Fire Emblem On The Forums: Ashes (IC)

"And down he finally goes... of course..." With the remaining undead in their path finally put down like the diseased beasts they were, the sister rushed forward past the others and knelt at the monks side. It had still been quite reckless to leave his back exposed to the mage like he had, but... in the end, he had managed to get the job done, more or less. Looking Klaren's wounds over though, she knew he wouldn't maintain consciousness for too long... "Why do I get the feeling that this is going to become a recurring theme?" She sighed under her breath as she went to work yet again, the azure crystal fixed atop her ivory staff blazing like a miniature star as light again began to fill the air, naught more than unkempt and chaotic strands of luminance before she bent and subjugated the released swirl of divine energy to her will, the storm quickly weaving itself in and out of Klaren's broken and battered body, focusing only on the greatest injuries as internal bleeding began to halt it's deadly flow and ruptured organs and shattered bones began to stitch and knit back together like Crochet work, all the while filling the Monk's mind with a strange sense of beckoning that washed over him in greater strength with every wound closed, growing so powerful before long that it was nigh impossible to resist... almost as if some force forbid him from even so much as thinking about crossing the abyss and into the great void of the netherlands beyond. Moves to K9 and weaves the Holy power of Unbridled Healing upon Klaren![benevolence Activates: Klaren<50% HP] -
[IC] TTG Chapter 2: Lust

Sully That's right, I remember now, all that crap about mechs that could be piloted by anyone...like a one size-fits all suit...but... He wandered over and placed a single hand on the face of the terminal, the screen flickering as he mentally wrote a few lines of code that sent the image he'd held locked in his neural databank for so many years streaming down the length of his nervous system and right through his arm, bioelectric impulses being amplified by the tesla sphere embedded just beneath his wrist and transmitted as wireless data. It was smaller than the ones he'd based the Revenant's systems upon, the things presence not even noticeable at a mere glance at his arm, but he'd done special work on this one... he hadn't needed raw output, so much as a method to covert raw impulse into coherent enough direction for binary systems to read, and the Tesla Spheres original designs had been brought into fruition using conventional means first; it was only after he had known they would work under regular physics itself that he'd bothered to translate it to Favor-ready format... she had left him just this... this one little thing, this idea. If he was gonna do it, he was gonna do it right... Regardless, with the transfer complete, he took his palm away from the screen, nonchalantly tossing his shirt aside and turned to face the older man. "So these Artificial Mechs," he continued "they're more than just rumors then? I mean... sounded kinda impossible, the way I heard it...almost like an egalitarian poor man's dream" -

Oh yeah... I forgot about Radburn in my desire to hear this explanation of Pyons... but eh, chance's are we'll end up intercepting that fighter on the way north anyway; even if Rosa somehow can't manage to kill him, she should be able to distract long enough for some of the others to catch up. Would it stop them from reviving though? That's the true question and issue here, not so much just dealing effective damage against them...
-
*Still grumbles slightly* Fine, fine... better be a damn good explanation though lorewise. What do ya'll say we start prioritizing ??? starting next phase? Most of dem zombos are either down or within killing range, if we hurry up, regroup and and blast any of the others that get back up on the way north, just straight carving a warpath, we may be able to finish this in about 2-3 more turns or so at most... That is of course, 2-3 turns assuming ??? is as simple a fiend to destroy as Maris was... which given their spoopy and oh so mysterious nature and that Scourge tome they got, he probs won't be, but eh... we can come up with a more concrete plan when we're all closer.

