Nope. what you all will be facing, well they'll be caught with their pants down in the way of having copied the U.S. Military. In other words, most of them wont have pokemon. (I sense a slaughter not in their favor...) But who knows? maybe if the enemy gets its act together during the war, soldiers like this might start being thrown at you in droves. Or hell, maybe i'll just take this design and use it for the GAOW uniform... Also I've changed my mind on the level table in the OP. as I said before, You all will be responsible for keeping track of your partners levels. I'm afraid I simply can't police it like the U.S. does with every little conflict in the world(in other words, the thing would require constant updating, which is going to be somewhat difficult since we didn't start it earlier in the story) I changed my mind mostly because of the sheer clutter unnecessary work it would take further down the line (Everyone having a team of atleast five partners) so yeah. Everyone's responsible for keeping track of their levels. I will be policing Evolutions however. When it comes the time that a partner of yours reaches Evolution level, post what level they are, and I'll go back to verify that the level total and evolution level requirment are correct. (BTW you only get Exp/ Level up from a battle if you're victorious)

whoops, your right. Looks like I got my Dante's inferno mixed up with my Game of Thrones... if you don't feel like going through all nine, you could do something like split them into tri-sectors (Ex. Floor1-3, Floor4-6, Floor7-9) and just have the last of the last tri-sector be some type of massive guardian/boss battle/ final trial guantlet or whatever. just an idea

lols Just noticed what the title of chapter1 for the RP is. So I assume you'll be organizing the levels of the hill somewhat like in dante's inferno? (Ex. Seven circles or levels of the hill, a chapter dedicated to each level.)

"Who's there?!" he asked. he realized he had just made a loud noise in an area that was probably filled with people who wouldn't be very pleasant to meet. Where is that hill they just talked about in the news?" "I don't know nothing bout that hill..." "Yes you do. I can tell from your eyes that you're lying." At this point Ethic ha gotten feed up with the man. here was his chance to restore his family's lost glory, and this two-bit cafe owner was denying him the information he needed to seize it. he had reached across the counter and grabbed the man by the lapel. "Careful friend..." Ethic felt something poke his chest, he looked down to see the owner pressing a gun to his heart. "In this town, Entrepreneurs have the right to defend their business from robbery with lethal force. and it looks to me that you're about to do just that to my shop..." An old man had walked up and placed a hand on Ethic's shoulder. "Ytilarom..." Ethic had turned to him. "How do you know my house's name?" The elderly man had pointed to his temple "The crest boy... Every competent business man knows the crest of the Ytilarom name. they were a economic power house on the rise. they might still be, if things turn around soon... Why don't you let my friend here go. A little info isn't worth you getting killed." Reluctantly, Ethic had let go of the owner. The old man told me that only the desperate came here,that and most of them never come back out... Ethic Sheathed "Man without Honor" and hid in a small alcove in one of the shelves, making sure that he could see the boy but the young lad couldn't see him. "Might as well continue the practice of observing before interacting..." He whispered to himself "Even if he is just a kid..." Ethic once again felt heat in his pocket, he pulled out his Tarot. again it was glowing, just like in that episode at the entrance way. but at least the heat was far lower now, even somewhat comforting. He noticed something about the glow that he hadn't before: the twenty two major arcana were glowing much brighter than the fifty-two lesser, whose faint glow was probably only visible at all because Ethic was in a darkened space. "Again?" Then the glow faded. Ethic hovered his hand over the cards. he could feel far more power in them now then he had in the entry way, it was as if the tingling sensation then had turned into a torrent of steam. "I have no Idea what's going on with these things..." He placed them back in his jacket pocket, then continued his vigil of the other boy.

