  1. When the six Evangelions arrived in the hangar the maintenance staff guided them to their respctive holding bays (Asuka's and Ahmed's needed cranes to do the job) and soon they were all locked in position again by multiple restraints. The entry plugs were taken out and replaced by signal-cutting ones, and the pilots were greeted by nurses who took them past the control room and into a small medbay that was right beside it. There was a rush of people moving towards the EVAs, presumably the maintenance crew already starting the repairs, and all of those who passed by the kids looked at them with curiosity, said thanked and congratulated them. Dr. Hashimoto was still inside the control room, for those who bothered to look for him, apparently being yelled at by an angry looking Dr. Alma Neummann. Once in the medbay, they went through a number of health check-ups (for the second time in the day) before the doctors assured them they had no injuries at all - although some had some fading symptoms of shock - and the pain they felt earlier was not related to their bodies at all. The doctors themselves were confused about that but, with nothing else they could do, the children were told to go take a shower in the locker rooms behind the bay and then go back to the control room for a debriefing.
  2. "Fath- Doctor Hashimoto, Admiral, the Angel l-looks dead. W-We got it." There was an uproar at the control room following Satomi's words. The officers and staff jumped from their chairs, laughed, and some hugged their colleagues, celebrating the kid's triumph - and being allowed to live another day, of course. Admiral Sauer let out a relieved sigh, and Dr. Hashimoto laid back in his chair with his eyes closed for a moment before answering. "...Alright Satomi, we're opening the main hatch. Please bring the damaged units back to the hangar if you can, it will save much time." He paused for a bit before adding "And good job." to the sentence. Out on the field again, the Angel (thankfully) didn't react to Ranga's question and kept immobile where once was the camp. The ship's main hatch opened slowly and teams of soldiers and medical staff rushed out to aid the survivors in front of it and look for more of them in the battlefield, for unlikely that it could be. Most of the personnel flinched when they saw the EVAs and wasted some moments staring at them dumbfounded. Some of the soldiers that came along seemed to know what was going on though, as those people were quickly called out by them and hurried to do their duties. "You alive in there or do i have to drag a corpse back to the ship?" "Huh, as if something like this would be enough to kill me." Asuka answered through the radio. Even though she said that in a defiant tone, the pain was apparent in her voice. Lying in the cockpit with her eyes closed and her teeth gritting, the first pilot fought to control the pain in her leg - which, unlike the EVA's was still in place, thankfully. She had cut off communications earlier when her unit shut down so the other pilots wouldn't hear her screaming and lose focus, and after some time it appeared that the control staff managed to cut off her neural connection with the EVA so she wouldn't feel all of the pain. Took them too long though, and a lot of it still lingered. "Now, if you have time to joke about an injured colleague, how about you grab that leg for me and help me up?" Asuka regretted the suggestion as soon as she looked around and found her EVA's leg. Far different from what a robot leg should look like, it had surprisingly few metallic components beneath the thick layer of armour, and all too much stuff that was, unmistakably, biologic. Muscle, bone, veins and a lot of blood. No doubt Beverly would have seen it by now and Asuka wondered how she would react.
