    Taka...

If you don't want her to take ideas for this, then stop giving her so many potential ones... :/
  2. a Dude. he used the male term "him" in his sample IC text from his reference sheet.
  3. And I still can't believe that a Swirlix managed to kill a snorlax... using a gun, of all things... LQTM well... he is a gangsta...
  4. I knew I forgot something.... XD yeah, if your interested, stop by and check things out. or if your ever just bored and looking for something to occupy yourself with. We're all friendly there... mostly.
  5. Or would you rather we just disregard that message and post anyways? I'm thinking about using that sample IC text I put in my reference sheet as a bit of a personal prologue for Draidon...
  6. Welcome to Reborn. Check out the server, browse the threads, and sign up for Nations if you're interested (But only if you intend to actually honor the commitment... we've had such an issue with people signing up and then being inactive/ never coming around again for a while now...) And all I see is a Kangaskhan Cub mourning it's dead mother whilst wearing her skull... ._.
  7. This. And I honestly don't wanna test just how much the site would be able to take with all that... remember the Gator War?
  8. Username: Stratos Character name: His actual name is Draidon, however now a days everyone calls him Attonbitus (Latin for "Thunder struck"), or Atton for short Pokemon species: Druddigon Pokemon or Human?: Pokemon Exploration or Rescue?: Rescue Affiliated Castle: Tempest If human, which power?: If pokemon, which trinket?: --- Appearance: Like a standard Druddigon, however, His wings are larger and more jagged than others of his species, and a scar runs across his belly in a jagged shape vaguely resembling a thunderbolt (Hence his name...). Personality: comes of as A bit rough and curt at first, But upon warming up is a very loyal individual who is more than willing to go very far out of his way in order to help a friend in need. Doesn't like to back down from challenges, and has an adventurous spirit; sometimes so adventurous that it proves to be a bit foolhardy... Due to an incident a few years ago resulting in him getting the scar on his belly, he has a very strong dislike for electric typed pokemon and electric typed moves (And I mean more of a "Bordering on hatred" type of dislike, not like a phobia or fear). He actually hates being called by Attonbitus, but never speaks up about it, letting it serve as a constant reminder of what happened along with the scar. IQ skills: Standard set, Non-traitor Level: 11 Moves: Dragon Claw, Hone claws, Scratch, Fire Fang Team members: Ace (Murdoc), Sparks (Sparky), Roy, Vincent Team leader: Draidon Team rank: --- Write 3 sentences of IC: Atton brandished his outstretched claws and gave a war cry as he charged forwards at the mob of Electric pokemon who stood in-between him and the stair case leading to the next floor... a Monster house. It had been a monster house, and he had walked right into it... but that didn't matter to him right now, not as much as the fact that the room was jam packed with various species of electricity wielders like Manectric and pikachu and mareep and magneton. his hands becoming engulfed in a light blue light as he unleashed Dragon Claw, leaping into the air and slashing in a blind fury, landing blow after blow upon the enemies who were directly in front of him, in effect cutting a small swath in the crowd as they fell. He landed on his feet with a hard Thud! as he cast a hard glare at everyone surrounding him. All around the chamber, his adversaries were beginning to erupt in burst of sparks, charging up to hit him with something rather not so pleasant. The path he had cut was still open behind him, he could still fall back, get out off here. But he wasn't going to retreat, he didn't much like the feeling of saying that he "Quit" something... and he sure as hell wasn't about to back down against Electric-typed scum bags like these. The teal hue surrounding his hands dulled and then vanished, his claws knicked and dulled by the force of his attack just moments ago. he reached up and dragged them across the cheek of his rock hard head, the skin there more than tough enough to not only withstand the action, but also sharpen them back to par. Within a few moments, both set of claws were ready. He unleashed another battle cry and charged forward again. Rushing forward to meet him was the massive combined torrent of static electricity that his enemies had just fired off... 9. At the Nix gate... "Very well then," Aaron replied. "Now... who knows how to get to this "Castel Nix" place?" "I do." Samiel spoke up. He seemed hesitant to go any further. Aaron didn't seem to notice. "Then... lead the way." Samiel did just that, heading off down the road. the others followed soon after. within moments, Aaron was standing alone with Octavia, Ko'Luki, and Maximus. he looked at them all, a solemn look on his face. the bravado from moments earlier was gone now. A disgusted scowl spread across his face as he looked up at the sky. "I hated every damn moment of that just now...all them just nodding and saying "Yes" like their servants answering to the Lord of a house... " he said. "Makes me feel like I'm some arrogant high-born bastard talking down to others as if their dirt, as if they're not humans too...makes me feel like I'm the very type of person I despise most...If this is what leading is going to be like..." With that said, He sighed and shook his head, walking away from the three of them. the rest of the group seemed to be waiting further down the road.
