I won't say that I don't poke around on both the site, people's profiles, and their recent activities. However, I find myself questioning the point of having the option to hide one's "Last Active" status. While it hides the activity upon first glance, it really is quite easy to get some sort of approximation of their latest activities. For example, I was looking a user whose name I will keep anonymous, and they had their Last Active status hidden. This can be found beneath the user's name on their profile page. One look at their Reputation, Posts, Topics, or Reborn Economy investments, likely more accurate than their latest reputation, gives a general idea of their latest activity beyond just logging in. However, if the user simply logs in and logs out without any activity, there is no surefire way (to the public, at any rate) to know it. So, what does this even mean/matter? Well, for one, Ace Members are required now to stay active at least every three months (if I am wrong, please correct me on this). If moderators/staff cannot see the latest someone was on (again, I do not know if they have the ability to see this), then they may lose Ace Membership due to not being viewed as online through their "Last Active" status. While some may attempt to be incognito through the nature of choice, it could lead to some unwanted conclusions. This, of course, all balancing on if a member chooses to hide their "Last Active" status. Should the ability to hide recent activity in all other aspects of the member's activity be open to the user? i.e. If I don't want people to see my latest Reborn Economy buyings and think I changed someone's name to Humpfrey by buying the Name Changer, should I have the freedom to hide that, like how someone can hide their "Last Active" status? In other news(?), whilst exploring the site, I came back to the option in "My Notifications" that concerns the notifying of a member if they have been warned by a moderator of something unsatisfactory they have done. I can only assume it is different from a message, and applies to the user's "Warning Points" counter. This box is NOT checked upon joining the site and becoming a member, but I do not think there should be the option to uncheck this box, effectively cutting off the communication between member and moderator. Should a member do something against the rather clearly-stated rules, I believe the member should not have the ability to ignore it by disabling the notification. That opinion is why I have posted this and the above topics in the Grand Hall. I think this should be up for debate among the members of Reborn. Edit: New members' settings do not have the "Notify me if I am warned by a moderator" box checked. Thank you everybody (for bearing with the text walls), Arkhidon

[OOC/Sign-ups] Surge Story

That's right, you're breeding for one now, right? Or at least EV training. A Hydreigon would be the equivalent of a squadron's worth of backup planes.- 1189 replies

"Did your grandfather do anything to it before it attacked...?" Ray asked. Of course a scientist would ask that. However, it is not up to Keaton to decide how the man thought. "I believe my grandfather was hunting." He looked down, thinking about it. He heard very few details about the event. "I'm unsure if he directly did anything to it. But it attacked him before he managed to kill it. He died hours later."

[OOC/Sign-ups] Surge Story

For the sake of keeping names in order, I would suggest just sticking to my character's name of Keaton. It's his most commonly referred-to name. At any rate, officers and people in high-up positions should still refer to him by his legal name, Adam. tl;dr Adam = Keaton. Keaton is the nickname for Adam.- 1189 replies

The creatures fascinated Keaton. That's strike one. He should not be fond of these killer monsters. However, his family was against them. Unbeknownst to him, they harbored some sort of grudge. When the scientist asked for stories, Keaton figured it would be his time to pop in. "Um. I have a short story," Keaton said, rather quickly. Without asking for permission to speak further, he allowed himself to do so. "My grandfather was killed by one. It was some sort of pinkish flying scorpion. They say it was about three and a half feet tall and injected poison into him."

There's no time to explain, grab onto his logic.

This has turned from Money Making to Pickup Items. I suppose I can part with my money-making secret... In the North Adventurine forest, there are three patches where berries can be grown. If you plant lum/sitrus berries there, you can change your computer's clock to two days later, then farm the berries, plant more, and repeat. Lums and Sitruses each sell for 400 a piece. A full stack of 99 sells for 39600. Each berry tree, without watering, yields a profit of one berry for a total of two berries per tree. So, assuming you complete the process once, you gain 3 berries, the equivalent of 1,200 profit. If you do this process for about an hour, you can get around 125+, assuming you progress smoothly, allowing for 50,000.

This could be asked instead in the Reborn City thread. However, while it's here, I can try to help. It might be how you jump through the Slums. You can only jump every two tiles if there is another one two tiles away in a four-way linear direction. It's hard to tell if you're stuck because of a glitch or just not seeing the pathway. Good luck with that.

Some moves are in. For examps, my Noivern carries Shadow Ball from the TM. So it must have been everything reported in between 10.5 and 11 full release.