  3. All For a moment, everything seemed to be slowed down - the Angel's immense form travelling mid-air, the EVAs jumping towards it or preparing to. In the control room all the personnel held their breath, with the exception of Daisuke Hashimoto, who yelled his daughter's name. The civilians behind Satomi cowered in fear or started to run at the sight of the behemoth flying towards them, with only the now small looking robot betweem them and certain death. For a moment everything came to a halt in the pilots' perception - And then all Hell broke loose at once. The Angel opened it's white mouth, but Satomi managed to avoid being swallowed whole and jumped with amazing power, leaving a cloud of dust and debris where she stood a second before. Her EVA crashed with the Angel, the yellow light of an AT Field visible for a moment. Ahmed hit the angel in the side, more specifically, his foot hit the wall of bones that once again came to life to defend the Angel's main body. Those sliced through the EVA's foot and tore it to pieces, leaving what looked disturbingly similar to a bloody stump in the end of it's leg. Beverly was the next to hit their foe, after sinking a multitude of projectiles in the beast's body while covering the distance that separated them. The blood like liquid still spilled from the wound on her EVA's belly, soaking the ground beneath her as she ran. Then she added her almost hundred-meter tall Evangelion's weight to Satomi's and Ahmed's, managing to avoid the area protected by the Angel's bones. The Angel was thrown off course by those three actions, and ended up crashing on the ground to Satomi's left, throwing the girl's EVA away with the impact, but still not hitting the civilians nor Noah . Beverly was similarly sent flying when it's other side shook EVA 02 and ripped off it's left leg, sending the red unit flying, spraying that same blood like fluid all over the place, until it crashed with EVA 16. Kyou, for a strike of luck or great instinctive reaction, was the first to sink her knife into the remaining core. It resisted for a bit, extremely hard and tough to break, until Ranga showed up and completed the strike with her own knife. The red orb parted in two. And the black and white Angel stopped moving.
  4. All Asuka's jumping tactic was a sucess - or so it seemed when her EVA, in a movement that seemed way too nimble for a machine of that size, leapt above the barrage of sharpened white bone and started falling right above the core. Asuka just needed to position EVA 02 for the landing and drive the progressive knife down in the crimson orb beneath her and all would be over, and she could go treat that ever increasing pain in her chest and arm. What happened next was nowhere near that, though. "Critical synchronization levels." an automated voice sounded inside her cockpit. "Evangelion Unit 02 will now shut down." What the other pilots heard was only a series of what sounded like a lot of cursing in german and the words "NOT NOW!" as the red Evangelion landed face first, like a bag of trash on the monster's forehead. The Angel reacted by closing it's jaws around the EVA's left leg and, apparently reacting to the multiple EVAs swarming it, disappeared back in the hole where it came from. At the same time the white Angel acted, but in the opposite way - it started to speed up out of the hole on the ground beneath it, with more and more of it's white body showing, until at some point it turned black. A moment later the mouth of the "other angel" appeared, still dragging Asuka's EVA, and then the whole thing was in the air. The two Angels were actually only one gargantuan being, with a mouth and core in each extremity. And it was jumping towards Satomi.
  5. All As Ranga´s Evangelion stood still on the ground, the white Angel turned towards her with it´s gargantuan mouth wide open, as if it would swallow her whole. It was a moment that seemed to last forever, but the monster suddenly halted as it noticed Satomi preparing to shoot. It then abandoned Ranga and moved quickly to block the bullets´path with it´s own body, the car sized projectiles sinking in it´s white flash or bouncing from it´s black ribs as it intensely threw an eyeless stare at Satomi. On the other battle front, the black Angel responded Ahmed´s attack with another lightining fast movement from it´s ribs. Asuka, who was running towards and predicted it would try that again, prepared to jump over the wall of moving, sharp bones, planning to strike the core from above.
  6. All The black Angel quickly recognized the danger of Kyou's approach and, opening it's huge mouth, flung the damaged EVA 16 towards Kyou's Unit. Meanwhile, Asuka had already recovered enough from the wound in her EVA's chest to start thinking. As I thought, two cores. She thought, smirking. "Ok, now we found our target! Aim for the red orb!" Then EVA 02 dashed forward, it's pilot in hopes of finishing the fight fast.
  7. All Asuka got in solid hits with her Progressive Knife, but failed to find the core once again. Ahmed's jump kick landed but, although the angel did take a good impact from that, so did Ranga on the other side of the monster. It ended up with her EVA falling butt first on the ground. The Angel then reacted differently; then before; it's "ribs" opened with a sickening noise and started slashing at the EVAs near it an impressive speed. "Shit-" Asuka started saying before one of the bone blades hit EVA 02's chest, it's edge tearing through the thick armour. She stumbled backwards to get away from the Angel's range, letting out a groan of pain. Some kind of liquid in high pressure sprayed out from the injure, in a manner disturbingly alike to blood. Some of the other Evangelions nearest to the Angel also got hit by the surprise attack, but everyone's attention was quickly turned towards Beverly - for, with a roaring sound, the ground beneath her EVA gave way and what appeared to be another identical Angel arose from it, closing it's mouth around Unit 16's belly. This Angel had it's colours swapped compared to the other one, with black flesh, white ribs - and another blood red core on it's forehead.
