Name: Gilwyn Belachi Faction: Ravens of the black star Class Descriptor: Hitman Appearance: a young man standing in at approximately 5'7, with a head of messy, pitch black hair hair and dark, stormy blue eyes that have a way of making most of those who make contact with them tend to feel uncomfortable, almost as if he's glimpsing into their soul. He's a fair complexion, and appears mostly average in most other physical aspects. Gilwyn's outfit of choice is a Black, collared, double breasted coat, with loose fitting trousers of the same color beneath, and a pair of black, cuffed boots upon his feet. appears to be early to mid twenties Personality: Gilwyn tis a mostly silent man, near the point of being aloof. however, he only refrains from talking much because he feels it's best not to waste breath saying needless things, as in the city of Nevermore, one never knows which one will be one's last. a cold and calculating individual, he surprisingly tends to follow loyalty over money, though this doesn't mean much given the fact that he decides his loyalties mostly based on who can offer him the most potential gain. he is mostly out for himself, but his devotion to the Rivenholts is quite real, out of respect for the promise he'd made his Foster father. don't let his often cold demeanor fool you, however; he does tend to open up a little and talk more around those he genuinely trust, which isn't many, and he does have some loyalties he'll never break, such as the one he has towards his foster father, Jolen... and, well, He'll never admit it, but he's actually got a soft spot for children.(Which sometimes interferes with his convictions and interests) Background: Born in Nevermore and raised by his mother, whom fell ill and died shortly before his tenth birthday. Gilwyn was subsequently sent to less than up to par orphanage, and learned there quickly that if he'd have to look out for himself and only himself as he endured constant bullying from the other, older children. in one such instance, a boy his own age stood up to them and they backed off. Gilwyn had thought he'd made a friend, that maybe he was wrong about only looking out for his own good, but then the boy who'd stood up for him turned around and asked for his daily bread, and being no fool, Gilwyn easily figured out that the boy was not his friend and never intended to be such. he realized the boy had only helped him because by doing so, he thought Gilwyn would be more motivated to comply than if he'd gone the other route and tried to bully it out of him, as the older boys had been trying for so long... but even though Gilwyn knew exactly what the boy's angle was, he had to admit, it had worked, he was far less opposed to handing his lunch over to this boy than he had been with the bullies. and so it was that Gilwyn added another lesson into his mind; If you want something from other's, you be far more likely to succeed, and with much more ease, if you make them want to give it to you. as the years went on, and Gilwyn reached early adolescence, he began trying to put this lesson into play, finding that if he acted in a way that suggested that he was a friend, then people around him were far more likely to comply and give him what he was after. just as his web of lies and friends and deception slowly began to expand and grow within the orphanage, Gilwyn caught the attention of a rather shady man whom was passing by. the man began speaking with the Head of the seedy orphanage. a few moments later, the director, a man whom Gilwyn had honestly come to hate in the two years he'd spent there, ironically gave him the best news of his life; "Collect what little belongings you've left, boy, this fellow here has decided to take you in." Gilwyn was elated, though he tried not to show it. he was finally going to get out of this hell hole filled with bullies and thieving little bastards. he honestly had no real things he cared to think of as his 'belongings', but he was glad he didn't, because that simply decreased the time until he was out the front door of the Orphanage and standing on the street with the man who'd chosen to take him in. the man took Gilwyn to his abode, gave him food and new clothing. but the man wouldn't talk to him for the longest while, a few days, in fact, and Gilwyn couldn't help but apply his old theory to this man's actions. "What does he gain from taking me in?" he pondered to himself often in that first week of living outside the Orphanage. it was on the first day of the second week of living under his roof that the man finally spoke to Gilwyn for the first time. he remembers the conversation to this day, the two of them were sitting at the table, breaking their fast: and from that day, Gilwyn decided he really had no other options. it was either let his Foster father, Jolen, as he learned his name to be, train him as his apprentice, or go onto the streets...or back into another group home. it was grudingly at first, but he eventually started to believe Jolen's justification more and more as the years went by. Jolen had taught him all he knew. by the time Gilwyn was twenty, Jolen thought that he was ready to take his place as the Rivenholts hitman. and so it was that Gilwyn took his foster father's place in the contract. and he now serves the Ravinholts dutifully, bound by the contract, and even more so by his bond with Jolen, one of the sole people he's grown to have any real trust in, to serve in their name for the next eleven years.

