First anime was really Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh (The original series were fucking awesome, nostalgia goggles go-go). The thing that first caught my interest in these shows aside from merely awesome fantastical duels and battles was the fact that they had a continuous, if drawn out, plot. They were perfect for an inquisitive but impatient child to follow and, combined with my voracious reading habits and interest in story based games, they left me with a hungering for story that standard western cartoons lacked. So time passed and then I found Digimon. If I thought YGO and pokemon had better plots than the standard TV fare, digimon was to child me like breaking bad and the walking dead is to people now. Suddenly it's something darker and far better written, something that breached ideas and topics nothing else I had access to the time would. So, whilst I didn't know I was watching anime at the time, I kept an eye out for shows of the like. Unfortunately they were quite rare for me to find, so anime took a backseat as I read, played games and was exposed to more western media than anime. Then I noticed Jetix started airing Naruto. And again I had that sensation of a show doing something new and interesting in a way I had never seen before. Ninjas fighting battles with a cohesive story that actually had emotions and themes within, memorable characters who were distinct in their issues? My 9(I think I was 9 at least) year old mind was blown. Unfortunately Naruto stopped airing on Jetix and again anime was closed off from me until a few years later I looked Naruto up on the googles. I binged the first Part for so long, then eventually moved on to bleach which was also plastered around the site I was using. Watched 300 episodes and then finally moved on. The I started watching other series like Code Geass, Blue exorcist etc and, eventually, got hooked on seasonal anime. Thing is, I love it because of how different it can be to western media as well as how it also shares some traits with the west that are really universal. There have been awesome characters, inspirational stories and wonderous plot twists that all make me want to create a work that has as much of an impact as some of the greats.

Nikki was having serious trouble adjusting to the ferocity and vicious nature of the camerupt. It was one thing to face wild pokemon who may have been dangerous, it was another entirely to face an opponent who was certainly dead set on murder. Nikki didn't like Aethors chances of surviving an escape, even now as her mind churned she was forcing her self to run away from the Camerupts impending deadly attack. It was almost certain that they would have lost this match up even as it began and that was showing now. Nikki decided, as much as she didn't like it, she had to rely on others for help. She surveyed the battle quickly and decided that the best candidate for dispatching this camerupt quickly was one of the two trainers facing down the... thing. If she could take the place of one of them then perhaps the gyarados user could dispatch the camerupt and his damned attacks. Of course all of this was hoping Aethor even survived what Nikki was about to order him to do. "Aethor, target change, get as far away from that Camerupt as you can and Thunder the unidentified enemy, One of you two, dispatch the damn camerupt, now!" She demanded of the electrode and the two trainers as she made it out of danger of the Camerupts blast. Aethor obliged, turning all of his speed into a charge towards the other Enemy, in an effort to escape the Camerupt. Within a moment though Aethor was propelled so much faster away by the impact of the Camerupts technique, the ball winced in obvious pain as he sustained serious damage, almost losing control of the magnetic waves that sustained his strange form of flight. But he had survived and was now on the other side of the battlefield, calling Thunder as he did before and launching it at the new beast, violent and fast as was the nature of the energy.

Kanade was... Textbook Kuudere really. Her defining moment was really at the end and, whilst emotional, when I step back and think the reveal was bit of an asspull. now, OLIVIER MIRA ARMSTRONG on the other hand, complete opposite woman and absolutely awesome.

again, bear in mind that less than ideal moves competitively can be fantastic in an RP. look at Aethor, Magnet rise on something as frail as Electrode? It'd get one turn before being destroyed by another move. Here it pretty much grants him more speed and manoeuvrability than anything short of a flying type.

UBW is better. F/SN is just a jarring drop in quality from Zero. You can watch them in either order, the stories are parallels to each other, but I'd say UBW first now. Then F/SN if you're curious