  8. All That's exactly why I said that the idea was stupid. Asuka mentally complained, but she lost no time before she redirected her EVA to go to Ranga's aid. The Angel had started to turn it's attention - and more importantly, it's mouth - towards the younger girl's unit. "It's just like the rest of piloting - focus in yourself doing it. Just think really hard of a force field - " she instructed the others while quickly approaching the AT field, along with Beverly. Then her EVA lowered it's head and prepared for impact with it's shoulder. "- like THIS!". The light around EVA 02 seemed to get slightly distorted just before it collided with the Angel's AT Field, and then - well, it didn't. The air right before Asuka's unit shone in a bright yellow light, octagonal in shape, as the two AT Fields collided. Her Evangelion halted for a moment that seemed too long before cracks started appearing in the octagon and it finally shattered, letting all three EVAs - and the bullets - through. "Right, now avoid the mouth and slash it up!" Asuka commanded, bringing her progressive knife forward.
  9. All What the hell?! Well, that was a bit more than Asuka asked for a distraction, but it would serve. She was worried that the apparently crazy pilot of the rusted EVA would mean trouble later on, but now she had more pressing concerns. "Now!" She said over the video call, while EVA 02 sprinted to change places with Satomi. As for damage from Ahmed's shots, it was absolutely none - at least to the Angel. The pallet rifle's shells all dripped or bounced mid air after colliding with something invisible to them. Still running, Asuka spoke to them again. "Ok kids, Angel Killing 101. Those things have a kind of force field called the AT Field - which our EVAs also have. The best way to get past it is to generate one of our own to nullify their's, and then try to find and destroy their core. Which I already did and didn't work, so I suppose this one's got a second core somewhere else in it's body."
  10. All For a moment Dr. Hashimoto seemed completely enraged by the Admiral´s suggestion and the children´s positive answer to that, but Adalard had predicted that and gave him the best don´t interfere look he could muster - which apparently was pretty good, because the doctor only angrily nodded and headed straight for the control room. "Very well then. I thank you for your bravery, children, it may save us all. The staff will lead you to the respective entry plugs, and we´ll launch your Evangelions right away to support Miss Connors. Dr. Hashimoto will give you instructions and teach you the basics through the cockpit´s radio, so don´t worry about not knowing what to do out there. Your mission is to support the Evangelion Unit 02 in defeating the Angel that is attacking our ship. For the sake of the human race, come back victorious." With that, Admiral Sauer let the staff members lead the kids to their EVAs and went back to the control room, where he was greeted by a visibly annoyed Daisuke Hashimoto. "So, we´re putting unprepared kids on the front lines and hoping for the best, is that the plan?" "You didn´t seem to find it a bad idea until your daughter joined the other two, Daisuke. Besides, last time it did work." The doctor let out a heavy sigh and added some more sarcasm to his tone. "Yes, it worked so well that we ended up like this." When Beverly and her EVA 16 reached the gate and grabbed one of the Pallet Rifles stored near it, EVAs 17, 18, 19 and 20 were ready to deploy right behind her. And so the biggest Evangelion squad ever deployed in an Angel attack was set into motion. Asuka Asuka Langley Soryu was fighting in defensive mode, something she didn´t like at all. Her EVA´s left arm was broken, and she felt her own arm throbbing in pain - though it didn´t matter much, she´d been in worse situations before. What really bothered her was the great idea of a group of survivors who thought it would be safer to hide behind her in this fight - which wasn´t an entirely wrong notion, but limited her movements too much for her to properly attack her foe. That was when she caught a glimpse of another EVA appearing from behind the ship, carrying a Pallet Rifle. The red head rolled her eyes, sighed and then opened an open video call with the other pilot- pilots, apparently. "Well, you chose not to listen to me. Don´t come crying afterwards saying I didn´t warn you, kids. Now that you are here, though, try to make yourself useful." She then shifted to a more professional tone and started giving instructions. "I need someone to distract the Angel from a range, use that toy gun you´ve got there. While it is distracted, one of you will take my place in shielding the civilians behind me, and the rest will stay alert to provide cover fire and help if the Angel tries something funny. Got it?" Asuka then positioned EVA 02 for sprinting when the newbies started firing, progressive knife in hand just in case she was attacked before that. "Start when you´re ready, and try not to blow it, kids"