Kozuto sat for only a few minutes. However, the Vanda Nomad's ancestral respect, self-sacrifices, and rituals for his family allowed him his unique abilities. One such skill was that of the manipulation of time within thoughts. While meditating, he sat for a rather short amount of time, but within his thoughts, he spent hours with his family. In his ancestral bond, Kozuto explained his day's events to his family, asking, as he always did, for the powers of his people and his blood. Kozuto's prowess with controlling three animals at once during the heat of a battle impressed his ancestors. They were pleased, and they granted him his permission to return to his physical realm, with his renewed ancestral magics. This time, he was allotted three days' worth of as much control within his abilities as he saw fit. Never before was he given such a gift. As he felt himself returning to his entire body, he looked down in the ground, lost in thought. Kozuto joined a group of incredibly skilled fighters, but he still felt alone. It must have been from his failure to see eye to eye with Kho. He shuddered violently, thinking of how racially alone he was from the Vanda. His eyes lifted up, to the dunes of the desert. He couldn't sit and wait. While he was alone in his race, he was surrounded by new ones: races that should dislike him, but chose not to. Kozuto got up, brushing off his robes, picking up his staff, and he walked over to the Olrien and Gillem. "I return. For the next three days, I shouldn't need to meditate as long. My ancestors were proud of how I acted today in helping other races, so they bound me limitless energy for three nightfalls," he said as he walked over to the two. Only when he realized that Olrien was already speaking did he stay his tongue. "Whoops. Sorry for that. I'll just call on some birds to keep watch." Kozuto walked a few feet away, bowed his head, placed his staff into Aervana's rich lands, and expanded his mind, as if creating a large dome encompassing any nearby aerial creatures, asking five to come. -
There actually is a map of Reborn. Sneasel would probably be in Ametrine Peak or the Carnelia Region.
-
Actually, the possessive pronoun here for xe/xem/xyr would be xe. Otherwise, you're saying he/she/[his]. Adrienn *probably not* would be disappoint.

I'd advise against picking Mudkip.

Welcome. I think I will start including soundtracks for the new people. So, here we go. A frozen village's theme to compliment your name.
-
As much as I'd love to say I caught it... It was another trainer's Poke. So no, it's still unobtainable. But when it is finally obtainable, Ame probably isn't going to update the list for it. And I can't hear you blah blah blah. That thread was only open for about two hours before regret began to set in.

Welcome.

"Yup. Bunkmates," he repeated. Bunkmates, huh. What brought him to the military? "I suppose family honor and required arms brought me here," Keaton guessed at. "Don't know about fun, though." Being caught red-handed with the military would be abhorrent. Staying out of trouble will be the best thing to do, he thought. Keaton began to have second thoughts about his choice of bunkmate; if this was the sort of guy who was going to have fun in the military, it must be anything but good.
-
Keaton was instantly surprised and disgusted with the behavior of his new barrack buddies. None of them seemed to have a sense of the true authority around here, the military. He was shocked, flinching every time someone swore about the military or Lieutenant. He had two choices of bunk: on his left was Nathan, the pilot. On the right was Lars, the... whoever he was. However, Lars did not seem to have a bad attitude. Only a bored one at the time. It would be a better for Keaton's morals to be with someone who didn't cause trouble. Lars seemed trustworthy enough. He went over to his bunk, placing his bag upon the lower bunk. "Good evening. I'm Keaton," he said, tipping his fedora slightly. "If you need a pen or something, I've, uh.. I have a pen you can use," he said, pulling out his only remaining pen. Selfless, he thought. That's what I've got to be to make friends here. He set the pen up on the above bunk as he double-checked his bag for everything he brought. Yup, he had the extra clothes, pocketknife, and spare fedora. Always a good idea to have a spare piece of classy equipment. He smiled, nodding his head. It seemed like he was one of the most optimistic people here. However, he'd get to know them over dinner.

Lily, after giving Gale a short threat, lunged toward the foe. Or she fled. Either or. With the Gardevoir's commands so bluntly stated, he had no intention to follow them for himself. But for the Togepi, he would catch a grenade- No, he would give an arm or a leg. He wasn't quite ready to give his life, despite the fact that she gave hers to save him. Amarantha would be protected. He bent down, keeping on knee on the ground and pivoting around to look for threats. "Looks like a sleepless night, Ammy."

"And owls don't sleep at night. I'll do first watch with you and Olrien. I can borrow that sense until my shift is over. Plus, if anything happens, I can call on some animals to assist," Kozuto grinned, chomping away at the meal. And maybe I can try to help relations between Vanda and Elves, he thought more seriously. "I'll need about five minutes to pray for my ancestors. It's a source of energy and sign of respect for us. In the meantime, my hunting dog can take my place. Don't worry, he won't bite. Unless there's an enemy. In which case, I can stop and come help. Though, I'm not sure how I can-" he trailed off again. He placed his hand on his neck, smiling nervously. "Sorry for that. Guess I'll do a good job keeping you guys up." He went outside, drew a circle in the sand, and took a pose of meditation. -
Just then, Lily jumped up, as if to face a threat. It was possible she was saying something, but nothing Gale could hear. Lucky me, he thought. I can't understand her. However, if this threat, which was stronger than him, posed a challenge to her, then it would be a great one for Gale. "Alright! Let's get some action up in this joint!" He jumped to his feet from some rubble, running over to Togepi. "Ready, Amarantha? Lily can't do all the work. Plus you'll grow stronger from the experience. Let's kick some!" Gale pumped, too excited for conflict to question her take on the situation.
