Hukuna "Alright, then ser," the magistrate said. "I'm Magistrate Boho, and I'll be asking the questions here, let's begin." Boho leaned forward on the table, his black spectacles bearing deep into Sinbad's soul he reached into his cloak and pulled out a bloody Crossbow bolt, placing it on the table. he looked at Sinbad, his face emoitionless as he asked the question, still chewing something. "You recognize this?" Supernovae Rodriguez held up his hand in a halting motion to the Cook. "Stop," he said "Just, stop talking for a moment... Where did you say she went?" the cook shoke his head as he picked up the slab he had carved and placed it on a plate, the meat still steaming from the fire. "I don't know," he said "She just went past here and through the back door... and then she was gonzo." Rodriguez cursed under his "Damn it... she must have went to go after that theif from earlier... thought we were clear that we weren't going to actually kill her... looks Esmerelda changed her mind about that..." he looked to the cook as the other man pulled a slab of pork out of the fire and began carving a slab from it. "And you say she tore off her apron and took the metal rod that we use to prop the door open when we take out the trash?" The cook nodded as he placed a fresh cut of steaming pork on the plate along with the beef "Yes, Rodriguez. I saw her do it clear as day... and she looked pissed about something... keep muttering something about a... Nix Fucking Interloping letting some little whore escape... I just ducked back into the kitchen, I did no want to be on the receiving end of one of her rages." Rodriguez nodded, sighing "Looks like I'ma have to stop her from her warpath... I'd rather fight the Sky Slayer and his drake... at least then I'd have a higher chance of coming back in one piece..." with that Rodriguez picked up the plate and walked back out to the counter, calling out as he went. "Romon, to me!" in the distance a young man answered "Yes, boss!" a young man in a black tunic and pants with long dark hair and hazel eyes rushed out to join Rodriguez as he walked down the long hallway. he looked to him as he neared the corner leading back to the counter. "Your training is complete, you will be taking over for me at the counter tonight, think of it... as a test... do not fail me." The young man nodded "Yes, Boss!" "Good" said Rodriguez, handing the plate to the young man. "Take this to the man sitting at the counter, and refill his mug whenever he request. his bill is to be placed on my tab, understand?" "Yes, Boss!" Romon said, taking the plate and entering out behind the counter. he approached Maximus and placed the plate on the counter. "Here is your order, sir." he said in a strange accent... he seemed to empathize syllables with an S sound in them... Rodriguez nodded as he watched the apprentice, then turned and walked down the hall, approaching the back door as he drew his sword from his belt. "God..." he began "Don't let me be to late to stop that woman." With that he pushed the door open and dashed out into the night, the door slamming shut behind him.

Supernovae Rodriguez heard Maximus call out for another ale as he talked with the cook, giving him the order. the barkeepers eyes again took on a faint yellow hue as before Maximus's very eyes, his mug levitated over across the counter and underneath the barrel spicket, an orange aura around it as the lever became engulfed in a similar light and was depressed down wards, causing a stream of fresh froth and ale to flow into the mug. the lever shot back up as soon as the mug was filled near the top. the object then floated back over, positioning itself near Maximus's arm on the counter once again, the ale inside sloshing a little as the yellow aura again faded. back in the kitchen, Rodriguez's eyes lost the yellow hue as he looked to the cook. "You were saying?" he asked simply. the two men continued their conversation about where Esmerelda had disappeared to a few moments ago as the cook went over to the chopping block, pulling out a fresh slab of beef and beginning to carve into it with a sharp knife that had been heated in the fire. Hukuna the magistrate nodded, turning and walking off down a side street... Sinbad followed him, and before long, the two men had arrived in the white town district, named as such for the color of the buildings here. the magistrate disappeared into noticably large building's doors, Sinbad behind him. they entered into a large lobby... the walls were a rich golden hue from the light of torches lining them. the floor was marble and had the symbol of the church emblazoned in obsidian in the center of it. in the lobby were several short, rectangular tables, with other men in white cloaks and some in armor and some not sitting behind them, talking to various individuals on the other side of the desk. there was two stair cases at the back of the lobby, one leading up and another leading down. the magistrate led Sinbad down the latter one, emerging into a space with a slate grey floor lining a long corridor with several rooms with heavy, wooden doors. the magistrate went over to the first one on his right and put his palm on the door, a soft Click! sounding from it as he pushed the once-locked door open. "Gotta love that magick." he said to himself. inside the room beyond the door was simple rectangular table made of wood. two chairs were pulled up to it, with another two in the back corners... which held two magistrates in them. they looked up at Sinbad and the Magistrate who had unlocked the door. both of them had their hands on their swords. "He matches the description allright..." said one of them. the other was completely silent. The funny looking magistrate who had led Sinbad here went over to the far seat at the table and sat down as the door slammed shut and another soft clicking sound echoed forth. "Sit down, ser" the funny looking magistrate said, still chewing on something. "We simply wanna ask you some questions." Masterweavile898 Samiel and Aaron and Deric looked around the West Market square. Deric spoke silently to Samiel "Weren't they supposed to have been here by now?" "Yes," Samiel began, still scanning the crowd, which was virtually none existent now that the ceremony was so close to beginning... most everyone had gone to the holy grounds to witness it, only a few straglers remained... and none of them were the four Samiel had sent out at dawn this morning to recover his stolen property. the Sage sighed dissapointedly "Perhaps Lupai has figured out how to use the jewel... if that's the case, then there's no way they could've caught him..." while Samiel and Deric were talking with one another, Aaron glanced off to a side street in the distance... noticing someone limping there, favoring one foot over the other... curious, Aaron decided to see what was going on. he willed his chair to move, floating over to where the Side street connected with the main market square... he looked down the side street... he could see some type of wrapping on the person's foot, it was soaked through for some reason. Aaron looked on tentatively... the person was dirtier than what he was used to seeing in Cithalos... but they were still injured... and he had the power to help them, didn't he? and besides, it would serve as an excellent opportunity to test his skills in healing magicks... "You need some help?" he asked

