Atton simply grumbled upon hearing Sparks explanation. It was plain on his face that he didn't believe it, despite whatever he said. "Fine..." he mumbled. "But I'm going to be watching you like a braviary..." with that said he stomped off down the hall way leading to the next room, knocking out another Zatu with a strike with the back of his claws as he passed. In the next room he spotted the stair case... and lucky them, because it looked like it was all clear. "Get in here!" he roared back down the corridor. "I found the stairs!"

Gothielle's line is fine. and just to note, pretty much all psychic types can use telepathy to communicate, with these exceptions: Unown the Wynaut line the spoink line The chimecho line the Munna line The woobat line Sigilyph The entire Slowpoke line (except for Slowking, that one's justified for it) The Exeggutor line The Staryu line Lunatone and Solrock The Baltoy line The bronzor line God... I should really get around to editing a list of the RP's Mechanics into the OP...- 1189 replies

Draidon quickly snapped his fiery maw around in a 180 at Ace's call for help, bringing his fangs down hard on the Zatu and ending it's mirage attack as he tossed it against the wall of the chamber like a rag doll. It was out like a light. He turned back to face Sparks again, glaring at the Jolteon. "A now for you..." he snarled...

"Oh... a game of catch..." the beast said. "how kind of you!" he lashed out with his arm and swatted the HED clear out of the window, where it exploded outside and shook the house to it's very foundations. The smoke began to funnel out of the broken view point, no longer enclosed in the room... and when it cleared... The Demon was gone. "Get back here!" Aaron shouted as he turned around in circles, trying to find the bastard. His hands crackled with lightning. "Well..." a familiar voice called. "If you insist... but I'm going to take a parting gift this time! HAAAA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAAAAAA HAAA HA!" As the Cackling ended, the Demon appeared once more, standing hunched in the door way to the living room. He extended his arms and made a strange gesture... a moment later, Muya, Atton, Samiel, Gilwyn, and Esmerelda, all were engulfed in a black flame, and then disappeared, not even leaving cinders behind in their wake. "There we are..." the Demon chimed. He turned his sights on Aaron. "If you tasty little morsels want to save your allies," he began, taking a deep bow, his tail slapping the floor repeatedly. "Then go to Castle Nix, there the Glorious Lord Rossephus awaits your unconditional surrender! Fail to show up, And I will gut and butcher them at dawn... it shall be a Fast-breaking feast worthy of my master!" With that said, he again vanished, this time in a black flame similar to the one he used to (Presumably) abduct the others... and the group was left standing there alone. the fire was gone, as well as the spit... there was no trace that either had been there at all... Except for the cooking pot containing Rodriguez's remains. Aaron walked over to it, knowing that none of this had been an illusion. He was visibly shaking. his face was unreadable, but he was grinding his teeth... and the sigils on his palms were blazing with life. He was blistering with wrath on the inside. This thing... whatever the hell it had been... A man was killed and stewed by it... it was inhuman, completely inhuman... to do that to someone, even think about it... No. something clicked in Aaron's mind then. something that hadn't clicked before. This is apparently the type of shit that Rossephus endorses. A world where right and wrong don't even mean two flying shits, a world where man kind is terrorized by beast born of darkness... Aaron had had enough after seeing this. All the teachings his (adoptive) parents had ever drilled into him all came flooding back now, about how strength is meant to protect others, about heroism and selflessness and all the other ideals of the Grass Sea and the Tundra. He had decided right then and there. He would no longer bitch about anything, not about responsibility, not about fate, nothing. because you know what? what he fucking wanted didn't matter. what these other people still standing in this room didn't matter either. He had forgotten that just a while ago, when he had been a brat... but now it was clear as day in his mind again. Rossephus had to be killed, for the good of the world and humanity. Aaron had been given proof of that now. and he intended to take fucking action. He reached out his hand in a wide arc, a wave of teal energy issued forth and engulfed the pot sitting before him. in it's place was now a funerary Urn, ornately carved with gold and silver. He reached down and picked it up, Addressing everyone as he did so. "before we do anything else," he began "We're going to give this man, whoever he might have been, a proper funeral. It's not up for a vote." with that he began walking out of the room, the elaborate urn under his arm. "Aaron.. don't you think we honestly have more important things..." Eric began as he passed by him. "Just because we're hunting a monster..." he replied, stopping for a moment. "Doesn't mean that we must become monsters in the process." "Look, what happened to this man is horrible, yes," Eric said. "And he should be given a proper funeral, yes, but Aaron... the world itself is at stake... can we not simply wait until a more opportune time to put him to rest?" Aaron stared the other young man hard in the eye. "If it were you in this urn, I would've had you in the ground and your last rites preformed within a day." He said. "That is the one of the benefits of having family and friends... to have someone who will care enough about you to not allow you to become carrion for the vultures when you're gone. And since there seems to be no one else... We're going to give this man that benefit now." He then left the room.

