  1. Ah, I didn't see Psychic there. About the PP UPs, right in front of the Beryl Library is either a PP UP or an HP UP, I'm pretty sure it's the former. There's also the option of a "Pickup Team". Fairy isn't that tough a type anyways, but if you insist, Durant, Crobat, Nidoking, Drapion, Toxicroak, Dragalge, Gengar, Scolipede, Escavalier, Magnezone and Bisharp are all excellent Poison/Steel types. Scolipede especially, some of your team members really could use a Speed boost or two. You've done very well with your current members' movesets, so I won't waste your time with details on all of these guys. Just make sure that Crobat uses Nasty Plot, Drapion has Sniper and a Scope Lens, Toxicroak gets Bulk Up and remember the Drill Run tutor for Escavalier (...wherever he is, I can't remember) if one of them is what you choose to use.
  2. For Clawitzer, Dragon Pulse would be better than Dark Pulse, Dark has unnecessary coverage while Dragon can really come in handy. Go Yanma hunting and give that Tyrantrum a Wide Lens to boost the accuracy of HS some. For Chandelure, HP Fighting or Ice would be much better than Ground imo. Solosis also isn't necessary in the chain since both Castform and Litwick are in the Amorphous Egg Group. For what could work as a 6th...use whatever? Really, Fairy and Electric are the only attacking types you don't have and they're not even that necessary, you don't have any huge defensive holes. Durant and Heliolisk fit onto any team, as does Archeops (though not as well). Durant would give you another 4x Fire weakness, but it doesn't matter, I had this sucker sweep Charlotte. For the sets for those 2, Durant's best is Hustle with Hone Claws, Iron Head, X-Scissor and Rock Slide (might wanna give it a Wide Lens, after a Hone Claws Rock Slide still doesn't have perfect accuracy). Heliolisk's best would be Dry Skin with Thunderbolt, Grass Knot, HP Ice and Surf/Dark Pulse.
  3. Tbh, I kept my Totodile in the box all the way until the end of E14, but that was because I didn't want to use it until I got it's best(imo) possible set. Ice Punch from Obamasnow, Waterfall HM, DD from Horsea's line and Superpower from leveling up. Sure, You'd never really need Superpower, but it's nice to have and alternatives would be Aqua Jet (which is unnecessary since nothing will outspeed you after 1-2 DDs) and Crunch (useless coverage).
  4. ...that profile pic is from Rising of the Shield Hero...I like you already. Anyways, welcome! You've already been given the standard welcoming, so I'll just mention the Team Showcase section, the place to make a topic in if you want feedback on your team or if you're struggling with a specific battle (in the first pinned post there). That said, hope you enjoy your stay here! Feel free to shoot me a PM if you have any questions.
  5. It doesn't have to be nicknamed, though it does have to be first in the party I believe.
  6. Oh Hotline Miami, you're almost half as weird as you are fun...and you're REALLY weird.

  7. I'm pretty sure there are no Soothe Bells in the game. And the salons give more friendship than the berries, so I'd say those are more useful, just visit one, set your computer's date 1 day forward and keep repeating till you get to your goal. Leveling up a lot also gives a lot of happiness.
  8. HP Ground/Fire seems a lot better than Ice on Venusaur to handle the pesky Steel types that resist your STAB moves, giving you much better coverage. I agree with the above, Hail helps only one member of your team (which might not even get much out of it due to being so frail) while harming 4 other members on your team. So how about Destiny Bond instead (and Timid)? In which case Ice Beam>Blizzard. Also, HP Fighting is much better for it since only Normal/something and Dark/something types resist both of your STABs. Instead of Extrasensory, HP Rock is something to look into. Fire, Grass and Rock together have really good coverage. Instead of Stone Edge and Bounce/HP-whatever, grab a Farfetch'd and get yourself Acrobatics, Knock Off and Poison Jab. Farnsworth, EQ and Rock Slide can't be bred onto Electivire because Elekid can't learn those moves. Though Fire Punch would be better than HP Water, or any HP for the matter. I'm really not a fan of CC's low accuracy, so maybe Brick Break would be better, especially since you wouldn't even be using it that much and screens can be a huge pain, though that's up to you.
  9. The thing with both Nidoran m/f and Illumise/Volbeat is that you can just breed the female one with whatever and you have a 50% chance of getting the male one. So Smeargle+Nidoran F=Nidoran M (eventually). You also need E12 to breed TMs. There's a link in the guide linked above.
  10. Ehhhhh, Whimsicott is really a comp Pokemon. It wouldn't do too well if the foes are attacking all the time and non-attacking move are pretty rare in gym leaders' teams. I guess you can go for Giga Drain, Moonblast, Tailwind and Endeavor/Memento/HP Fire. Don't bother with Roost, we have healing items, so there's no point to having it. Go for Power Gem or Destiny Bond (without Tailwind, you'd really have to predict well for DB, especially with how dumb the AI is right now). And Sub wouldn't be too good for it, give it Air Slash or Toxic. Toxic would work really well with Defend Order to stall the foe out. You could also go for Bug Buzz instead of Attack Order so you can get a nature that boosts all of your attacks. You can skip HP Ground. Since you're stalling the foe out, coverage isn't important to you, sticking with just Scald is perfectly fine, though you can get Ice Beam. Recover can also be ditched. For the last 2 moves, Acid Armor and Amnesia work I guess? I dunno, Stall really isn't my thing. T-bolt and Hydro Pump/Surf/Scald. Panpour>Wooper/Piplup/Spheal/Seel/Psyduck>Stunfisk>Skrelp. Done. You could also go for Toxic Spikes to free up move slots on your other team members. For other team members, Durant, Archeops and Heliolisk are things that fit into pretty much any team and the first 2 easily handle your Fire and Ice weaknesses.
  11. But Luna doesn't know that. I think that by "outside" he meant "outside of the Valley" (or at least not in the place we fought).
  12. Well, since you say you're too lazy for breeding, not much can be said. Heartscale it up to give Blaziken High Jump Kick, Noivern Boomburst and Dragon Pulse instead of Super Fang and Roost and Granbull Outrage and the Fangs instead of everything but Play Rough. For other members, just see what types you do and don't have covered and go from there. Easy-to-use stuff I'd recommend would be Heliolisk, Archeops and Durant.
  13. How about an option to sort items? Doesn't even have to be by type of item (e.g. all type gems together), even alphabetically would be great.
  14. Yeah, I was thinking about that one for a while and really wasn't sure whether it'd be better for it to set up once and se what it can do or take time and hits to get 2/3 DDs. Then I found it's defense is actually a lot better than I thought. I was on the fence about it because foes In Reborn have EVs top, but you're right, HP realy would be better for. Good thing I have yet to go "create" this guy in the daycare
  15. Swoobat. No, really. Even with those stats, Simple + Calm Mind/Amnesia is really good for a while early on, just what I needed until I got some more of my final party members. Though friendship grinding is a paaiiiiinnnn.
  16. Insomnia and Boredom are a terrifying combo. A terrifyingly dull one.