Supernovae "very well then" Rodriguez said, heading off to the kitchen to have the cook begin the meal order, when he heard the young man call out behind him. "And one last thing, Tell me, Azuaqyar, will he really return tonight or is this just the theocracy trying to maintain it's power through some cheap magic." He turned back to the young man... "Yes," he began "The Sky Lord is returning withing the hour... it is perfectly legitimate..." he grinned at Maximus for a moment... the young man's beer mug became engulfed in a yellow aura and lifted off the counter a few feet into the air without any force seeming to act on it... if one looked at Rodriguez, they would see his eye's had a bit of a colored tint to them; one of the effects of tuning into the music of the spheres and using their power through Lenach. the mug lowered through the air again, landing softly on the counter top beside Maximus's arm. the yellow aura around it faded quickly after. Rodriguez looked at Maximus now, smirking a little "Now, my friend," he began "Don't ever call magick 'cheap' again; for your own sake... there are many people in this world capable of proving that statement very wrong." with that Rodriguez disappeared from out of the counter and into a small hallway leading to the kitchen. Masterweaville898 Atton ingnored Amelia, looking to the two men standing in the alley way... this was looking quite suspcious... "I shall ask you two again," he began, lifting his blade to a ready position... which to say the least was a fiercesome sight... then he sudden;y lowered it... recognizing Decate and Marshall's faces... "You two?" he asked, puzzled "Yes, us two." Marshall replied simply "Guess there's no harm in explaining... Atton, a few hours before dawn this morning... a man calling himself Freyal Lupai broke into the Corraway house hold and stole an artifact from the archives beneath the mansion." Atton's eye's went wide with surprise "Freyal Lupai!?" he called out angrily "That whore son stole in my city, and you did not report to any magistrate about this crime?" Marshall looked up at the man sheepishly "Yes," he said... "That's about right... it's was Samiel's orders though... he wanted to conduct his own small man hunt instead of getting the law involved and shutting down the city and letting Lupai know that we were on to him... though not like it mattered... that mission failed many hours ago..." Atton looked down at the two of them, furious "Come with me," he said, turning around and heading out of the alley way "We're going to find the Sage Samiel and have a serious discussion about this..." the two men followed Atton out of the alley way a bit relunctantly... starting to regret the decision. soon all three men were gone, leaving Amelia standing in the alley way alone... but little did she know that all her loot had been taken during the conversation... or that on the roof top now sat a man veiled in shadows, counting what he'd taken so easily from the young woman and whistling as he placed the Talisman he'd stolen back off of Decate onto his own neck. "Yes..." Freyal said silently to himself, he couldn't help but laugh... there they had been down below, talking about him the whole time... and here he had been, listening like a shade in a crypt... he had considered taking control of Atton with the jewel that glowed a bright scarlet in his vest pocket... but such size of body would not be helpful when thieving... he looked down at Amelia, gleening as he stood up, placing all her loot in his bag "It was a hefty decision... but it looks like I'll just take your loot and let you live afterall." with that the true King of Theives took off across the roof tops, leaping from one to another like a ninja and soon disappearing into the night as he reached up and gripped the talisman in the middle of a jump across buildings. ((Freyal only took what Amelia herself had stolen from the crowd herself earlier... all her personal belongings had no value to him and were left without being tampered with)) Chimchain The elderly women looked at Trystane mysteriously, still smilling. "oh, no no, young man..." she said a little ominously "I can see your future... you'll be out of this city before daybreak... you won't need a room tonight." with that the old woman disappeared. a moment later a young lady appeared from a hallway leading further back into the inn. "Oh," she said upon noticing Trystane there "Terribly sorry for the wait, ser," she gave a short bow "Would you like to book a room?" she smiled at him as she stepped behind the counter... it smelled like wild herbs for some odd reason... Hukuna A man walked over to Sinbad, addresing him as he approached... his mustache was strange... and so were his glasses... they had pitch black lenses.... but the man wore full armor, a sword sheathed at his side...and even more, he had on a white full body cloak stripped with grey... the mark of a magistrate in Cithalos "Sir, I'm afraid going to need you to come with me." he said in a weird accent, appearing to be chewing something as he spoke

