  1. Agreed And since we're talking gen 1
  2. "House of Leaves" by Mark Danielweski is certainly an...odd book, but I have yet to read anything better.
  3. I highly doubt any gym leader will have Mega Evolutions. The game is based on the old online league, in which only the champ was permitted only 1 Legendary/Mega, the leaders didn't get any.

    SHOAL SALT

I don't think it has any use at the moment. It might just be a temporary replacement until Shed Shells actually work? Iirc, the one we used to be able to find around Citae, which was removed for E13/14, didn't work as it should've.
  5. As much of a disappointment Hotline Miami 2 was for me, there's no denying they still know their stuff when it comes to music.
  6. Check the Pinned Location Guide in this section to see what's obtainable. For everything else, wait and pray.
  7. Considering the topic you just made, I'm surprised you didn't get turnED down for Ace. Bad jokes aside, congrats!
  8. What made you choose that name?
  9. I know what you mean, but then again, the only purpose of those items is saving time, difficulty isn't altered in any way.
  10. Well, that's kinda natural. I mean, the beginning tells us how everything's bad, then we found out Team Meteor is at fault, then we started going after them; there's only so much time you can spend with any part, gotta move on; and in this case, move out. And the environment is about the only thing that's changed; yeah, the City has the lake and previous earthquakes, but Spinel had the Abra, whatever-its-called City has the Sleep Pulse, the mountain was blocked off so people could starve. We're getting to new areas that look nicer, but every area has it's own troubles, they just have more grass is the only real difference. Well, increasing the cost of items has never been a thing in any Pokemon game and, honestly, who even uses 'em? The only money I ever spent was on the Power Items, the Daycare and that one staircase. Even if things were more expensive, who'd care? Speaking of Power Items, I definitely do not agree with only some being obtainable. Their only purpose is to speed things up, so it wouldn't even matter if we were given them for free. And they're not even that cheap, when you first get access to them, unless you sell everything you have, you'll only get 2 at best. You also have to keep in mind that higher difficulty means more failures which means people will be buying more stuff. Considering that we have no way to grind for money, increasing the cost of things combined with over-all difficulty would just be artificial difficulty. As for availability, do keep in mind that 1) all Pokemon are supposed to be obtainable by the end and 2) there's only 5 more episodes to go. You can limit what's obtainable (and how much of it is) only by so much if we're already 75% through the game already. And for not-gym-leaders being easier than gym leaders, figures! They're supposed to be the greatest challenge around, can't have a random grunt be as strong as a gym leader. And you're also looking past the challenge of the Pulses (except for Tangrowth because of the field or Acid Spray/Screech) and other random events, like the Taka and Zel double battle, gym leaders definitely aren't the only source of a good challenge.
  11. Hate to be "that guy", but we've got a topic for exactly this kinda stuff. http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=13527
  12. Sure thing. Heliolisk gets all the moves I mentioned even in this episode and for Scrafty, you just need an Altaria or something from the Kingdra line and Hitmonchan>something-from-the-Buneary line for the punches.
  13. ^^Last Resort is a really bad move for it since it's physical, despite the Pixilate boost. The main reason for that is that it can get Trump Card, a 390 BP nuke.
  14. Can confirm. It uses the foe's stat and boosts and the users burn/not-burn into account...for some reason. Thanks for the team! EDIT: By the way, what's the 88 Speed on Rotom for?
  15. Welp, before I get to your main questions, there's some stuff you can improve with your current members. -For Serperior, ditch Sub. Unlike comp, you'll be attacked and losing your Sub 99% of the time. Leech Seed will also do negligible damage compared to any attack. So, instead of those 2 moves, I'd say get Wring Out for a 120 BP move for stuff that resists Leaf Storm and either Glare for when you know Serperior won't be doing much or Nature Power. -Also, Hidden Power Ice is unnecessary. Rock covers all of Grass' weaknesses except for Poison or you can use Fire(ideally)/Ground for the best coverage: -Iiiiiii'd say get rid of it. Meowstic is early-game material. -Since you have a Ninetales and you say you'd like another Special attacker, Solar Power Heliolisk would be a great addition. Thunderbolt, Grass Knot, Hidden Power Ice (Ice moves don't get weakened by Sunlight) and Dark Pulse let this thing do serious damage under the sun and even without it. Still, get that Ninetales a Heat Rock. -If you go back to pre-E13, you can get Ninetales Energy Ball. You can also ditch Extrasensory for HP Rock, which gives you perfect coverage. Although I'd say you should ditch Nasty Plot instead and keep Extrasensory, Sun-boosted STAB Flamethrower hurts like hell anyways and even if you go down quickly, there's Heliolisk to use that sun. -Waterfall>>Aqua Tail. Also, Rain Dance is worthless. Aqua Jet would be muuuch better. You could also ditch Superpower for Belly Drum, but your current set+Aqua Jet works too. -If you for some reason don't want Aqua Jet, Bounce from the Circus tutor works too. -If you go back to pre-E13, you can get EQ onto Gigalith. I'd say ditch all moves you have except for Rock Slide and get EQ, Heavy Slam and Curse (the last 2 can be gotten even without going back to pre-E13). For your potential 6th, all of those have better sets. Heracross can get EQ and Rock Slide from pre-E13, Scrafty gets Dragon Dance and the Elemental Punches and Lucario can get Nasty Plot and Vacuum Wave instead of Calm Mind and whatever 4th move (in which case Shadow Ball provides muuuuuuch better coverage, perfect neutral coverage in fact) or you can use a physical Lucario with SD, HJK, E-Speed and Bullet Punch. -You'd have quite the Ground weakness going if you add Lucario, so I'd say get Scrafty. -Also, there are no Leftovers. -Also also, as awesome as Espeon is, it gets next to nothing useful in Reborn, so I'd say skip it.
  16. Chandelure @ Choice Scarf Ability: Infiltrator EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Timid Nature - Flamethrower - Shadow Ball - Hidden Power Ice - Memento Absol @ Absolite Ability: Justified EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Swords Dance - Sucker Punch - Knock Off - Play Rough By the way, on the Porygon/Banette team, what could replace Skarmory to make the team more offensive? I'm having fun with the team, but it's a bit too slow for me...
  17. ^^Speaking of Arbok, Acid Spray makes that Clefable a push-over. As for stuff useful against everything Noel has, Hustle Durant annihilates everything in it's path (except for maybe-Swellow if you don't EV train Durant)
  18. Darumaka isn't available when you listed it, since you need to trade a Luvdisc for it.
  19. Just for that, I kinda don't think this would work out just yet. A lot of what we "know" is just speculation, not much of anything is really confirmed at this point, so it'd be kinda hard to make a database. Maybe once we have concrete information, sure.
  20. Eh, depends on the team. Status moves aren't that common anyways and maybe that Meganium is part of a rather Fire-weak team, who knows.
  21. As much as I hate to say it, don't use it. Meganium is my favorite starter of all, but it just doesn't work. Your best bet would be some support-y set with Body Slam, Reflect, Light Screen and I guess Petal Blizzard, but there's way better defensive stuff in the game, and this isn't a game in which defensive stuff is useful. You could try to run an offensive set on it, but almost everything outclasses it.
  22. Basically: To quote the guy through whose statuses I discovered the genre(?).
  23. The DogeToge line. The show made me loathe 'em, that waste of egg-shaped space even made me stop watching the show. Everyone's acting like it "gracing" the universe with it's existence is the best goddamn thing to ever happen, while it never does anything other than cause trouble, it's completely worthless, it should not exist.