Ethic approached the door arc. The journey from the cafe to here had been unusually hard compared to his usual nomadic travel. mudslides, flash floods, he even once saw an eclipse on the way, though he was apparently the only one who saw it, as when he reached a town and tried to speak about it, no one remembered anything wrong with the sun like an eclipse happening that day. In mysticism, all these would be considered omens in a way. Bad omens. but Ethic was luckily not much of a mystic. well... except for the fact that he occasionally gave out tarot readings when he was strapped for cash on the road. "Well... guess this is it." He stared up at the inscription. he couldn't read whatever language it was in, but yet he suddenly... just kinda knew what it meant. Abandon all hope, ye who enter here "Dante's inferno, huh? Well then... sure hope this isn't entrance to Hell..." He reached inside a pocket in his jacket, soaked with the heavy downpour. his hand closed around his tarot deck. an old good luck routine of his. he let go of the cards in his pocket, and walked towards the vortex that was the door ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Instantly he was engulfed by utter blackness, almost as if the portal had reached out and sucked him in. "What the hell...?" He fumbled around for his flash light, when his vision adjusted a little, and he was able to see something on the floor of the inky blackness There was a path in the inky blackness before him, and what seemed to be the light of a door that stood ajar. "Good God... this is some strange stuff here..." He turned to look for the entrance, hoping it might not be too late to head back out. There was no sign of the entrance. just darkness. "That's just great." he said sarcastically. Something screeched in the darkness, it sounded like thousands of people wailing in misery. he leap backward, startled. The screams grew louder, and closer. "Sh*t! Looks like I really might have walked right through Hell's front door!" The sounds grew closer. he had but one choice. he sprinted down the path to the door. something grabbed his ankle halfway, pulling his leg out from under him and sending him to the ground. That's when the door... Leaped outward, engulfing him in a soft white light, whatever had him screeched in horrible pain as it let go. the door retracted back to its original size. he was still in darkness. He felt some heat source in his jacket pocket. it was so hot that it was stinging his skin. he reached in and felt around it's various inner pockets, finally finding the heat source and pulling it out. His Tarot deck was blazing with a hot white light, and hot to the touch. the glow intensified as he stood there, watching it in disbelief. "What...Why...How..." The door rushed out ward once more, growing closer as the tarot deck grew brighter. it engulfed him once more, he shielded his Eyes. then took away his hands. he was still standing just outside the door way. "What the hell was that!?" He looked down at his tarot deck. there was no glow coming from it now, but when Ethic placed his hand just over it he could... sense some type of power emanating from them, the feeling tingled on his finger tips. he put them back in his pocket, deciding just not to acknowledge the issue right now. "Screw this!" he said turning around and preparing to sprint away from the obviously cursed place."I'm getting out of here, there are other ways to save the family fortune!" Then he suddenly had a strange thought, a complete change of heart. No. I need to keep going. I have no choice but to keep going. He stepped back up to the arc, and entered.

