  1. The search feature, when viewing a topic let's you search "This Topic", please do try to use that next time. Anyways, that was already requested and it was given the ok (on like page 22 iirc). It'll be included in the next update as part of the download.
  2. I think he's questioning the Ability rather than the move. You'd get much more benefit out Sunny Day if you used an Ability Capsule on your Charizard and gave it Solar Power as it's ability.
  3. Pretty sure he means changing, say, the movement from the arrows to WASD. I recall asking about that waaay back and I don't think that'll happen for a while, if ever.

    "The Axe"

There's that and the fact that, the worse the starter, the better the item would have to be then. So everyone would either still pick a really good starter or pick something like Chikorita, grab whatever good item it has and box it forever. To prevent the latter, perhaps the item could be bound to the starter, but that would make getting better moves on it impossible. What's a Meganium gonna do? Set screens, maybe throw a Body Slam out there, that's it. Anyways, Ame said that'll be done later, no need to discuss spend time on this now. Agreed...if you mean "move them back" as in "make them available sooner". Seriously, who's gonna use a Stantler that late into the game? Audino is also of no use since this isn't comp and we don't have it's mega either. The issue Stantler has is shared with some other stuff like Basculin I listed: average Attack and Speed, no defences. They're Zoroarks with different typings, except Zoroark has better stats and is available around when those should be too. Some don't even have that much, Spinda and Farfetch'd of all things shouldn't be all the way in Chrysolia IMO, who'd wait for them for so long? But I think the mentioned Tyrogue is fine where it is. Hitmon-chan and -top are pretty bad, but Hitmonlee's strength makes up for it, especially since Gems are available for it's Unburden and all. It's also a bit earlier than Hawlucha, that functions the same way, but better, so it gives the player ample time to play around with it. It's also only really effective against Luna, for everything else, it doesn't stand out particularly. That's where it is right now. Iirc, it used to be in the part of the Railnet where you get Vulpix, but got moved, most likely because of it's typing or something. It kinda would, Clawitzer is really good, y'know.
  5. "Why do I even need Rock Smash for these. These are such flimsy-looking rocks, I bet I could powderize them just by thinking about it hard enough." "Day-Care-guy, you've given me like 500 of these things and you still don't know where Eggs are from?" "Cal, you may have assisted in an attempt to make Apophyll's ash-covered beach even ash-ier, but you gave me a ride, so you're better than any other person in this game"

    "The Axe"

I've been waiting for it since E10! Poisonous water everywhere, # of Poisonous-Water loving Jellyfish: 0 Anyways, I went through the Location Guide and here's the stuff I think is found too late for anyone to seriously consider replacing a team member for: As for the starter thing, I don't think it can be helped, really. One thing that could get people to use less-loved starters (like Squirtle, Oshawott, Chikorita, etc) would be to give them events at earlier times (Chikorita is too late IMO, for example), but not a lot of people would pick them out of all the starters available. The money thing would be pointless too IMO. The only thing I ever even used money on in bigger amounts was the salons, Pokeballs and the Day-Care, and I still easily have 6 digits.

