Under the Hill - First Circle: Judgement
Sutoratosu replied to Notus's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
"Why are you here Mr. Ytilarom, and what do you desire from this place?" Ethic answered the question. "Your honor, for the past year or so, I have wondered the land, driven away from my home due a... series of disagreements with my father. I have been searching for anyway to restore my family's business from the state my father has dragged it into. One day, I heard of this hill on the news while sitting in a cafe eating breakfast." The Arcana burned in this man's presence, but Ethic ignored it and continued his testimony. "I thought that If the rumor of the power beneath it was true, I'd be able to indeed restore the family finances to it's lost glory. I gathered information, and set out, arriving here a few hours ago. I desire either of two things from this place, Your honor. the power lying beneath it, or anything of possible large monetary value, Either of which I think would allow me to accomplish my goal." The Cards burned even hotter, they seemed not to like the judge. All 22 of them actually attempted to activate themselves, but Ethic put all his power into holding them back, denying the Tarot the co-operation that was needed to invoke them. He looked up at the Judge. "That is why I'm here, your honor, and thats what I desire from this place." He waited for the judge's response. -

Ethic woke from his sleep at the sound of a gavel hitting a wood table. He opened his eyes, looking around and knowing that he was no longer in the library, but in some type of court room. the same thunderous voice from when he entered the library sounded. Well, guess this is what they meant by court... "Now it's your turn, Ethic Ytilarom." He presumed that this meant it was his turn to be examined. he got to his feet, surprised that all pain had fled his body. He looked up at the Judge's podium. He remembered the warning before. and that was fine, because Ethic wasn't a guy who was very fond of lies, and didn't intend to tell any. "Very well then, your honor." He said "I'm ready." -

Ethic watched, still sprinting for his life, as Ixidor suddenly flew through the air, the skeletal horse fading to nothing underneath the boy, sending him flying into a book case. Ethic slowed as he saw his friend ejected, then stopped when he saw him impact the book case, sending wood and books flying, many of them... landing open... The shelf itself was split in half. He felt fear and dread creeping in as he realized the likely fate of his friend. the stomping sounded again as a familiar foe gained ground.... The hulking shade chasing him closed in, bringing down it's massive fist upon Ethic... only to be blocked. ---------------------------------------- Ethic didn't even have to exert much effort directing them, the 56 lesser arcana responded to his energy easier than before, flying out of his Jacket and forming a barrier in the air behind him, keeping the Shadow from grounding him to bits. They spun and resonated in the air, glowing with friction as they deflected the giant's fist. Ethics entire body glowed white. Fear and Grief gave way to anger. PURE HOT ANGER. THE KIND THAT STARTS WARS AND RIOTS. He was just a kid... He shouldn't have been down here... He shouldn't have had to face this place... He shouldn't have died.... Ethic played this thought process in his head over and over again. Blaming himself, Afterall, he'd said he'd watched the kid's back, but where was he when the boy obviously needed someone to watch his back. NOWHERE. That's where. He yelled out in fury as he switched the cards over from acting as a barrier, and into an offensive force. "He didn't deserve to die!!" He controlled the cards, sending them into a frenzy and tearing and hacking at the Giant. His left arm burned and screamed with pain with every. single. swing. it felt as if it were tearing itself out of it's socket. The creature screamed and howled in pain as he continued his assault, each blow from the Glowing cards doing more and more damage. His arm felt like it was going to completely give out for good, but Ethic honestly didn't give a damn about the pain, he keep cutting and hacking away at the giant, until there was nothing left of it. He ran over the the wreckage, digging through the wood and books to find the young artist, knowing that he had a very short while before the shadows would come. finally, he found Ixidor, and to his relief, he was not dead, just seemingly unconscious. just as hoards of shadows emerged from the books that had fallen. he knew that even with his rage blocking out the pain of doing it, he could not fight them. there were far more than he had faced along with the giant. before him truly stood a mob. He and Ixidor had only one chance of survival (* Typhlosion, Hope you don't mind Ethic moving him somewhere abit safer...) He picked him up and carried the young boy across his shoulders, somewhat like a sack of flour. he put his focus into the Chariot. "Number 7." He called The two seemed to become lighter than air as they retreated away from the wreck of the book shelve, flying through various aisle and finally landing on a top of a bookshelf far from the wreckage. Ethic felt the consequences immediately, knowing then that he hadn't even fully recovered from the last invocation, he expected something bad. He dropped Ixidor on the wooden surface of the top of the bookshelf, then collapsed as his body was no longer able to keep up with the demands he had put it through. Damn it... I'm pushing way too hard now... his limbs burned and ached. his lungs worked as hard as they could. he lay there, hovering in between conscious and unconscious, the only sound he could hear was his own rapid heart beat... -
Didn't see a game for it already so... The game is relatively simple, State what Twelve people/ figures from any point in history( or pop-culture) you would have around your last supper table. Include the reason why if you want.

