    I'm confused a tiny bit by this. Are you saying as we defeat more pokemon, the catch rate will increase for that specific mon? Either way, I'm all for it I suppose as long as it doesn't become game-breaking. EDIT: I realized what you meant now, that's a interesting concept..

    The rate should be the same. And you need to breed it with a Ditto til you get a female Gastly. Then, you can just breed it with any male pokemon in its egg group (Amorphous I believe). EDIT: If you want the a good Sludge Bomb and Thunderbolt for Gengar, which requires breeding, look at the spoiler.

    Shadow Ball/Thunderbolt/Sludge Bomb/Destiny Bomb would be the best in-game moveset atm, but breeding is required. For items, probably Black Sludge. Nature would be either Timid/Modest and EV Spread could be 4 HP/252 SpA/252 Speed

    Yes it is still possible to do the old event. And I'm pretty sure you have to buy the Floral Charm in order to get one.