    Egg Steps

Or try the CE stuff in my guide (back up your save just in case).
  8. You can do it. Not in this episode, but this section has a pinned guide for this stuff (which people keep forgetting apparently) and the guide also has a download link for E12.
  9. No worries, there's nothing to "mess up". Whatever you do, you'll eventually have access to all of 7th Street's features, the plot even requires you to go there later. Just don't worry about it for now and do wherever the story leads.
  10. ...what's Cain's team again? I remember he has a Galvantula, but that's all I've got. Also, if this is just to beat one battle, the pinned Gym Leader Help thread is the better place to go than this.
  11. In the Mist Field, Fire attacks are powered up. It also gets Flame Burst as a last resort, to blow any annoying foe away (along with itself, but hey).
  12. Go with HP investment, Mega Hera is hardly fast. As for moves, Bullet Seed, Pin Missile, Rock Blast and Close Combat is the way to go. CC>Arm Thrust imo, because AT has the same power as Brick Break, almost half of CC's. Still, not lowering the defenses of something this slow is nice, so give BB some though (BB>AT because of better accuracy and cause screens can be annoying). If you're iffy about BS (though you shouldn't be), you can go back to pre-E13 and give it Swords Dance (to get SD and Rock Blast, the chain would be NInjask/Escavalier>Crustle>Heracross) or EQ (EQ+RB is Geodude>Crustle>Heracross).
  13. Well, speaking of one-man games, Intrusion 2 was made over 3 years by one dude, the only thing he didn't do in it himself was the music. The game's bosses (except for the first one) are as fun as they are hard, and it took me two days each for the last 2 Shame this game got almost NO attention. Call of Juarez: Gunslinger is also pretty rad. I'm really not into FPS games and CoJ is not known for being anything more than a decent series, but Gunslinger was amazing, especially with how they mixed the narrative into the gameplay, and it also has some mechanics you don't quite see everyday. Add to that that it was only 15$ at release, and what more could you ask for except for some publicity for it.
  14. If by checking the controls, you mean that F1 thing, I think that does not work whatsoever. Basically, that's not Quick Saving, at least not in the way emulators and what-not do it, this is just a keyboard shortcut. You can't just press a button and bam, you're back exactly where you used to be. You can press F12 to have the game restart instead of closing and relaunching it, but that's about as close to quicksaving as RPGMaker (the stuff the game is made with) will ever get.
  15. Eh, I doubt it, unless it's some post-game stuff. To me, that felt like your standard "Man, that was fun. Gotta do this again some time." which is no guarantee it'll happen during the duration of the game (if ever). Still, Radomus and Shade really aren't that difficult.
  16. Probably Morty, just without the dumb clothes he wore in gen 2 and in the anime. He seems like a pretty chill dude...unlike every other Ghost Gym Leaders in any other official Pokemon game. Also showed he has a brain with the way he used Ghost types outside of battle. The fact that I'm really digging his team for the World Leaders Tournament definitely helps too.
  17. With it's health:bulk ratio, Dusknoir is the thing to use Curse with. Don't bother with Hex, 65 base attack is nothing, not even with a 130 BP move. Your team doesn't really...care about Trick Room, so that can go too, though keeping it is also perfectly fine (the main idea of Trick Room is for not-so-bulky and not-so-fast hard hitters to do their hard hitting without worries of Speed. You've got 5 bulky things and a Charizard). Shadow Sneak should also definitely stay, it's attack stat is good enough that some last-ditch damage from it is definitely worth a move-slot. You could temporarily use Payback, which works well with it's low Speed, but, although it's not really an option now since you're out of Reaper Cloths, when we get back to Reborn City legally (or right now, if you have a copy of E13), you can buy a new one, when you should breed Pain Split onto your new Dusknoir. With it's high defenses yet really low health, it'll do a ton while doubling as great healing for it. Yep, as stated above, Night Slash+Cross Poison+Sniper+Scope Lens is the way to go. But SD is a great thing to have on it. Also, this thing is no wall. Sure, it's bulky as hell, but letting the naturally high physical defense do it's thing while piling EVERYTHING into Speed and Attack is most definitely the way to go. Be Jolly, have an SD under your belt and start destroying! Also, Bug Bite literally hits only 20 more things super-effecitvely. The same Ninjask that could get you SD can also get you Dig, which does a ton for your coverage. Facade. Game Corner. 140 BP Get 'em. Bulk Up isn't too great since you're on a timer with Toxic Orb and all that. A timer you could cheat, mind you. If you go back to pre-E13, you can get Rest. Rest removes your Toxic, fully heals you, sends you to sleep (which is generally no issue with it's huge physical bulk), then once you wake, Toxic is reapplied on you and the damage-increase per turn starts all over. Way better than healing items since Toxic can take ~30% a turn. Thoough you'd have to give up on either of the Punches you currently have. Tri Attack is pretty much always weaker than your STABs. T-Wave is also almost pointless with it's bulk and Discharge around. Either give it Mirror Coat and Charge Beam/Hidden Power or make it Analytic, Quiet and give it Charge Beam/Hidden Power. Any Hidden Power that covers your weaknesses, especially HP Grass/Ice for Ground types are best for it. Also, Speed EVs are a complete waste on it. Give it HP I agree with the above DD set, though in that case HP EVs are better than Speed ones since you'll be outspeeding stuff anyways, might as well have an easier time setting up then. Also, Wing Attack is better than Shadow Claw. Not only is it stronger due to STAB (not by a lot, but hey), it also has better coverage. There's more you'd be hitting Super-Effectively with Shadow Claw on paper, but the age of Ghost and Psychic type foes is one that has ended in Reborn. Ditch Brick Break and Surf, get Avalanche (Bergmite) and Rock Slide (Heart Scale). Curse is also a great move for it. Ditch it. The only reason Swagsire is competitively used despite Swampert's existence is because of Toxic, Recover and Unaware. Competitively. In Reborn? The game is simpler than competitive play. Toxic-stalling is unrequired since it's a lot easier here to brute-force it after setting up Curses (both Swampy and Quagy can do it). Recover is pointless since we have access to healing