      :)

Nah, I'm kidding, that actually did make me laugh...once I got it (am tired, don't judge).

  17. Maybe the time of day is important? I doubt it, but if it's not showing up for you in rain...
  18. Have some links! http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=7866 http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=6802 In short: Drillbur: Tanzan Mountain Depths. Magikarp: Nowhere.
  19. The main reason why I can't see her as part of Team Meteor is because of the time. Finding out she sided with them would be "Hey, remember this character you spent very little time with waaaaaaaaay back then?! Yeah, she's evil." With the other 2 leaders, it was a lot different. Corey first was a random Meteor member, then we found out it actually was Corey, then that Corey is also a gym leader (iirc), then we fought him, all in less than 3 battles (if you avoid the police men). For the second, we met them, they sent us up a mountain, heard they were evil, fought them. We were done with that after barely more than 2 episodes. We last saw Julia 13 episodes ago.
  20. Or you can just do whatever, progress through the game until you get to whatever EV-training spot you want/need, then breed whatever team-member you wanna EV-train to get a new one and raise it from scratch.
  21. ...I was 100% sure that was Poison Point and not Touch until now. I'm an idiot. Dry Skin is what it happened to have when I got it, and I just went with it. Dry Skin could come in handy with Amaria, but I guess I'll stick with Poison Touch till then. And Dragon Claw is there because Dragon is a type I want to be as well-prepared for as I can be. Also, the only alternatives are Crunch and U-Turn (Knock Off doesn't work since it'd cost me Earthquake), both of which have unnecessary coverage (which I already have) as has been stated above, I'm not a big fan of U-Turn's switching-out effect (great for comp, kinda sucky in-game) and I hardly ever use move #4 on Archeops anyways.
  22. So I got pretty bored with my last team, to the point that I never even started E14 with it. So I figured it's time for a new run, new team and technically new gym-battles for all the gyms which got field effects in the last 2-3 episodes. Beat E14 today and 4-0 was the worst I've done against any gym, so guess it works, but I'd still like some feedback. Feraligatr Sheer Force Max Attack/Speed EVs Adamant Dragon Dance Waterfall Ice Punch Superpower Ninetales Drought Max Speed/Sp.Atk EVs Timid Flamethrower Extrasensory Energy Ball Nasty Plot Lilligant Own Tempo (occasionally Chlorophyll for stuff like the Arceus battle) Max Speed/Sp.Atk EVs Modest HP Rock Petal Dance Sleep Powder Quiver Dance Heliolisk Solar Power Max Speed/Sp.Atk EVs Timid Dark Pulse Thunderbolt Grass Knot HP Ice Gourgeist Frisk Max Defense/Health EVs Lax Phantom Force Leech Seed Will-o-Wisp Protect Durant Hustle Max Attack/Speed EVs Jolly Iron Head X-Scissor Hone Claws Rock Slide Archeops Defeatist Max Attack/Speed EVs Jolly Earthquake Acrobatics Rock Slide Dragon Claw Toxicroak Dry Skin Max Attack, Max Defense Impish Poison Jab Drain Punch Bulk Up Sucker Punch Mostly just stuff I felt like using which just so happened to form into a pretty good party of 8 (eventually, Feraligatr was benched from the start of the game until the end of E14 because I waited until I could get it's current set). I generally hate stally stuff, but Gourgeist has yet to fail in killing any physical foe on her own, including Garchomp and PULSE Avalugg, and the statuses generally kill foes in 5 turns.
  23. As I came to find out, the most important thing with Shelly is having items. She loves confusing and lowering stats, so grab some Persim Berries and Guard Specs. from the Dept.Store. Stocking up on those made the fight with her waaaaay easier for me.
  24. Since Gen 6, yes. Looks to me like he's kinda new to this. Glad that worked out for ya, netbean!
  25. I'm...confused. What seems to be the problem here? Post-E12, TM moves cannot be passed on via breeding, so there's that. Iron Tail is a level-up move, easy to get. Head Smash and Superpower are both Egg Moves, and since E13, both parents can pass on Egg Moves, so to get both moves it's just breeding something male with HS or SP with a female Aron/Lairon/Aggron, get a female Aron and breed that with something male with the other move you need. Done. If you're looking for a way to breed all three moves (not counting Iron Tail cuz level-up), that's not possible, especially not post-E12.