Tres "The basement is where he kept all the stuff he really cared about..." She confirmed with a nod "Anything we found that he took a liking too, if there's anywhere that rock would be hidden, it's gotta be somewhere down there... only question is where, and how dangerous it'll be to get to. Tesla, he was... a bit paranoid when it came to his stuff. always setting up traps, almost got me killed once or twice down there..." She got up off the counter, approaching the duck. She was close enough that he could feel the static radiating off her body, looking him directly in the eye with a special type of scrutiny... almost as if she were peering into his mortal soul. Or rather, gazing into whatever equivalent of a soul he might've had. "I've got no doubt that whatever was in the rock has probably taken over that space by now, if what he said about hearing voices is true... and that will make things all the more worse." She said as she backed off, crossing her arms, seemingly disappointed by whatever she'd found "You're only a Weak Alpha though, I doubt you'll be of much help when things get rough...but whatever, we can cross that bridge later. Take me back to the house, I can show you the path down to the basement...after that, you'd be smart to stay behind me, no matter what happens, got me?" Genis "Uh-huh..." Folie muttered, still clearly skeptical with his pursed lips and scrutinizing gaze. He seemed like he wasn't willing to push it much further than he already had then "Well... if you're so sure about that kid... I guess. But look, right now, I don't see em anywhere around, so... if ya need anything, you just go seeking out my name, aight? These streets got plenty of kids on their own, I'm like the guardian angel for em... and that's part of why I wanted Mac dead earlier, it was only a matter of time till some of em got caught up in what he was doing and wound up either dead or in league with him...but that's not important now- you need anything, you come and find me or one of the other orph- er..." He paused for a moment, mulling over the slip of the tongue as he rubbed the back of his head... Screw it, he's already heard it all "You... just find one of the Orphans, alright? They'll know where I am, and I'll know where they are. You got me on that, Genis?" This was perhaps the first time he'd actually referred to the orphan by name...come to think of it... Sephtis "So you wanna hear about the battle then, eh?" The bisharp sighed, bracing his elbows upon his lap as he shook his head "typical... but fine, I suppose I'll be getting that same question a lot more. Bell Tower. That's where the real carnage happened, Whirl Islands was like a walk in the park after the General electrified the waters... even shadows can't stand such a shock, not when their surrounded by so much salt water, and especially not with an output like his... We cleared the isles like it was nothing once we landed; there was practically nothing left alive in there, burned the shades we ran into and gave the all-good... well, not so good, but at least that wasn't too rough. Even if there were no survivors and the Sea Plate was missing from it's place...and then... it was time to head north. To the ruins of Eckrutek." He paused, looking at the wraith once again, gaze questioning "you sure you wanna hear this story? You already know how bad of an ending it has; things just get pretty ugly from here..." Arthur Silence. Silence twas all that fell upon the joint as the very name left Arthur's lips, resounding in the air with a dull ring that sent every mon stopping dead in their tracks, staring right at the Turtle's place at the bar. Even the two fighters in the ring had ceased their brawl, the Blaziken lowering her flaming dukes and the Lucario opposite her letting the raw cloak of aura fade from her body. "You got a lot of nerve mentioning that name around here, Outlander" The jackal snarled. "Anyone who so much as mentions that monster's name around here with anything but worship winds up dead, foreigner..." The hell chicken warned in concurrence "It's been that way for a while now, how about you crawl out of here and back to wherever you came from before you have a...similar fate." "You should listen to them, ya know..." The Machamp said as he continued polishing the mug "The three of us took Macaffey Rhodes headon when he tried to take we're... got our asses handed to us like it was nothing, and we're all fightin' types son. Granted, I still doubt his power is anywhere near as unreal as Folie or Jack or Lemi when they go all out, but still... chances are if you go advertising you want to enlist their aid to beat Mac down, you're gonna end up sleeping with the 'Karps before ya ever find em. That's just the way it is kid, any of us run to Folie or the other Street Lords, we'll end up offed and eaten before we'd ever make it... Now scram. Go home, and don't ever bring Mac up again. It's for ya own good kid, trust me..." "Eh, utter bullshit." A rather push voice was the one who interjected, coming from the shaded corner near the back of the bar. If Arthur squinted just hard enough, he might've barely seen the flash of an enormous, pearly grin with fangs jagged as daggers, twin pools of crimson peering at him with beady black pupils. The being stood silhouetted amongst the shade, though for the life of him, Arthur was unable to identify a solid form as the outline constantly shifted into wisps and puffs, almost like... the bloke was made of vapor... or something close to it. "Look at you Sully, preaching about how big and bad old Macaffey and his crew was. Kek! Anyone who tattles ends up dead you say, well, that which is already dead can't die again, now can it?" "What the hell are you getting at, Spec? If you got something to say, spit it out like a mon and stop hiding behind riddles." "Mac's beaten, Sully. That's right, you all heard me right..." The being emerged from the dark corner, his form seeming to solidify as the sunlight streaming in from the skylight above hit his violet skin, pointed ears and a robust body, stuby arms and legs ending in even stubbier fingers and toes. "Macaffey Rhodes, the Terror of the slums for the past few months, has been beaten! And it's all thanks!" Stubby those his thumbs were, he somehow managed to bend his arms enough to jab them towards himself, face proud as a Pyroar "ME! That's right, I did it, he's gone now, and ya got me to thank!" The machamp's brow furrowed as he set the mug down with an audible clang, glaring at the phantom "If you expect me to beleive you of all people actually managed to take down that fiend-" "Hmmm? Who ever said I did it? Oh no, no... all I did was give Folie a bit of a...tip about our scaly friend." The shit eating grin already stretching his ghastly face only seemed to grow wider "He took care of the rest... I watched it all myself, infact. Folie owns these streets now, so... If you'd be so kind as to start passing around a collection hat for my community service, I'd be ever so happy to accept your offerings" He was so busy boasting and demanding compensation for his rather lackluster deed that the wraith expected nothing when the Mug came flying his way with the force of a bullet fired by some old armament of humanity, nailing him right in the middle of that massively shite-consuming smile and sending him back against the far wall, a noticeably intent there even despite him shifting away from his corporeal state at the last second... Wherever he had gone, it seemed he was no longer in the building. Good... that was precisely what sully had desired. "Now where was i before that pathological liar interrupted? Oh, right... get of here kid, you're not gonna find Mac or Folie or anyone else. Not if you value your life, which you should, as rough as these damn streets are." Clarice and Co. "Why yes, my good mon," The foxman responded, stroking his stache as he produced a small pouch of coin from his robes "I'm here to pick up a tome for the Loremaster in fact, with the finder's fee prepared in exchange, as is routine of course. Now, where might your employer be? I trust she has it ready, the message did come in quite a while ago, afterall..." He hid his annoyance at that last bit rather well, he did. Not only had the dragon sent him on some menial job like a Page boy, he'd taken his sweet ass time waiting to ask him to do it too...