  11. Ahmed, Ranga, Satomi, Kyou "This doesn't have anything to do with how the Evangelions were looking at us or how one of them caught the three of us doesn't it?". "I'll go, I'll go too. I can hold Beverly so she won't fall again!" "I'm sorry, please, I know I was supposed to never come here again but I didn't know where they were taking Ranga and Beverly and I just wanted to make sure they were okay. . ." Admiral Sauer gestured for the children to calm down and started answering them one by one. "It is good that you worry about your friends, but you have to understand that we are in an emergency, life or death situation. We can´t afford wating time to explain every single thing." He then looked at Ahmed and kept speaking. "And as a matter of fact, young man, it does have everything to do with it. We´re running out of time so I´ll explain it later, but it seems you´ll be able to join miss Connors and miss Durian as pilots. What do you think?"
  12. Satomi, Ranga, Kyou, Ahmed "Satomi!" Dr. Hashimoto´s shout echoed through the hangar as he threw his headphones aside and ran ou of the command center. Some of the maintenance workers had already started to move to rescue the chidren and extended a platform to the EVA´s hand so they could get out. Daisuke Hashimoto didn´t wait, however, and ran through the improvised bridge like crazy, proceeding to kneel beside Satomi and hug the air out of her. "Are you alright? Are you hurt somewhere?" Adalard seemed lost in thought for a moment while someone spoke to him through the earpiece he was wearing. Ranga only heard him answer "Is that so?" before he gently pulled her by her hand towards the near end of the bridge. "I don´t know how you kids got here." He started to say in a stern tone. "But apparently this is Fate working in our favor. Please, come here." Beverly EVA 16 reponded better this time, managing to get on it´s knees and then stand up. Beverly heard some shouting through the radio and then no answer from the voice speaking to her. After some time of silence, she heard a sigh and another voice came in. "Oh for f#ck´s sake. Are you the new pilot?" a holographic screen appeared to the left of the cockpit, showing a video feed of a red haired girl wearing some weird kind of red suit, and sitting in a cockpit just like hers - although the words marked above it indicated that was the EVA 02. She had an clearly annoyed look on her face. "Look, this idea is idiotic. You are not anywhere near the level to provide me with any support. Spare me the trouble and get back. Just imagine the EVA walking back as if it was your own body and try not to fall again, will yo- ugh!" the feed stopped for a moment and then came back with the girl´s face showing more of pain than annoyance. "Verdammt! I´ve got to focus now, just go back and don´t make me more trouble!" she barely shouted at Beverly before finishing the video call.
  13. All For a moment nothing happened, but then the Evangelion started slowly raising it´s right foot. Slowly... slowly... too slowly. "Unit 16, you´re losing balance." Beverly heard doctor Hashimoto say, clearly worried. "Focus on not fall-you´re falling already. Brace for impact!" The whole hangar shook violently when the EVA hit the floor, face first. Even in the control room Dr. Hashimoto had to be careful not to fall out of his chair, and just outside it Admiral Sauer had to grab onto the railings and hold Ranga to prevent the girl from falling down the hundred meters that separated them from the hangar´s floor. There was no one to hold Kyou, Satomi and Ahmed when the grate they where standing over opened, though. For a terrifying moment it seemed that the trio was done for. Adalard and Daisuke looked at them, three kids falling for their deaths out of nowhere, with a mix of confusion and fear. Satomi saw her father getting up and shouting her name behind the glass window of the command center, but couldn´t hear it. And then... Then a huge hand stopped their fall, holding all three on it. To those in the safety of the command center, the scene that presented itself to them was even more unbelievable than the rest of the whole situation they were in: one Evangelion holding three kids delicately on it´s hand, and other two with her heads turned towards them, as if looking at them.