Typhlosionrulez "I'm not just a simple law man." Atton said "I am the highest lawman in this city. the Arch Magistrate of Cithalos." he looked down to Gideon as they walked back into the West market square, where the activity and crowds had noticeably died down. "so yes, I'm going to have to refuse your offer... but only because If we fought, I would kill you within a few seconds." he looked around at the crowds as the two men walked through the square, and continued his conversation with Gideon, satisfied that no suspicious Activity was occuring "you see, when people look at me, they think raw power... but their wrong... I have two names in this city; "The Fortress" and "The Man-Drake" they call me the first for my size and strength and they call me the latter even more for my surprising speed in this heavy armor and with this great sword in my hand. as the two men continued their walk, Arch Magistrate Atton expalined to Gideon the history of how Azuaqyar had been struck down hundreds of years ago by the Sky Slayer, the traitor named Stratos, and of how this festival was to celebrate his resurrection which was due to occur at the end of the current hour. having thoroughly explained the night's going-ons to Gideon, he then left the young Turk standing in the middle of the market square. the "Man-Drake" then disappeared into the crowd further on... well not really disappeared... his head and shoulders poked out above everyone else's... ((Do not pursue any further, Typhlosion)) ----------------------------------------- Masterweavile898 Arch Magistrate Atton walked out of the crowd and onto a desserted , un lit side street... he didn't know what had drawn him here... but he had a feeling something was going on up ahead.. he drew his Great Sword, the blade named Rosefell,(for it's deep crimson coloring of the metal)... his white cloak blazing in the moonlight as his heavy steps and the clanking of his heavy armor sounded out in the still night air of the area... in the alley way, Decate turned... he could hear faint foot falls and metallic clanking in the distance... though it was still to far for Marshall or the strange young woman here to be able to pick up. he leaned out of the alley way and peeked at who was making the noise, spotting a hulking man in full armor and a gleaming cloak heading down the street, a large, crimson blade in his hand, he was scanning the buildings carefully, looking for anything out of order... he recognized the man imediately... "It's Atton... " he muttered to himself, sighing "Master Samiel specifically said he wanted no involvement from law enforcement..." it was true. Samiel had told him, Marshell, Royce, and Jezicalo that this morning... he had said that putting up an alert and closing down the city would only make it easier for Lupai to escape...though... it's not like having the help of a lawman would be very detrimental now... he was hashing this out in his mind when the woman spoke up mockingly, snatching the knife out of his hand easily... he didn't even use knives in combat... why the hell did he have one? just another one of the things confusing poor Decate at the moment... "Look at me! I'm Freyal Lupei, Thief King!" Marshall and Decate stood there unamused as the women waved the knife around at them. "I am Amelia Tolvaj. Humble, two-bit thief, at your service." Marshall looked to actually be getting a bit angry as the young women, amelia, as her name was, made a mocking bow to them. "Maybe you should all go home and take a nice long rest. I have bandages and food to purchase. And you appear to have a thief to not catch." Marshall had heard enough of this mockery, he spoke up, his friendly demeanor from before completely gone as annoyance filled his voice now "Enough." he demanded "I merely asked your name, not for a complete mockery of my and my colleagues situation." he looked to Decate "We need to report back to Master Samiel... he'll probably try to send out Deric himself to take care of Lupai now... assuming the bastard is still in the city." Decate shook his head "He might try to... but after what happened between Deric and Marca a few years ago... he hasn't been up to a good law hunt ever since that day... even if this is technically vigilante...he'll never accept the order to look for Lupai if he's given it...not unless Master Aaron or even Samiel himself was killed by him." Marshall narrowed his gaze at Decate "Did Lupai possesing your mind dull your long term memory as well? we all vowed not to talk about it ever again. that past... never existed as far as the five of us are concerned. no be quiet... I think I hear something..." just then a voice echoed out from the end of the alley way as a giant figure emerged there, their cloak gleaming white and throwing off a blinding glare in the moon light that hid there face. a strange crimson blade, as long as most men are tall, was in his hand. his giant figure blocked all possibility of escape from the alley way. "What's going on here?" Arch Magistrate Atton asked demandingly at the trio. ((OCC: Oh no... It's the POPO!))

Masterweavile898 ((this is getting interesting...)) Freyal merely grinned as the women flicked a coin in his direction. "Oh, that?" he asked arrogantly "you really think I didn't feel you up in my pocket when i was polishing my glasses just now?" he gripped the talisman and became visible, this time right infront of Amilia... which seemed impossible...though people should know not to underestimate the Thief King. He merely kept smiling arrogantly as he spoke further, his knuckles bare white against the handle of his knife, revealing a rage bubbling under the surface This bitch pick-pocketed me? "I only let you have it because I felt a bit charitable" he said, lying through his teeth and not giving a single sign that it wasn't the absolute truth of the matter "Consider it a parting gift from one far greater than you will ever be...only take what you need to survive...please, what horse-shit!" He tossed his knife in his hand, catching it and holding it back-handed as he continued speaking "You seem to think that honor actually matters in the practice of thievery!" he clapped his hand to his fore head as he laughed hysterically into the night air. "Cowardice, you think I care about being a coward? stealth is the name of the game, and if you're invisible, You win every time!" just then a voice echoed out in the night air as a figure could be seen on a rooftop overlooking the alley, his form silhouetted against the full moon. he looked to be holding a giant bow of some type aimed at the two thieves down below "Decate." the man called simply, his voice young sounding "Where you not sent to hunt down the king thief, Freyal Lupai, who robbed the House hold before dawn this morning? Freyal looked up, his laugh ending as soon as it had began. he looked around the alley way, confused. he spoke, his voice sounding completely different than a few moments before. his eyes had changed color from the cold blue they were a few moments before to a dark hazel. "Uh... yes... I was... why am I in this alley way...? the last thing I remember is heading off towards where master Samiel had seen him running off" The man on the roof top spoke up again. "Damn it... he must've gotten wind of us trailing him and taken control of you... just like he did with Royce and Jezicalo..." Not-Freyal looked up, his face shocked "wait," he began "he took control of them? but... how?" the roof man replied simply "Had them completely under his influence... that jewel he stole from the household is proving more dangerous than we originally thought... if he can take possession of us like this..." he stopped talking then, noticing a gleam on Decate's chest "Decate," he asked "What is that on your chest, that pendent..." Decate looked down, taking the talisman off and staring at it, his eye's going a bit wide as he recognized it... "this... look's like it's the project young master Aaron was working on... but how did I come to have it?" The man on the roof shook his head "You're asking the wrong person, my friend... but...it's likely Lupai used you to steal it from Aaron sometime earlier today... the young master had it with him this morning, I saw him with it, so it couldn't have been more than a few hours ago..." he then leaped down, rolling on the ground to distribute the force of the impact. he stood up, a large, silver bow in his hand. he wore a creme colored tunic with a black full body cloak on his shoulders, the hood pulled up, concealing his face. "What happened to your tunic and Cloak, Decate?" he asked next. Decate looked down at his shirt, noticing for the first time since waking up from... whatever spell he'd been under, that it was not what he had been wearing earlier when Master Samiel had sent the four of them out to recover what was taken. "I..don't know..." he looked up at the hooded man "Marshall..." he began "we've lost the trail, haven't we...?" the hooded man, Marshell as his name was, simply nodded "That seems to be the case... I've spent the entire day since noon tracking down the three of you and brining each of you back to your senses... and with you all acting crazy and me having to chase behind you... that whore son has had plently of time to get away..." Marshall looked at Amilia "And who, may I ask, would you be, my dear?"

