I've only played reborn and insurgence, and I'm actually not too fond of how easy insurgence makes everything. With getting fly and access to so many good pokes so early, I feel like it's less of an exciting journey and more of a lines of baddies I need to line up and dispose of. Cause nothing short of a team full of legends is going to stop me now. I should not have a team so good that I have no reason to want the mew they are building up for me. Sure, the game was hard at the start, but that was due to two things: A. The fact I was doing a mono bug run and almost everything was stacked against me B. The level scaling is absolutely absurd. Trainers will raise like 5 levels from one end of the route to the next, leaving little room catching up and a ton of grinding.

Aw, guess I missed this topic since I've been gone. But yeah, you needed a ton of luck in this battle if you missed both masquerain and prankster illumuise/volbeat. Rain dance is a big help, and water sport

I am still so disappointed that Mega Masquerain wasn't released. Bug/Water Ability (idk doesn't really matter to me, maybe regenerator? Hydration? Compound eyes?) HP: 70 Atk: 60 Def: 92/82 SpA: 90/100 SpD: 102 Spe: 100 A nice bulky bug, can boost Stats with quiver dance, burn with scald. It's almost like a water volc. It also has the benefit of being able to intimidate before it megas. And bug FINALLY gets a poke that can use water moves decently. Douse-drive genesect is such a waste

Darnit, ORAS, making the Reborn team work on applying your dumb updates. I would have rather had a new episode than ORAS

Aw, but I probably wouldn't be able to make it anyway if it was any time other than Friday morning. Hopefully I'll be able to watch though. You better represent the bug type with honor!

Lol. It's really astounding that at the beginning of the game we're able to beat Taka and Zel and the PULSE before heather can beat Corey.

You have to level it up during a sunny day

Make your starter a random early poke you can catch like whismur, budew, grimer, etc. in my experience it makes you more attached. I'd not then just pick a good one like froakie, torchic, or something

Yeah, breeding is nice but very unneccessary

You cannot turn it down. But you can mute it by right clicking the window of the game and going to options

I love the idea of swapping bodies with someone like taka, and even more the idea of fighting your allies with that persons body. The setup: Your group here's about a new PULSE meteor is designing and decides they should destroy it before it can be used. You find it first and it swaps your body with Taka or something. Once you swap you do some infiltration or something, not sure really. But eventually an alert goes out that the base has been infiltrated and you have to defend the PULSE from being destroyed by Cain, Shelly and everyone. Because obviously if it's destroyed you're stuck in that body forever.Maybe you can even tag team with Sirius and even use the PULSE pokemon. It sounds real fun and gives you the chance to rebattle everyone's updated teams. Although I don't know how it will work without your own team

Trainer up a muk, had it learn memento, then use memento. Rest of my team took it down easy after the stat drops

Well, fairy was easy back when you had early access to ralts. Now I guess you would need to be pretty strategic. Maybe a trick room team could work

On my main team, just 6. Sure when I catch something I like I'll use it, but something else will be dropped. I'm confident in my team core to take any challenge. However on my special runs it is different. Like my mono bug run I have about...10-11 pokes battle ready. And I don't even have my scizor, volcarona, or mega pinsir yet.

By type difficulty, Ciel and Titania should be ruling this league. (I know some here are doubting the power of flying, but it is the most powerful monotype right now). Only problem is Ciel can't use Zapdos or landorus etc. So, her flying team won't be super OP. But don't underestimate the power of a Skarmory/Togekiss/Gliscor stall core. Oh, and a gyrados or something too to eat up those ice beams. Also, Titania can't use heatran. Poor girl, has to resort to heatproof Bronzongs. She's gonna get rekt.

Charolette shouldn't be too hard to ice. There are plenty of ice/water types, no shortage of thick fat. Eq or blizzard kills her field effect. Rain dance is available too.

This makes me want to create a Bug Catcher sprite to use for my bug mono run.

Oh I would still recommend taking the other path next time. There is a TON more of extra dialogue, all of which I prefer to the other path
