    Nikki walked in to hear the angry little exchange between those present. Nikki decided to leave them to it, even if the chauvinist who thought Miss Cane needed protection irked her. Sometimes men like him pissed her off more than the persistent guys who bothered her. It was as simple as one man seeing her as desirable and one seeing her as something to protect. Of course there were thousands of other men out there but Nikki cut her male musings short as she sat down away from the other passengers.

    Ya know, whilst they are young, none of the women in this group can really be called "Girls". They have more experience with life than most, that's for certain. Girl just has a connotation of naiveté or lack of experience that irks me

    Ozymandias leapt back from the lashing tail before immediately rushing back in and continuing the onslaught with the flamethrower, continuing to use the shaft as a makeshift club that spewed fire with every swing. Ozymandias' rage was palpable in the air and little else mattered to him. He barely registered the impact of Dexters shotgun round in his side as he continued to try battering away at the beast.

    Nikki was considering her options. They weren't heading to Arcadia directly. It was a risk to go on board simply due to the chance she may be taken further from her goal. As well as boarding a ship she had just threatened. Nikki was confident she could handle any threats. She would have to if she wanted to succeed in Arcadia. So she boarded the ship, lamenting having to spend time with these other passengers. So far they had proved gutless, annoyingly flirty or just plain unreadable. Nikki didn't like unreadable.

    Debatable. Some may say that a game must have a win or lose state as opposed to actual progression. Either way, some VNs do meet this criteria with various "Bad endings". F/SN does this every so often as your decision leads to shirous death etc EDIT: This is actually a relevant point (Yes I reread it >.<) In that progression is debatable with the various routes some VNs employ. You can progress the game. Just not the way you necessarily want

    I trust you as a host but so far we've had very little to go on. Another purpose for an introduction is to reel people in, not just build tension.

    If Nikki gets slapped down with "Too powerful for you right now" I'm going to be annoyed, ngl. Conversation is going nowhere, if threats don't take us anywhere then we truly will be stonewalled.

    "BirdJesus Christ, we just want a ride, no need to lament your bloody life story." Nikki snapped after the captains pointless speech. There were 50 quicker and politer ways to say 'No' and the man went out of his way to avoid all of them. "If you can't give us passage to Arcada, tell us where we can. Otherwise I'll have Aethor fry the whole ship so no one gets anywhere." Nikki threatened, releasing her faithfully exuberant Electrode onto the Dock, who immediately went rolling around, circling the others on the dock excitedly. Her threat was by no means empty. If the sailors needed desperately to get to Arcadia, they would find another way. And they would lead Nikki there in the process. "You ever seen what a tree looks like when struck by lightning, Fishlegs? How about I show you with the mast of your ship?"

    Varick sighed and sat back. That chess game was surprisingly quite exhilarating, the surge of surprise and panic when a piece was stolen right from beneath his nose and the moments when he finally managed to steal a key piece of his own were something he could develop a taste for. Still Varicks mind was brought to the present by the Crimson knights question. "Our third member... I have no clue really. You don't suppose someone decided to take pre-emptive action before the Clash?"

    Everything slowed down for Bobby. Is she dead? She can't be dead, no we're only just learning how to fight! No one dies during the tutorial, it's practically impossible unless you're bloody trying! Another voice echoed, deeper and far darker If she isn't dead, she will be soon. Move. Bobbys voice wavered slightly. I can't The deeper voice resounded once more, almost deafening. Then I will Life flared into Ozymandias' clothes and hair, alight with power and his face burning with rage. He summoned the large flamethrower contraption and rushed towards the beast, swinging the nozzle towards it's face like a club as he pulled the trigger, flame spilling out after it in a bright arc, illuminating the horrifying ituation further.

    Varick took the seat, ready to make the first move. "Let's fail spectacularly shall we?" Varicks strategy was based around trying to control the board as he moved his knight forward. It was difficult most of the time for him to think of all the different places the pieces could be at one time but he managed to maneuver his pieces into positions to defend each other or prevent his opponents pieces from moving into position to take his own. It was a defensive strategy if ever there was one.

      Yea, different things fro different people. Not going to try to "convert" you or whatever. Not my business to tell you what to like and what to not like after all XD.

      Personally, I liked the older better overall. The parts of FMA that I like were more prevalent in it

      However, Brotherhood did manage to spawn some great characters Greed!Ling is one of my favorite characters of all time

    It's actually incredibly easy to start a Short Story, provided have a topic.Unfortunately so far they are all truly short and I can't say I enjoy the rushed nature of the story so far.

    Varick snorted in his first expression of genuine mirth since arriving after his death. "I have no chance in the world of besting you after that display and yet you still ask me if I want to play?" He asked with mild dismay and obvious amusement. It was truly surreal how he had played, incomprehensible to Varick. One moment Varick thought Neville was fine and then in a blink the board was in the Crimson Knights control, checkmate. Then again, what true harm could it do? "I suppose we can play whilst we wait...Any tips?" Varick asked of Neville, half as a joke and half as a serious request.

    Nikki was starting to get annoyed with the lack of actual communication, She was not one to accommodate things like sign language. "So we find the captain? What are we waiting for then, let's find the guy." She said, declaring the obvious course of action as she walked off briskly, looking around the dock for someone looking more important than Big Boy Blue.
