Ok, here's another interest check. Some might remember a while ago that I tried running my own RP once as opposed to cohosting someone elses RP. Brailens Gifted. It got off the ground for a bit but I shut it down because I saw many small little quirks and issues with the world at large that I felt would be detrimental to the RP. I shut it down and said I'd work on it. For the longest time the idea slept. Now I'm thinking of reopening it in time with a very simple solution. What I had been trying to do before was make a world that facilitated superhero like fights and such without the base moral conflicts that most superhero stories centre themselves around. Good vs evil actually being an illusion and that kinda stuff. I did this by trying to detach the world and make it something that didn't really resemble the modern world. Dong this is what led to the issues mentioned beforehand to be honest. Half baked worlds hurt things kids. So, if anyone shows interest, I'll start this up set in a modern world, not quite Earth mind you, where you all take on the roles of people with superpowers. The story would centre around finding the answers to how these powers came about and what the hell happened to set the various factions at each others throats. If this goes well we'll then expand and see about bringing a resolution to the conflict in this world. So, anyone in? C'mon, think of the amount of jokes we could make about all the superheroes in the movies nowadays! Also, PvP would be a part of this RP as you each pick whichever faction you want to be with.

Don't acknowledge the issue anymore people. Whether he's seeking attention or not, acknowledging it will keep the topic going. So, I tried nami today and I've been liking Blitz recently. Janna and Morg are still my faves so barring Alistar and Braum, any other good supports right now?

Forgive me if this is not the case but I can't remember anyone making a thread like this. I'm curious as to what your ideal partner is like. Seeing as it's unfair to ask of any of you without answering myself, for me I guess I'd like someone who can talk for hours on end. I'm far, far better at listening than talking myself. Ideally they'd be talking about stuff I have an interest in too. I'd love to weeb out with someone without someone saying "God, you're such weebs" or to chat shit about the latest games and such. I suppose after that I'd like for them to be largely independent too. I've seen what happens to couples who you can't seperate and it's not nice. Absence makes the heart grow fond and, so long as it's not growing fond of someone else, I'm happy.

Also I do wish the first option didn't make me sound like an ass for picking it. I don't particularly like the idea but I don't hate it either. I just wouldn't put in for the RP if this was the requirement.

I get that a level of effort is expected in an rp as well as anyone. However I think this is a bit of overkill, to put it simply, because you can do the same checks with a simple character sheet. I'm sure you know that after a certain amount of time you can discern which applications took twenty minutes, two hours or even a couple of days based on who the RPer is, one of the advantages of a small community, and the quality of the app. I will concede that the main advantage of this method would be the capability to simply check writing skill. An app can look beautiful but then as the RP starts all you can get is one liners or maybe a couple of paragraphs restating what the host posted beforehand. On the flipside though that lends a sense of elitism to the RP which could be productive to the rp as a whole by increasing post quality but detrimental to the community as it deters newer RPers who see this quality but haven't got much writing experience themselves. It's one of the issues I thought of when Huk opened Heartless souls and explicitly stated he was looking for a particular level of skill in his players, though I let it be because he is a veteran RPer who was made the head of this place for more reason than being as old as the cyberwalls.

Descriptive essays sounds like homework. I'll write an essay if I'm highly interested in a topic. I'm not about to do so to possibly get into an RP which may very well flop on its face.

maaaaaybe it's a cyclical power thing. Spring has power over winter, summer power over spring, fall over summer. The elemental cycle. I have no evidence to back that up but it makes a sense to the pokenerd within. Or it could be that it was a guarantee to make sure the fight didn't end in a draw. Restraining someone is much harder than killing them.

btw, any of ya'll think Ruby is Winter? I've got two things really to back this up. One is that the burst of silver light that froze the Grimm was a white aura that seemed to come from her eyes. A parallel to how the fall maidens power is an orange aura around the maidens eyes. Furthermore in the very first instance of seeing Ruby in the series iirc, I think, she's surrounded by snow, right? Bit of foreshadowing? I also think Cinder is the summer maiden. This is because her main element before becoming the fall maiden, and even after, was fire, the element associated with summer. She's also incredibly powerful beforehand and she would be a prime target for corruption by the Grimm as well as be a better candidate to hold the maiden powers. It also serves to further reinforce the arch nemesis theme between her and Ruby, if my prior idea is right.

Okokokokok, I'm glad I was right because for the longest time I thought you were the same person but I never was perfectly sure, alts confuse me. Also, I sincerely need to thank you. A long while back I was feeling down in the dumps and that showed on the forum. You reached out to me and asked what was up and that was a huge relief for me back then. It also helped prove in my mind that kindness can be found with any stranger and that's something that still sticks with me today. So really, thank you for that.
