Yes, we are using a leveling system, however, it will be for more realistic than an ordinary one. you see, in this RP, Pokemon give off a constant amount of energy. the exact source of the energy is unknown, but never the less, a way to measure it exist. a little something devised by Dr.ray. during the RP, you will be given a certain device that is capable of reading the amount of this energy being given off by a Pokemon, which will then report the findings back in terms of levels. The amount of energy given off does not vary based on species, but rather on the age of the creature as well as it's conditioning (Ex. Battling) with one being the lowest possible level found to be given off, and one hundred as the highest possible level found. (Conditioning trumps age in this system. a Pokemon not even two years old could reach level 90 if trained hard enough.) (Ex. a new born Pokemon will barely give any energy off it's body, rendering it at a power lvl. of 1. However, a pokemon of considerable age and conditioning will give off far more energy, rendering a power level of something like 60-100) as for abilities, I should've ellaborated when I answered the question about Hidden abilities, so i'll make up for it by doing that here: Hidden abilities are allowed, so long as they make sense for a pokemon to have it (Ex. a Garchomp with the hidden ability of Rough skin) this goes for all other abilities as well.(Ex. The hidden ability of Justified really can't be... well, justified on an arcanine, so it wouldn't be usable, however, the regular ability of intimidate is, so it would still be available) Also Flux, yes, a last name is needed, as a confidentiality agreement is a legally binding document IRL, and you would be required to use full name if you were to sign one (If you have trouble thinking of one, just google surnames, and choose some random one)

Today is the day. You walked out of your door this morning and headed out to the local Recruitment center, Joined by many others. You're all left standing in the Plaza out front for a long while, Then finally, A Military Officer steps out of the center's wide double doors, and announces that the Recruitment process is now open. You are all told the form Eight Lines. There is surprisingly far less chaos as the direction is followed than one would expect in a crowd of so many people. The procedure is under way, person after person walks up to the Booths assigned to their lines, Answering the Questions asked by the Officers sitting behind them, then undergoing a thorough background check. Some see this first step in the process and leave the line, knowing that their personal history will prevent them from even setting foot in the doors. many seem to fail to correctly answer the questions and are turned away at the booth, their heads down as they exit the Plaza. but every now and again, a person is handed a small card and then walks to the doors and enters the building. Finally, it is your turn to step up to the booth. The Officer asks for your government issued civilian ID card. Satisfied that all is in order on that part, they instruct you place your palm on the screen embedded in the face of the desk, hold for five seconds, then remove it. You do as you're told, and a moment later, the display on the screen pulls up a comprehensive summary of your personal and legal history. The Officer checks the display twice, as is procedure. Satisfied that nothing in the report raises any redflags, he nods to you, then reaches into a compartment inside the booth. he hands you a freshly printed white paper card with your name, photo, age and a bar code on it, a small green check mark lies in the upper left corner. You are told to proceed to the doors and show the Card to the scanner beside them. You walk inside. Armed Guards in full fatigues with the insignia of the U.S. Army corps on their arms line the large entry chamber. A large central counter and office space takes up a third of the chamber, you walk over to it. The Officers standing behind say nothing, simply taking your card a holding it under an unseen device behind the counter. A small slot in the Counter opens. A data key card pops out, with a number on the face of it. You're handed the new card and then Escorted by a guard down a long corridor exiting from the left of the chamber, and to a room corresponding with the number on the card. A large table sits in the middle of the room, many embedded screens in the table glow bright against the darkened air.There are a few others sitting in various chairs around the table. You yourself are guided to a chair and take a seat. The screen prompts for you to place both palms on the screen. It glows a bright blue as it scans your palms, confirming who you are. The screen fades to black, then a new window is displayed, showing a long personality test. You answer all of the multiple choice questions. The screen glows blue, A processing screen appears, then the word Approved. the screen fades to black again, this time it appears to be so black that if you were to lean forward a little, you'd be sucked into a void. Five blazing white words appear on the screen, highly contrasted by the inky blackness of the background: VENTURE DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE? Instructions appear at the bottom of the screen, in much smaller, but still blazing white letters. Yes? Place both palms on the screen. No? Then get up, leave the room, and do not ever return to participate again. You place your palms on the screen. It fades in to a white window. a single prompt appears: it's a confidentiality agreement, with the presidential seal on the bottom. Herein, you will hereby swear to withhold all confidential and/or classified information that is distributed to you, and that you understand that unless approved by the Office of the President of the United States, no other undesignated person, persons, groups, assemblies, or third parties may be allowed access of any type to classified data. As we travel farther out, land gives way to sea. I ask B.B. to find out where Vinny went "why?" he asked "I want to let him in on an alliance. We will need many friends if we are to stop the conflict over the hill from engulfing the whole world in senseless combat. " "You're just being over dramatic, ya know." The rest of the members will be brought in and trained as cadets for about two years in several matters and skills, including leadership and basic group & individual psychology.