SoA: In God's Shadow [OOC]
Sutoratosu replied to Sutoratosu's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
alright, so I've been pretty bad at keeping my word on the whole once a week thing, I will admit. Right now I'm in the process of going through and poking those who need it, but I would like to clarify something: Even though the Once a week post requirement only applies to scenes where more than two independt parties are involved, such as those between mulitple PCs or PCs and Host controlled NPCs, I still expect a least a bit of initiative for people who embark on Solo Scenes using their own npcs and such to try and post semi-regularly just to stay chronologically relevant in the story. Hukuna has been a good example of what I expect thus far, up till I sent Clemont in, he was running that scene himself, and while he wasn't rapid firing, posting at the drop of a hat, he was still doing a fairly decent job pacing it's updates in such a way that he wasn't, you know... completely forgotten because of the time lag between each section. Folks like Azery and though... not so much; he has left his intro scene literally right at it's very beginning and hasn't advanced it since, god knows how many pages have gone by since then. TDLR: while I am more lax with Solo scenes, I still expect those players who chose to start and maintain them to give the occasional post or two every once in a while so that they aren't completely steam rolled. Not just post once or twice, then forget about everything and disappear for like, an entire month as both other player's interactions and the plot itself advance as their scene sits around just barely past the beginning. ya'll got me? I already know I gotta crack down on being better about the Once a week thing for interactions, don't make me set some sort of time limit for Individual scenes too; I'd really rather not too, but ya'll gotta take responsibility and try to stay relevant in the IC if you're gonna do them, capiche?- 151 replies

I still want to know why Maya or Klaren can't attempt to like exorcise the spirits of the undead or something... not like it would make totally perfect sense or anything, both of them just so happening to wield the power of the Goddess and all... just kinda their jobs to handle this kinda shit... Well... we just gotta keep putting em back down whenever they get up. You know what they say, mate:

((Psssst, notus buddy, i think ya edited Raziel's section into the wrong post. The one ya wanted was this below; having it in the above sets the event as happening just after lucille has just found Raziel and he asks her if the prisoner is awake yet. But yeah, the chronologically correct post to be edited was this one right here:))

Arya Arya had kept going a few feet further before she finally noticed Layla's abscence. Giving a glance back to the way they'd came, she found the goddess standing in place, attention apparently drawn by some random girl; the thought of going back crossed her mind as she heard them beginning to talk, but receded soon enough once she saw just how intent Layla seemed on questioning the girl... and given her usually withdrawn nature, chances were that it had to be something important, if she were so willing to literally stop in her tracks to do it. Arya honestly doubted she could break her away from the conversation even if she tried. "Maybe we should just let her catch up to us later," She said, picking her own pace back up "whatever they're talking about, I've got the feeling it might take a while."