Masterweavile898 Freyal laughed... he could hear this women's heartbeat like it was a war drum... then he stopped suddenly. "You try to act apathetic, but I can tell you're scared shitless right now." he walked up infront of the young woman "Absolutely pathetic... Keep your damn loot..." he reached up and grasped the talisman, turning off it's effect, again becoming visible he reached up and took of the glasses on his face, using his shirt to wipe them clean of debris before placing them back on his face... he'd been born with poor eyes, but his ears could hear things for miles... he glared down at Amilia as he continued speaking, a look of arrogance on his face. "The Theif king, Freyal Lupai, does not need to take from the likes of you!" with that he turned and walked off down the alleyway,he had no more business with this pathetic little pickpocket...the things she said she had on her, which was quite inconsistent with what Freyal had seen her looking over earlier, wasn't even worth a third of the property he would probably be able to steal himself from the crowds tonight... or even what he stole on a daily basis... hell, the talisman around his neck alone was probably worth more than this woman's life... who know's how much a person would be willing to pay for the ability of invisibility whenever they so pleased to have it? and to think that he had stolen it just today from some crippled boy in a floating chair... he had to be more carefull than usual with that one, though... he barely managed to get out of sight before the cripples bodyguard glared right to where Freyal had been when he made the swipe... he stopped reminiscing, pausing halfway to the end "Stealing from a two-bit thief such as yourself will only hurt my reputation in this city... and I've killed men before to keep that rep where it currently is." with that, he gripped the talisman once more, disappearing from sight again. he started walking off out of the alley, twirling his knife in his hands a he strolled. Typhlosionrulez Henry lowered his fusil, smiling for some odd reason. "Why, hello, Magistrate Atton." he said simply, looking at the hulking giant of a man in full gleaming plate armor and a bastard sword strapped to his belt who had appeared behind the robber in the doorway. he wore a white cloak over his armor, the symbol of the church emblazoned on the breast of it. his hand was on his great sword as he spoke "Hello, Henry... is there an issue here?" he asked "I heard the words 'highway man' and 'robb' while walking by here and decided to drop in..." Henry looked at Gideon "No, Magistrate Atton... I don't think there'll be any trouble here... if what this traveler says is true and all he seeks is information about the resurrection... though I wouldn't mind him leaving... I have to get going now if I want to get a decent view." Magistrate Atton nodded simply. Henry walked past Gideon and out of the doorway. Atton smiled and waved cheerfully as Henry headed off down the street. then he turned his gaze on Gideon, his stare full of a crushing sort of effect that would make an wyrm back down in fear. he never took his hand off his great sword sheathed under his cloak as he spoke "I saw you follow him to his home. you're a traveler in this city, not a resident. I'm going to advise you not to do something like this again, or else I will arrest you. what you did was trespassing." he glanced off as Henry disappeared from sight. "Now then, come with me and I'll explain everything about what's going on tonight as we walk." with that, he turned and exited from the door way, heading off down the street without waiting to see if the young man followed.

Supernovae Rodriguez laughed "Yes, my friend," he said "I know the weight that a death threat can carry..." his calm and almost merry demeanor faded in an instant "But it never carries as much weight as when someone who has taken everything else from you already makes it..." he was now scowling... a long scar arcing across his face was plainly visible. despite this, he waved out his hand to Maximus, offering the man a seat at the counter. "But enough on death... look though the menu of the day, see what sounds good to you." Masterweaville898 Freyal leaned back against the wall of the alley, watching the young women as she began to drift off to sleep. he griped the talisman hanging from his neck, it's enchantment veiling him from sight from anyone not versed enough in Lenach to be able to see through it... he was at a bit of a dilemma now... he was gonna go off and steal as much as he could tonight... without fear of being caught because of the huge advantage the Talisman's effect of invisibility granted him... though... maybe he didn't even have to leave this alley now. he looked down at the young women... he'd known something was off about her when he had seen her walk into this alley... and he knew she was a thief when she went over her spoils. he got up from where he was leaning, twirling his knife in his fingers... "Decisions, Decisions..." he said loudly, meaning to wake up the young women "Oh the choices I am faced with... Either cut your throat and claim your spoils as my own... or actually have a bit of honor about it and leave you be... decisions..." he gave a dark grin, though it's not like any part of him could be seen; to anyone who looked where he was, all they would see was the wall behind him. "Decisions..." Typhlosionrulez Henry stopped, and turned, seeing the same stranger from before standing in his doorway, a dagger in his hands... "Oh..." said henry "I get it, you're a highway man... looking to rob folks in all the festivities... all right..." Henry walked over to the counter of the show room of the Smithery, reaching down and grabbing a small steel ball. he stood back up and took out a small fusil from the folds of his tunic, stuffing the small ball into the chamber of it, then placing his finger on the hammer and trigger. he pointed the tiny weapon at Gideon, his stare fierce and defiant towards his presumed robber. "This right here is a special project of mine... fires quicker than any other fusil you'll ever see..." He laughed a little "Though, that's assuming a vagrant such as yourself would even know what a fusil even is..." He stopped laughing "I'll give you one chance, friend... leave, now... do that, and this'll be the end of it. no one dead. no one robbed."

