  1. So, the fucker was just going to stay back there while he sent his man servant ahead to die alone? Typical, but Cade felt her disgust for the man grow regardless. "Rayne," She called, leaving the cover of the woods. "You see that Wandrought further down south? Fancy armor, nice spear, with a particularly shit-eating grin on his ugly mug? I think it's about time we put an end to this coup, if you... catch my meaning. And you, BARD!" she turned her attention to Beef, not a whole lot of concern on her face as she passed the wounded man by "Be ready, and stay close. If things don't quite work out, we'll be needing your help..." And with that, she moved into position... twas a risky ploy, but one that could well pay off in the end. Move to Q11, and Stare down the Baron in contempt
  2. "Alright, well just take it easy for now, alright?" She noted the boy's wincing as he'd sprang up, but in all honesty, it could only be expected- last time had been proof enough. He wasn't about to kick the bucket anymore, and that's what really matter in the end. In fact, speaking of ends, Cadence just to notice... a particularly smug-looking wandrought approaching from the south- the baron fuckboi, perhaps...? -accompanied by some mounted lackey, not unlike all the others they'd struck down already. It was time to end this mess. "So yeah... stay here, okay?" was the last thing she said as she left the boy's side, taking out her knife... "This will all be over soon...just more wandrought who needs to die, and the rest will scatter..." Move to N9, Equip Iron Knife
  3. Noble's Quarters Ghost simply walked out of the room and past the man without another word. Once she had disappeared into the other room, yet another bout of song began, muffled by the surroundings but a few snippets still just barely audible to Masaru, this one's tone and melody far different from the last: The same golden aura poured out of the room, as the door itself began to become lost in the sacred light- as if whatever she did now, she projected it on a wider scale than just the bed frame and mattress. Before long however, the glow faded once more, and in the doors place, still slightly ajar, lay a solid slab of pure oak, it's woodwork just as exquisite as the lute the woman had played, it's gilded door knob shining softly in the light of the mystic torches lining the corridor. Ghost however, was nowhere to be seen once the song ended and the aura receded... but what there was, was a dull thud, and the whine of springs compressing in on themselves. Perhaps because of the fact that she'd passed out rather unceremoniously right onto the newly restored bedframe and mattress...not even a moment after she'd gotten done with her work. Tama simply looked on, sighing in his mild annoyance. He'd told her so...and he had been exactly right.
  4. The ribbons quickly begin to burn with a pale, silver light as Aurora continues, eyes flaring a little as the first few strands are finished and laid out coiled on the table. Soon enough, she'd finished a good dozen or so, all of the same length, coiled up into a neat pile. The silver light died as the last of them had been woven, all now glinting with a silvery white tint, pure, polished Platinum, one might've compared their hue to. And just as the Gorgon had requested, each of them was as wide as one of Aurora's hands "The beast hadn't quite eaten anything Silver I'm afraid..." she began, folding her arms against her chest now that the task was done, "Red, blue, yellow... only the dyes the dragon had given her... but, with a bit of tweaking which specific kinds of light they reflected, it was easy enough to fix that..." This of course, shouldn't have been too surprising, given the very shard of crystal embedded in her palm literally functioned off honing celestial light into a deadly weapon...and the Spider's own light displays and healing bursts of radiance various times before.
  5. "Yes, yes, is there any particular color you want?" The spider sighed as a few strands of silk ejected from her wrist, caught by the deft fingers of her opposite hand as she began to weave. Quick, smooth motions, forming the basic structure of the ribbons as she waited for any particular request, if there was one.
  6. Kitchen The spider winced at the sudden... extraction method used to get the Gorgon's snakes to comply. Slowly but surely, she was beginning to truly question just who she'd gotten involved in. With the pan before her though, she simply opened her jaws wide and let her own fangs deploy- a pair of pure black, dagger-like needles with hollow tips that gleamed under the light -and dripped a few drops of her standard formula into the bubbling mess. There was no need to be fancy with it, after all, even if she could more or less concoct any type of toxic cocktail she so desired...