items. Unaware is of no importance since, honestly, when's the last time you saw a foe set up after Serra's Cloyster? Swampert does all the important things Quagsire does too (yes, it even also gets Yawn), but it does it better. Your biggest weakness is to Ground types, which mostly also have Rock-type coverage too and, as is, Grass, Bug and Fairy are the only types you have no attacks of. Lilligant is a great, fun to use and easy-to-figure-out-how-to-use Pokemon (Own Tempo with Sleep Powder, Petal Dance, Quiver Dance and HP Rock). Leavanny is pretty great too, especially since only one type-gym Grass is weak to is left, plus Sticky Web support is all your Drapion needs to clean house. Bulk Up Gogoat is also very good. Also, Gourgeist. Gourgeist is a thing that you can just send up against a physical attacker to laugh at them. With Protect, Will-o-Wisp (both gotten from Yamask pre-E13), Phantom Force and Leech Seed (to maximize DoT damage, you'll be doing 1/4th health every turn while Protect and PF make you hittable only once every 3 turns, and on the third turn not only will burns decrease physical damage, it's huge physical defense means you'll be losing ~80 HP form SE physical hits (and Ground and Rock only have like one special move each, so it's perfect for what you need)).
  18. Eh, not really. Atrocious accuracy aside, the Fairy type isn't so threathening defensively that you'd HAVE to have Poison and Steel moves ready, even neutral hits are plenty. Also, you have a Magnezone, Florges is abou the only Fairy type Magnezone might have trouble with, in which case you can just bring in any Physical attacker, Breloom can just put it to sleep, use Bullet Seed 1-2 times and you're done. Btw, covering a Pokemon's weaknesses with that Pokemon itself is no real necessity if it's not a set-up sweeper, it's fine to have your teammates cover for Flygon.
  19. The deal with Trick Room is to hit as hard as possible for the very short duration it lasts while the twisted speed helps with frailer hard-hitters especially. Vileplume is bulky enough to not care about Speed (same for Sylveon), Crawdaunt needs to set up to truly shine to the point that the DD set is vastly superior to TR Crawdaunt since TR will end very soon (especially considering set-up time) when it's back to business as usual with the same lackluster bulk as usual, and Typhlosion is harmed by TR by a lot while Cinccino is doomed if sent out during TR.
  20. I'd just use it for coverage, since Typhlosion has so few options in that regard. With Nature Power, depending on what you get, you may be completely unable to hit even neutrally (especially since it's guaranteed to get a Water attack in a Water-y environment and that kinda stuff). Compared to that, with E-sensory, it's something. We already have the Flamethrower TM, so you could just as well switch them on demand. Make sure to have a Compound Eyes user up front (even if it's fainted, it works) while hunting it ups the chance of items on wild encounters. You can also use the On The Hunt section's pinned EV guide to see what place has the highest Trubbish encounter rate. Yeah, there's no real point in going for Swords Dance if you only have 2 Attacks (of which one only has 5 uses). I guess Shadow Sneak would also work for it, as a "parting gift" kinda dealie. Neeeevermind, for a second I thought that AT was stronger because I had forgotten KO's added power if the foe has an item. I also thought AT for a neural hit on Steel types, but yeah, KO does the same with even more power. Derp. Sylveon can do that much already IMO, especially since it's Calm, but Special Attack investment would definitely pay off on it. Still, both work, so it's up to preference. Whatever floats your boat
  21. To use Perish Song reliably on Politoed, you'd have to put all EVs into your defenses (including health), which means it won't be doing anything offensively. The AI has also been given the ability to switch out, so that is really not very likely to succeed. And nope. It's gonna be a looooong time before we get Tailwind and/or the Punches, if ever.
  22. Lando-T because absolutely everyone uses these suckers. They're not even that difficult to deal with, just go away already. Regigigas, the Disappointment Pokemon. Not only did I expect this sucker to be a Grass type (and I love Grass types), it also gets a great offensive movepool which is made completely irrelevant because of it's Ability. It's just a waste Primal Groudon. Because it's stupid as hell to have the master of Ground be weak to Ground, there was no reason not to make it so Desolate Land makes Ground neutral, especially considering how rare Ground is in Ubers anyways. I also keep getting annoying that I always type Groundon, then have to correct it.
  23. Flash Fire will almost never come in handy, especially now that we're done with Charlotte and all that, so you might as well change it's Ability to Blaze for the extra power every now and then. It's Speed is nothing that great, so I'd roll with Timid over Modest, but that's just me. Anyways, Typhlosion's main gimmick is it's fast Eruption, it's unlikely to OHKO Water-type foes with HP Grass. Instead, you can get it HP Rock and Extrasensory to give it perfect neutral coverage. Just give it a Charcoal (7th Street salesman). Good stuff. Swords Dance or Dragon Dance is entirely up to preference, so there's no problems here, though I prefer DD, without it you may finding yourself limit by Speed and low defenses, forcing you to spam Aqua Jet and hope for the best. If we ignore Sludge Bomb, that's it's best set. If we don't, Toxic<Sludge Bomb since your team isn't too stally there, Vileplume being the only thing bulky on both sides. IMO, Black Sludge is a waaaaay better item for it. Don't ever use Hypnosis. Ever. 60% accuracy? That's as reliable as taking up Solaris' offer to fight his Garchomp by yourself, without any Pokemon. Give it Night Slash/Leaf Blade and give it a Scope Lens instead of a Black Belt, that way both Psycho Cut and NS/LB will crit 50% of the time. Steadfast is also much more likely to be activated and has a more beneficial effect. It's already fast as hell while it's Attack stat could use a boost, so make it Adamant. It'd also be better to run Aqua Tail instead of Knock Off IMO. It's already bulky as hell specially, while on the physical side it's...not that good, might as well shift those HP EVs over to Special Attack, so that your "nuke" (TC) is an actual "nuke". You could keep the HP EVs for Wish and move the Sp.Def EVs over, but that'd leave you weaker on the special side, while not really doing much for your physical defense still. Nope. Maybe someone else helps you with this one, but I'm sure as hell not giving any thoughts on the Toge line.