Under the Hill - Second Circle: Lust
Sutoratosu replied to Notus's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Ethic stopped in his tracks when he saw movement up ahead... so damn close to the top... he thought to himself... it was.. what? maybe twenty or thirty steps more to the top... he watched in silence as the statues lining the stair ahead began to come alive, hissing at him and Lucian as they stood there. He stuck the black sword back int his belt... not like it would be much use against these things. he let out an angry sigh as glanced over his shoulder at lucian "Shit can't never be easy here, can it?" he asked sarcastically "Nope," Lucian replied "It seems that it never can..." Ethic took a stepp forward, a living statue hissed and lunged at him from it's stone pedestal, falling a bit short of it's mark however. it came off the thing and landed with a looked crack on the stairs, bringing it's head up and swaying it side to side as it stood in the way ahead, eyeing Ethic and Lucian as it hissed silently, a stone forked tongue flicking in and out of it's mouth. Ethic took a step back, and set up the Death Link... he had no choice now... it was the only way he would be able to fight these things and actually do some damage. he gave another glance to Lucian "Guess we'll have to force our way to the top." he said simply before returning his attention to the stone serpent, beginning to call forth his life force to his fist, preparing to make a counter when the thing struck next... -
Typhlosionrulez Henry turned around as some stranger asked him a question about blacksmiths "Yeah buddy," he began sarcastically, unphased by the strange blue eyes staring at him "Try finding one of those working tonight..." with that he walked off away from the man, thinking to himself There's no way a blacksmith such as myself or any others are gonna be opening shop on a night like this... who the hell travels to buy weapons anyway? we'd get better business simply by opening up tomorrow and taking tonight off... and besides... he grinned as he waltzed off towards his smithery, passing by the shop and not thinking any more about the guy who'd asked him the question; tonight was the night that the Lord would rise again... and he wasn't about to miss that for anything. How many people can say that they saw God himself rising from the dead?

Supernovae Rodriguez sprang up from the ground, twirling his curved blade in his hand before bringing it to a stop, holding it back handed along his arm. he gazed at Maximus and Esmerelda, looking to see what his co-worker would do... Esmerelda tossed her make shift staff to the ground, sighing disappointedly. "Damn tourist..." she muttered under her breath. "Fine," She said "Go on, get out of here. but just remember, the next time you target this pub, this fellow here won't be around to save you from the consequences... now get out of my sight." The young woman nodded her head, whispering in Maximus's ear as she turned to leave "Thank you..." she said simply, then the next moment she was out of the door. nearby a magistrate sat back down at his table along with his partner... looked like they wouldn't have to intervene or make any arrest tonight afterall... Rodriquez picked the table up, flipping it back up right and putting it back in it's proper place easily. Esmerelda reached down to the floor and put her apron back on, walking off towards the kitchen after giving a quick scowl at Maximus. Nix Fucking Interlopers... she thought as she walked off, disappearing behind the corner of the hall. Rodrigeuz spoke to Maximus as he passed by him on his way back to the counter, returning his curved blade to it's sheath. "We wouldn't have actually killed her, you know," he began calmly, completely devoid of the anger he'd shown while facing the theif "But with those types, it is best to make them think that you're angry enough that you will, otherwise they'll keep coming back again and again..." He leapt back over the counter, turning to look at Maximus as he continued. "though, I believe we've gotten it to the point where she does believe we will kill her if she steals from here again... Esmerelda has a hot temper... I wasn't expecting her to lash out like that... that is what convinced the little fool that we'd do it... and what convinced her even more was when you got up and intervened..." He reached down, grabbing a mug and holding it up to a barrel spicket behind him, pushing down on the lever and causing a stream of froth and ale to flow down into the glass. Rodriguez placed on the counter before him. "Come, sit... order some food, why not..." he reached behind him, pulling out a menu from a shelf and placing it on the counter top "It's on the house for the help you were just know..." he gave the young man an ominous grin "And besides," he continued "I'm sure you did not mean that threat on Esmerelda's life just now."