most everyone was indeed square. Three person turnout, folks. impressive, most impressive.yeah, it's voluntary and all, and if you already had stuff planed for that time frame, that's fine. but still man, only 3 out of 16 total members show? voluntary is all well and good, but you guys do realize that the only way for you to benefit from these Tier arsenal sessions is to try to attend them, right? anyways enough on that little rant... I've got the info we came up with during the thing.when given the option by Cowtao if I wanted to do the Session with just the two of us working or just go on about my way, I figured we might as well just go ahead with the thing even if it was only three of us (Cowtao and myself initially, then Jelly joined in during the middle of the session) since that way at least the Meta-Data would exist and everyone on the team could still use it as a reference if needed. so if any of you wants/needs it, PM me. and I trust I don't have to say this, but don't disclose it to anyone outside the nation. knowledge is the key to all power in this war.

I'd offer my help to you as I am aiming to become a writer and think doing something like this would get me some experience... however, I'm afraid I've no real interest in DBZ anymore,(Nor have I played the game the story will be based off) and If I can't get interested in a story, then the quality of the tale I spin will severely suffer as a direct result. I did have interest in it when I was a kid, but that's long since died. anyway, we've got a few people who write stories here in the community who may be willing to help; try asking around the RP sub forums. someone there may be willing to join your Fanfic team and help you out... (know that this isn't actually an absolute 'no' from me, I may actually decide to offer to help you get things organized in the future, but for right now, I'm afraid thats the answer i'm going to go with) -

One question, will there be levels in this RP? because if not, then I'll definitely consider joining this, even if it might or might not have a steep D&D Learning curve like the main story of Graterras seems to have.

Under the Hill - Second Circle: Lust
Sutoratosu replied to Notus's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
"Don't worry about me, Ellaria." Ethic said simply, not looking away from Quincy's still dead body. "I know he'll just keep coming back if I kill him... But maybe I can put the fear of god into the freak, make it so that he thinks twice before pulling shit like this again." with that, his hand began to again glow in a multi-colored light as he again established the death link, preparing for battle. "you all go on, You don't need to worry yourselves with this one anymore," He continued as his Life Saber materialized in his right hand "Me and Quincy had a bit of an agreement from earlier tonight, and it seems some of the things we agreed upon earlier didn't come off as quite clear to him, so Him and I are just gonna have a... little chat...and get things straightened out..." As he spoke however, his true intentions were clearly visible in his eyes; He said he just wanted to talk, but he was far more likely going to try to hack this freak of nature into so many bits and pieces that he'd never be able to come back; there had to be some type of limit down here, right? some type of border between how bad a person could be injured and still come back from death? Ethic had a hunch that the body needed to at least be partially intact for it to be able to work, but if his current theory failed and making Rat Sushi didn't get the job done, he'd think of other things...other methods he could try... -
thinking of starting an Trio-type challenge using the types allowed to be represented in the Volcanic Nation... (Fire, Poison, Electric) might not be too crazy of an Idea...