  7. Kitchen "I... see then..." Aurora said, unable but to still scratch her head a little. She... supposed it could be useful, if it truly were as capable as the elemental claimed, but personally she saw little reason why her silk alone wouldn't suffice to accomplish the same ends. Regardless, she simply shrugged as the strange duo continued their mad cooking efforts...she supposed giving a bit of venom and silk wouldn't hurt, anyway. Noble Quarters "Of...fucking...course..." Ghost muttered at the sight of the destroyed bed frame. Her eyes glittered with scarlet light as she walked past Masaru into the room however. She was done fucking around in this sham of a fortress, and she'd spent no more time searching for a half-decent place to even sleep. Perhaps it was time to take things into her own hands- it was obvious someone needed to restore this god forsaken place, all of it. Just as she had told Vora earlier though, it would most definitely take quite a bit of effort. but... "Looks like I've little choice here. The entire place is a wreck, and there's obviously not much left worth salvaging... I was going to... look into this option more once I had the chance to actually rest and think about things... screw it though-" she reached out a single hand to her side, the air seeming to shimmer as an invisible rift opened just before her touch, and she plunged her arm into the tear within the reality of this realm, appearing to Masaru as if she'd just reached into thin air and made her entire arm vanish without explanation. The next moment, she pulled something out of the pocket space, letting the rift seal behind it as the object settled in her hands. A Lute, Masaru might've recognized it as. And an ornate one at that, beset with small, glowing crystals giving off a gold light, exquisite wood work and engravings, depicting a battle of some ancient and fierce beings- 108 of them in fact, each one looking like some bizarre fusion of both common and exotic beasts, and a few even bearing human faces. Ghost strummed a single string, giving a shrill whistle and in that same instant, the very air around her seemed to fill with a gold aura as the instrument gave off a far deeper, more reverberated tone than what it should've been capable of. A vibe pulsed through the air with the sound, as if it were touched with the vigor of lightning, and the woman strummed yet another chord, filling the air with yet more energy as her voice idly hummed, and the crystals lining her instrument pulsated in an even, steady pattern. Finally however, her idle humming turned into actual song, as her hands continued to work the Lute: The aura of gold around her only expanded as the melody played on. The broken and worthless remains of the bed frame- and much of the area immediately surrounding it for that matter -began to burn with the same energy, surging, wild and unbound. Ghost continued playing, eyes shut in concentration, searching, shifting through the very sands of time itself, reaching out with intuition and instinct to find a form, any form, that the frame had known before- it mattered not how long ago, so long as it was a better form than what it knew now. Slowly but surely, the broken wood and rusted nails began to lose their current shape as the light surrounding them grew, morphing, coalescing as the woman reached out and took hold of the former glory they had once known. Before long, the broken components reemerged from their fiery aura of gold. No longer the shattered remains of old furniture, but a sturdy set of bed posts with a solid frame held in between them, still missing a mattress to go onto said frame, but at least whole again. Ghost slowed her strumming, and her voice with it. Until both came to a halt, and the golden energy swirling all throughout the chamber with them, receding back towards the woman and filling her body with a pale glow that eventually, died as well. Ghost turned back to look at Masaru, her eyes finally starting to show the true extent of her cumulative exhaustion now, but her face itself unreadable as she simply said "I'm... pushing further than I know I should in this state, expending more power than I should... but I suppose I don't have a choice if I want to actually... get some sleep. Fuck it... show me whatever room you'll be taking, might as well kill two birds while I'm at this...you'll have to take care of getting a mattress on your own though." "I cannot help but question the wisdom of all this, Alba. The spider already sent her regards about how she was rather.... miffed with you, didn't she? If you collapse now-" "I'm not on the verge of death anymore, you damn fool. If I collapse, it's fine, I'll just wake up sooner or later... you can only know what true eternity feels like once you've touched Oblivion..."
  8. ~Kitchen~ "What is this... 'Duct Tape'?" before she could get an answer though, already the Gorgon was busy... wait, why the hell was she digging around in the trash? What was she doing with those bones- oooookay then. Into the pot apparently... "Let me guess," the spider sighed "you going to be doing of this Alchemy, aren't you? It's fascinating and all, but... My head's still spinning a bit just from watching it the last time, even after your friend explained it in a bit better detail..."
  9. "I've already spent enough of my life crammed into a barracks with no privacy, the other bedrooms I've already found are so damn small, it would be like sleeping in a prison cell every night, and I honestly just want to find a bed that's still at least half-decent to lay myself down and finally get this day other with..." Hmmm... perhaps the gripe in her voice towards the end was a bit much, but she didn't really care in hindsight. The events of the past... not even 24 hours were already weighing like a sack of bricks on her shoulders, and the man had asked the question to begin with. She sighed, continuing "I suppose I won't find anything in much better condition than what I have already, given the general state of this place. But I'd at least appreciate enough space to actually walk in without hitting either wall in just two or so paces, if nothing else..."