Supernovae The bartender walked over to the table, the young women noticing his approach and trying to hide the coins under the table. he stopped at her table, looking down at her. "Alright, out with the stolen coin," he began, his voice possessing a noticeable accent from the Diran area. the young women shrugged her shoulders "Why, I don't know what you are talking about, Ser." The bartender scoffed at this "Alright then," the Bartender said. "It seems that you are going to try and play that game..." without warning the bartender reached down and grabbed hold of the table, pulling his arm upwards with a furious shout and flipping the whole thing, sending the young women, along with the stolen coins, to the floor. the thing toppled through the air and landed upside down, a loud cracking sound echoing from it. the theif looked up at the Bartender, her face unreadable. The man reached over and grabbed a chair, flipping it so that it's back was to the young women on the floor. he lifted his foot up and put it on the seat of the wooden chair, taking his sword and slaming it down into the seat beside it with a thunk!, the weapon now sticking out of the wood like a sword in a stone. He gazed down at the young women, his face a mask of fury "We have already been through this the first time, have we not?" he asked her rhetorically "What did I say I would do the next time I or one of my fellow bar workers caught you stealing from this fine establishment?" his voice had a much more noticeable accent now that he was angry. the women tried to get up, he kicked the chair his foot rested on off to the side, yanking the blade out of the wood and holding it at the women's throat. behind him, the waitress who had been pickpoketed had appeared, her face scowling as she looked down and recognized the petty thief from before. "Stealing from the same place twice, are we?" she asked angrily. the man glanced at her over his shoulder "Esmerelda," he began "What did I say I would do to this petty little thief if I or any of my fellow bar workers caught her stealing from here again?" the waitress, Esmerelda, as her name apparently was, answered "You said you'd cut her throat and toss her out into the gutter with the rest of the trash. and I'm wishing you had done it the first time..." The young women spoke up from the floor "Oh it's just a few coins, you Ale Whore!" Esmerelda looked down at her, furious. she pushed the bartender clear out of the way, causing him to trip over the flipped table nearby and fall to the stones. "Sorry, Rodriguez" Esmerelda called out to him as he slowly got up, holding his head. She returned her attention to the thief, tearing off her apron and revealing an pitch black tunic and pants and boots of the same color underneath. she reached down for the chair that Rodriquez, the bartender, had kicked. she snapped off the entire pole supporting the left side of it, hefting the makeshift staff in her hand as she spoke to the theif on the floor. "Ale Whore, huh?" she began "I admit, I've been called many things by rowdy customers while working here... but that was actually an original one." The theif took this moment to stand while Esmerelda was talking. she began reaching for something on the back of her belt, only to feel a sharp pain as the pole esmerelda weilded cracked against the back of her hand, sending the knife she was retrieving scattering across the floor... Chimchain The elderly women behind the counter of the Inn's lobby looked up as the nice young man asked her for water and hay for his horse. "Why yes, of course," she said cheerfully "right outside the front door and to the left you'll find the stable areas on the side of the building. there's water and hay there. take as much as your horse would like, sonny, free of charge."

Samiel walked up the stairs leading down to the archives, arriving into the reading chamber to find his right-hand manservant, Deric, and his apprentice Aaron staring out of an enormous Gothic window onto the streets below. Deric stood next to Aaron, one hand on the boy's floatstone chair and the other one the hilt of his blade protectively, as if guarding the boy... well, he was a boy when he came under Samiel's tutelage... but it was not correct to call him such know, he was almost eighteen years now... almost an adult... soon his apprenticeship would be over. Samiel found that thinking of this saddened him a bit as he brought the hefty tomb in his arms over and placed it down of the circular table dominating the room. for the past four in a half years, Aaron had been like a son to him... which meant a lot, as Samiel had no true children of his own... only hired help and colleagues and old friends. Samiel recognized what was going on as he walked over to the two of them... Deric only reached for his sword when he was feeling especially on alert. he stopped shortly beside the two of them and his thoughts were confirmed when he saw Aaron's eye's closed, his head lolled to one side as if asleep... but Samiel knew he wasn't the young man had been wide awake when he walked down to the archives just a few minutes ago. Aaron opened his eyes suddenly before his mentor could open his mouth to speak. He peered out to the streets below, trying to process what the voices had just shown him as Samiel began talking to him. "what did they show you this time, Aaron?" His mentor asked Aaron tore his gaze away from the lighted festivities, looking both Deric and Samiel in the eye. "A man jumping over a wall and landing in a forest," he said, pausing for some reason. Deric and Samiel glanced at each other, puzzled by the sudden stop.they both returned their gaze to the boy as he continued after a few seconds "He bore a spear in his arms...and his hair was whiter than fresh snow..." ------------------------------------ DobbyTheElf "No, no..." the pudgy man responded, pushing his glasses up on his nose. "I am no bartender, nor is this a bar. this is my home." the man looked into the crowd, his eagle sharp eyes spotting the man within a second. he reached up and took off his glasses... not like he really needed lens to be able to see... and besides, his vision was far better without them... actually, he couldn't remember why he even had glasses... Oh... yes, that's right... he thought to himself I have them because Roland said it was suiting of Book store keepers to wear spectacles... though he also said that Giga-Boars won't charge if you poke them from the side... and look where his advice got him, dead in the ground... never found his body, probably rotting somewhere in the ZraZara right now. with that thought train he decided simply to toss the spectacles out into the street where they were quickly crushed by passer-by. he walked back inside his door way, reaching for some unseen object and stepping out again to face Darius, this time with a small crossbow tucked under his arm, a pouch filled with bolts at his hip. "Do not concern yourself with this matter any further, young man." he said, reaching to the window sill and grabbing the mug the drunk man had left behind. "I was quite the accomplished archer back when I was a young man like yourself, and I've still got the skills and the eyesight... even if I'm heading towards forty soon." he turned and walked off, calling out to Darius behind him as he began after the drunkard "Don't worry, I merely will talk to him... I have several vandalisms as of late and so now I must be harsher about these kinds of things!" with that the man disappeared into the crowd in all it's merriment. the throng had grown so thick that it was near impossible to find anyone in it... but Halls, the once sharpshoting, best archer of the Cithalos Chirch Guard, could spot his targets no matter where they may try to hide, and this Drunkard was not the exception. Leave your ale on my sill, will you? he thought to himself as he followed the drunkard through the throng. Well... here, let me return it to you... by tossing it in your face. ((Just let him go, Dobby)) Hukuna ((I'm just gonna let you continue on your own for now)) Supernovae A man in a simple grey shirt and a well trimed beard and cropped hair stepped up to Maximus, a grin on his face "Welcome," he began "What'll ya be having tonight?" the man's gaze drifted away from Maximus as he spoke, eyeing a certain young women sitting across the tavern... he looked on as he saw her reach into the pocket of a waitress silently as she passed by her table, then as she counted a few coins as the waitress set down the tray of ale and food she was carrying on a table nearby, and began speaking to the customers sitting there as she handed them their mugs. "Actually, one second there, friend... I'll be back to take your order as soon as I can..." with that the man leapt over the counter, unsheathing a long, curved blade from his belt and heading towards the table where the young women counted her stolen cash...

