    Because, at some point of the game, gym leader's pokemons have optimal stats and sets (proper EV spread and nature), which might make a difference in a pinch. #EDIT: Just like @honeybutterfly mentioned, you should always look out for speed buffs/debuffs from the field. Always study up the field you're battling on, so you can fully take advantage of it and overcome certain issues like this.

    @timbla Actually, iirc King's Rock on wild Hawluchas were axed....so you won't find them until later in the game. #EDIT: Guess I'm also just really unlucky too. I remember spending like a hour and a half with my Compoundeyes Vivillon (Fainted) + Frisk Stantler trying to get those. Thanks for the clarification @Njab.

    @Darvin and @Teme95, just tell me whenever you're avaiable to trade and we'll settle this. So...as one of the few (if not only) Hidden Power breeder of the community, I started breeding some mons for this gen and I started with the hardest one: HP Grass Salandit Took me a lot of time to breed those and I got 148 males and 27 females (image on spoiler) and I would like to trade those for some other mons that I would like, such as Gen VII bred mons with the proper IVs/Egg Moves
