  1. I really can't make a decision for my favorite, as the first 2 of these have made my dream to become a programmer, while 3 is just that good. Intrusion 2 - Except for the music, the entire game was made by ONE GUY, over 3 years. Sure, story is non-existent, and game-play isn't revolutionary, but it simply does everything it does right. Any story would be a break in the game's action, so it was scrapped. It keeps adding neat little things every now and then to keep things from getting monotone, and it's just as long as it needs be for maxed Quality-over-Quantity. The game did everything it wanted, then let the credits roll. And, my god, the boss Fights. I'd say "look 'em up", but that's something you have to go into unspoiled, they're one of the most fun things I've ever played...no matter how many tries it took to actually beat the last 2 It's also only like 3 bucks on Steam right now, if anyone's curious. Or you can "sail the 7 seas". Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance - If you know me, you're not surprised by this choice. Both my name and my member title are pseudo-references to it, my Avatar being a direct reference. Again, Gameplay>>Story, but the gameplay is incredibly fun. Most people who play it unfortunately miss it, it's mechanically as refined as it can be. Many people complain about not being able to switch sub-weapons mid-combo, but other mechanics take up so much RAM that it's not possible, the game utilizes all resources it's given to the fullest. Music is also right up my alley, only 3 pieces on the soundtrack aren't on my phone right now. The boss fights are also incredibly, Monsoon possibly being my favorite of all time. The Jetstream Sam DLC also gives a completely new spin on the gameplay, almost like you're playing a new game (and makes one of the easiest bosses quite a challenge). Aaaaand Parasite Eve 1 on the PS1, the great start of a terrible series. PE1 as it's own game was fantastic, 2 tried to copy Resident Evil and 3 can't even be considered part of the series. It's my fav out of all the games on the PS1, at-the-time-unique gameplay, great story, riveting atmosphere (this being one of the first cutscenes you see) - just go see it for yourself (XEBRA is a configuration-less Emulator if you care).
  2. Yeah, it'll be a very long while till we get that Mega Ring/Bracelet/what-have-you. Should we get any Mega Stones pre-post-game, it'll be ones we never use, like Audinite or for Legendaries we won't get till end-game anyways.
  3. I think I remember reading somewhere that Ame dislikes making gym leaders and such characters just sit in their gym all day, waiting for challengers for all eternity. Probably why others like Julia are also gone after a while. EDIT: Turns out there's a topic for this kinda stuff already. Just now for the chief.
  4. I haven't actually played E14 yet, but isn't there a Munchlax trade? Can't those hold Lefties?
  5. Before anything, let me say this. Ursaring is limited in Reborn. It needs statuses, without them it's really, really bad. It solos Corey in the Corrosive Mist field because of that, but after that, it's dead weight until you get that Toxic Orb, and even then, there's better. It has rather low defenses, so instead of Guts, you'd have to go for Quick Feet, but plenty of other things have a comparable Attack stat with better or similar Speed, without having to bother with statuses. But if you really wanna stick with it, I'd say don't bother with Belly Drum, Ursaring doesn't have the bulk to take hits at half health well. Most likely won't survive too many, if even one. With Yawn, something could be done, but it's rather unreliable. Close Combat, Play Rough, Night Slash/Crunch and Facade are the best you can go for IMO.
  6. This fits the subsection's description more than others', so it should be fine here. I think. But iirc, this has been mentioned before, and has been deemed either too high-effort-low-reward or simply not a priority.
  7. Site questions/suggestions generally go in the Grand Hall subsection. It'd have it's pros and cons for Edits to be shown as new posts, but maybe an option for that could be added. A check box asking whether the edit should be shown as a new post or not, kinda like Ace Members' "Show Edited By" checkbox. Well, that'd be my idea, how difficult that'd be to implement, I dunno.
  8. I'm in. Not 100% sure I'll make it, but I'll sure as hell try.
  9. Aw, too bad. The fights with him were always incredibly fun.
  10. Combee would then be Bug/Flying/Grada, while Paras would be Grass/Bug, same effectiveness. A Wormadam-Steel under F-Curse with Dry Skin though...
  11. Just to verify, is something like my guide in Team Showcase "legal" then? All CE-related info there is about speeding things up, to help with tediousness, nothing that alters difficulty in any way.
  12. Wha...I don't... An a scale from 1 to even, I can't
  13. Don't ask me. Hey, whatever floats your boat, I don't care. Well, maybe EXLink can shed some light.
  14. Some wild Pokes may hold Sharp Beak-s. And for that Crawdaunt, why no Dragon Dance? It boosts your attack a little less, but it packs a lot of power anyways, and that Speed boost would be great for it. Then you could also ditch Aqua Jet for Superpower or Body Slam.