DobbyTheElf Robert turned lazily, he felt a bit out of it... maybe it was time to stop drinking for the night. he left his mug on the window sill beside him as he answered the stranger who had asked him about what all the festivities were about. "Well... it's common knowledge, isn't it?" he asked in answering, feeling as a slight headache was beginning to come on. it was definately time to stop drinking for the night... he didn't want to be that one man who was so inebriated that he had missed the resurrection of the savior of mankind because he was passed out in a stupor on some side street. "Tonight is the night of prophecy, the night that the Lord Azauqyar shall rise again... and this time the Church army will be out in force... that bastard, Stratos, won't be able to strike the lord again, not this night... if he tries, then the arch commanders will cut him down themselves. the ceremony is supposed to begin in an hour's time. you'd better get going now if you want to get a decent view." Having sufficiently answered the strangers question, Robert turned and walked off towards the Scholars town district, hoping to find a quiet place to sober up a little before the resurrection began, leaving his half drained mug on the window sill a few moments later, a short, pudgy man appeared in a nearby door way, his glasses ablaze with the reflected orange light of the lanturns lining the streets of the west town district. he looked at the young man standing in front of his window, and walked over, addressing the fellow "You there," he said to Darius as he aproached "Did that Drunkard walking off towards scholars town just leave his mug on my window sill?"

Stratos looked up at the holy city, Cithalos, in the distance, it's streets alive with festivities in the night air. the glow of thousands of lanterns burned bright against the darkened sky, throngs of travelers entering and leaving through the two southern most gates of the walled civilization. he adjusted his old cloak on his shoulders, pulling up his hood and concealing his face as he looked back to the cave mouth behind him, where the Drake Thead stood silently, his scales alive with a redish gold glow in the darkened night. "It is finally time." Stratos said simply, taking the spear known as Star Ripper from his where it was strapped on his shoulder and hefting it one arm. he was doubtfull that the spear, and the elderly wyrm who inhabited it, wouldn't taste blood tonight. "Yes... the day has finally come. I will be here at the ready, Stratos," Thead replied in Stratos's mind, translating his thoughts into english so that Stratos wouldn't have to do it himself "all you need to do is call for me, and I shall come to your aid." Stratos answered back verbally as he began to make his way up the steep slope before him. "Yes, old friend... of that I have no doubt." with that he crouched down low to the ground, focusing his mind and body as the dust and loose pebbles along the barren ground of the mountain side began to stir and spiral around his feet. he looked up to his target, a slope much further over head, which was half way between his current spot and the walls of the city above. he pushed off the ground with substantial force, the power of his legs sending his body into a soaring leap through the air. he maneuvered his body near effortlessly in mid air, landing atop the slop he had been eyeing from below. he looked down at Thead one last time, who simply nodded at the man and watched in silence as the Sky Slayer made another soaring leap and vaulted completely over the city walls, disappearing from sight on the other side. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The city bustled as the festivities of the night pressed on. the aroma of various foods from all across the continent wafted through the air heavily, entoxicating and drawing in many with their appeal. the entire city was packed with travelers of all shapes and sizes, of all nationalities and hailings, but all of the same creed: Cithalocism. This was the festival to celebrate the coming resurrection of the sky lord, Azuaqyar. the being who saved mankind in his darkest hour by giving him the knowledge to prevail. the ceremony was set to begin by the end of the hour, and many were beginning to flock towards the holy grounds to witness the miraculous event. including yourself, just another traveler amoung the throng in the city now. whatever may have drawn you to the city this night, whether it be personal business with someone, a vendetta to pursue, or coin to be earned, it is undeniable that in truth everyone was drawn here tonight to see God himself rise again. ((All characters are separated right now and relatively far from each other, even those who are in the same districts currently. there is no grouping at this point, so please avoid having encounters with each other for now))

Yeah, I know right? I think there's a bit of adverse bias in those scores... because reborn is freaking awesome. end of discussion... and it seems that most of the public who rated it agrees with that simple fact.

Oak, Rowan, and Caraway stepped out of the elevator and into the dimly iluminated hallway before them. Rowan looked around, then spoke loudly as he strained to continue carrying the crates weight "This isn't the atrium, Oak. you selected the wrong floor..." Oak looked around as he himself walked into the hall, carrying his end of the crate out of the elevator. "So it seems I have..." He said simply "Alright, back into the elevator." he began to back peddle with his end when suddenly he felt a hard, cool surface on his back; it was the elevator doors, which must've closed shut whilst they were talking. "Well, ain't that a bitch..." Caraway said, trying to palm the elevator cabin back up to their level and open the doors... it wasn't responding. he looked up at the display that was above the elevator doors, which showed what floor the cabin was currently on... and the screen was black. completely dead. "Professors, looks like we'll have to get to the atrium another way... are there any more elevators on this level?" Rowan answered. "No... I believe this is sub level J-2... which was actually abandoned during the bases late construction days..." Oak went a little pale at that "Wait... How could this possibly be J-2? how could the elevator have taken us here, this whole level was supposed to have been sealed off after the incident that took place... there is supposed to be no possible way into or out of it..." Rowan shook his head as he responded "I don't know, old friend... but either way, this is it... I am sure of it." the conversation was interupted as a wrench flew through the air out of the darkness and nearly hit Rowan, who managed to duck in the nick of time, dropping his end of the crate containing the rail gun but managing to prevent his skull from being cracked by the projectile. he stood back up slowly... he looked to oak as a clanging sound came from further down the hall where the wrench landed. "Who... who threw that... who could've?" Oak grew a little paler "I don't know... and I don't really care to find out." just then a loud banging sounded from somewhere down the hall, startling all three men...