Well, the post is up for Anver. And Flux, don't think that I'm trying to dis you or your story or what you have planned for the plot or any type of disrespect in any way, shape or form to you as the head author of this tale. it's just that, well, we've already discussed this on here, really, but there's honestly no real portrayal of the organization "Utopia" that comes of in an even slightly positive light so far in the story. that coupled with the fact that Anver so far only has the facts that A.they took my wife and kids and are threatening to kill them. and B.they apparently want to take over the world and get rid of everyone whose different from them. Results in him having quite the unflattering viewpoint on Utopia. again, Let me make it clear: In no way way, shape or form, did I intend to disrespect you in the latest post. it's just that I'm trying to use basic logic and play the character well. quite honestly, he's more afraid than he is anything else right. he;s afraid that something's going to happen and he's going to lose his Wife and Kids for good. He's afraid that, at the end of the day, he isn't going to be strong enough, isn't going to be ruthless and cut throat enough, to be able to go up against this apparently large of an opponent and save them. and this fear, this basic, raw emotion, translates itself into Anger right now. Anger at himself for leaving in the first place.Anger at letting it even happen. Anger because maybe, just maybe, if he'd gone quietly with the feds that night, then his family would still be safe right now. but most of all, Anger at the people he perceives as being the ones who did this. Anger at the people who tore his wife's and kids lives apart. anger at the group who may damn well have ensured that his kids might not even have the chance of an even remotely normal childhood. And even more than all of that put together; He's angry that the people who did this are still walking around, free as day. He's angry that he hasn't put them all into the ground to let the worms feed on them. so, yeah. right now, a 180 is probably entirely out of the question. like, forever. his current thoughts may well become the guiding factor for him throughout the rest of the story, but I don't quite know about that yet. I think there's still a slight chance to change. but very slight one. -
The Awakened - First Pillar (IC Thread)
Sutoratosu replied to Flux's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
"Wonder what the bastards want," Anver said idly as he finished washing the utensils and placed them into the plastic dish drain beside the sink, where they joined the still soaking wet pot there with a loud metallic Clank! he couldn't help but let his mind wonder a little as his hands had been working "They say they want they want to make a world filled of people like us," he continued as he began moving away from the sink, holding his arms out infront of him and focusing on heating the air around his palms and subsequently drying them much like one would with an electric hand dryer found on the wall of a public restroom "But what the hell does that mean... What is 'US', exactly... Why the hell do people like me even have these powers?" He dropped his now dry palms down to his side. it was a damn good question, one Anver had been restraining himself from thinking about so far during his time as a fugitive, when it would've been much more productive to devote his thoughts solely on his surroundings and what his next move would be to continue to escape capture. But nevertheless, these were questions that very much deserved to be asked; Why did that...pillar thing rise up from the ground in New York? Why the hell did he, out of all the other people that were in Time Square that morning, be the one to develop an ability? And these two questions again led to the big two: Who the hell was this "Utopia" Group. and What the hell did they want with...him? no...not him, he wasn't the ending subject of the question anymore, he knew that they wanted him to serve as a hit man against "The Bartender" and that they chose him because he'd apparently have the good chance of succeeding given the fact that his and the Target individual's abilities were so similar... No, the subject of that question was now- "what the hell do they want with this 'Pillar' Thing?" Anver asked aloud, breaking his mental mutterings and speaking his thoughts, not that anyone else was there to hear them. The memory of the night before flashed through his mind as he took a seat at the table; he had the feeling that there was something that would help him get out of the current situation if he could figure out the answer to this one question. " If possible, find out what you can regarding the supposed information of the Pillar." The words rang out clear as day in Anver's Mind, Along with words that had been spoken earlier in that same conversation as well: " the Bartender is set to be attending a dinner party tomorrow night hosted by a government official. The Organization seems to think there will be important information regarding the Pillar there." He leaned back in his chair, propping his feet up on the table, only then did he notice the amount of dirt and mud and dust on his boots, though... not like he really cared, He hadn't ever all that petty about clothing in his life, growing up in what was at several times "the School of hard knocks". so so long as they didn't have any holes and kept his feet from getting wet, the damn things could've been hot pink and decorated with unicorn's and rainbows and been covered in dog excrement... well scratch that last one, He'd honestly go out of his way to find an opportunity to wash them up if they