  1. Alma stepped out of the way as her brother entered the humble little abode, shutting the door behind him. The home was lit with several candles in the window sills and on the tables. in the Fireplace a blaze was already lit, filling the whole house with warmth. It was quaint, the family room. A Rectangular table wrought of heavy Oak wood sat in one half, several matching Chairs around it. Beside that was a small wood stove and miniature chimney, along with a water basin and tiny cupboard filled with a few plates and pieces of cutlery. Over by the fire place sat two more, simpler, chairs. a small woolen carpet was layed atop the stones of the floor. A broken broom sat leaning against the fire side of the mantel... along with a Long Barreled fusil. To the right of the Fire place the room tapered off to a small hallway where the Beds and individual rooms were located, one shared by Alma and Zoliver's other younger sister, Aria, whom was but some 7 years old, and then one for Zoliver himself, and another for their mother. To the left of the Table and small kitchen sat a passage way leading underground to his Mother's forge and shop gallery. his youngest sister poked her head out from the corridor as she heard the door shut. She was an adorable little child, Aria. though her hair was auburn instead of the pitch black that her older sibling's were, she still had the family facial features, along with rosy cheeks and eyes burning with the curiosity of childhood. Ecstatic, she ran over and giving her big brother a hug around the waist before he could react. "Zoli!" she said excitedly, using the nickname she had come up with for him. "Happy Nameday!" *** "The Back of your friend's head is split open" Absalom said as he stood looking over Darius and Gideon's shoulders. he continued his search through the tomb's contents. "I just thought I should point that out to you two..." if they looked, they would see he was indeed right. the ground beneath the young knights head was stained with shining red, as was his hair, matted with it, infact. As to how the hell the Naga's could've overlooked this injury when they had pulled him out...it was unknown
  2. it's fine, you don't have to change anything... I'm just saying... It's like literally playing with a pack of matches over a vat of gasoline. anyways, it's chimchain who will decide whether or not things get hot up in there. Eh, if an inferno starts, we'll just have to deal with it... actually... it would give the perfect chance to get creative...
  3. Well, I go and say: And what does slade do? he orders his Growlithe to use Ember... Ember... not something less hazardous and less likely to start a house fire, like Fire Fang, but Ember... I hope Prof.Redwood has insurance for those dorms...
  4. "Alright then..." Alma said, turning to go back inside... then she stopped and looked at her brother again. "Zoliver, What's wrong?" she asked. "Why are you crying?" The young man hadn't noticed that the tears welling in his eyes had begun to fal down his face in tiny streaks. He was crying without even being consciously aware of it.
  5. "Oh! Oh nothing..." one of the siblings insisted, still chuckling. "Oh yes!" the other added. "Nothing at all!" "Cut the BS," Draidon ordered, no longer ignoring what he heard. "Something's obviously so damn funny that you two are cracking up about it. So spill it!" "Fine!" one of them exclaimed, still hysterical. "You blokes don't even have to pay today!" Driadon simply raised his eyebrow at that... surely it must be some type of trap, who the hell operates a business by giving out free merchandise? He turned to Ace and Sparks. "Maybe I hit my head a little hard earlier..." he began. "But I could've sworn I just heard him say we don't have to pay..."