  14. Beverly "Right then, just a moment." She heard Dr.Hashimoto say, any sarcasm he might have showed in the previous phrase replaced by cold professionalism. Moments later, the inside of the entry plug started flashing with colored lights in a way that was almost psychodelic, before setting for a first person view view of the outside; suddenly, Beverly could see the hangar through the EVA´s vision. "A-10 nerve connection normal. Thought interface set to English. All preliminary contacts stablished, performance nominal. synchronization rate at 25%. Removing restraints 1 through 15." Beverly could see the many metallic structures that where locking the EVA into place being taken out one by one. After the process started and the hangar was clear of personnel, Satomi´s father voice sounded again. "All right, try to walk now. Focus on one step at a time."
  15. Ranga, Kyou, Satomi The entry plug´s door closed behind Beverly, and a moment later the heavy machinery of the hangar lifted the cilinder and started to position above the back of the Evangelion´s neck. Then they heard the heavy metalic sound of it´s armour plates moving and the plug was introduced in the robot´s chest, plates closing over it again afterwards. "Will Beverly be okay if she goes alone? The red Evangelion will keep her safe, right?" Admiral Sauer looked at Ranga eyes before speaking more seriously. "I can´t promise anything, miss Durian. Actually we are in such a hurry because the pilot of Unit 02 is at her limit... She may be enough, but every reinforcement we can get for them does count." He didn´t think trying to calm Ranga down in this situation would be the best solution - they didn´t even know if Beverly would manage to move the EVA, let alone fight using it, but it was still worth the shot. Ahmed Ahmed was quick to follow the directions sent by Kyou once he received them - still went straight past the route in certain points due to over eagerness to get into an adventure, but nothing that he couldn´t handlecoming back a bit and then onwards again. He was almost arriving when he heard some well known voices beneath him, and hurried to find a grate to look through. He managed to see Beverly entering the plug, and then Oh my oh my, she IS GETTING IN THE F#RKING ROBOT! He thought he was coming to save the girls, but they were going to pilot these things? Talk about unexpected developments. The boy quickly texted Kyou to let her know he was right above the EVAs and then kept looking with his cheek pressed hard against the grate. Beverly It was a bumpy ride to get inside the EVA; once the plug actually stopped shaking and all the weird metallic noises stopped, it started to fill with LCL - an orange liquid a bit more dense than water - and a voice sounded from the cockpit´s radio. "Well miss Beverly, are you confortable? Ready to start?"
  16. Ranga, Beverly, Satomi & Kyou "You´re a brave girl, miss Beverly." Admiral Sauer told her, actually surprised at how easily the older girl accepted the absurd proposal - and not sure that it was a good thing for her. "Ok then. We´ll get you in right now and instruct you via radio. Come with me." Adalard signaled for one of the officers to start the preparations and led the girls outside of the room and near the monstrous heads of the Evangelions. There they were directed to a white, cilindric structure located behind one of the Evangelion robots. "That´s the entry plug, it´s from where you´ll pilot. Just go inside and sit on the cockpit, then we´ll set things for launch. And don´t be afraid if you feel it filling with liquid - it´s a substance called LCL, you can breath in it normally, and helps synchronizing your thoughts with the EVA." He held the door open to Beverly while the maintenance crew worked frantically around them.
