When the only strategy is to poke and then run away till you can poke again... well, it's not a real game. It's real stupid. I hope you can get your money back.
Ignore Mael. The game's amazingly fun, and from what I've played of Dark Souls 1, I'd be the minority that argues that Dark Souls 2 is better. Much more polished. Easily one of my favorite games of all time.