  10. Alright, now that that is cleared up for the sake of any other confused persons, I have done some looking around to figure out why this looks so familiar to me... And I know why, it's a lot like Generator Rex... suspiciously so... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Generator_Rex I don't know whether you drew inspiration from that or came up with all this on your own and happened to be on the same wavelength as the shows creators, but regardless, Moving on. My Next Questions: 1.You have Races here... now then, will you be including classes as well? or are the races meant to act as Classes as well? 2. What is the year of the stories exposition (IE, when is it set?) 3. You say this is a "Lols fest" but what do you mean exactly by this? is this RP going to be based more on comdeic effect than actual action? and if so, how exactly, do you intend to make it so? (I ask because I personally don't consider the explaination for these you've already given in the OP to be sufficient) I will save the other questions until you finish with the drafting of the story and conflict
  11. Gilwyn did not flinch when he saw Matrim raise his axe. He had a fear of death, yes, but all men do, tis the workings of nature that all things that draw breath desire to continue doing so... But Gilwyn did not allow this basic fear, this primal urging to move out of the way, strike Matrim dead himself, or at least do something to save himself interfere with his conviction. He had lived by the sword his entire life, and now he would fall by it... and he had no objections to that fate. He knew that his actions were more than deserving of it... And then Matrim cast down his axe. Not on Gilwyn's head or his jugular, as he'd been expecting... but instead on the ground before his feet. And then the aging man walked off and peered up at the stars. A euphoric flood of relief spread throughout the more primal parts of Gilwyn's mind as he processed the words that the man spoke as he left... he would yet live... would continue to draw breath and feel the sun's warmth and the moon's chill. That was the basic part of his mind, the animalistic psyche left over from time immemorial in all humans... but in the Civil part of his mind, the part in which the twin lights of justice and Reasoning dwelt, he felt nothing but shame now. He could say nothing that would ever come close to remedying the pain he had caused, and this man refused to splay his blood upon the road in the name of his fallen family. There was no way visible to Gilwyn that he could ever atone for his crime now... but just because something is not visible, does not mean it is not there. He didn't know how, but Gilwyn knew that he would, someway, somehow, find the path that would lead him to his Attonement, and he knew that he would not rest until he did so. "You are a far bigger man then most, Matrim..." he said as he walked towards the man and stopped shortly behind him. "I am sorry for what I did to them, Matrim, And I am sorry for what I have done to you. I want you to know that, Matrim...and that I will find a way to atone for what I've done, even if I must walk the earth for an eternity to do so..." He had nothing else he could say to the man. and so he turned, and walked away. But he stopped after a few meters. "I have ordered my..." He stopped. Chimera White was dead. It had fallen with those twenty men and women tonight. he had lad them all into the abyss... he did not deserve to even refer to himself as a commander, not anymore... not after being the sole survivor of that last encounter. "The last orders I gave to the members of Chimera White," he continued. "Was to tear down and destroy all the wanted bills with your face upon them, spread the word that you no longer hold any bounty on your head... and to hunt down and kill the sorcerer who spurred the plagiarism I was shown that night." Gilwyn turned and again walked away. "His name..." he said. "Is Artel Erosin Nohce. He is a Dark Father. I am sure you know the meaning of that term." Aaron stood nearby as Gilwyn admitted to killing Matrim's family, honestly unsure of what to do when the man had offered him his life in atonement. But it seems he would not need to do anything. Matrim had cast his Axe to the dirt and walked away... he had shown mercy. Aaron found himself with a sudden respect for the man at seeing that action, not many individuals would've been able to control themselves like that, knowing that the one who slew their kin stood before them. Aaron himself probably wouldn't have been able to control his wrath if he were in a similar situation. But despite this respect for Matrim, there was still an issue now... They were all aparently traveling with a murderer, who had admitted to his deeds twice in the same night... but perhaps it would not be an issue, This man did seem repentive for his doings... that and the fact that even if he wasn't, it wouldn't have been Aaron's place to strike him down. Matrim was the one he had caused so much hurt and anguish to. And so it was Matrim, and Matrim alone, who