EXCELLENT WORK!" he called, giving the criminals on the ground a quick once over. The Magnemites under his command broke the single filed line as they followed behind him, surrounding the two. Magnezone turned to Michael. "YOU HAVE DONE A GREAT DEED THIS DAY, TRUST!" The Magnemites had gotten both Zororaks up off the cobblestones had their arms restrained around their backs with magnetism; ready to be hauled off for due process. The Officer hovered over to his apprentices, forming the head of their little escort entourage. He paused before heading out, a Magnemite hovered forward and placed a bag filled with items on the ground before Team Trust. "THAT IS THE REWARD," Magnezone explained. Two more Magnemites broke formation and placed two more bags infront of them; albeit these ones were jingling. "AND THIS IS THE BOUNTY; ALL 50,000 POKE!" "Keep it." Michael said. there came forth a torrent of hoarse whispers from the crowd. "What's he doing!?" "This...refusing a bounty as high as that; This is madness!" "Madness?" someone laughed. "Madness!? This. Is. Seacrest!!!!" Everyone stopped at that particular comment, turning to see the one who had made it. It was none other than Torrent himself. The young Piplup strode forward proudly as if he himself had took down the Criminals, stopping before Team Trust. "You all obviously don't know Their policy!" He said, turning to face the gathered masses. "Team Trust don't accept rewards; they're completely self sufficient, relying only upon whatever supplies they happen to find in dungeons!" A chorus of Ooohs and Ahhhhs echoed forth from the impressed townsfolk. "Erm...well yes, that is technically correct," Micheal said. He glanced over at Magnezone. "And before you go, officer, there is the matter of what to do with their property." Magnezone turned and looked at the various bags. "THEY ARE YOURS TO DO WITH WHATEVER YOU SO PLEASE." With that said, he and his team headed out, ushering the brothers off down the road. Michael scratched his chin, pondering what to do; The three of them had no need of any of these supplies; they were indeed suffice in all their needs already. and technically, this did count as part of the reward... so even if they did need something, they wouldn't be able to take it. And then there was the fact of the financial loses of the Townsfolk to take into effect... "You there, Swablu," he said suddenly, looking at Artemis. "Repeat that proposition you made to everyone just before you were taken hostage."

I was referring to when Kenny proposed attempting to trick Max into thinking of him as an ally. such attempted treachery was doomed to fail for rather...obvious reasons anyway, so it really doesn't matter that he heard it in the end. and yes, to my knowledge, the trip wire Kenny and Eagle put up is still there.- 1735 replies

Tell me... I must acquire more of such knowledge... EDIT: oh, and I don't really care if any of you guys start trying to talk to Mareek, so do so if you want; though he may or may be a bit more open to conversation than he was last night.

Plasma weaponry is, by the laws of Esperanza, only allowed to ever be equipped on Starships, all of which are under the control of the Ministry of Defense Back on earth, People figured out how to weaponize plasma like a lightsaber once... in the form of a war head. where the technology and knowledge to do this came from, I will not disclose to any of you. just know that it was weaponized a few decades before the Exodus, so around the 2340's or so. It DID NOT END WELL AT ALL. The UN had a fucking field day afterwards... needless to say, International law imposed severe consequences on anyone caught with any PWs, and everyone had to give up all the stockpiles they had manufactured. So yes, they have Plasma weaponry, but unless your onboard a Starcraft in the void of space with an enemy fighter approaching you guns ablazing, you will never see it in action. accepted. EDIT: I will try to get this thread finished by Monday of next week. If I work right through the weekend on everything, that should be enough to get us started... hopefully.

Pokémon Academy: Ch 1a: A fresh start [IC]

Mareek looked at Evan for a few moments. He couldn't quite un-hear what the other boy had just said to Retreating one... 'we'll finish this later'? yeah, typically when someone said that in this type of situation, it never meant anything good. But seems he didn't have to speak up; the boy who had crashed into him yesterday did. He simply stepped back, leaning against the wall in silence, as he had been doing before. ((I got ninja'd sooo damn hard while typing this... so this is what I had to end up settling for.)) -
I get the feeling that Alvin is meant to be that one NPC who everyone's character will come to despise over the length of the plot... EDIT: Notus, Dobby, you guys never told me you were trained in the art of the ninja :Kappa:

Pokémon Academy: Ch 1a: A fresh start [IC]

Having aced the Type,Battling, and strategy portions, along with most of the item section, (And rather struggling a little on the Habitat and trivial knowledge section) of the test early on, Mareek now leaned against the wall nearby, keeping a close eye on the group as the altercation played out. without a single word, he pushed himself up off the egg white paneling and walked over slowly behind everyone's back. He had only heard snippets a pieces of the groups conversation from where he had been and honestly didn't really know what had set the guy off, but either way, he needed to calm down. "Put him down, man," he said simply. Tact would probably be something required for this, and luckily he had a lot of it. "Look, whatever he might've said to piss you off, Strangling the guy over it really isn't worth it." -
Good god, I go away for a few hours at school... anyways, here's the team I'm thinking of for Mareek. -Mega Scizor -Torkoal -Snorlax -Torterra -Porygon Z* -Shuckle And what I'm thinking of for possible Reserves -Blaziken -Empoleon (Or maybe blastoise) -Drapion -Ferrothorn As you can see, It's focused on Pokemon with some type of natural armoring or superior speed (Though currently it leans more heavily to the armoring side). *Porygon Z really doesn't fall into either of those categories, but I just threw him on there because... well, figure it out yourselves, it's kinda obvious.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: The Return(OOC)
Sutoratosu replied to grasssnake485's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
enter Team Trust, made up of Alakazam, the Brilliant Leader; Rodrick the machamp, the Muscle; and Cage the Gengar, The Stealth Master. (Yes, that's right, not all Gengars be bad up in here.) They are a dual Resuce/ Exploration team without affiliation to any castles( technically making them Rogues I guess) and they hold a gold rank. (Basically, think of the team lead by Alakazam back in PMD R/B Rescue team, and that's basically what they are the equivalent to.) They are called Trust because all of their species line required Trade in order to evolve. they probably won't have any significance to the plot unless Grass takes an interest to them or something (Yes, I made them up)
