because people are too busy creating porn games for VR. IDK, Rnger just doesn't seem likely. It worked well with the DS but the new age of technology isn't too hospitable to this kind of gae. As I pointed out, a lot of the mecanis were based around flat sprites. with 3d graphics, how will you control the stylus well? PR just doesn't work well in the 3rd dimension

Timey-wimey plots do actually feel like a massive cop-out a lot of the time to me. It's not simply confusing, it just makes me think the world doesn't have enough interesting Locales to explore, so they use time to justify a change in environment AND padding the game.

I, uh, I think this topic need be locked down. Past discussions in more private areas have gone unpleasant, leaving this open to a more public sector where ANYONE can comment may not be the best idea really. I get this may not be fair to the original poster, being unable to access such private areas but I really don't see this going anywhere good or productive.

Their forces broke, Varicks senses were assaulted by more than just the stench of the battlefield and the sound of war cries. The retreat was ordered, even though most of the cowards had fled already. However Varick knew. The horde of Orcs facing them would not relent. The moment they turned to retreat and flee it was over. Varick and all his fellows would be trampled and butchered by the charge. There was no way they could retreat. And so Varick went to his death. He fought and fought and fought on until finally he was taken. No man could fight forever, And so Varick found himself once more, reliving those memories on his back. He got up and the purple figure approached. Varick just gave a weary sigh. "Varick Harudim. Why am I not becoming a skeleton right now?" No point beating around the bush. Varick knew some otherworldly things were going to happen. If they didn't happen in the afterlife, where else?

So yeah, Shokugeki is turning out to be so, so much more than what it seemed to be at first glance. So much character development....