would ever have the right to avenge his loved ones by destroying their killer. "Walk with me," Aaron ordered Ko'Luki and Maximus. h=He began to make his way back to the gates. Seemed he had changed his mind about co-operating... whatever that man in the black and gold had told him, it had worked... but for some reason, when either of the two of them tried to recall what the man had said to the lad, they found that their memories were foggy and useless... the words were their, the image of the man grabbing Aaron by the shirt was their, but the sounds, the noisy, were scrambled, hectic, alien... completely undecipherable to any sane person. The two men followed behind the teen without question. soon they all stood before Muya and the others again. "I will do what is needed of me," He said as soon as he had looked every person present hard in the eyes. "But I have conditions; none of you will treat me like a damn child. If I'm anywhere near as crucial to this effort as you claim I am, then I deserve to be treated on equal footing with you all... don't ever talk down to me like I'm some ignorant babe." "Very well then," Said muya. "Let us be of-" "My conditions are not done yet." Aaron said in a stern, authoritative manner, not shouting in fury, but yet neither calm either. Muya was a bit taken a back by this... so, it seems the ploy had worked as she had hoped... get him frustrated and make him want to walk away, then just as he goes, get him emotionally invested in their plight... Make him WANT to get involved. A sure fire way to obtain the leader they needed in this endeavor. Muya had done well in their commanding so far, but she could not continue on in the role for much longer. Thus, enter Gilwyn. What ever he said to the boy, it worked with flying colors. Which was good, because Aaron ultimately would have to take up the reigns at some point, had to learn to lead his own forces and make them trust him, not sit back and be a mere figure head. "From this point onward," The young man continued. "You all will regard me as the leader of this... for lack of a better word, this Resistance force against Rosse's plans... and I also want you all to serve as my council. I will sit down and discuss and plan with you for all major Issues we come across, but I will ultimately have the final say in what we do. I will try to consider whatever advice you offer me, so I do not anticipate that this arrangement will become a problem..." He looked around at everyone one last time. "Will you agree to these terms?" he asked finally. "What happens if we do not?" Muya asked, seeming to be trying to draw out a certain answer. "Then you might as well go and throw yourself from a cliff and be done with it," answered Aaron. "That is what you yourself said, more or less." "These conditions are well within the realm of reason" Muya replied, a smile on her aged face. "I accept." "As do I," Atton followed "I... I don't honestly know what any of this is about..." Esmerelda said "but... yes?" "You will find no quarrel from me," stated Cesealia. "I will trust in your command." "I trust you, my friend..." Eric stated simply "Consider this 'hell yes'" "You are starting to come into your own, my son..." Samiel said, a warm smile on his face... along with a look of fatherly pride. Aaron honestly didn't know how he quite felt about the man anymore... "I would be glad to serve on your council" "Then that only leaves a few others..." Aaron said. he took a mental tally of those who had agreed, then set his sights on the remainder. his gaze fell upon Maximus, Ko' Luki, and Octavia in turn. "I expect all those who've accepted Muya's call to arms," he began. "To voice whether or not they will comply with my terms."
  12. No Sci-fi? But...my own story, Surge Story, is technically in that category... anyways, Question: How many races, and I mean, EXACTLY how many are in this? because from what you put in the description about nano: It seems as if there are meant to be two races: Nanites, and regular humans who aren't able to control nanos. But yet just below that, you have three races available to players, one of which is called... Nanites... so that seems a bit confusing to me. Is nanite the umbrella term used to refer to these kinds of people your talking about, or were you speaking about this specific race? also, In my opinion, you need to clean up this post and format it. there is no real transition between the "Races" section and (What I presume to be) the "Skills" section, making it a bit awkward to read when you're basically looking over the races and then say "oh, look at that, We can play as hackings!" because you don't notice that it's supoosed to be a seperate section entirely. I'll leave you with that question and suggestion for now... though something about this... seems off... like I've seen the idea somewhere before... in a cartoon or something... anyways, I will more than likely be back with more questions later. If it seems like I'm being a bit hard on you, I'm not trying to, it's just that I tend to take Sci-fi genre very seriously...