Ray and Oak leaned against the same tree that Erick and Virtue where sitting under, the two of them watched Enyo's and Clint' battle unfold "Well, looks like sheer size advantage won't work for him this time" Said Ray, chuckling as Clint began to lose his smugness upon realizing that his onix was indeed fallible in battle. "Yes, which means he'll have to outsmart Enyo," Said Oak, barely paying attention to the glorified slaughter that was about to happen, he had a pretty good Idea who would be the loser of this fight. "And from the scores he got on the evaluation exam in high school, that's not very likely to happen." Surge walked over beside the two, followed by infantry. "Should we inform the fool of the whole "Affinity disposition" system?" Ray stopped chuckling as Clint's onix burrowed into the earth, dissapearing under ground. "no, no, let's just... let him figure it out on his own... I'm sure his defeat in this fight will be enough to do that." Virtue was watching the fight intently. In fact, now that Erick noticed, She had been watching all the fights so far with the same look. "You want to try out your skills too, huh?" Virtue Nodded, not taking her eyes off the altercation between Enyo's and clint's partners. "Alright then..." He looked around for a suitable opponent, but it seemed that everyone else was busy. "Oh, well, Virtue, maybe nex-" He was cut off mid-sentence as something moving at the treeline caught his attention in his periphery. he turned around and looked a little harder at the thing, thinking it was a small tree at first. But then it moved again, and it became clear it wasn't. The creature met Erick's eyes from it's place in the tree line, it's arms were up in the air trying to imitate the limbs of a tree. "That's... not a tree... Tree's don't stare at people..." Almost as is the creature heard Erick's realization, it dropped it's arms, The ruse was up. The two of them remained locked in an intense starring match for a few moments. then the creature did something strange... it inclined it's head forward, then back again, as if it was nodding at Erick, seemingly acknowledging him as having proven himself worthy by seeing through the Creature's disguise as a tree. It stepped out of the tree line, into the clearing just a few feet behind the tree, taking a defensive stance, beating it's arm across it's chest, and giving out a hearty noise that sounded like the cross between something rolling on gravel and the wind whistling. Erick stood up, a little weirded out by the Creature now. Hell, maybe it overheard that virtue wanted to fight something... "No...well...maybe," Erick looked up at the creature, and began speaking, not even sure if it was capable of understanding english. "You... are you... going to fight...?" The thing nodded once more, then beat both hands against it's chest and let out another hearty yet strange cry. Apparently it was quite capable of understanding english. "O....kay then...." Erick Looked over at Virtue. "Hey, looks like we've found an opponent..." Virtue was at Erick's side and sizing up the strange Tree-creature in an instant. She looked up at Erick, disappointment in her eyes. Really...? It's... a t...ree... "Yeah...it's a... tree, but it's a moving tree that can understand english, and thats a better opponent than nothing...." Virtue walked off back under the shaded Tree and sat back down, refusing to accept the walking tree's challenge to a fight. The tree-being let out a harsher sound this time. It sounded offended. "Well, sorry...what ever the hell you are..." He began walking back as well, when the creature cried out again. Erick turned to see it rushing towards him at a far faster speed than he thought possible for it to move, It's arm was aglow in a blazing hot white light. (Hammer arm) He put his arms up to defend himself, that's when Virtue literally appeared in front of him in a burst of light. the Ralts focused and threw up a barrier, blocking the creatures attack just as it closed in, It swung its arm around, punching the barrier so hard that Erick heard a cracking sound. the Air rippled around him and Virtue, the barrier was still holding, but virtue was having noticeable trouble keeping the thing from breaking through. Just as Erick was about to pick up Virtue and get away from the raging Tree-man, virtue's eyes blazed Scarlet, and the Tree-man was engulfed in a scarlet light and flung backwards into the undergrowth. It got up and advanced again. Virtue's Eyes blazed brighter, and the advancing being fell to it's knees, clutching it's skull in agony (Confusion). finally, Virtue released it from her telepathic hold, and it fell to all fours. then it jumped back up. Erick prepared to drop kick the thing if it tried something again, but to his surprise, it nodded as it had before, turned around, crossed it's arms behind it's back, and marched off back into the forest. Virtue watched it leave, not taking her eyes off it till it was well out of sight. "We'll, that was...interesting..." He picked up Virtue and headed back to the tree. She was asleep again before they even sat back down. "what you just fought is named sudowoodo." said ray "what?" asked Erick "the tree-man. It's a GAO, and we named it Sudowoodo. there's a bunch of them in this forest, and they seem to be confrontational to those who see through their disguise as trees." He looked back over to the fight between clint and Enyo. Big pimpin the Onix had still yet to resurface. Ray pointed his chin at Enyo's crodilian creature. "Though, if you hit them with a bit of water, they'll head for the hills in a panic..."

Relax, I wont take dragons away. But in this RP, the power of certain Mons will be increased to be more realistic/ match up better with their description in the pokedex (Which Oak will get around to inventing in good... ten years or so). (Ex. Tyranitar and the whole thing about being able to level mountains when in a rage.) we'll get more into that later, but I was just saying to watch out for that. Also, people, feel free to use the musical themes of the RP when you feel they're appropriate. (I'll get around to adding more tommorrow.)

Corporal Niles had just returned to his duty guarding the tree line when a burst of white light came from the undergrowth to his left, at first he thought that one of his Comrades around the perimeter had seen something in the woods and sent out their GAO to investigate. He realized as his hand was halfway to his own belt, however, that standing where the white light had been was a Young man and an Abra. He heard as the young man shout in apparent exictment, "THAT'S AWESOME!!!!!" He walked over to the man, figuring he was a cadet from the group. "You there, I suggest you do your teleporting with in the boundaries of the clearing, not out here past the treeline." He patted the but of the Assault rifle slung over his shoulder. "You hear those gunshots earlier? Well some of us on patrol here haven't exactly had a "good" day so far, and are looking to blow of some steam by letting out some lead. In other words, they're a bit trigger happy right now, and You're damn lucky that you appeared next to me of all people, because they would've shot you as soon as they saw that light." He pointed back away from the woods and towards the clearing, where the Cadets were still training. "Now get."

Well, i've come up with the Zorua encounter.(I've decided to have Zorua have some connection with the machine Ray tested on the group the first night.) Sorry, Kenny, but the way I've planned it ends with Ray taking the Zorua into his personal custody in order to prevent a certain... Mishap from occuring again. And maybe another Conspirator will even be apprehended afterwards... Maybe nathan could use a staraptor, Murdoc... to try and balance out all the dragons. (Seriously man, I'm imagining your team by the middle of chapter two or so, and I'm seeing a ridiculous amount of power for one person to have... Charizard(close enough to a dragon...),Hydreigon, Salamence... I'm a bit worried that Nathan's going to end up as overpowered as Lance, so throwing something in there to balance it all out might not be such a bad idea.)

