  1. Yeah... plus at the rate you're going, you're either gonna end up killing the poor guy before anyone else even arrives, or forcing him to stop playing around and actually get a bit more aggressive about totally wrecking you instead of just letting the never ending chickens do it... which you'll probably regret if he does. and as an aside, you might want to edit some of those post after lexi's, for uh... all the exact same reasons hukuna cited about how you assumed her attack just magically worked as intended despite notus not having the chance to respond yet
  2. TFW you try to do wondertrade in pokemon uranium, get met by a syntax error message... well, I guess they killed the online servers too with the download links...

The online servers have been having issues since before they removed the links.

Hmm, wonder trading worked fine for me when I tried it. I guess it's just only some times in the day.

  3. With all this talk of megas potentially being scrapped this gen in lue of whatever this new move system is, one must wonder... has there even been a single previously unveiled mega pokemon in any of the trailers thus far? Cause I've seen 0

    1. Raindrop Valkyrie

      Raindrop Valkyrie

I dunno It'd be pretty dumb to just throw away all the megas assets etc... so I don't really see them doing that so much. We might jsut not get any megas this gen. whichI'm fin with. and if they do axe them for whatever reason... I'm honestly still fine with it since eh... I don't really like Megas.

  4. As could be expected, the beast again snarled, more agitated by the irreverent slap on his ass than the sudden addition of the Cyborgs weight; just like the travelling wolf from before, this fool thought he could idly toy with his kind and keep those hands...maybe he could, considering he was made of metal, but then again, he had easily gotten through metal before, when he wanted the cowards behind it dead badly enough, so maybe the metal man couldn't... there was only one real way to find out ... A way Lucille didn't allow him to entertain the fantasy of much longer, instead sending him charging off at top speed towards the scene. Fine... he'd save his indignant malice for the enemy. But metal man would get his too, if he ever got slap-happy like that again... just like that damn Were-Hund would...fucking patting his snout like he's some big teddy bear, like they're friends... fucker was lucky he had been gifted with the damn fine reflexes to pull away in time. ((So uh yeah, guess it's up to you to take it from here Notus))
  5. Lucille and Jorgen von Strangle , shut up and get on this bear... Hmmm... perhaps he's not so daft afterall "What do you mean, find the others?" She inquired further as Bora seemed to turn and start moving again of his own accord, keeping a slower pace this time but still holding some urgency in his large strides. Lucille had no idea how fast the man might be able to travel, if his lower body was as heavily modded as his top seemed... but she really didn't feel like having to potentially stop or go back to get him if he fell behind. Curiously enough though, she felt Luna's lurking as they set off again, some wild and radical sensation coming through breifly before stabilizing once more... the emotion she felt from the Primordial one was one she'd sensed too many times before; it was time to hunt... and like that, she was on the move. Seemed she too had picked it up.... Lucille continued as if it were nothing though, not letting bora increase his speed. There was no point giving jorgen reason to inquire about it. "As much socializing as you all insisted on doing, did none of you think to bring up a time or place to find each other for the conference? What did you do the entire time after I left then, pray tell?" Typical, really. So eager to get to know each other, but yet no one shows the sense to use that time and get organized. Not that she was one for obsessively minute and detailed plans and contingencies, but even one such as herself knew they had their uses; she was willing enough to follow them as long as they worked properly... but if she had to improvise or even through it out entirely in order to get something done, take a different road from the one prescribed and forge her own path, she had no issue doing so without hesitation, and no fucks to give if anyone bitched about it later... so long as she got the same desired results her own way, why should she be accosted? But enough. This wasn't Vongth's War, and this wasn't the army of the monstrous races... just a collection of poorly matched individuals told to stop a threat however they could... and if this situation was any indication, this probably wouldn't be the only time she'd be asked to step in... "Fine, give me a moment," She finally sighed, letting up with the questions before Jorgen could even answer. Desperaux showed her the faces and appearances of all those who had gathered in that basement, as she closed her eyes, a bright radiance of green visible to the cyborg for just a moment before they did. She scanned all around her, letting her power roll across the space like an inescapable force, unfelt by any except those of beastial and monstrous natures, to them a growing presence, a judge of silent authority, glimpsing within them all. Her sense was always active, whether she focused on it or not, every alley they passed, every home, every trash bin, all the teeming forms nearby blooming in the back of her mind like some many wild flowers in the middle of summer. But with actual concentration behind it, she could push it even further, farther, make herself known to them instead of merely observing, issue a call to them even. And there she found her, soaring high above the city, eyes peering down from so many hundreds of feet yet seeing the streets