  13. "Matrim..." Gilwyn began as he heard the man approach. He turned back around to face him, having looked off the glance down the road a few moments prior while he was waiting. He honestly didn't know what to say. He had killed this man's family, how does one go about confessing that to the Victim's next of kin? No... it did not matter. He had done the deed, he did not know that it his information was false at the time, but he had still dirtied his hands with the blood of the innocent. He had always gone on and on about people accepting responsibility... now it was time for him to live by his own code. "Matrim..." he again said. "Three years ago, you arrived home to find your family's home torched with them inside... I am the man who lit that fire, on word that you were a Sorcerer, a practitioner of the black arts, and that your wife and children all knew full well that you were..." He stopped as a heavy night gust picked up and began howling for a few seconds, so loud that anything he would've been about to say would be lost to the gale. the pause that followed was almost dramatic. "I am... was the Commander of the classifieddid Church unit known as Chimera White," he continued ater the wind died down. "We are...were tasked with the upholding of the ancient laws of magic. That night, I did only what would've been required by the ways of old... to destroy a Sorcerer entirely and outright, to leave no family and no friend for them to turn to... to eliminate the possibility of them being harbored and thus making their capture and execution easier. It would've been required... had any of the information I was given was true. You frequented a local Library, did you not? you spoke often with a certain clerk there, whom handles the records of all those who enter and draw upon the knowledge of the tombs. This librarian... this friend of yours... if the one who gave me the records that night. He told me that there had been a suspicious activity as of late... and he pointed out your name on the registry. Your friend lied, Matrim, your friend betrayed you that night. He brought down the wrath of the Church magic depot. upon you that night... his lies are what brought me to your household, thinking you were a transgressor of old law. He had been bribed, Matrim, he swapped your reading records that night with that of another... with that of the real sorcerer I was pursuing. He finally gave in to his guilt tonight, and came to me and admitted his purgery on the records. and I strangled him where he stood and left him to rot in the gutter... and then I pursued the man whose records were swapped with yours. He tore my men apart like they were tissue paper... the power he wields, it's not fit for the hands of men." He shook his head, a solemn look in his eyes. "But enough on that... I am the one who set your wife and children to the torch, Matrim. I am the one who ultimately committed their murders that night. I know no apology can ever right such a wrong... and so I will not give you one..." He held up his arms and stretched them out to his sides, making himself a target, it seemed... "But what I will give you..." He continued. "the chance to avenge your wife and children. If my death would ease your pain even a little, then I welcome your blade, Matrim... strike me down."
  14. How strange...seems I've grown more and more attached to the name "Stratos" over time, and yet have lost a bit of enthusiasm about "Ethic"

  15. well, so far I've only played 1,2, 4 (And the After years), 5, 6 ,7, & 8... need to get around to finding ways to steal play the others in the series. So far my favorite plot wise is 4... I honestly don't know why considering some of the ones that came after it had a bit of a deeper storyline... guess I have a strong respect for Cecil Harvey(To this day, I think that the surname doesn't really fit him...) mostly because he's not afraid to own up for the mistakes he made and has the sense of justice needed to question certain orders that cross a line... though the fact that 4 had "The after years" to go along with it probably factors in as well. I honestly enjoyed the combat system of FF8 with the GFs and all. it made it possible to have a decently strong party without having to go through a bunch of hours grinding because of the skills each GF got as they leveled up... which in itself was made a hell of a lot faster by Cactuar Island, getting like 20 AP for every one you killed in battle.

    Taka...

    Yes, one can only hope...
  17. I have to agree with Chim... some people are just stalking the thread and aren't saying anything because they don't think they need to. in other words, they're just waiting.
  18. It's not too late, Flux. I was just made this thread to present the idea in it's final form and make sure that I hadn't killed off all the interest with the changes I had made.

    Taka...

I think there's going to be a bit of major schism in Team Meteor just like there was in Team Plasma from Pokemon B2/W2... don't ask me why. perhaps Taka will have some hand in that?