  15. When you finally do get Boomburst and Dragon Pulse, ditch Hyper Fang and Hurricane (as nice as it's power is, that accuracy is just atrocious). Tailwind is also most definitely a move you should get for it, considering only 2 thinks on your team are really fast. Stealth Rock is rather pointless in the game now that only 1 type weak to it remains due for a Gym Battle. Heavy Slam to deal with Fairy types would be quite good. Double-Edge is also pointless since only 5 fully-evolved Pokemon resist both Rock and Ground moves, so only 5 foes take more damage from D-Edge than from your other moves. You could use Autotomize to help with Speed issues, Curse for buffing, or what I'd recommend, Explosion along with a Sturdy ability (better stock up on Normal Gems). Trick Room. Foul Play is generally not good on Krookodile. It uses the foe's attack stat (which is not that likely to be higher than Krookodile) and the foe's buffs, so any and all Moxie boosts would be wasted. Also, make it Jolly. If you get a kill, Moxie boosts your attack, but you need some Speed to actually kill before being killed instead. Special-bat is much better than the physical variant. Get it Nasty Plot via Honchkrow, Venoshock and Air Slash via level-up and Hidden Power(ideally Ground or Fighting) or Dark Pulse/Shadow Ball. Terrible nature, it needs it's Attack while a Speed boosting Nature is pointless on it. I'd also really recommend using Curse and Wood Hammer, Earthquake and Body Slam/Superpower/Crunch with an Adamant Nature, or Giga Drain instead of W-Hammer and a Brave Nature. Protect is really pointless here. Instead of Surf, give it Dive/Waterfall, keep EQ, Hammer Arm is fine, and get it Avalanche via Bergmite/Avalugg or Rock Slide via level-up instead of Protect. As good as it's Attack stat is, Thunder Fang definitely won't OHKO any Water type other than maybe Gyarados. Also, after a single Agility, Arcanine would definitely be outspeeding all foes, making E-Speed pointless. Bite also has now-unneeded coverage. What I'd recommend is Outrage (level 43 as Growlithe), Close Combat via Primeape/Zangoose/Lucario, Flare Blitz (level 45 as Growlithe) or at least Heat Wave (level 41 as Growlithe or via Torkoal) and Agility (level 30 as Growlithe). 2 Fire moves is redundant. Flamethrower is barely weaker than Fire Blast and it doesn't have terrible accuracy, so keep that one. Instead of Confuse Ray, Nasty Plot would also be much better for it. If you go back to E12 or earlier, you can breed Energy Ball onto it (via Deerling/Sawsbuck). 2 Electric moves is redundant. I'll agree with the above about getting at least one Fang move. Even better, you could get that Toxic Orb, give Luxray Guts as it's ability and buy Facade from the Game Corner to do huge amounts of damage. And ditch Swagger, Crunch for some coverage ain't bad. You'd be better of with Superpower than with Crunch there. For Clefable, it's really not that good in-game, comp is where it truly shines. Still, a good set for it would be Moonblast, Grass Knot, Flamethrower and Hidden Power/Charge Beam would be your best bet. Magnezone works with Discharge, Flash Cannon, Charge Beam, Hidden Power, T-Wave would be the best you can do. Sturdy Mirror Coat also makes events like the Arceus battle incredibly easy. Conkeldurr's best available moves would be Drain Punch, Mach Punch, Facade (if you grab that T.Orb and give this thing Guts), Stone Edge and Bulk Up.
  16. ...eh. Although Skuntank is great, Stunky is nigh worthless, so I'd say grab one later (it'd be great for Shelly, so not much later, but y'know). They also only have a 1% chance of appearing in that Garden, while he lower Peridot alley and alleys in Lapis have much higher chances of giving you a Stunky.
  17. What's Terra's line-up and reward TM? It'll be a while till I get to E14, so I'd love some info.

No worries 'bout Quagy, I love Grass and learned a trick from having Serra one-shot my Swampert with Freeze-Dry. That Excadrill will be the most annoying thing in there.

IronWraith is right.Dragon was special before 4th gen. So her Garchomp is a mixed Sweeper.

  18. Quick Claws only have a poor 20% chance of activating. And it only works for one turn. It's not supposed to be bulky, and Curse is actually a great move for it since it doesn't need Speed.
  19. Nope, just me waiting 'till January for Christmas. Well, me and Mik.
  20. No Spike tutor can help Froslass, it could only get the move from Klefki via breeding.
  21. http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=8363 This is from E11/E12, but I went into detail with my Cain run (Samurott didn't make that much of a difference). It's outdated, but some general stuff could help out, I guess.
  22. Most likely. As far as I can tell, Ame only really removed or made items harder to find if they were really beneficial, like Heart Scales or King's Rocks. Something like a Quick Claw is...definitely not endangered. But if you don't get anything from wild encounters, I think there are some in the O.Dept Store.
  23. It wasn't intended to be, but this is the closest to that, I believe. I mean, it could sorta-help you, perhaps?
