New RP(Kinda-ish) [Interest Check]
Felicity replied to Felicity's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Ah, 5 people. I'll get to work on the sign ups tomorrow then. If you have an idea for a Gift, feel free to say it in the sign ups, unless you're unsure if you think I'll revise it, then PM me if you wish. This'll only happen in cases where the power is designed for any and every situation though or there is no drawback to it and it's fairly strong. I.e you can fling homing bullets of light as much as you want. @Huk, that'd be great. Just fire away at me in a PM. -

Hmm, good questions. Lemme answer: Think just before steam machines and the industrial era. A fantasy world on the verge of industry, if you will. The various Gifted abilities would have accelerated the process, but people who despise the gifted naturally refused their help, so they aren't as advanced. No. The school is simply where most characters, unless specified otherwise, would have learned how to use their abilities. However, this does not mean knowing how to break physics in an overly complicated way to counter any and every attack or situation. PCs don't have to have gone to the school, but they must either specify another reason why they understand their ability, I.e a mentor, or forfeit that right. No specific powers are hereditary, but chances of having a Gift and having a similar concept for that gift is common amongst families. For example, if a father can manipulate fire, the son/daughter may be able to breathe it or something else fire related. A short backstory will be required, but I'll explain more on this if I put up sign ups. As for writing, so long as it's understandable, write however you like. Just note, better quality posts are just better for everyone period. Everyone has their own writing style, so find yours and rock out with it. -
And now. WE DANCE!

Anyways, I won't be posting anymore tonight, seeing as I need someone else to interact with the panicking Claude
-
We all will.
-
I'm not gonna lie, it's a solid team, but I can see it being drop kicked by a mono weather team in the right hands which we will have to face.
-
8/10 Looks like a guy who gets shit done, to me, great art too.

Well without the pixilate, I don't know how effective Hyper voice can be, but the only thing I can see that is weird is that Blisseys EV distribution. It can't eat physical hits anyway, so why put investment there anyway? Personally, I'd max out the health, but hey, that's not the important part, that can be swapped up anytime. Moves cannot. Overall, looks good. to me.

Pokémon Academy: Ch 2a: Dragons [IC]
Felicity replied to Chim's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
When the small little Tyrunts charged at the group, Claude was naturally quite reluctant. When one of the tyrunts began tugging on Claude, he very gingerly went along with the small pokemon, it led him around, trying to play with Claude but the boy was too unresponsive, too scared to do much of anything. Soon enough, it left him to go play with one of the others, making Claude sigh with relief. Lancelot was amidst the crowd, trying to fight the dragons, bu to being mistaken for a play mate. Meanwhile, Doux was maintaaining a distance from Claude, wanting him to deal with the situation on his own. After being abandoned by the Tyrunt for another student, Claude went to watch the fray from a distance, leaning on a tree when he heard a menacing growl. Claude turned and saw a seperate Tyrunt glaring at Claude. Claude gave a small "meep", hopping backwards several feet, when the Tyrunt stopped growling and glaring, simply staring at Claude with no visible animosity. It wasn't until Claude looked around the area that there was a circle drawn in the ground by what looked to be a claw in a 5 meter diameter around the Tyrunt, with her at it's center. Claude was still very nervous, but he thought to himself, I need to at least Try to interact with these little horrors. And so, Claude took a few steps forward. When he reached the edge of the circle, the tyrunt became visibly more tense, glaring but not quite growling. When Claude put a foot into the circle as a test, the Tyrunt almost leaped, growling loudly now.Claude once more stepped back, making the Tyrunt cease growling. Despite himself, Claude almost giggled. He put his foot in once more, then out, repeating this a few times, causing intermittent growling by the Tyrunt, who thought nothing of it, so long as he didn't enter. Finally, Claude decided to finish playing, something he never expected to do, and turned to walk away. The tyrunt though, she was curious. why did the boy come, and repeatedly tease a challenge, only to leave? As Claude walked away, he could hear light footfalls. The tyrunt had chosen to follow him, confused about what he was doing. Claude dismissed it, hoping to his whole heart that it would lose interest, and he wandered away. The tyrunt maintained the distance though, carefully following Claude at a distance. They were still a little further away from the main group, but as Claude got nearer to them, the tyrunt got more skittish, nervous about interacting. Claude frowned, not sure why she seemed so... anti-Social? What was it recently... Ever since coming to Ymora, he'd met two type of people, those who stuck in the mind whether you want them to or not, and those who tried to fade into a jumble of hazy memories, not wanting to interact. Claude sighed, Oddly, his fear of the enigmatic tyrunt had faded, he knew she wasn't really dangerous., so he waited for it to approach. Eventually, Claude heard the light footfalls next to him, and heard the tyrunt snorting, sniffing Claude, gauging the factors that only a pokemon knew of. Claude opened his eyes and asked "What are you doing you little horror?" Not expecting an answer, he sighed. However, the tyrunt was caught off Guard. She didn't like this. She immediately leapt onto Claude sending them both down to the ground, though seeing as he was sitting down, it didn't cause any damage. Doing so, a few of Claudes spare pokeballs rolled away from Claude. He flung the angry little tyrunt away, trying to get her of as she tried to bite him, when she landed on one of these pokeballs. It opened, and with a flash of light, the tyrunt was brought into it. The ball whirled where it lay, the tyrunts struggles evident as it shook, until eventually... it broke out. Claude sighed his relief, glad that he didn't have to deal with the possible outcome if the tyrunt had been caught... Unfortunately, the tyrunt, who had never seen the pokeball, immediately investigated the contraption, pressing the button once more in curiosity. Again, a light, the ball shook, but this time, there was a ping to confirm the capture of the tyrunt... Claude was mortified, he stood in silence until eventually it dawned on him that he should talk to Devin. He immediately picked up the ball and ran around like a headless chicken, looking for the teacher in panic. -