(in the story's time of course, the period for this will be over at the end of chapter one). plus, let's face it As this is nearly 60 years in the future we're talking about, I think it only appropriate that the Teaching/ Education methods will be far more effective and accedemic standards have advanced far pass today's near mediocre standards (If you want to know more of the concept im trying to get at, read a novel like Ender's Game) so yeah, no more mediocrity and failure to mold young minds in the schooling system (I'm lookin at you inner city schools) in America, the education system will have done a complete turn around, becoming one of the top for the first time. High school will be entered and graduated at earlier ages (Ex. 12/13 on entry, 16/17 on exit) and some who truly prove to be gifted may even only attend half the regular time in high school, then enter collage at an early age (Ex.Dr.Ray entered collage at age 14) anyways back on topic, After the two year training period is over, The Cadets will then Go on to become a new category of soldier, officially called a G.A.O.W. (Genetically Altered Organism Wielder), (and don't be gettin upity bout this, cause I never said you were the only group of this type) and promoted to the Rank of Private (or higher, if they show appropriate merit befitting a higher rank.) This will be a classified project in the beginning, only known about by the Scientist working with them and the very top levels in the Armed Services and the Government, so how much authority/ high rank a PC has won't even matter much, that'll come later. Any Authority/ Promotions gained by the PCs will be almost entirely dependent on their actions following Chap1, when the war breaks out in Chapter 2 and is fought from then onwards. In a nutshell, this is all just one big military experiment (?spuorg tset elpitlum) to test the combat Prowess of the newly formed Organisms (pokemon) that arose from the Virus. The only reason that the military even resorted to selecting the members from the civilian populace was because... Well, it takes a certain type of person, certain personalities and mentalities, to command the loyalty of these creatures, as the military already found out the hard way before beginning the propaganda campaign, Let's just say very few such people could be found already within the Armed forces, Thus, we have the private sector selection. Having actually survived Rosesongs little sorcery that tore open a rift in space, I've been sitting here and watching all of this the entire time. Damn it! I thought my clone would succeed where I had failed again and again, But then Vinny came along with that brilliant idea of screwing with the time stream... Lars sounds like he'll be an... interesting member on the Squadron. Congratulations, You have been accepted to become an "Elite warrior of tomorrow" as for your first question, Let's try to keep the move arsenals to a minimum until chapter 2. seeing as I'd like to use chapter one for getting all of the characters military trained and oriented with their pokemon. But once that's done, Yes, you will eventually be able to use any move in it's arsenal however you so please. as for question 2, I put this under the header "Conditions of the RP" in the topic post, but I'll clarify. When everyone introduces their character for the first time, you will in a sense, still be an ordinary joe. SO yes, you will have yet to receive your pokemon yet, as Dr.Ray and Prof.Oak will distribute them to (according to what you put down as your partners of course) shortly after all the intros are in order. Fearing that this would happen, The Patriots organization took a genetic sample from me, and began a clone project. My now complete Clone, who has all my memories, travels to the hill and is Pissed at all of you for your usurpation. He takes this anger out on the nearest person, Tempest. He picks up the master summon materia, which I dropped during one of my previous campaigns to capture the hill, and Begins chanting in the language of the Ancients. the air grows dark and heavy, then the dreaded moment comes when he completes the ritual: Unable to withstand the Assault, Tempest is utterly destroyed in a burst of blinding light, fading away into nothing. The Hill is mine once again, in spirit if not in legit physical being. It is pokemon as it might be, if it were to ever exist in our world. But Surge Story is also a tale of war, the story of an American Military Officer, and the Squadron who served under him during the war to end all foreseeable wars... the war that would make America and it's allies the most powerful nations on the earth... the war that would decide who would go on to rule the global stage. befriends the Big Boss, and convinces him to bring down the entire wrath of MSF on tempest. Walks onto the hill after tempest is defeated and drives an Outer Heaven flag into the ground, consecrating the hill as a safe haven for any and all soldiers. and i'm king... Again.

*crawls out of the crater and goes to find the lady of the lake and receives Excaliber* *arrives back at the hill after many arduous days of travel. uses Excalibur to run through absol and cast him off the hill.* It's mine again, and this time i have physical proof.