  6. A man does not kill another to avenge his family... he does it to protect them so that vengeance is never necessary.

  7. The toad began to glow with a bright light as the Alchemist stepped forward, completely bathed in the power it had just ingested and refined. It peered at him with human like intelligence, it's strange amphibian eyes having been replaced with blazing white orbs. It crept over to the man, just as Matrim came over carrying Ko'luki's guitar. The Toad outstreched one of it's webbed hands, and right in the bard's hands, the instrument began to change shape. it's neck stretched out along with it's strings. Bands of steel formed along it's length, reinforcing the board. The thing was engulfed by static and electricity as the wood turned to a pitch black and grew heavier in the man's hands. On the back of it was now a strange glyph... one that Matrim with his years of study could easily identify. It meant only thing- Lightning is my soul. The godly little amphibian lowered its hand, returning it's attention to Ko'Luki. "So it is you who will bring the keys to him..." It said in a deep, masculine voice that shook the very stones with it's authority. "Very well then... Alchemist. Come, gaze upon the essence of creation itself!" The amphibian reared back it's head, opening it's mouth as a glow of violet energy engulfed it's figure, blinding the two men. The ground began to quake and trees themselves began to whisper in strange, hushed voices. The sky changed back from crimson to pitch black for a few seconds, and then, before the groups very eyes, the heavens took on their familiar blue and the sun blazed high above them, ringed by cloud and mist. It was bright as day...no... it was day. The temperature had warmed considerably, the heat of the sun revitalizing the planet. "Are you gazing!?" it asked. "if not, here!!!" As it spoke, an object shining in broken light and darkness appeared before it, floating down from the sky like a feather. It landed squarely in Ko'Luki's hands... and it was beyond words. in his palm sat a double pronged key intricately carved from night and day itself, carved from polar opposites... from fire and ice, heaven and hell. It looked like the work of a master's master; the work of even a grand master lock smith. The ruby and sapphire and opal coloration all flowed so naturally into each other it was as if they had been fused with the highest of magics, which they had indeed. The thing pulsated with Godly energy in the man's hands... and it was beginning to burn his fingers and palm. Badly. "Do not stand there gawking! I had to tear the boy's very Life Force out of him in order to do this!" the frog chided urgently. It was voice was entirely different now, no longer did it hold the power it had before. it's eyes were normal once more. overhead the sun vanished and the sky collapsed back into it's bloody hue. the shadows of night moved back in to their places. The temperature dropped like a rock. It was as if... this, for lack of a better word, miracle the Toad had just preformed minutes ago had never happened, as if he hadn't called day to the darkest hours of night, as if he had never shined a beacon of hope. But the travelers had all seen it with their own eyes; they all knew for a fact that it had been real, not just some illusion. "Go! hurry!" The amphibian again ordered Ko' Luki, angrily this time "Get the damn key to him, NOW! He dies as soon as that glow fades! You lose him, and it becomes nothing more than a paper weight!" not far away, it was easy what the thing was going on about. Aaron was sitting with his back against the wall of Ko'luki's house, his face looking strained. Eric and Cesealia knelt beside him, trying to see what was going on, help if they could... But he was completely unresponsive. His eyes had lost all coloration... anyone with even a two dollar education in Magic and arcane lore ((*Cough!* Matrim! *Cough!*))would know it was a sure sign of impending demise... unfortunately it seemed that Niether Eric nor Cesealia realized this...
  8. Erce had swapped places soon after Wing Attack had landed with the lackie protecting the leader, switching out a Double Team generated doppleganger for herself and gliding closer towards the Ariados as they launched their own attacks. Luckily for her, the switch had been enough to keep up the deception, the Leech Life attacks hit three of the fakes instead of her. She didn't waste a second, and she didn't need Mareek's instruction to know what to do. She generated more Double Team copies as she flew, all of them spiraling to keep the Ariados from homing in on her. She soared close to the ceiling then, over top of the Ariados's heads before shooting her body straight down at all of them, along with the extra Fakes she had just made. their Wings again all glowed a bright white as they prepared to repeat their earlier attack, aiming for the three arachnids.
  9. Found a nice Battle theme https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaqmHLCLeDA And yeah... Exlink, please, try not to burn down the place. I think there would be hell to pay for both Mareek and Slade...
  10. Mareek let the door swing all the way open as he spotted the Bug types. Looks like he didn't need that knife after all... "Erce," He said. In his hand was a premier ball, which he tossed into the air. "We've got an infestation to clear!" The capsule hinged open and released it's occupant, the Scyther Mareek had had as a pet for a long time. The creature turned and glanced back at him before focusing on the foe, paring her sycthes against each other as she sized up the opposition, deducing which one she would take out first. And She chose the leader. She crouched down low, holding out her Scythes to the side and preparing her wings to strike. Mareek saw that she was ready, and gave one order. "Double team." A moment later, the Mantis's body blurred and began to glow as it crossed it's arms, several identical copies rushed out from her, seeming to have been created out of thin air. They all fanned out in a semi circle in the room, making identifying the real Erce all but impossible. Mareek gave another order as soon as they had moved into formation. "Wing Attack!" All of the copies extended their wings at the order, beginning to buzz them as each pair took on a white glow. They all lifted off from the floor and charged towards the leader of the swarm simultaneously, zipping and diving as they flew, making identifying the original much harder than it had already been.