"You calling me a Lunatic!?" Draidon roared. "You're the one who just tried to fry that Ace with that Thunderbolt!" he sharpened his claws against his skin, then his mouth erupted in flames as he continued, lashing out repeatedly with his fangs and trying the bite Sparks with his fiery maw. "If there's two thing's I hate in this world..." he said as he continued his advance. "It's lying traitors and Lightning-wielders! And you're both of those!" ((Sorry... but I can't exactly just make it so that he'll Sparks... that would be far too easy and boring.))

A bubbling came from the pot as several broke the surface of the... eerily red liquid inside. then it grew greater and greater... and then something made it's way to the surface of the strange stew... It was a skull. A human skull. It was plain as day to everyone in the room... a bleached white skull sitting in the middle of the stew... and if one look closer, they'd also see chunks of flesh in the substance as well. The thing saw this and frowned. "ah..." he sighed.. his voice and teeth had regained their... inhumaness. "It seems I let Rodrigeuz stew for too long now." Across the room, Esmerelda's eye's widened. "What did you say?" she asked. "Just now..." "You heard me, Es..." he answered. "I said: It seems I let Rodriguez stew for too long." he put a lot of emphasis on the name Rodriguez. "You lie!" she said... not sounding very convinced of her own statement. "Here... his sword, bitch!" The thing shouted as he held out his hand and a familiar blade appeared there. he dropped it to the floor and kicked over to her. she knelt and picked it up gingerly, studying the handle and the steel... it was caked in blood. "You...you fucking monster..." she whispered. She stood back up, Letting go of Cesealia and drawing the weapon from it's scabbard in a single motion as the other young woman lost her balance and nearly fell, though Gilwyn caught her before she could hit the floor. "Then he is dead... He didn't escape the city...,you murdered him..." "Oh...now now, what makes you think I did that," the thing that looked like a teenage boy asked, nodding his head and making a tsk-tsk sound. "Hmmm..." Atton interjected, feigning to be deep in fought. "Why, that is a good question, Demon... perhaps she does because you, for one, have the man's head boiling in a stew... Two, you have his sword and pretty much admitted to it... oh, and three, how exactly did you manage to butcher him unless you had killed him first? Most men aren't content to sit by as some horror from the night tries to slice them up..." "OH, COME NOW..." The beast attempted. It's voice was completely otherworldly now."SURELY YOU CAN'T THINK-" "I think we can all agree that we need to kill this thing..." Aaron said, again cutting the demon off. the beast turned and gnashed his teeth at the boy, almost in an amused matter. "AH... I SEE, I SEE..." It said. "LOOKS LIKE MY RUSE COULD USE SOME WORK..." as he spoke, his form began to change gradually... a pair of horns sprouted from his head vertically, his frame grew and became muscular, his jaw grew more powerful and two long fangs were visible sprouting upward past his lips. his skin grey grew like stone and his hair vanished. a long, powerful tail sprouted from his back and slapped the floor with such force that it broke the wooden boards. his eyes were black as coals.. and then the most fearsome feature of all came into veiw. He had Black wings like that of a raven sprouting out of his back. sleek and black as night, thick and powerful, probably enough out fly any wyrm... and his wingspan completely dominated the room, at least twenty feet from tip to tip. It was confirmed without a doubt now... this thing ain't human. The demon grabbed hold of the pot, pulling it from the coals, not seeming to give a damn about the heat. "Come..." he said... "Come and I shall give you a sweet taste of the stew of darkness... just as the Lord Rossephus gave me... I assure you..." a monstrous grin broke out on his face. "The taste... is Exquisite."