  20. Welcome to Reborn. Have some cake. And enjoy your stay
  21. At the Nix Gate... Aaron stopped walking. He couldn't keep up the act of pretending he didn't believe any of this anymore, not after hearing this Ekarder's words. He knew it... but he had hoped that maybe, just maybe, if he had feigned that it was all some lie, that none of it was true, then it would become so. But it didn't work, this was all too real... and that's what scared Aaron, that all of this wasn't a lie. That the fate of the world rested on him...that if he fucked up even a little, then everyone would die. That this, all of this...happened because of him. "All I've ever wanted..." he began. "Was the chance to prove myself to the world. To make it so that people would actually respect me instead of looking down on me. I wished every single day for the past five years for that type of chance to come to me... and now here it is. But this is... it's far too extreme... I only wanted to give people a reason to stop looking at me and only seeing a cripple, I didn't ask for this... I didn't want the whole world to be in peril just because of my selfish wish... All those people who died in this city tonight, I didn't wish for any of their deaths...I admit it, the majority of my anger was caused by them, but to kill them...?" He turned to face the three of them. There was grief and shame in his eyes, along with anger.... anger at himself. "I was selfish," He continued. "I couldn't just accept my lot in life and be done with it... I had to demand more, I had to be some type of hero. And then tonight I finally was given what I'd been bitching and moaning about for years... and these people all died because of it." "Stop blaming yourself," A voice echoed out. A young man dressed in a blood soaked Black and gold uniform appeared behind Aaron. his face was solemn and his blue eyes stormy. The expression on his face looked as if he had witnessed a lot of good friends die tonight, among other things. He placed a hand on Aaron's shoulder. "This shit storm was brewing long before you were ever born," he continued. "Long before this world was ever created at all. None of this happened because of anything you did; it just happened to be that out of all the people in the world, you're the one who was chosen to stop it...This would've still happened even if you hadn't been. " "that doesn't change the fact that all those people are gone now..." Said Aaron. "You're right," said Gilwyn. "But it also change the fact that you were chosen. These people are dead now, this city is destroyed, along with three others... but you have the power to prevent this. You have the power to save countless others from befalling the same fates." he spun the boy around to face him, gripping him by both shoulders and looking him right in the eyes. "But that power means nothing if you do not fight to do so!" he continued. "There's no one else who can do this, no one else who can wield the keys, so if you do not fight tooth and nail, if you do not destroy your Foe-man utterly, than the world is finished." Aaron's eyes were filled with uncertainty. "But if I fail..." Gilwyn Gripped the boys shoulders even harder, shaking him a little. "If you fail, then at least you can say that you fucking tried!" he shouted "If you fail, then yes, this world ends, but at least someone will have tried to save it!" he let go of him and took a few steps back, still maintaining eye contact. "Listen to me," he ordered. "You can not be afraid of mistakes. and when they happen, you can not be afraid to accept responsibility for them. Do you see that man over there?" he pointed his finger back towards the group, right at Matrim. "I have made many mistakes over the course of my career," he went on. "but by far, the biggest mistake I ever made was against that man, Matrim. I killed his family, burned his wife and children alive in their sleep because I was given intel that he was a sorcerer, a wielder of the forbidden arts. But that man was no such thing. I was lied to, and while I was out committing what can only be called murder, the real sorcerer escaped and continued to evade death. The blood of that man's entire family lies on both my hands and the hands of the one I was pursuing, but far more so on mine. It was I who fired the conjuration the sparked it, it was I who set them to the torch. There is no way I can ever fully right the wrongs for that mistake, nothing I can ever say or do. They will always be dead." He reached forward and grabbed Aaron by the lapels, ripping the colar right off of his robe. seeing this, he cast the thing aside and instead gripped the boy by the shirt. his hold was strong as iron. "But I do not RUN from that mistake, knowing that I can never fix it," he said. "I take responsibility for it! My intentions in doing it were to keep the world safe, but the world was not made any safer by killing that woman and her children, the world was not made any safer by causing that man grief the likes of which I can probably never comprehend! I don't run, and neither should you. If you care enough to be afraid of fucking up in this mission, then you are more than strong enough to accomplish it without error. A mistake met with regret from the person who wrought it is always forgivable at some point, but a mistake met with Apathy is always a crime. and even if you err, there will be no one to hold it against you." with that said, he let go of the young man. Aaron took a few steps back. "You're right...." He said. "Fine then... I won't run. even if I fail, I'll try to fix it however I can... I won't give up. I'll stand and fight to the end... I will find and destroy anyone who dares to side with Rossepus. I will show no mercy and accept no surrender." "Good then," Gilwyn said. He then told his attention to Octavia. "that man over by the gates," he began "Matrim, tell him to come over here... it's time I pay for the evil I committed that night."
  22. At the Nix Gate... "I don't question the Lunacy of others," Divinius Replied. He kept walking, not even looking back at Octavia. "I simply don't involve myself in it..." He stopped suddenly, turning to face her. there was a look in his eye... something strange... it looked almost like sadness. "It has to be lunacy," He continued. "I'm a nobody, nothing special...hell, just two hours ago, I was a cripple, someone who most saw and wouldn't ever think twice about classifying as worthless. I didn't have any place waiting for me in the world then, and I sure as hell don't have one now." He turned and began walking again. "I'm a broken puzzle piece," he said. "If I want to have a place somewhere, I always have to fight tooth and nail for it... nothing has ever been handed to me, so why would things change now.?" with that cynical remark he broke off their conversation, hearing as someone else approached. he slowed a little to hear this one, retorting immediately after. "This doesn't prove that anything that old crow said about me is true." with that said, He broke off this conversation too, and continued on in his stroll down the barren road.
  23. This is a joke, just to let any gullible readers know. don't do it. seriously...don't.