  11. and it's a swarm... I was kinda expecting people. and out comes the Scyther now... not like he has much choice at the moment. Let's show em whose Dorm their intruding upon, Exlink! *Runs off to initiate what probably will quickly become a Leroy Jenkins moment*
  12. "what the hell are you spouting about now?" Draidon asked, having watched Roy's over dramatics. He called after the Timburr as the fool marched away from the Stand, proclaiming himself to be on some sort of donuts quest or something. "Why don't you just wait, Fool? The person who these belong to will probably be back soon! You could just ask them for some..." He grumbled as the imbecille moved out of earshot. Yeah... this kinda confirmed it; the kid was indeed stupid, it was no act. well, no point in joining him in stupidity. Draidon turned his attention the merchant brothers. "Ah, Draidon!" one of them called. "Good to see you. What will it be today?" "Just some basics..." He said. "Oran berries, Reviver Seeds, a few orbs... maybe even some scarves if you have any at a reasonable price..." "Very well then..." the other interjected. "and you do have money today, don't you?" Draidon was a bit taken a back by that... he had come into town yesterday and stopped by the stand. Thought he would stock up before heading to signup at Tempest... except when he was done and they were ringing up the toll, he had just then recalled the fact that he was flat broke. But not today... that little raid on that cave earlier had yeilded some poke to use and... "You gotta be kidding me..." he growled as he searched himself. The cash he had gotten from the cave that morning was all gone. He didn't have any idea what the hell could've happened to the pouch... oh. Wait...that's right. Raichu. It must've fallen off during their little skirmish... it was probably still out in the forest. "Hey..." he began, turning to Sparks and Ace. "either of you got cash to pay?" behind him, both Kecleon brothers were snickering and whispering to each other, as if they had some inside joke... though Draidon seem to ignore it.
  13. The Tempest Team "Ah," one of the brothers chimed as Roy appeared, cheerful to see a customer. "I see you've taken a notice of the smell of these fresh Donuts." on the Counter before the lizard Pokemon lay a wooden platter piled high with the fresh, steaming pastries. The Smell was exquisite... and so would the price be. Or would it? "Though..." The other brother's face saddened a little as he spoke. "I'm afraid that these aren't ours to sell. We're just watching them for a few moments as a favor... so, sorry if you looking to purchase one, my friend." The Seacrest Team ((I'll let you guys talk about your course of action a little more...))
  14. Zoliver was still unresponsive as Darius and Gideon tried to goad him into waking. His chest still rose and fell steadily; he was still alive... but he seemed to be out completely cold for the time being. Or at least... that is how things appeared from the outside. Absalom could be seen walking towards them from the lower levels of the city, thumbing through a mysterious book as he made his way. His father's bag was slung across his shoulders, filled with various supplies. The Naga Warriors followed behind, taking shifts carrying the Sky Slayer on their backs. Neither did either of the two other warriors, or Absalom, or any of the Naga know, that their comrade was in the beginning stages of a fearsome dream... *** The Sun was just beginning to set over the Horizon in Zoliver's vision. The Dusk was cold, a light snow was beginning to fall as the Sky began to darken. All around the small coastal town of his Birth, Koise, Lights were beginning to flicker on as people retired to their homes for the evening. The Streets were slowly but surely beginning to empty. "Zoliver," a Young woman's voice called from a nearby doorway. It was his Younger sister. "Are you going to stay out here all night? it's not really any way to celebrate one's nameday..." His sister was a rather slender thing, barely 17 years, and standing at 5"5 with Raven hair flowing down her shoulders in a short braid. To candle light from their family home illuminated the space beyond the doorway, giving her a near Ethereal glow as the heavens blackened. The wind slowly began to pick up, the flurries beginning to fall a little heavier. "Come inside," She insisted. her breath was visible in the dropping air temperature."You'll catch your death in this weather."
  15. oh hell... I was gonna wait till my first anniversary of being here, but eh, why not? not like I'm leaving anytime in the foreseeable future. Sorry about the crappy quality... seems my phone's camera is a tad wonky. OK, very wonky...