Ok, Ideally need 4-5 people to take part, so I'll give it a couple more days for people to check this out. -
I;d say Vinny. With his move set, he's kinda meh. Ideally, you want to lead with it, Sash it, set up an SD then proceed to Beat up anything that come your way. If you changed his moveset, then I'd replace Torterra. Especially if you give the gardevoir a grass move as coverage. (Ideally you'd gice her a coverage moveset in this case so you can swap between Life orb to hit hard, and lefties to maintain survivability.)
-
Oof, I don't know how violent to make Claudes reaction. Before, he was shocked and scared out of his mind. This time, he knew what was coming, but there's MORE of the little buggers...
-
Derp, I was thinking straight OU. Regardless, Gardevoir still fits the bill whilst having attacking power.
-
Rock slide, a blizzarder, Heatwave, Hyper voicers. Mega gardevoir could help you cover your special side, it gets Heal bell, wish, it's stupid strong on the special side.
-
Hmmm. In terms of how the overall team looks, you need to cover general bases a lot more, Grab a special wall that really just focuses on eating the hits, maybe something that covers ice types wel. I personally like Slowking for that what with it's great typing and Movepool/recovery. I'd suggest replacing Erce/Talon seeing as they essentially do the exact same job but Talon pt in a lot f work for thse who Vs Cedar.. Furthermore, you have no support, no HBeller, which is dangerous on a team like this which focuses on hitting hard and fast and can be easily crippled with statuses. Mabe a chansey would do well. Also, try putting on some more coverage for triples. EQ is decent, but if the Flying leader decides it's triples time, you're boned

"Yeah, I'm not particularly enraptured by the supposed allure that comes from dragons and the power they weild. I didn't pick Lance for any reason other than a vague feeling I had. If I do catch something on this trip, it'll be because I know they're for me and vice versa. i'll let fate choose these things." Claude said. As the topic changed, more of Claudes showy nature showed through his tone and body language now. -

Relieved that Mareek wasn't too pissed with him, Claude knelt down to look at the Cubone "Well, looks like you got lucky and found a nice trainer, eh?" Claude looked up at Mareek. "Well, sounds like that Swellows just one of those pokemon at the top of the pecking order. It probably took your intervention to stop the Swellows actions. God knows what I would have done. My friends aren't exactly happy with Flying types..." -
Yeah, I figured there had to be some sort of Faux pas. Claude may be sociable, but he's far from perfect when getting to know people.

Claude cursed himself, afraid that his comment might spark this kind of reaction. " Shit, you're a better man than I, god knows I would have been that way. You're right, I shouldn't have speculated without knowing who really you are or what you've been through, but damn if I didn't at least try to empathise with you a little. That's what brought about that comment. But if you still want to kick my ass, fine. Just do it somewhere you won't get in trouble for it. Like hell am I gonna get someone expelled by pissing them off." Claude fifnished, honest and hoping Mareek wasn't still too hurt about his comment. -
Like I said, I've not been in his situation. It's as accurate as speculation, something that I've been very wrong with in the past.