as clear and focused one such as Despereaux or Bora on the ground might, scanning, hunting, the alleyways especially. Alleyways always gave food, when she could not find it elsewhere in the range or was simply too lazy to fly that far. With as much swiftness as slipping on a satin glove, Lucille had her innate resistance subdued, and her own essence anchored within the mind. And like that, a young bird descended from the heavens, sleek, powerful, perfectly resembled of an eagle in it's prime, had it not been for the radiant gold and bronze of her thick plumage, and the very light of the sun bending and refracting off her shimmering feathers like a glorious flame in sacrifice to the gods, brilliant iridescence cast forth as she swooped over Jorgen's head and landed on one of the Ivory Towers held out by Lucille, cleaning her wings as she got better acquainted to the one who had so easily exerted such vast authority, drawn like a moth to a flame. "There..." Lucille said, finally opening her eyes, the draconic slits surrounded by a vast sea of green still there in place of the platinum hued, pearl-like defects that were her usual iris and pupils. The bird displayed the exact same with it's own vision, before it finally faded to reveal eyes of the most celestial silver. "An Aquila isn't... quite what I was expecting to find here of all places, but... it'll do. Trying to track everyone down by their scent alone in this chaotic mess would take too long, so it's better to search from the air." With that said, a resounding caw issued from the bird's beak as she spread her wings wide yet again and took off in a single mighty flap, soaring back up into the heavens from which she had came... though this time heading in a very specific direction as Lucille shared her sight- as with all avians, it travelled through the skies far faster than a beast crawled upon the earth, and as close as they already were, it was no time at all before it was showing her the scene as it all unfolded- beasts being summoned by some angel and the others beginning to fight them off, Jesse and some girl she didn't recognize on the street, the older and rather bitter angel Raziel on the roof-Lucille's own charge meanwhile naught but a fleeting glimmer in the sky to any of the participants of the engagement, watching from afar like a cold and indifferent star. So...I was right. He did get into trouble, and somehow managed to drag a few others into it with him... "But none of this even matters right now, we've more pressing concerns to deal with first..." She paused, thinking about it a moment before finally looking at Jorgen again, ordering "Hurry up and Get on" prompting Bora to let out a roar in protest as he gazed up at her, only to be met with a stare so empty yet stern he piped down immediately. "It's the angel boy...jesse. I don't know what happened after he left but... look, just get on, we've wasted enough time as it is."
  6. Giant Eagle from Norse mythos eh? I could make it work (with a baby one or something... cause there's no way in hell a fully grown one would just be chilling out, flying over the fucking city without being noticed) Though, I thought up of something while I was fucking lost on the way home... we'll see I guess. EDIT: Screw it, when in doubt, walk with the romans...the roman obsession with their precious golden bird figurines has given me a nice little idea for forest-lore surrounding an entire species of golden plumed eagles from another world... for any who don't know what I'm talking about with the "Ivory Towers" (or rather, missed the announcement I made when I finished editing her final appearance, since... the original app was rushed as fuck to get in on time) hover your mouse over the text...
  7. Alright, so like, got the brunt of the post ready to go and shizz... but uh, still need to do a bit more research about this bird... damn it's hard to find references on like, ice birds from actual mythology not named Articuno
  8. She was closing in on the sound, couldn't have been more than another block from the source.Either on foot or atop Bora, she would've travelled with equal efficiency, but... well, a woman running at high speed on all fours like a wolf would probably draw alot more attention than even a dire bear's presence, and they were already inconspicuous enough as it was. She was just about to round the corner, then she heard it, Bora's immense form stopping it's jog, searing eyes that loomed like the fires of hell itself turning to take in the man approaching, a defensive snarl emanating from the beast throat. A pat and some soothing impulses from Lucille was all it took to convince him to stand down though, letting the figure get closer without trying to tear him apart. "Hey Lucille, I'd like to talk." "About what?" She responded, scowling as her attention still drifted towards the distance. Leave it to the daft one to get in her way while she was trying to investigate potential trouble... "whatever it is, make it quick, metal man. I'm fairly certain one of us just fired a shot...a loud one..." She didn't bother going into further detail about the conversation with Jesse or Luna; even dense as the cyborg had seemed when questioning Vermilio, she presumed even he would be able to grasp the basic implications of the situation...
  9. You never responded to notus's last section for you from what I saw. Also, just realized that notus never did follow through on that update he had for Lucille and Luna... well, not like it matters much anymore...
  10. Fuck youtube. They may be well within their rights to do this, but just because something is legal doesn't mean it's right... fucking censorship like this, shit was already bad enough with the Bullshit copyright system they've been dragging their feet to fix for literally years now...

