  1. With a sigh and a shake of his head Jorgen relaxed. "This mission is gonna be riddled with pitfalls set for us, I reckon. I hope those of you more versed in espionage than this battered piece of metal are capable of stealth and subtlety. I'd really prefer to err on the side of caution and not need to throw my weight around." Jorgen's eyes flicked between the faces of those present. He really wasn't happy with this mission in hindsight and he had to wonder why he had been brought on board, he'd do it regardless for his superiors of course. Certainly he felt like a pawn in someones game. Then again, why wouldn't he? He had a job to do.
  2. FUCK I'M A NINJA, A SNACK NINJA!

  3. I think I just watched the most deceptive advert in my life.

it was an ad for league. They had an adorable young girl describe the game. It seemed so innocent. I expected it to devolve into salt, but it never did.

Yeah, I don't know.. but German commercials can be weird sometimes.

Take this one from a German supermarket as an example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNtYHswzFzM.

  4. Jorgen shook his head. "No sir. I'm at your disposal." They didn't have any handlers. The only people stopping them from stabbing each other in the back was everyone else.
  5. I think i'm lucky to have seen some of what I've seen before y standards rose. More fun for me.

  6. Well, the worst habit I have is R7, and no it is not masturbation see what I did there? so I'll not detail that one. My second worst habit is procrastination. If I don't want to do something you can bet your bottom dollar I will do everything I can to stall until the need to either passes or reaches critical levels.
  7. Jorgen spoke up. He had questions. "Why are you heading things then? Wouldn't having a demon lead the efforts to snake out the people who killed an angel make failure a higher risk? It's that much easier to cry conspiracy if we fail, which is a very real possibility to be frank. Or are you not the head honcho for this task?" And how could they trust Vermilio? It would be a stroke of genius to have the guy in charge of finding you in your pocket, ready to fail spectacularly and in your favour. Jorgen didn't dare blurt this out though, alerting Vermilio to his suspicions would have been beyond stupid if he had no confirmation. Politics and subterfuge were tricky businesses that Jorgen didn't particularly like anymore. Especially when people got hurt...
  8. Dude the final few minutes of BI is an utter mindfuck and it's great, are you sure those friends weren't being sarcastic?
  9. I mean not having a true form is one thing but anything with any kind of magical sense would be able to distinguish a big, bad, old muthafucka, right? If she's that old, she's probably the source of legends of shapechangers. With that in mind and the fact that people are dealing with the literal possibility of anything and it only makes sense for someone wary to pay attention to their spine and any chills it may feel. I've specifically avoided Jorgen noting anything cuz he wouldn't have any predisposition, knowledge or sense to pay any attention to Bom beyond looking at her as she speaks but I wouldn't put it past any other character more related to magic and such.
  10. "Luna didn't say anything to Vermillo. All she did was raise an eyebrow. Crossing her arms together she just stared at him, a grin on her face." You don't have to say anything to come off as a little arrogant. It was probably this first bit of body language that put the impression in peoples minds and I think it's a fair assessment. The cocked eyebrow and crossed arms gives off a bit off a languid vibe with the silence, as though she doesn't have to answer or is taking her time, this becomes smug when you throw in the grin. EDIT: The dialogue also comes across as either cryptic or snooty at the flip of a coin.
  11. Jorgen contemplated flicking Karol's nose just to annoy her again but shrugged instead. Pushing things too far wouldn't help. She already had some sort of spiteful nickname for him already. Her phrasing indicated she had an issue with mankind specifically, if the issue was not with Jorgen individually then chances were he could prove himself to be an exception. Spiteful actions like flicking once more just wouldn't help that. He still wanted to do it though, quite a lot. He then turned to wave at Bargus with a big ol' smile. "Nice to meet you friend. Let's get along eh?"
  12. Jorgen stood abruptly and marched over to Karol. On the short way, he nodded to Jarvis. "Of course the invitation for drinks is extended to you friend." When he got to Karol he leaned over and very carefully flicked her nose. He hoped he hadn't broke it but he wasn't really made for small gestures. He'd have preferred to have picked her up and shaken her just to thoroughly wake her up but alas, it was not possible."It is incredibly rude to sleep when others are talking to you." Jorgen sad in a stern tone of voice, as though he was talking to a petulant child.