ever got covered in something so foul smelling... "So, there's Utopia and then there's some 'Organization'" He mused "Apparently they're bot after the pillar looking object that burst from the ground that day..." He sat up, leaning forward on the table. He was getting somewhere, he knew it, just a little bit more... "this pillar must have had some type of crucial role in how people starting getting these strange abilities" he finally blurted out, managing to finally fit the few puzzle pieces he had together, granted, not all of them fit together exactly right, but it was a pretty good start for having so little to go on initially, one had to admit. But Anver wasn't done yet, he still had more to figure out, he knew that much instinctively "But this alone still doesn't explain why either of these Groups would want control of it," he continued, beginning to scratch his chin as he racked his brain trying to come up with theories "Maybe..." he began "Maybe there's some type of way to augment or enhance a person's power... or some other effect that this 'Pillar' has under certain circumstances... Something..." he tapped his temple, he could feel in his gut that he was close... then it hit him, the answer all along, it was so seemingly obvious that Anver actually felt a bit sheepish for not having realized it sooner. "Power is always the name of the game," he concluded "whether it's in politics, the business world, or in armed conflicts, power is always the real name of the game..." he stood up from the table, pushing the chair in behind him "And I've got the hunch that it's the same for this; power is what everyone's looking for at the end of the day, and whatever the 'Pillar' does or whatever effect it has, it'll give them the type of power their looking for..." He put his hands into his pockets idley as he stared up at the ceiling for a while "Of course, this doesn't give me any answers about what exactly Utopia wants with the thing or who they are, but at least it'll serve as a good basis for me to start developing a theory as I get more and more pieces of the puzzle." he walked out of the kitchen and back into the room with the table as he continued muttering to himself "but for now, at least, I think it's safe to assume that Utopia is just like a lot of folks I knew back before this mess started; they're all just power-grubbing bastards. it doesn't matter what they want it for, just so long as they hold it in their hands for even a second or two, they'll think that they're satisfied, but then they'll find out that they need more, that the high is starting to fade too quickly, and they'll keep going out and searching for more and more to feed their growing addiction, and along the way, People, good people, people who don't want anything to do with their little struggle and who haven't done anything wrong, will end up getting hurt because of their actions." He couldn't help but gnash his teeth a little as he recalled what little business Ethic's some of the people he had worked with in the past had had. there wasn't really a lot that flipped Anver's hot switch; but people messing with his wife and kid's, and people who want either money or power and don't give a damn about the personal cost to those caught in their warpaths, were the two things that definitely did the job of pissing him the fuck off... and both those things had happened in this current situation. hell, if you wanted to get technical, one could even say that he and his own family were victims of someone else's rampant, ruthless ambitions... honestly, who the hell kidnapped a mother and her two children? "Fucking terrorist, that's who." Anver snarled in a low voice as he answered his own question. and that was the moment he decided it. the way things were right now, there was no way in heaven, hell, or earth that he'd ever willingly help these "Utopia" terrorist. he'd comply only as long as he had to to get his family back, but after that, oh, there would be some serious vengeance going on. He didn't care how many damn people this "Utopia" might have under it's command; He'd cut them all down, one by one if he had two. he'd show all them what happens when you go throwing your weight around and not giving a damn about who got squashed under the mass of your gargantuan girth. "Jesus," he began as he slammed the front door open, stalking out of the cabin "I'm sorry, but I don't have any choice now..." He broke off of the dirt path leading to the road below, standing at the tree line of the small clearing in which the cabin stood. "But I'm going to burn all those bastards to a crisp when I get the chance." with that said, he began trekking through the under growth. He didn't usually get angry, but when he did, it always was a bit explosive and always took a while for him to cool off... and cooling off is something he really needed to do in this situation. it wouldn't help to be so royally miffed like this when the car arrived tonight and this mess really got started. maybe a walk through these woods would help to calm him down... though that would probably take a while, because as of right now, plants were singed at the leaves at stems whenever he passed by them. ((OCC: Flux, Sorry if this post seems a bit harsh. it's not meant to disrespect you as the writer or your story, it's just that there's honestly no information at this point in the plot that's been presented to Anver that could possibly change his current view point of the group, so he's going on what he assumes the group to be based on some of his experiences in the past.)) -

Under The Hill [OOC/Sign-Ups]