  10. -Noble's Quarters- Ghosts shook her head, sighing for a moment. It seemed that perhps there was a bit more truth to how Aurora had described some in the group earlier than she thought, but with something as eclectic as this place appeared to be, it was to only be expected there would be a few difficult fuckers among them. The problems only really started to get bad when everyone and everyone's mother decided to act like it though... a lone offender could be dealt with easily enough, she knew that much from how she'd sent Rodryc's sorry ass right back to answer to Jehena. "Hmmm. Andre, was it? I'll try and keep that in mind then; but he'll find out fast enough that I neither need nor will use my fists if he starts anything...hopefully it won't become an issue though." looking over the man's scorched attire and the deep scowl still etched on his face once more though, she soon decided perhaps it was best to change the obviously touchy subject. "Anyway, I suppose introductions are in order. I'm called Ghost these days; not a name I chose, but one that fits well enough, more or less. And you?"
  11. "I suppose... you could say that." Ghost said simply. She hadn't exactly intended to engage in much more conversation than she already had this day, all things considered she just wanted to sleep. the mention of something 'unpleasant' coupled with the singe marks the man's gear bore and the smell still faintly wafting off him though, could not help but arouse further curiosity... "Might I ask just what this unpleasant thing you've found was, though? Something lurking around the keep? Or..." Even as she spoke the idea, she wished she'd not had it in the first place. Yes, yes, that would be just fucking great if the place was somehow cursed or had some type of overly aggressive guardian hiding somewhere, on top of everything else...
  12. -Le Kitchen- "Hmm... I suppose so," Aurora said "Still, who could the flesh bag have been talking about, back on the barren world? As as chaotic and dysfunctional as a few in this group can be, it would certainly have helped to have some type of adviser right from the very beginning to sort things out... wonder what must've happened, to make it so she wasn't there to meet us like he'd been expecting her too..." -Le Barracks- Ghost lay staring at the ceiling in one of the spartan bunks of the soldier's quarters. The digging hadn't been terribly hard- even with Tama Vajra at her beck and call, there had still been many times when she'd taken to battle with just her own armaments and skills- sometimes out of the practicality, there were some foes who simply were too small and pathetic to bother evoking a Deva against, other times out of principle. One way or another, not shying away from fighting her own duels every once in awhile and the rigors of travel had kept her fit enough to do even hard labor without difficulty. That and the fact that she had hardly done any real "Digging" anyway, as much as she'd simply destabilized the sand here and there with a few shovel scoops, then had used her Mati to take care of the rest. The flashes of memory had calmed at some point during the work- when, she had not noticed. Twas good though, that had been the whole point, to distract, to put aside that which she could not change right now. She finally sat up on the bunk, looking around the place. Just as dilapidated as everything else, but Ghost could easily imagine what it had been like when the fort was still under original occupation- spartan, practical, no more amenities than was needed- back in Sumur, that had constituted a place to lay one's head a single trunk or chest to store one's equipment, for most Garrisons. Seemed the original occupants shared the same philosophy. But... she could not stay here. Well, she could, but she honestly didn't want to. She'd spent enough days in barracks during her training days with the legion, so many years ago. Hand-to-hand and armed Combat first, Voice second, Deva Last, that had always been how the Callers of Night had trained their conscripts, and in all honesty up until the moment one either graduated the basic training with honor or died in the process, there was little to separate them from a common legionnaire, even with the distinction being a Godspeaker brought. Just the way the empire had worked, really, all warriors required to pass the first few hurdles regardless of talent, and as much complaint as it might've garnered from officers over the generations, Ghost herself had to admit- the philosophy ensured a solid base of quality in troops... something which she came to curse once she was no longer on the same side of battlefields as them... Regardless, she shook the thought out of her head and got up. It was time to find more fitting quarters, surely there had to be somewhere here where the old rulers of the fort and their closest men stayed...