The Diran Man's attention was drawn immediately by Sinbad's words. Beyond the shadow of a doubt, these men were indeed the one's he had been looking for, no question. They not only knew of it, but they also fit the description; Two Knights, a Magistrate, a Turk, and a Sniper. "Oh yes, Sniper..." he answered. "I have indeed seen the one you seek... this way, come, I shall bring you to him." the man then glanced behind him. "Absalom!" he called."come!" "Yes Father!" a young voice said as a boy no older than fifteen or fourteen appeared beside him on the outcropping, holding a bow much like his... albeit that his was notched with an Arrow and aimed at Zoliver's heart. "No, Absalom!" He yelled, snatching the arrow out of the boy's fingers... "Do not kill these ones!" "But..." the boy replied. "I thought you called because I was wrong and they weren't them..." "No, boy..." he said. "You were indeed right, these are they... now let us bring them." The boy shouldered his boy and did as his father said, walking over to one end of the outcropping and sliding down after him as the two made their way to the Quartet. The man walked off towards the north. the lad, Absalom, looked back at Boho and his entourage. "Folloooow." he said slowly, drawing the word out as if they were dumb and wouldn't understand him if he said it any faster. with that, he headed off behind his father.

Draidon climbed the stair case and entered onto the first floor... just in time to see the Jolteon from earlier unleash a thunderbolt at someone... well no, not someone, but rather at the Tailow from earlier... at least, from where Draidon was by the stair well, that's what it certainly seemed like. He couldn't believe it... this guy had told him that not Electric types were bad, and yet here he was, firing off lightning at someone he was supposed to be working with, and even worse, who had a serious vulnerability to it... well, actually... no, he could believe it... He could beleive it very, very much... and had been believing just this for a long time, and he'd only been proven right by his sight of the other pokemon's action. "Lie to ME, will ya!?" he roared at the electric type as the arc of electricity shot towards it's target (though Draidon didn't know the fact that it wasn't intended for the tailow...) and brandished his claws. they erupted in a bright blue glow and he charged off towards the Jolteon, slashing wildly, leaving wide claw marks in the walls and floor... "you said that not all of you were bad, but you LIED! ATTACKING AN ALLY LIKE THAT...TAKE THIS, TRAITOR!!!"

"I have only one task here..." the boy said. "It is to retrieve the Alpha and Omega from the little bitch I gave it to earlier this night..." "You mean, this little bitch?" Aaron scoffed as he entered the room along with everyone else. Atton took one look at the strange boy and drew his sword, bringing it to the ready, eying the child with prudence, prepared to react however might be necessary should he lash out at someone. "Back up from him," he ordered. "that little bastard isn't human..." "Not human?" the boy mocked. His voice began to noticeably change as he went on"NOT HUMAN???? BUT ATTON... I'M JUST AS HUMAN AS YOU OR MAXIMUS HERE OR KO'LUKI OR ERIC OR OCTAVIA OR-" "How do you know any of their names?" Aaron demanded. He knew even before Atton had said it that whatever the hell this thing was, it wasn't human... no human had teeth like that of a wolf or eyes black like coals... though he guessed that he was the only one who saw the latter of those traits in the other boy's face... since no one else was bringing it up. "WHY, AARON..." The boy responded, his voice growing in intensity. "I AM GOD HIMSELF... DON'T YOU RECALL? DON'T TELL ME YOU FORGOT ALREA-" "Drop the act," the boy said, cutting the thing off. "There's no way in hell that you're who you say you are... you're breath reeks of blood, you teeth could single-handedly tear apart a full grown buck... and your eyes look like death itself." The thing didn't respond to that, simply looked around at the band of heroes, starring Octavia, Maximus, Ko'Luki, Trystane, and Matrim each in the eye... there was no evidence of what Aaron had said about him now. he looked like a completely normal human. His voice had changed back to sounding somewhat normal as well. "Don't tell me your going to listen to this worthless fuck of a hero," he said. "Why should you trust him? he bitched and moaned and whined about his fate, he's no savior, he's just a nobody who wished to fly close to the sun, but rebelled against the chance when he finally was given it... wouldn't you rather have someone who won't probably run away at the first sign of trouble, leaving you all to your fates? wouldn't you rather have someone who knows what the hell their doing?" Aaron didn't say anything in his defense... partially because it was true... but mostly because he was focused on the contents of the pot sitting atop the coals of the fire...