  13. Jorgen sat once more, ready to listen to the last of the introductions. This was good. The beginning of a dynamic between them. Knowing where everyone stood with each other made it easier to manipulate the actions people would take on the battlefield. Knowing what people would do had it's obvious advantages, Jorgen noted a few quiet people, certainly this group had its fair share of reserved individuals. Maybe he could goad them into interacting. Even if they disliked him, one less unknown would go a long way.
  14. It's the height of writing prowess to create a character for whom people care about to an intense degree. To have someone so invested in a characters well being that it invokes tears of joy or sorrow, depending on the events. That said, I think it speaks to a certain amount of self-entitlement to assume you can claim to love this character, genuinely love and want a romantic relationship with this character. A character is like the creators child and yet, as crass and horrific as it sounds with what I just said, they are still the creators intellectual property. You do not know that character to such a degree, the only person who does is the creator and they represent that character in very specific ways. Theoretically, if you truly love your waifu you should also be in love with the person who made them, because they're really the creator pulling the strings and saying the things, the mind behind the mask. It's quite ridiculous to say you love a character when you probably can't even name the artist who designed them or the writer who produced their dialogue. The people who, together, formed this character.
  15. I mean Jorgen is mainly made of metal. Gabriel would probably break his fangs on Jorgen's neck.
  16. There are many games I haven't beaten simply because I lost interest in them or found something else to entertain them. Those are the less interesting cases so I'll talk about the ones I could not beat due to actual difficulty and actively dropped instead of letting them fall by the wayside. Lost Magic is an old ass little known Ds game that tried to be an RTS. You control a mage and a few monsters and direct them through a level to achieve an objective, typically beating a certain boss. You could use the mage to cast particular spells by drawing sigils on the touch screen. I did technically beat the story but I did so by taking what felt like the easy way out in the story. On one particular route you gain the ability to draw three elemental runes and thus cast the highest tier of magic. In doing so you get much stronger and can catch much stronger monster units. The later stages of the game get very, very hard without this. The next is They Bleed Pixels. I set this down on the fifth dream or so, where I just could not beat the damn level or make any progres. A very hard platformer that i'd still reccomend even with the difficulty. Maybe you'll do better where I failed. Also XCOM on any difficulty other than normal cuz FUCK THAT GAME AND ITS RNG. The RNG really gets tilted on higher difficulties and it gets to be pretty bullshit.
  17. Jorgen couldn't help smirking. It was either a damned aggressive way to make friends or a few cracks at the oh so serious group, bth approaches he could appreciate. He awkwardly tried to shrug, despite his predicament, dragging his metal arms across the two next to him in the process, catching them a little with the joints. "Well, you can't say I didn't try." He then grinned, worked his arms free and added his own arms to the embrace, crushing Misara and Gabriel with his own hug. "My CO isn't fond of you other races, at least now I can say I tried to be cold at first in my report! Ha!" Jorgen chortled, possibly obnoxiously considering his proximity with the others. "Where's that oil can? I'd like to toast to new friends, yeah?"
  18. What Huk said. Essays aren't expected but start with how a character says something then maybe try some expansion into what the character may be thinking, maybe what their expression or body language is like.
  19. I really wish netflix wouldn't skip the opening for FMA, they're half the reason i watch the show

  20. There isn't anything to base that off of aside from what you as a person knew. Misara wouldn't be able to know unless maybe she gets that kind of thought a lot and is very insecure about it. Doing something like this is known as metagaming, using what you know in an RP when your own character wouldn't have a clue. Metagaming is frowned upon if the host is lax and outright banned if not.
  21. Jorgen stood, his spine was straight as a ruler and his arms plastered to his side as he barked out his introduction. "I am Jorgen Von Bashfist. I am here on orders from my superiors to aid the alliance, primarily in combative measures. My training did not take into account extraordinary capabilities from extraordinary individuals so I shall trust you all know your business. I specialise in close quarters combat and out of combat menial labour that requires a large amount of physical strength." Jorgen's gaze quickly glanced at Gabriel, sizing him up. "I'd like to keep this professional. So long as the operation comes before personal motives, we won't have any issues."