Depends, Is it a war primarily being fought on land? Also, those options...

Ray heard Clint's question. Actually, Clint, yes, there is a way to heal the Onix formerly known as Pipmin. A machine back at the base. I'll run her through it we're back at base, but it may take a while before she's healed. With that, he headed over to the center of the clearing. and again addressed the group "All right, everyone, Into the Transport, time to head back!!"

Under the Hill - First Circle: Judgement
Sutoratosu replied to Notus's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Ethic was awakened from his slumber in the space on the bookshelf by the sound of... well, of all things... Hooves. horse hooves, which seemed incredibly out of place for a library. He leaned out a little to see what was going on, just in time to see young Ixidor fly right by him, on the back of a... Skeletal horse. "Well...This just adds a new level of weird to this place..." Ethic said. The sound of flapping pages caught his attention next, as the horse skeleton galloped further down the aisle with his friend on it's back, apparently trapped to it somehow, then disappeared from view. "son of a..." He looked down to see several of the books had been flung upon by the gust created by the Horses speed. He leaped off the shelf and hit the ground, moving fast as he could. he had to clear alot of books from the shelf to make space for himself, and they all were open now, all of them about to spawn shadows. He jumped to the nearest one, but something caught him by the collar. ---------------------- He flung himself out of his jacket, hitting the ground and rolling away from whatever had grabbed him. Standing there was a huge shadow, at least six foot ten inches and with incredibly broad shoulders. It reached out for Ethic again, tossing his jacket aside, Ethic could see claws on it's black hands. He leapt away, consequently knocking into another shadow, this one spawned by the books that had recently been opened by the horse's passage. He elbowed it on reflex, his arm going straight through it. but the thing pushed him away back towards the behemoth shade, Ethic;s elbow apparently having done no damage what so ever. He managed to duck just as the giant swung both it's fist in a mighty horizontal arc, luckily, the thing wasn't very fast. Damn... this is bad... I can't fight them, not without Final Judgement... Or... Can I? Ethic knew that what he did now would be a life or death moment. He dashed straight towards the giant, actually surprising the inky phantom. it stood there dumbfounded by it's prey's sudden burst of courage. Ethic burst right through it to the other side, just as he had hoped would happen. with himself no longer surrounded, he could focus on offense. He was about to focus his power when the behemoth unexpectedly moved at an alarming speed. Ethic stood still, expecting to burst right through it like last time, but lo and behold, he found himself being picked up and toppled through the air like a rag doll, the wind knocked right out of his lungs.he landed on the ground even harder. A wave of shadows descended on him from above, twenty, no, thrity, all of their claws and eyes glaring in the light... Ethic closed his eyes, accepting defeat... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Just then the Final Judgement arcana, followed by all the other major arcana, flowed out of Ethic's jacket that lay on the ground, flying through the air, just as a burst if light followed. He sheilded his eyes. the light dimmed, he uncovered his eyes, it looked as if time had stopped, the wave frozen. He heard a lone voice boom with authority in his mind "ETHIC, REMEMBER, THE ARCANA IS YOURS TO WIELD." the air started shimmering, and the wave began to fall upon him once again; what ever the time effect was, it was clearly over now. Ethic didn't hesitate. That's right... it is mine... He pooled as much concentration and focus as he could, then flung out his will and summoned his Tarot to him, to his surprise, it wasn't the major 22 arcana that came this time, but the 56 lesser. he didn't feel the same latent power in these as he did in the major arcana, far less in fact, but he knew they still had their uses. they flew across the Aisle, circling around him, as he focused his conscious on one specific group of cards, flinging them outward. There was a burst of light as the cards ignited in white energy, the same that now cloaked Ethic's hand. he said a single word: "NO." They flew outward like a knife, cleanly cutting through some of the shadows descending, their cries of agony sounding as they were destroyed. Ethic sprang to his feet, losing himself in a frenzy. sending out his will and taking control of the lesser arcana, wielding them as blades of his power, cutting through the shadows one by one, Hacking through the mob, laughing... The slaughter was soon other. the only shade still standing was the behemoth... But Ethic was in no condition to fight it now. His arm felt as if he had swung a sword a thousand times, though he hadn't moved it once while wielding the cards. His shoulder also burned with stress. "So..." He said "Looks like the lesser ones aren't useless after all, but it looks like controlling them has the same effect on me as the major ones do..." he moved his arm a little and winced at the muscle tension. "enough, there's no way I can beat you like this..." He said, looking at the massive shadow "Shoulda killed you first, then gotten away..." He called back the energy he had been channeling through the cards. they stopped hovering in the air and feel to the floor. he sent energy to them again, this time collecting them in a neat deck in his hand. In response, the shade again charged. Ethic sidestepped just in the nick of time, the behemoth slaming into the book case behind him... Ethic knew this was his only chance, he grabbed his coat and bagged from the floor and sprinted away as fast as he could, his arm and shoulder being jarred with every single step. He could hear Shadow thundering behind him. He increased his speed, but the shade was gaining, little by little... Ethic kept running, but knew he would have to stop soon. That's when he again spotted the Skeletal steed, still racing down the aisle with Ixidor hanging on for dear life. He didn't like that horse's look, but It may damn well have been his only option to live... He called out, as loud as he could, not worrying what type of psychopaths might hear him as well, If someone managed to face down, let alone kill the thing that was chasing him, then they deserved to be psychotic... He called out. "IXIDOOOOOOR!!!!!" hoping his young friend wasn't to far away to hear him -