So far he hasn't stabbed us in the back (At least, if he did, he was very subtle about it.) In fact, all he's done so far is help. And about the whole pendant thing. he refused to return it after the whole incident with the ditto arceus, when, do I need remind anyone, the MC loses one of the freaking gem keys, even though Sapphira specifically tells you to guard them at any cost when she entrusted them to you. So in my Eyes, the whole not giving the amethyst pendant back is justified on Radomus's part: 1.You had both the keys in your possesion, and you lost one of them for a while, not only that, but you pretty much let some stranger walk up to you and take it out away from you and wouldn't have gotten it back without his help. 2.He's a gym leader and a master of disguise, obviously capable of handling himself in a battle. 3. it's makes no sense for him to be involved with team meteor, as they tried to capture him along with you at his castle in hopes of getting the keys. 4. He's obviously a lot sharper than the average Joe on the street Ergo, it is only logical that he should keep one of the gem keys for safe keeping after seeing this display of near incompetence from the MC, to prevent another embarrassing fiasco as what happened earlier. it's makes more sense to split to responsibility for the keys between two people instead of just one

Friend once again stands by my side, as a gardevoir's loyalty to it's trainer is not dependent on whether or not it is bound to a pokeball.* I'm going to try abdicating again. You Know what, for like the past three months, I've had the exact same question. there used to be a little delete post button at the bottom of the post next to the edit option, but it dissapeared one day and I've never been able to find it since. Anyone know anything about this?

Alright... I've been putting off this discussion for far too long... So far I have been lenient and have trusted you all to be reasonable about keeping your partners move set in check. I have been given no reason to believe that trust was misplaced so far. No one has given their Bagon under level 10 the move outrage, no one has given the partners a completely op move that shouldn't even exist in the first place such as judgement. (a Pokemon as supreme being of the universe, Yeah... sure...) Allow me to make one thing clear. Common sense is king here. Everyone's expected to take responsibility and ask themselves three questions before they have their partner use a move in this RP. 1. How far along in it's development is my (Insert pokemons name here)? 2. Is the move I'm thinking about legal to be in my Partners moveset at this point in it's development? Even if it isn't, would it still be justifiable for them to know it? (Ex. Erick's Ralts knowing Barrier. this example move might be a little too high level for it at the time, but the only time it was used was when Ralts was in mortal danger. and it would make sense for any psychic type to be able to throw up a makeshift wall of telekinetic force in order to defend itself. ) 3.Even if the answers to 1 and 2 are yes, ask this question anyways: Is this move too high-powered/ over the top? In other words, Everyone is expected to use their own judgement in determining whether a move is too strong/ not justified for their partner to know Remember, Bulbapedia is laggy and resource consuming, but it will still be your best friend if you don't know a Pokemon's move-set. in fact, here's the link to it: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Moves there's a search bar on the left side of the screen. type in the name of any move and the page for it will be pulled up. If even after asking the questions above, you're still unsure if you should use a move, there's no harm in asking here in the OOC. I'll continue to not be a complete Nazi about movepools unless it becomes blatantly obvious that not doing so is a mistake on my part. And also, while we're on the subject: Vague commands- If it's agreeable, I'd like for us to try and just keep the whole "Key-Word" move system at arms length all together. Giving out vague commands such as "Hit that thing with some fire!" and then allowing the creature to interpret it as it will. maybe it'll take it metaphorically/ as a saying, and use a move like flamethrower or flame burst. or maybe it'll take it literally and hit the target with a Flare blits/ Flame charge/ Flame wheel. So far this is what we've been doing in keeping with the fact that at this point no one really knows what their partners can do in the story. but it won't hurt to try and keep the commands vague (Or specific if you like, interpretation on the part of the pokemon still applies). well, it's late. I'll come back and edit this point tommorrow if im missing something or it turns out this whole post is really just a bunch of undecipherable text such as dagukwebhtlenbjln4tetlhkj4tojh. and one more thing. there are no Tms/ Hms in this rp. it makes no sense for a water pokemon to need a disc made by humans in order to learn how to travel through bodies of water. and they won't even be invetented for a good ten years or so.