With naught else to do, she followed after the others as they proceeded north. What a surprise though, as Meredith had pointed it out, the very same straggler she'd seen bleeding out was being hoisted off by one of the corpses... "I have a terrible feeling about the things to befall that fool..." She muttered. "Whether we're able to Save him in time or not, it doesn't matter so long as the corpse falls... both rescue and death are still better alternatives to joining this legion..." Move to K13 -
Lucille, Raziel ((I'ma just move us on real quick)) "Oh...right..." She sighed in agitation. "I think I did hear someone say something about a hotel at some point...figures...fine, no point wasting anymore time here." With that said, she hopped back on bora and the bear started treading through the shadows like a wraith in the night, eyes burning their ire filled crimson. The girl didn't have to look behind her to know the mage was following, nor could she have even if she wanted to. His scent and the beat of his wings was indication enough. *********************************************** She pulled the bear to a halt as Des squeked and pointed at one of the buildings coming up in the distance, sending her his vision of the sign. Lucille glanced back Raziel before giving their prisoner a rough kick to the chest as she turned on Bora's back; nothing so powerful a blow as to break bones or cause any type of real injury, but certainly forceful enough to send the man off balance and falling to the cobblestone ground, right beside Raziel. "There it is..." She said, staring at the magus with those hollow eyes "I trust you can take care of getting him inside and finding the others. I've got to find a place to hide four tons of fur and muscle...there's no way he's getting in there without causing too much of a stir. I only wish I didn't have to go in either..." The last part was muttered under her breath, just barely audible enough for Raziel to catch it as she turned and headed further down the street. Despereaux's gleaming eyes could be seen peering from the shoulder of her garbs, sight peircing through the dark like it was nothing as he scoped out potential areas of concealment. Hopefully it would go over better than it had last time, they still had quite a bit of work in this city... though again, that incident had been more or less her own fault in the end, so...

[IC] Lightgivers - Volume 1: A Feeling
Sutoratosu replied to anethia's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
She didn't flinch at the thrown knife. Quite the contrary, all Rame did was press her own assault, advancing what had been a mere series of simple notes before into a short tune on the flute, condensing yet another gout of flame into a construct. This time rather than orbs, it took the shape of a raven in flight that cawed with the rough roar of combustion and took off towards the blade, colliding head on with a burst of flame that sent the now warped and ruined weapon deviating far off course... Only for another raven to be formed not long after, though this one considerably more tame in intensity compared to it's kamikaze brother as it set it's sights directly on Rafael, talons outstretched and beak opened wide as it swooped down towards him....acting just like hen defending her nest. Think that throwing oafs at me is funny, do you? We'll see about that... Thinking of which, it probably wasn't a good idea to drag this on too long, not with her back to Baton boy. She still hadn't so much as glanced behind her to check, nor did she really have the time to at the moment; losing focus now would only create a window of opportunity against herself. But still, she figured getting tossed around a bit wouldn't be enough to keep him down, at least not for very long... -
No one can really blame ya, they only have any effect on the homepage of the site and don't do anything at all for the actual forums, so....if you're like me and just directly look in and bypass the front page, you're bound to never mess with it. That said though, at this point I'm contractually obligated to throw my support behind anything involving Scizor in a battle royale type of situation... plus c'mon, look at all that red- it's the scariest color...they'll win through fear and intimidation alone

[IC] Lightgivers - Volume 1: A Feeling
Sutoratosu replied to anethia's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
"Really?" She gritted her teeth and stopped her chanting as the boy came hurtling for her, fires dying down. So apparently it wouldn't be so simple a plan afterall...fine. Acting on pure instinct, she did the only sensible thing: dove to the side as far as she could, going into a roll and coming back up on her feet as Jev barreled right past her. She didn't spend much time to look back and see where he landed; it wasn't her problem, and there was the apparently telekinetic interloper to deal with. From her cloak emerged the multi-toned whistle, the simple beat of a few quick notes sounding in rapid succession as flames again bloomed and dimmed on her command and condensed into yet two more miniature spheres of radiant heat, their paths snaking about each other, pulsating their brightness in near mesmerizing sequence as they sped towards Rafael...