Under the Hill - First Circle: Judgement

As Ethic Continued his search, He saw the Were-Rat again, running along the top off bookshelves in the distance. Something gleamed in the creature's hand, Ethic assumed it was a gun. His hand reached up to the Tarot without his direction, but he noticed and stopped himself. "the better part of Valor is discretion," He reprimanded himself, deciding to avoid any other unnecessary altercations. He continued Walking, then noticed something about one of the books on the shelf. It had his Father's name on it. He snatched the book out of the shelf, disgusted to see any reference of the man. He took out MWH and prepared to carve the name out of the binding, when he had an Idea. A rather dark Idea. He took another book from the shelf and making sure to keep them both shut, Bound the two closed with some string. He then placed the tombs in his bag. "There... These Shade creatures could be useful later on. might as well take a few with me." Gazing up at the book shelf, he got another idea. He pulled out the Chariot and the Tower, channeling Energy through them and causing them to rotate in the Air. "I'll be setting a few traps of my own now..." He invoked the Tower: "Number 16, The Tower." The card flashed silver, then disappeared. Ethic knew this was his cue to direct it's pure destructive energy. He focused it on the bookshelf before him. The Wood began to creak and crack in various places as it degradded. The ruin grew even worse as Ethic put more power into it. The wood splintered and finally the entire section of shelf collapsed to the ground under the weight of the hundreds of tombs, spilling broken wood and books onto the floor, Almost all of them fell open upon landing. Satisfied with this part down, Ethic put the next part of his plan into action before the Fatigue could hit him, as he knew it would. He Invoked the Chariot Now: "Number 7." He toke off at an insane speed, almost floating as he fleed from the pile of open books he'd just caused, he headed far enough away that he couldn't see the pile anymore, which he figured would be far enough for the Shadows not to be able to find him. he cleared some books from an upper level in one of the shelves, making sure that they didn't fall open, Then pulled himself into the hiding spot he'd just made. The fatigue hit him like a sludge hammer blow, so hard he felt his heart stop for a few moments, then start again. Completely winded, and barely able to stay awake, he knew it would be some time before he could invoke again, or move around... "Damn... Should've known it would be harsher if I used multiple cards..." With that, he resigned himself to recovering some stamina... -