  17. Beverly, Ranga, Satomi, Kyou Dr. Hashimoto's expression didn't change a bit after hearing the children out, but for some reason beverly felt something like cold hate from the man after her mention to Satomi. He didn't wait around much longer after that, going back to the monitor and putting on a headset. "... Don't mind Daisuke, he is just worried with the situation." Admiral Sauer said. "And as for your questions, yes. While I know that sounds crazy, it is the only way we have to defeat that Angel and save everyone in and outside the ship. I don't have time to explain the details now, but you two are the only ones with a chance of doing it, and the pilot we have needs backup urgently." He tried to use a calm tone after noticing Ranga's anxiety, but how much that would work with his grave voice and intimidating look was unknown to him. "She's a brave girl just like you, and she's pulling it. I know it's unreasonable, but we are in this kind of position right now. You both agree to give it a try?" Ahmed Ahmed's communicator beeped, and he hurried to check if it was a message from his parents, getting a slight disappointment upon seeing it was Kyou's. Reading it's contents, however, his eyes widened and excitement was written all over his face. Armed soldiers are taking two damsels to the monster's den? He couldn't stay out of something like that. "Sorry sis but I got to go save-some-girls-in-distress-and-maybe-convince-someone-to-let-me-pilot-a-super-cool-robot-so-bye keep an eye on little Ahmed for me." the boy said in a single breath, before turning around and dashing away shouting what he wanted to shout since the moment he woke up. "ONWARDS, TO ADVENTURE!!!" ...and leaving two really confused siblings behind.
  18. Ranga, Beverly, Satomi & Kyou Well then, let´s get going. I´t would be good if you could walk fast." The scientist said awkwardly, showing he wasn´t comfortable at all with the task he´d been entrusted with. He turned away and walked with Ranga and Beverly in tow, the guards escorting them from their sides. They walked quite a bit on the huge ship, now and then hearing the muffled sounds of the battle outside through the thick hull. Then they got through a reinforced door equipped with iris identification security, walked a bit more in a narrow corridor, and got out in the hangar that Kyou and Ahmed had found earlier. Besides the huge dimensions of the place and the all too obvious Evangelions locked in there, now they could see that the place was also a command center of sorts. People shouted orders, ran around the giant robots´ bodies checking them and doing maintenace. They were taken to a glass cabin around the level of the EVAs´ heads through a lift and there were met by a big man in blue uniform, well in his fifties by his looks, tall, with grey hair and beard and blue eyes. Along with him was the familiar face of Doctor Daisuke Hashimoto. Both of them looked away from the monitors they were watching and turned to face the girls. The big man´s concerned expression softened a bit as he looked at the children, while Dr. Hashimoto´s remained neutral. "Oh well. Beverly Connors and Ranga Durian." The big man spoke with his grave voice. "I´m Admiral Adalard Sauer, Captain of Arc-01 Noah, and this is Dr. Daisuke Hashimoto, head of the Science Division and Anti-Angel Research Team. I really wish we didn´t need to do this at all, and surely not in such short notice but..." He stopped a bit, let out a sigh, and then finished, pointing at the titans on the other side of the windows. "...Will you pilot those Evagelions for us?" Ahmed The door was opened immediately and the worried expression of his sister greeted him. "Ahmed, are you ok? Any news on father and mother?"
  19. "Uhmn, I'm afraid that's confidential young miss." the scientist replied. "And the order came from a higher autority level than that of Dr. Neummann, I'm afraid." The scientist replied to Satomi.
  20. Beverly, Kyou, Ranga & Satomi The doctor had been out for a few minutes when the door of the office opened again - and that time it wasn't the gentle Alma Neummann that entered. Two armed soldiers came escorting a man in a lab coat with his comm in hand. He looked around at the children and then asked in a rather insecure tone. "Eh... Excuse me kids. I was sent for a certain Ranga Durian and a Beverly Connors..?" He looked back at his communicator and recognized the girls from the pictures on it. "Could you two please come with me for a moment? And, uh, quick ?"