  11. Well eh, what can I say? Tis one of the trade offs of having one of your companions being large and intimidating enough that most folks think twice before starting stupid shit (and some of them, any shit at all)- you end up inconspicuous as hell whenever they're around XD basically most of the group split up to do various sight-seeing/other shenanigans and now Jesse, Raizel, and Lisa are all kinda fighting some angel bloke who's trying to (presumably) suck out Jesse's ability with some weird-ass glove that probably won't feel very good if it touches anyone- talk about bad touch Meanwhile, Jarvis and Raeza are having a drink in the Tattered wing and Lucille and Luna have managed to become friends while standing in the middle of some random alley staring at each other for an extended period of time. Jorgen and Gabriel have been more or less the only ones actually getting straight to business and right now Gabriel's heading off for some academic recon shit while Jorgen tries to ask around if anyone has seen Lucille... Oh and, for anyone wondering, this is more or less how Lucille "Sees" the world around her through the Echo Map:
  12. Well, dobbs, there's always combat situations to show off any aggression... just because you've been running him a bit cautious and calculated in his reponses to the group now, doesn't mean you'll necessarily risk breaking shit if you don't keep him that way when the bombs are falling and guns are blazing (There's a pun in these, somewhere... I apologize in advance). I mean, bloke is literally called Bashfist. I expect he wouldn't hesitate to go around wrecking shit with those cybernetic fists of fury. Edit: Hmmmm... Looking for someone to find everyone else, are you? What birds of prey might live so high up in the mountains, I wonder...
  13. "I think splitting up would be for the best" Her response only came after a brief pause, a mild disturbance on the outer edge of the Sonic Landscaping catching her attention. With the bustle and ambient noise of the urban environment, Desperaux and Bora and perhaps even Luna too had probably been able to hear it... but simply paid no attention when it was just one noise mixed into the cacophony of so many others. But she had felt this very sound too many times before, back against the humans...the thunderous disharmony it caused through it's sheer volume alone was always enough to send tell-tale ripples through the stream, ripples that the ears alone could disregard, but one who's entire perspective was through sound couldn't. She turned herself to face the wall Jesse had vanished through several minutes before. "Like you said, we can cover more ground that way... and even if people notice you, to them it's just another stray dog going about it's way, not like some massive dire wolf or something is roaming the streets..." She barely left much room for confirmation, already beginning to walk out of the place towards the shot... only two sneaking suspicions in her mind about who she might find responsible for it.
  14. Well... Notus did mention that Jesse didn't really get that far from the alley before he got jumped twice over, didn't he? Probably only a few blocks away at most... Hmmm... decisions, decisions...WWLD...?
  15. Bang bang, Shoots fired, all units be advised! I repeat, Shots fired, all units, be advised! But no, for reals though, you'd think Jesse would have a silencer or something for that thing, being a professional killer and all... though I guess when you can kinda fade in and out of tangible existence at will, whether or not people hear your shots does kinda become a bit less of a concern...
  16. This game of Oblivion though... shits starting to get heavilly modded up in here (Seriously though, the damn thing needs it, at it's base it hasn't exactly aged to well over 10 years...)