Ethic stopped his thinking and looked up for a moment. "Oh, that's just freaking Great!" He said, realizing that pretty much everyone had disappeared somewhere while he had been thinking, including the Were-Rat, of whom Ethic could find no sign of. Somehow, He had been so Engrossed that he missed EVERYTHING that had been going on around him He walked down to Isle, the Cards still trailing behind him and glowing with heat. they seemed to be even hotter now than before, apparently raising their heat levels to match just how much Ethic was pissed at himself. "How the hell did I manage to not notice the entire group leaving off somewhere?" he asked himself harshly. It was then that the Hermit Arcana flew right before his face, almost as if demanding to be invoked. "Fine, Whatever, I don't really care." He concentrated his energy on the hermit. "Number 9," He said, rather Apathetically. "The Hermit." The Card blazed white and rushed to Ethic's face, his Vision engulfed in light, then refocusing. He found that he was no longer looking at the Aisle he was in, but somewhere farther in the Library, there was a lone man making his way through the lonely Aisle. Ethic had a feeling he'd seen him before... Another of the crazy people I saw enter... the Vision then zipped back from the stranger through the rest of the library and back to his own Aisle. He suddenly had the feeling that whoever that person was, He was headed this way, and didn't have good intentions. The Hermit raced away from Ethic's Eye's, rejoining the other arcana circling around him. They all stopped glowing and dropped straight to the marble floor as Ethic felt some of his Physical reserve ebb away, but not nearly as bad as last time. And without the bloody coughing fit. He forced himself to focus oncemore, The cards again began floating as he channeled his energy through them again. He ordered them back inside of his Jacket pocket, and they went there without hesitation, automatically arranging themselves in the correct order. "Great, another Crazy Guy I'll probably have to meet eventually..." He looked around, noticing that Kenny was gone as well "Where the hell did Kenny go? Wasn't he fighting or something?" He looked around once more. there was no sign of Kenny either. "Whatever. the task of finding Ixidor and a way deeper into this place is alot more important than worrying about what happened to him." With that, He stepped over the fallen book case into the next Aisle, and started walking -

(Well really sorry bout that, man... Geuss that exactly describes what we did..) Ethic's thought train was again derailed by the Cards Glowing with heat... Again. "Are you freaking kidding me, What Now!? What is so damn important that you simply must tell me!?" He cried to the Arcana circling around him in the air in frustration. "Well, tell me! Don't just leave me to think about it!" He felt a bit silly for that last part. Yeah, right, like the Cards can really answer me... He thought sarcastically (...EDITs on the last several post are done. Again, really sorry about that...) -

Ethic looked up at another shelf, realizing just where the Were-Rat was now. "I don't know who you guys are, but you sure aren't nice. Maybe I have to kill you. Or I could let you live." "Oh, We're not nice?" Ethic called up to the Rat. "You're one to talk, after you tried to murder an old man!" He looked to kenny again. "I take that compliment on your aim back for now..." Ethic had seen what the crazed man would do before with mr.Taylor, that's when he realized that mr. taylor was still out in that Aisle. "Damn..." Ethic said. His cards began to fly out of his deck and circle around him as put even more energy into them. He focused on one card specifically: the Chariot. That's when the Rat man leapt to the top off the book case. "Oh HELLO BOYS!!!!!!!!!" "Sh*t!!" Cried Ethic. He redirected his focus from the Chariot arcana to the Final Judgement Arcana, hoping to get rid of Rat Man. "Let's see you fight some Angels, You Psycho-path!!" But to his chagrin, it didn't respond to his power. Almost as if refusing to. "You're kidding me, right..." He muttered That's when a blast of kinetic force send the book case knocking over. he didn't know where Rat Man had gone, but He looked over a kenny regardless "I don't know how you did that, but nice job."