  21. Beverly, Kyou, Ranga & Satomi Doctor Alma sighed in relief when both girls arrived and then proceeded to answer Satomi's question. "I didn't believe it myself, but yes. Either an Angel or something really similar. Well, apparently they were indeed aliens and we are incredibly unlucky in our planet choices. But thinking back, the Evangelion is even more strange than the Angel itself - I thought it was forbidden to research and develop those. Someone high up must have had lots of work to keep that a secret." She then ended checking Beverly and the remembered to take a look at Kyou. She had some bruises from falling on the way, so the docter got up again. "I'll go get more bandages and take a quick look at how my team is doing. Wait just a bit." The woman said before leaving the room.
  22. Ahmed, Ranga, Beverly "Ha! Don´t worry son, I won´t die over something such as this! You need at least two of those things to get me!" Ahmed II answered, trying to pass some confidence to his son. "Now I need to turn off, see you again soon, and then we´ll be talking for another hundred years!" Then the communicator beeped and stayed silent. "I need to go and find my brother and sister, they should be inside of the ship right now, and I really want to see them just in case anything happens you know?". "Ok Ahmed, after that you can meet us on the medbay" Alma told him. Then she called both Beverly and Ranga and the trio started making their way to her work area. Lots of people were going the same way, and some med teams were even going against the flow to provide emergency care for the most wounded. They passed by some pretty seriously injured people along the way, and Alma tried her best to distract the girls from those sights. Eventually, they arrived in Alma´s office again and she opened a door for what looked like a private consultory. She put on her coat, surgical cap, mask and gloves and proceeded to take a look at Ranga and Beverly´s wounds - thankfully only light bruises that she started treating right away. "It´s alright. There isn´t even that much fighting noise anymore. Everything will be fine." Alma told them, trying to calm them down. Asuka Langley Soryu Everything was not fine. "Verdammt. Why won´t this piece of shit stay dead?" Asuka was inside the red titan, Evangelion Unit 02, sweating inside it´s cockpit. This Angel was slow but deliberate in it´s attacks, so it still took her quite some focus to avoid them and strike back. If it were other times, it would be a piece of cake to her, but fatoring her current piloting condition... She guessed no fight would ever be easy for her. Still, she did manage more than enough to smash the core on the Angel´s head to pieces - which should have killed it for good, for all her experience, but it wasn´t the case now. If anything, the monster had gotten even more ferocious. "Asuka, your sync rate is going up dangerously. Calm down and preserve yourself for a bit, I´m arranging backup to you right now." said a voice in the cockpit´s radio. "I am calm you dolt." She answered, not helping her point much. "But if I calm down anymore than that it´ll end up hitting the ship. I know what backup you´re talking about, by the way and if you have time to waste on this idiotic plan, you should use it to try and find this thing´s weak point. Not every damn kid is a Shinji, you know." Thankfully. she then mentally added. Either way, if they didn´t change this attrition game soon, things would get ugly.
  23. Ahmed "Your brother is inside the ship too along with your sister, don´t worry." Ahmed´s father spoke, relief clearly showing in his voice after learning his other son was ok as well. "I´m looking for you your mother, then I´ll be back. Go find them and wait for us ok?"
  24. All "She´s at Doctor Hashimoto´s office... I don´t know to well where it is, so you should ask her for directions through the comm." Alma then turned towards the other children. "Beverly, Ranga, Ahmed, are you alright? It would be better if we stick together for now."
  25. Kyou The communicator once again wasn´t answered, but this time Alma noticed it. "Kyou-chan, you said your parents are part of the maintenance crew right?" She asked retorically. "They may be actually busy dealing with the ship´s damage control now. In reality they may even have stayed inside for the landing procedures, don´t you think?" Of course the doctor was worried as well, but years of experience in therapy made sure none of it showed in her voice. Then she spoke to all of the kids, including Satomi on the comm. "Listen, I should go back to the medical area and I ask that you come with me too. It´s pretty deep within the ship, we can take care of your bruises and send your parents messages telling where to find us. Most of the people who were outside will be sent that way for medical care anyway, so we might run into them there. And Kyou, you could go get Satomi since you know the ship so well." That would also help distract the girl from her worries for a bit, though she didn´t add that.