The bandits gradually began to smarten up and back off after having watched half their numbers be struck down in only ten minutes. The remaining highway men all glared at the quartet, still holding their weapons at the ready, but not daring to rush in for another strike. "Shit, dawg..." one of them said to his fellow brigandeers. "these fuckers are tougher than they look..." said another. "Enough!" one ordered. A man in a grey shroud stepped forward and scolded the bandits. a large, heavy set axe rested in his hand. "Stop gossiping like little girls and KILL THEM!" he shouted and began dashing forward towards Sinbad, intending to take out who seemed to be the weakest fighter. The bandits gave out a hearty, yet still mismatched, battle cry as they charged behind him... but both their cheer of courage and their blind advance was cut short a moment later as they all fell to the sand one by one... Cut short by several short shafted arrows that had found their marks right in the smalls of their backs. Only the man in the shroud was left... he abandoned his plan to take out the sniper and instead directed his attention to try to locate the shooters... only to have an arrow hit him squarely in the heart, killing him before he even hit the ground. ***** Up on a rocky outcropping overlooking the camp sight, a Diran man and his young son sat perched in the cover of the rock lip, kneeling with their bows at their side. "You did well, my son," The boy's father said. "Not a single target missed... and you avoided all of the bystanders." "Thank you, Father..." the boy nodded. "But our task is not complete now... they simply have to be the ones he sent us for...we had best bring them back to see him..." "You are correct, My son" With that said, the man stood and hailed Boho's quartet down below, waving his hand in greeting. ***** "Ho there!" a voice called out, catching everyone's attention. Boho looked around. "Where are ya?" he called. "Here," the voice called back. "on the outcropping right above you." and it was apparently true, because standing there now was a man holding a small wooden bow, dressed in clothing tailored to life in the desert, loose and baggy, easily able to create a breeze with just the slightest movement. he wore blue head wrappings which obscured his mouth and nose, but left his eyes visible... a habit that only those used to walking in sandstorms ever developed. The cloth over his mouth didn't seem to muffle his voice in the least however. "Looks like we found you just in the nick of time" he continued. "Might I ask your names and business here this night?" no one could see it from this distance, but he was squinting at them all, scrutinizing them. He knew that his son was probably right, and that these people were probably the one's they were seeking... but he wanted to make sure first.

"We might as well..." Draidon grumbled. He walked off beyond the entry way, stopping and waiting for the bird and the... other guy, when he reached the end of the tiny cave, spotting the Stair Case leading up into the first floor of the dungeon. "Hurry up!" he called back at them. "Those bug types aren't gonna wreck themselves!" ((I'm just going to assume from this point on that all dungeons have some sort of initial stair case that leads into the beginning of the first floor.))

The feeling grew stronger as the young man smirked unsettlingly, turning his attention the pot and stirring whatever was in it as he answered. "You don't need to know who am, alchemist..." he said "nor does your any question have any significance... now tell everyone to get in here.. I've something to discuss..." If Ko'luki was thinking of disobeying the request, than any thought of rebellion was quickly quashed as the feeling of fear and dread then grew even more stronger... though not nearly as bad as at the shop earlier... but still, it was enough to make Ko'Luki consider doing what he said... and quickly.