  13. "...a group like ours?" The spider's mind started whirring almost immediately, as she cocked her head in even deeper thought than before. Already, the memory of the dying fleshbag with all the armor and weapons sticking out of him flashed across her mind "Just what was this group like then, by chance? Were there any flesh-bags in it who had brown hair, golden eyes? Perhaps took to dressing in plate armor with an apparent penchant for not dying despite suffering many open wounds? He mentioned something about a... 'her' who was supposed to have been guiding us, we never met anyone who seemed to fit and he never explained that particular bit either... is it supposed to be you then?"
  14. ~In the Kitchen~ "Kept killing... her servants, eh?" Aurora trailed off with the thought. Gods know how many of the Arcadians they'd killed since they'd gotten out of the underdark and to the surface, the arrogant fuckers just seemed to keep coming and coming and coming... always a group of holy knights or clergy or champion spouting the bullshit dogma of his goddess in that strange, choppy holy tongue they used that only Ajax was able to understand, and even then only because he was capable of ripping the thoughts right out of their minds before they had even formed. But alas, it seemed there was an endless amount of fools serving whatever god held patronage over that old empire... fitting, given all the other interactions she'd had with human forces suggesting the exact same quality- they fucked like rabbits, popped out young just as quickly, and when they really wanted to kill something, could cooperate even better than ant colonies...Castle Dour had proven that. By the time Dackley finished her explanation, Aurora had began pondering the fate of the others again, only brought back to reality as the spear faded "Hmmm? oh, what, yes, yes, of course, paladins dying..." she muttered idly... searching for something to change the subject though, she soon spotted the reforged emblem sitting on the table; the fresh product of that fever dreamish process she'd been witness to only a few minutes prior. Aurora picked it up, noticing a little bit of reassuring heft despite it's small size... almost as if there quite literally more to the contraption than met the eye: Aurora picks up the former Wolf's Brooch, now newly transformed into the Dacian Draco Emblem. "This... is quite something..." she commented, actually at a loss for words. Mostly because it still fascinated her just what the two had done to recreate it in the first place "This... special type of Alchemy though, where did you two learn it? I've never seen any type of magic quite... like it before."
  15. "Never heard of a Goddess named Nyx," Aurora shook her head, "from the sounds of it though, she seems similar to... what was it they worshipped in Dour?" She put a hand to her chin, trying to shift through the scattered, fragmented memories still left to her name "Hmmm... Noctus? Noctune? Oh, wait, Nocturne. That was the one. He's the only god of night I've heard of. Always attributed with being the patron of monsters, or some such nonsense..."
  16. ~The Kitchen~ The goddess had listened intently as the earth elemental explained the process in a bit more detail. She was still perplexed by the absurdity of it all, but ultimately shrugged her shoulders and let the duo finish their work- now at least, it made some sense to her. Not much, but even with her fractured memories, she recalled the concepts of sigils and symbolics being used for many things. And the golem had been right, she'd seen a few humans blow themselves up on accident... ah, the powder, what a terrible thing to forget you still have all over your hands and clothes when you light the fuse... Before Aurora could really respond to the Golem's request after the work was finished though, he was gone. Oh yes, the fiery fleshbag- come to think of it these two had dragged her out of the room so fast she'd only had time to administer healing to the Gorgon. Again though, the duo had proved their strangeness- potions and brews were one thing, but... would that literal plate of food actually regenerate her wounds? Well... perhaps... they had obviously done something to it with their power's just now. Again, the Goddess merely shrugged, firing a single burst of starlight at Dackly from her eyes. Rather than regenerate wounds though, hopefully the Gorgon would start to sober up. It had always perplexed Aurora how other beings took just a few swigs of alcohol and within due time, they'd always be flat on their asses acting like fools... "Come now, up, you can't be that hammered..." But I certainly feel like I am, after watching all that fever dreamish chaos...
  17. Aurora simply looks on in a mix of utter perplexion and stunned silence as the Gorgon continues to... work(?). She... had never quite seen anything like... well, this, from what she could remember- which wasn't much. What with most of herself gone, all she could really recall was a few flashes of the war and then some of the years inside the castle sewers... fast forwarding to sometime after... whatever she'd done or been through occurred and ajaxed had finally given up trying to reverse it himself. Still, that was saying quite a lot. The humans of her realm had proven themselves capable of... many an insane idea more than a few times she could recall. Building an entire army to march into the very heart of the Monstrous World and try to destroy it from within had been just one of the them. "Uh huh, I see...." She muttered in response to the drunk Dackley, unable but to think to herself all the while "Perhaps this might've been a mistake..."