  17. "No one can flout the Roman Empire. When under attack, the empire counter attacks." Is that about right for a rough translation...Ody my boi?

  18. Lucille and Co., Luna, for reals though ngl making new friends in random alleyways ain't as bad as it sounds the rest of ya should try it too Well, there was some relief in that, she guessed...not much, but a little. Surprised as she was to be feeling anything towards any of her assembled allies besides an obligatory cooperation, she didn't much mind it in this case. As is stood, Luna easily seemed the sole one among them she'd likely have any real understanding between, simply because everything Lucille was and had been raised as, the Primordial one had literally been the original cipher for. "Alright then..." she said, glad at least that had passed. The alleys of Marblegate smelled noticebly less offensive compared to the Thousand, perhaps a sign of the increased concern for cleanliness of the cities occupants, but still... any alley was still an alley. She hadn't retreated to this place because she enjoyed it, only because it was the most readily available option for solitude that didn't involve entering into some artificial place. "I think it's about time we get out of here though. The crowd's going to pick up even more eventually, as things get closer. And while the others waste their time searching for rumors and gossip, I'd like to figure out the basic layout of this place before things get too... personal in the streets." It helped to have a map, regardless of whether it was scrawled in ink on parchment or constructed of sound and the vision of a mouse and bear. Chasing someone down like a predator after panicking prey is always easier when you know exactly where you're going and where the pursuit is taking you, after all...
  19. It still amazes me how somehow I might already be entering into an agreement to assist with another PCs eventual suicide...and we're barely even into the meat of chapter 1 I made some overhauls to Lucille's appearance section, finally found the inspiration I was lacking a few weeks ago. A few other things have been tidied up too, though overall, nothing terribly big has been changed except the attire under appearance. I did add a little something about the bracers into the Skill overveiw though, given their effects are already kinda hinted at in the backstory from their original owner... And yes, the Bracers are trophies... I felt it quite fitting.
  20. Lucille & Co., Luna, Somber Alley Way "...." Still, she hesitated at the prospect. She couldn't but think an anomaly like Luna should be kept around as example, proof that, one way or another, resistance was possible... but ironically it was for her very anomalous nature and the events surrounding it that the Primordial wanted nothing more than death at the end of it. A conflict of interest if ever there was one...but if from Luna's perspective, immortality had been nothing but a curse all this time, a contributing cause of so much guilt and suffering over the ages, could one blame her for wanting to cast it aside? "Do you think you'll remember that rune...Sowilo?" It was to despereaux, and despereaux alone. The mouse nodded his head, stroking his whiskers in scholarly fashion. He'd already memorized the glyph. Good... because she never could be bothered committing their ilk to memory when they came across them, there was no point when she couldn't even employ them without his help; it was honestly better to just let him handle everything related to them... that and the fact that with this division of labor, the mouse had access to at least one line of defense, if it ever came to it, aside from merely chomping someone's finger off and scurrying away. "Well, luna..." She took a breath, still not believing what she was about to propose "...I guess I'm probably the only one you've told any of this to in a long time, aren't I? If...if this is what you really want, in the end...I...I guess I can be the one to cast it for you, if I'm even still alive by the time you finish the rest of them..."
  21. "...I see." The air had grown palpably solemn, in the last few moments of their whole conversation. None of this had particularly turned out how she thought it might, but well... she had asked for it. At times, ignorance really was bliss... she had been warned, fair and square. Though, to be honest, she hadn't been expecting all sunshine to begin with "Even when you finally do finish, you'll still need someone else's help to end it." She turned her attention to the carved sigil, though it was only through Despereaux's aid she saw anything of the symbol. It might have been Sound-based, but Fox had taught her well from his own vast wealth of knowledge... She had never liked runes or sigils or... any of that crap used by traditional mages, for obvious reasons. But he had still made her study their basic operation regardless of whether she relished it or not; she knew enough to activate one... not that she had ever had much desire to do so before, especially in this of all context. "Is killing you after it's over really the only though?" she asked, sounding a bit more like a plea than mere curiosity... "Nothing else, no other possibility at all? it... it doesn't seem Just... I mean, you're the one who's making them all pay, aren't you? So to just destroy you like you're no different than them; as if you've committed the same wrongs, like you don't care about atoning or trying to make things right..."
  22. She thought she understood the beast, at least more than she had just moments earlier, as the fleeting scene flashed before her usually sightless eyes. Could it really be enough though; the mere deniance of the substance, the refusal to take another gulp? She'd been taught to never become what she sought to destroy, and yet... after all this time, was the real meaning of what the old master had told her that day... really this straightforward despite it's ambiguity? Was taking the high road really as easy as simply turning and walking away instead of treading deeper, refusing to advance any further beyond where one absolutely needed to be to see the end point? It...it had to be. As overly simplified as it sounded. The Masters of Sanctuary before her had done just that, in hind sight, sought only enough strength to protect...nothing more, nothing less. Old Fox had even gone a thousand years in his own right, yet, he never tried to push his White Flame past what he needed it to be... he wanted only to burn the enemies at the gate, he had cared nothing for whether he was able to burn the entire world...so long as the looming threats were gone, so long as his people were safe in the end... he had been satisfied. "Luna... are you the last one then?" She asked, actually using the being's chosen name for the first time, tentative and cautious as it came through "Or... do the rest of them just keep spawning again like you?"
  23. omfg I finally found some inspiration for Lucy's outfit...