Notice! "Well... ain't this a hell of a situation," Boho said as he kept his eyes on the enemies surrounding the for of them. The four men stood in the middle of a Highway men's camp site, and the entire brigade was now holding their weapons at the ready. One might ask, how did the Marvelous Boho and his band of warriors end up in this mess? well, it's rather simple. The group had walked on the Lord's road or a good hour and a half, then Boho had goten completely fed up with how long it was taking. He had ordered everyone to grab on, and with them in tow, he had light walked his entourage out into the desert aiming for a tiny light on the horizon, thinking it to be stratos. he had saved them a good day or two of travel... except for one issue... What Boho had aimed at was indeed a camp fire... but it wasn't Stratos who was sitting around it... they'd found bandits. And now here they stood, having startled some one dozen rogues and criminals with their sudden appearance... all of them looking rather blood thirsty. "Who the ell are you?" one of them demanded. "It don't matter, dawg!" another one cried. "They asses ours now!" "Get their Myta!" another roared above his peers. "and strip them down... those clothes look like their worth something... especially that guy's cloak!" Boho turned in the direction of the latest goon to speak. "You want my cloak?" he began, raising his fist into a fighting stance. "you'll have to take it off my corpse then... well...at least try to have the decency to kill me first... I honestly don't want to be alive to see it sullied by your filthy touch, ya criminal." "That can be arranged then, Afro man!" the same goon called. The circle was beginning to close. the four men stood back to back, Lucian lying on the ground in the middle of them, passed out from the walk (and the pain from his broken rib cage...). Boho looked glanced back at everyone. "aw, screw it..." he said. "Looks like we're gonna have to kill em all, folks! get to it!" with that said, he dashed forward and began his assualt on the nearest bandit. a few others came to counter him, but the majority ignored their comrade's battle with the magistrate, closing in on Sinbad and Giddeon and Zoliver and Darius, weapons raised and prepared to strike, all of them letting mismatched battle roars... ((alright... show them what your made off...))

As Kenny entered the room, he could see that Aaron was indeed correct. there was someone sitting here. in front of a roaring fire set in the middle of the floor... there was a makeshift spit over the flames... a grease drizzled pot sizzled and boiled. It was a young man, looking arond Aaron's age. He had Auburn hair and tired eyes. an intricate robe of blue and silver and gold was draped over his shoulders. The boy turned to look at him, and Ko'luki felt a familiar feeling shoot through him... the same feeling from the shop. "It's about time you all got here..." the young man said.

"In the next room..." was all he said before going silent for a moment. He was thinking about something, but as to what, it couldn't be deduced. Aaron was the first to enter the home. and he stopped in his tracks the moment he was through the door. The air was cold and still... it held a certain metallic tang to it, almost like blood... though it seemed like Ko'Luki was oblivious to it. "there's something in here with us..." The boy said.

Notice! It was after a fifth-teen minute walk that the group arrived at Ko'Luki's homestead. It was a stout little abode, with stone walls and a roof that had a few shingles missing here and there. The windows were darkened, the air unnaturally still. Not a single thing stirred around the prospective heroes... not a single life form. no crickets, no wolf howls, no animals grazing in the wooded areas to either side of the road... The night was silent. No one had noticed until now, but the sky had transitioned from an inky black, to the color of blood since they had left the city. A bad omen in and of itself. Crack! a noise sounded from not far off. Nothing was there however... except shadows... shadows that seemed to writhe in the light of this crimson moon. Everyone subconsciously began putting up their guard, a feeling of general unease falling over the group of warriors as they stood there. "Unlock the door any day now, Alchemist..." Atton muttered sarcastically. He glanced around vigilantly as he spoke, his hand resting on the hilt of his blade, gripping it bone-white. "after all, it's not like there's some mad man running around trying to kill everyone on the planet..."

This is why I try to always copy to notepad before sending really big PMs... alright.. guess I should get to reading the IC so far since I've been skipping irrelevant post so far -
"Draidon," The Druddigon answered. "So... I'm guessing that the three of us all just joined Tempest?" he glanced around, noticing that the... jolteon was not there. "Speaking of which," he continued. "where'd that electro-frea...." he stopped himself for some reason. He honestly didn't know why he all of a sudden had second thoughts about referring to the Jolteon from earlier as that; he had been calling every other electric type he'd ever met that... something about what he had said though...could it actually be true? that not all of em were like that? All his life, Draidon had only ever seen evidence that it wasn't... he'd need to see some serious proof otherwise before he started considering it. But He had a strange feeling about that one... "I mean," he corrected himself, grumbling a little. "where'd the other guy go."

((murdoc, you're at the entrance to Mt.Horn already, right?)) Draidon slowed down to a jog and then stopped completely as the gaping entry way to the mountain loomed up before him. He wasn't scared of this place, hell, he had hiked up it last night, and then back down it this morning... though, to be fair, almost every enemy he had come across during both trips hadn't stood a chance against a few hits from his Fire Fang attack. "Where'd you go, Tailow?" he called out to Ace, referring to him by his kind since he didn't actually know his name.