Under the Hill - Second Circle: Lust
Sutoratosu replied to Notus's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Ethic cut into a Loving Dead furiously as it tried to grab for him as he passed by on his run up the stair case, the blow sending the thing off balance and tumbling of the structure, falling to the stones of the gardens far below. he ran farther and farther up, trying to reach the top in as little time as possible. He dodged more of the fiends as they tried to catch him on the way up, hearing behind him as Lucian followed behind and dispatched them with Man Without Honor and pushed them off the stair case to clear a way for Kenny and Byron behind them. he only stopped when he heard a tearing sound from up above, looking up the stair way to see as a familiar man stepped out from the tear in the air, his suit crisp as he strut out before Ethic with a confident smirk on his face. "Why, Hello, Ethic, strange seeing you here." Ethic let out a sigh... he didn't have the time for idle chit-chat... he looked up past where Maxwell stood, blocking his way. he could see the top of the stairs... he was half-way there "Oh, don't worry about time, this will be quick and simple" said Maxwell, tucking his hands into the pockets of his business suit. "Ethic looked behind him as Kenny and Lucian and Byron were coming up the stair following him. he turned back to Maxwell... "Fine, get on with whatever it is that can't wait..." Maxwell glanced off behind him towards the top of the stair as he spoke "Alright then, Ethic, do you officially declare war of the Arcane Council?" Ethic looked at Maxwell puzzled where the hell did that question come from? Didn't I already do that when I killed Scott and Rodric...? Ethic was about to respond with a cryptic answer, say he'd only do what he needed to protect himself from them... when he felt a surge of anger suddenly rise to the surface. he closed his mouth before he could speak, glaring at Maxwell... You want to know if I'll declare war, you moron? He answered Vehemently, the rage in his voice palpable compared to the relative calm he was in a few moments ago when the conversation started. "Yeah, on all you inhuman bastards... Your reigns are up, time for someone else to come along and take power..." He raised his sword aggresively towards Maxwell, griping the hilt with both hands. "Someone who want go abusing it... someone who doesn't go and try to wipe people from existence for completely circumstantial shit. You started this, so don't be surprised. I told you all that what happened couldn't have possibly been my fault, but you didn't give a damn, you send a hit team for me..." a cruel grin spread on his face as he recalled how he had overcome both his would be murderers "Bet you all were surprised when I took out both of them like it was nothing... one was foolish while using his ability... and the other wasn't so strong when the shoe was on the other foot." Maxwell stared into Ethic's eyes, smiling ominously "Yes, very good... but yes or no, Ethic, Do you declare war?" "Yes," Ethic said, annoyed now "I freaking declare war on the Arcane Council and anyone who works for their interest. I'm going to destroy each and every last one of you... and i'm going to make it as humiliating as possible, and then when your statues appear in my dark space, I'll smash them to pieces and further desecrate your bodies by burning you all in a mass grave. then I'll crucify what's left, and I'll put all the Latin crosses upside-down so that your feet point up to the sky and your heads point down towards hell. Is that what you fucking wanted to hear, Maxwell...?" Maxwell stifled a laugh... he was obviously quite happy about something right now... but Ethic didn't care, he just wanted to get up these damn stairs. "alright then, Ethic, it's official... you have very much declared war now." Maxwell stepped back into the rift without another word after that, still laughing for some reason. ============================ he sealed the rift and began walking back up the illuminated path towards the Arcane Sanctum, speaking to himself as he walked alone in the darkness. "Oh, yes, Ethic... That went even better than I had hoped... that was no declaration of war! that went far beyond simple war... that was the plotting of complete genocide that you outlined. Seems you had no idea I was poking around n your emotions... but either way, that's how you feel in your soul..." He stopped laughing as he neared the bright door to the sanctum, materializing a tape recorder and pushing the play button on it, playing back exactly what Ethic had said moments ago. "The Council will be trying to come at you in waves now that you've proven yourself such a deadly threat by killing those two idiots and saying all this... which will move everything along much faster for me..." with that he walked through the door way ===================================== Ethic ground his teeth as Maxwell left... he found that right now he for some reason wished he'd taken a swing at him with his sword... then as quickly as the anger had come, it faded away, leaving him in the same state of mind before Maxwell had appeared. He looked to lucian, who was now a few feet further behind Ethic than he had been during the conversation. "What did I just do?" he asked "I... don't really know... " Lucian said "But Maxwell was happy about something you were saying... which probably isn't good... and Ethic," Lucian pointed the somewhere behind Ethic "Behind you, to the left." Ethic knew it was a Loving Dead the moment the smell of blood and the moaning hit him. he brought the sword around in a long horizontal arc, slicing it across the chest before kicking it and sending it tumbling off the stair case. he looked up at the goal... and smiled as he saw that the Stair further up was completely clear. without a word more about the encounter with Maxwell, he again took off, dashing for the top with Lucian in tow, though now the magus kept a noticeable distance from him... -