Sutoratosu replied to Notus's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Wait, what? I think you guys are confused because you're thinking from too far back. the truce I'm talking about is the one that Ethic and Quincy made when they encountered each other on the staircase to the top of the gardens: ^That's the truce I'm talking about. Quincy and Ethic agreed to hold off on fighting each other for the night, however, as Ethic's wraithfulness is closely tied in with how protective he is of his friends, he veiwed Quincy attacking Annie, Ellaria and Enya as a violation of the agreement, and as such isn't himself going to bother any more with restraining from allowing himself to delve into violence against Quincy Ethic's memory on certain past events is rather spotty for now, and as such he doesn't remember how he saw Byron transforming into Quincy upon touching the lodestone in the first circle, ergo, he is not consciously aware that Byron and Quincy have the connection to each other as being two sides of the same coin. however, in the second circle, he had several encounters with Quincy, and as such remembered him because of that. however, he only had the one encounter with Byron, when he saw him transform, as I stated already. there were no other encounters between the two until the second circle. so when Ethic saw Byron again, this time in the gardens, he did not recognize Byron and regarded him as a stranger, nor does he remember how Byron nearly killed Mr.Taylor by opening fire. he retains the memory of the name "Shotgun McGee" which he gave, however, the earliest memory of addressing someone as it, was when Quincy attacked everyone for the first time, ergo, he now associates the name only with Quincy, despite him having called Byron himself that originally following the attempted murder of Mr.Taylor near the beginning of the first chapter of this story. I honestly don't know why you all were confused. there was only one truce Ethic ever made with anyone he had open hostilities with so far, and it was with Quincy. The reason I said it didn't last long is because I'm thinking in story time, not Real Time. and let's be realistic for a second; between the storming of the stairs, and everyone swinging across and entering the Green house, it honestly makes no sense for those events to have taken more two hours at the very most. Have I clarified enough? because if not, I really have no issue going back into the Chapter one thread and digging up all the old conversations/ posts that are relevant to what I have said above this sentence. {PS. Ethic knows Byron has lightning powers because he saw him use them earlier on, however, right now he believes this to be more of a coincidence that Byron and Quincy have the same abilities, instead of it being due to them being two halves of a whole. He assumed that Quincy } EDIt: ... Oh, wait... Damnit, I screwed up and technically metagamed... Ethic has no way of knowing for sure that Quincy has electrical manipulation, I simply had him assume as much because he would've entered the clearing to see Annie receiving treatment for burns...but I failed to acknowledge the fact that burns resulting from high doses of electricity are pretty much indiscernible from burns resulting from a fire or exposure to high amounts of heat...Ergo, that mental comment on having the same abilities is not logically possible... so Ethic's entire reaction may have to be scraped right now inorder to substitute it with him assuming Quincy has some type of Pyrokinesis and subsequently becoming unnerved because of this belief... actually, I'll leave this up to Notus: Do you want me to edit the post to make it more appropriate or are you fine with it staying like it is? anyways: Damnit...Really sorry bout that screw up folks.- 1735 replies

Under the Hill - Second Circle: Lust
Sutoratosu replied to Notus's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
"So the rat bastard has struck again..." Ethic thought to himself as he stood there listening to Ellaria explain what had happened. "And apparently he has lightning powers just like Byron does...yeah, that's just great..." he looked up from his mental mutterings and recalled the life force he had been using to sustain the blade in his hand, causing the construct to flicker and then collapse back into his palm, the energy retreating back into his body as he broke of the Death Link for now. he and Shotgun McGee, or 'Quincy' as he said his name was earlier, had made a pact on the stair case, a truce for the night. but you know what? to hell with the truce, as far as Ethic was concerned, attacking his friends counted as the same thing as an attack on himself, and therefore, the pror agreement between them was technically broken now... "If Annie is well enough to walk," he began, looking over at Ellaria and Enya as he spoke "Then you all need to get away from here quickly, before Rat Man comes back from death." he turned, casting a narrow glance at the body of the were-beast laying slumped against the tree, his voice ringing with a bit of wrath as he spoke up again "I'll stay behind here to make sure he doesn't try to pursue you... " he added "Plus there are a few...words I'd like to have with this rat bastard for going after you all..." -
Alright... well if it's that kind of way, their deaths being circumstantial instead of just straight murder, then I guess it could prove to be an interesting Idea. maybe have it so that taking them to certain areas after it happens triggers a chain reaction between the energies in the place and causes them to come back, maybe even with a different ability than others in the species would, like say, laying a charmander to rest in Aphothyll mountain causes it's flame to re-ignite and replaces it's old ability with Flash-fire