  18. "Riiiib...." The Toad paused in the middle of the road, staring at Trystane as the young man followed him. Then it opened it's mouth wide. A burst of light could be seen for a few seconds in the back of it's throat, then a harrowing gust of wind issued forth, forcing the young man back as it buffeted him like a twister. When it was finally over, a spear sat embedded in the earth in front of him. But nothing like the one he had previously wielded. Oh no, this one was topped with golden, crystaline head with an elegantly curved edge lined in Muinnat. Like with all the others before, the blade of it blazed brightly with ancient glyphs and words of power long since last spoken. The Handle was wrought in emerald and silver in an entwining manner much like the handle of Matrim's weapon was. The entire armament glowed with a soft yellow light that pulsated every few seconds. "How...? What...?" Aaron honestly didn't know what the hell had just happened... first this thing eats something that would be physically impossible for it... and then it spits it back up in a better form? It was an interesting theory to say the least, but there was still the obstacle of how exactly it was possible... though, it could easily be explain by some form of complex magic, a form that he had never seen before, but magic nonetheless. "Riiib! Riiiiib" The thing croaked insistently. It gazed up at Aaron ominously... and then quick as lightning, lashed out it's tongue and wrapped it around both his hands. He struggled against it's hold, glaring at the creature as it grinned at him. He felt a sharp pain in both his hands, spreading up his arms and making landfall in his chest, forcing him to his knees it was so terrible. The toad let go a few moments later, reeling it's tongue back into it's maw. It hopped away, heading back down the road. Aaron's hands had no trace of saliva on them...strange. He held them up to his face, looking at what the thing might have done... Both Glyphs were gone from his palms. tiny holes of black filled their place. He looked up at the amphibian as hopped down the road... the little motherfucker had made it off with both the Keys. "You..." he whispered. Of course this had been some type of trick... just like a few minutes ago. They had walked out of one trap, and directly into another. Aaron couldn't help but be a little miffed, all things considered. at this rate, the planet was royally fucked with the job they were all doing. "I'm going to end you..." He tried to press his hands together, wincing in pain as he did so. The feeling got worse the closer and closer either got to the other. He kept pressing, however, and finally forced both palms to touch. Then he focused... or at least tried to. A small storm of electric sparks began to crackle from under his fingers as he drew his left palm away from his right, a string of lightning arcing back and forth between the black holes where the Keys once resided. He stood shakily, feeling some type of force fighting him every step of the way, both mentally and physically. "What's going on?" Eric asked from nearby."What's with you?" Aaron said nothing. he simply concentrated harder, willing the lightning to burst outward and strike the amphibian bastard making it's get away. He was repaid by a painful backlash as the force escaped his control and burned both his hands, sending a stream of silent profanity out of the boy's mouth as he recoiled in pain. His palms were charred and scarred...and he couldn't feel either of them anymore. "Riiiiiiiiib!!!!!" The toad shouted eagerly. it was waiting just a little ways down the road. it eyed Aaron... and then Trystane, sensing that the wielder was not going to come retrieve his weapons. Aaron, just as it thought, did not move a single muscle, only stood there with smoldering anger in his eyes. He said nothing. it proceeded to look around at the others, curious as to who would come to pick up the latest products of it's handiwork
  19. I knew I should've finshed work on the city first... now I gotta make up all the details as I go along... which is actually going well so far.

  20. Can we at the very least get an idea as to what exact genre this is gonna be?
  21. My condolences to you, Grass. Take as much time with this loss as you need; sometimes time is the only thing that helps. I will be here to man the ship for you if and when needed.

  23. "Right here!" Ethic shouted. He sent out a burst of his life force from the soles of his sneakers, propelling himself a good two meters in the air. he lashed out with his arm, sending his life force out in a whip like blade extending from his palm. The thing was completely silent as it snaked it's way through the air, blazing blindingly hot as the man increased the intensity behind it. It didn't even take more than a few seconds before it had reached the same height as the titan, having been given extra reach by the jump seconds earlier. It slashed through the air, heading right for the back of the Titan's neck and Spinal column and cutting a deep swath in the flesh, just as it had done for the other titan. He withdrew the energy back into his palm and recalled it to his reservoir as he landed back on the ground, fully expecting the Idiot to full over dead like his brethren had earlier on.
  24. Ironic, yes. While he could do that, That would be in direct violation of his own personal morals against using Pokemon to inflict bodily harm on people (Ex. like in A street fight or something and some guy throws out his infernape and burns the other guy to death or has it use mach punch to shatter his ribs). Which is the only reason I had him not even consider it. that and the fact that the Scyther is rather feisty and would likely leave a much bigger mess of the place and the intruder than Mareek himself would.
  25. There aren't. There were some when the colonist first set foot on the planet, but anyone with actual direct hailing from Earth has long since all died. You have to remember, biologically speaking, it's been 150 years or so between the time that the Founding Generation embarked, and the beginning of the story. (It's 2500 years chronologically) The Nationalities listed under the Ethnicities tab really doesn't mean a whole lot in the current era of esperanza, but they did back when things were first getting started. they eventually got over their issues and stopped caring whose ancestors came from which country that was on a planet trillions of miles away and was destroyed before they were even born. Very few individuals still actually care about National Heritage beyond it's historic value in the history of man. so yeah, Back Story is gonna need work.