  24. For reals though, we are getting into some deeper shit regarding backstory and motivation than I ever expected to be accomplished in a chapter 1 thread... like god damn XD

  25. The mouse starred at her, thinking it over. Before long though, he gave a negatory through the connection. This wasn't exactly... the first time it had happened. This first time in many years, perhaps, but not the first ever. The use of a bond was by it's very nature an inherently dangerous thing, for Lucille to link her soul so closely with that of another as to facilitate such intimate commune...used on the wrong target, one of enough raw mental capacity and malice, chances were she probably could've been broken and ridden like a mere puppet- the very thing Old Fox had instructed her in the defense against. But there were other issues as well...memories. Memories were fickle, at least under the influence of her own ability. Fleeting, scattered, each of them like their own self contained time and place stored in the mind and tied directly to her soul, the imprints of that which had already passed but yet was not allowed to flow with the rest of things. By their very nature, it took concentration for her to share and show them to another being over her links, to encapsulate them in that captured imprint of time and space so they can live it through her own perspective, or on a less personal scale to set them as an outward observer... and when done without that proper concentration, Lucy was far more likely to end up the one caught in her own projection than the party it was intended for... the long and short of it was that it was a short circuit, a mistake, far more on the girl's part than Bom's. She had been so distracted with her own thoughts that when the subconscious flash of memory flew across the surface of her mind, instead of stepping back, staying on the outside, remaining an observer like one normally would when recalling something, she had let herself fall into it, and well... that was that. But he had one idea... it had worked well enough back then. Without anything else in response, he managed to wiggle his jaws out of her grasp, his thin yet razor-sharp like buck teeth looming large over her fingers before her grip tightened on reflex and the air rushed from him, Lucille's voice again resounding over the bond... "Why?" She asked the being hidden as the black dog, more force behind it than she probably even realized. "Everything I've been taught, everything I've seen, all the men I've killed, all the ones I've been trying to protect... everything up till now has all supported the same basic principle that the more you want, the greater you are, the closer you tread to Oblivion, and yet... here you are... possessed of more raw strength than anyone I've ever met, anyone I probably ever will meet, all bundled into that form... you've had literally countless eons to have your way with this world, do whatever the hell you wanted, and yet, somehow...you didn't succumb to power's poison...why? When for so many others I've seen, so many others throughout all of history, all it's taken is one taste and they're hooked, thirsting for more and never willing to stop, even those who already had plenty; hell, even the very gods themselves, and yet..." The pressing of the inquisition gradually dissipated, waned... and confusion reigned in it's place. Grade A, genuine perplexion. "How? You're the closest thing to 'absolute' I've ever encountered... literally as old as time itself, and still, you're nothing like the bastards my predecessors and myself all spent our whole lives trying to stop. H...How did you break The Cycle- no, how did you defy The Cycle completely, Kept your footing on such a treacherous slope all this time?"