  18. "I've... seen the orc carrying various supplies into a particular room off the main hall, lots of things." The spider paused, trying to recall all the times she'd spied from the rafters as the green man and several others had come and gone into the room with raw supplies and spare gear and the like "If you go out of this door and take...a right, that's where I've seen him disappearing off too, always making odd noises and racket, not that anyone else here has hearing good enough to pick it up..." As she spoke, one of the spider's eyes briefly flashed with an emerald light, showering the Gorgon in a breif sheet of celestial radiance and warmth. Within moments, her wounds began to visible recede as the energy went to work reversing the damage...
  19. "I..." The spider takes a moment or three to collect herself, as if transported to another realm entirely before Dackly's offer brings her back to reality. With another glance down at the melted slag, she finally gives a slow nod. "I don't even know why... she kept it all this time, she's... still alive, it's not as though-" perhaps the less... refined entity that her other self had become knew something she did not, all this time. Perhaps those heightened senses could reach even beyond the fabric seperating whole worlds and even so far removed, she had felt the girl's demis- no. No. The True Aurora shook her head, eyes burning as lone tear, rogue and unbidden from his brethren, fell upon the slag, hissing against the still hot surface, and she quite literally banished the offending thought from her mind, the very idea vanishing in a burst of energy. She reached out and handed the ruined bauble to the gorgon "but... yes... if... you'd be willing, and you have the power- then... please. Of course, I will not let such a favor go... without repayment. I can heal you in return...I was likely going to end up doing it anyway, given I seem the only one here who can."
  20. Engine room "Never been there, I'm afraid..." The spider says idly as she rolls the decree up and sticks it in her sleeve "Ironic, given how much food the animal has been hoarding...or perhaps it's precisely because of that-" as she spoke, an audible racket filled the room as the sound of metal hissing and popping resounded and echoed off the engine and the metal walls. A small, iridescent light shined from something on Aurora's shoulder, as the splitting echo continued, and before long, whatever it was finally gave way from it's pin and fell to the floor. Fire and Light bloomed forth from the small badge, the holy energies of the fused attack only moments ago still coursing through every atom of it's structure. Finally though, the radiance ceased, and all that lay on the floor was a broken brooch, the effigy of what was once a wolf etched into it's surface, now melted and scorched beyond all recognition. Aurora's face darkened as she picked it up with one of her fore legs, using the other hold her robes in place while a one hand spun the necessary silk to keep it together without the pin. Something stirs in her eyes, as the leg drops the fragments into her free hands. Somehow, watching the thing break was... deeper than a mere object being ruined. No, no, for some reason... it had felt as though she'd lost something greater. Someone greater... someone who had counted on her... trusted her... "...Sylvi"
  21. With the threat properly neutralized, Aurora released her grasping hold of the animalistic instinct that had driven her up till no slowly receded it's grasp on her mind. Her eyes slowly but surely began to lose their pure, glossed over silver in favor of their normal distinction between Iris, Sclera, and Pupil, and the patterns on her back dying down. The cosmic radiation she gave off decreased significantly, as she felt her senses dull back down- not by terribly much, considering their already considerable base level, but enough for her to register the change regardless. And with the receding instinct came the very voice which the spider had sought at the beginning of the fight, but had been met with silence...as her irises morphed even further from silver to green "That ought make a nice example of what happens to vicious little stowaways..." The Godling chuckled as she moved closer to the remains of the Sneak "Poor bastard probably snuck in sometime while we were still on the barren world... there were many, many more wretches who felt all too similar to his presence there... not like it matters now though. Seems I was right to let the beast handle this battle... quite impressive, infact, better than I think I could've done..." with that, she picked up one the strange, golden slips of paper. Though at first, her eyes found the text indecipherable, soon enough the ink slowly began to merge and shift as if afloat on the tides, reacting to the latent energies of her Godspark. The spider soon looked up and around at the others, before finally focusing on the Fiery Flesh-bag she'd found in the bedrooms earlier. "Well... this is certainly... interesting, to say the least..." Aurora picks up x1 of the Divine Decrees
  22. Aurora 42/42 Aurora uses a basic attack [4d4+Str((10)), Light-based Damage]. This basic attack is further augmented by 25% due to Radiant Shard's effect against Enemies who are suffering from statuses:
