  1. Welcome! If you find yourself struggling at any point of the game, there's this. Or, if you want team-advice in general, just make a topic in the Team Showcase section and we'll see what can be done.
  2. The hattening is happening!

It was maybe the 10th or 12th result for Google image searching "pixel Christmas hat", haha.

Yeah, I went for that after "christmass hat 8-bit" kept showing "people with hats" of which most weren't even pixelated, like what.

Image searches man; they find the vaguest crap to pull up, haha!

  3. Iirc a competitively-banned set for Liepard was Substitute, Thunder Wave, Swagger, Foul Play. Substitue is in the Game Corner, T.Wave can be bred in E12 or earlier, Swagger is the TM gotten from perfecting the High Striker in front of the Circus, and Foul Play can be bred in any Episode. There's only one way to get both T.Wave and Foul Play onto it at the same time, and that is Smeargle in E12 or earlier. Check my guide to see how to use the thing. As for Whimsicott, Encore, Leech Seed, Substitute and Memento/Moonblast is pretty fun to use.
  4. I'm liking Decibel's design. As for the starter, Fennekin needs more love. It's got great moves, high Speed (sorta) and SP.Attack, the invaluable Trick Room and it can sweep the first 2 gyms incredibly easily. Get 2-3 Howls, spam Flame Charge and it's GG.
  5. But keep in mind that there's a total-uploaded-file-size limit. To bypass that, you can take a screenshot, use a site like tinypic, take the link it'll give you, press the picture-of-a-tree-looking icon above the space where you type posts here and past the link in there, to not have to deal with those limitations.
  6. Ice is a great attack typing, and as he has said, it'll be really good to have a fast Ice-attacker against the still-upcoming Ice gym. Psychic also is an option, but we don't have the TM for it. Breeding it (along with Energy Ball) is possible, but you'd have to give up on T.bolt and STAB Sludge Bomb for it, and since the Flying, Water and Fairy gyms are still coming up...
  7. Prankster Trick Room is actually still slow as can be. Prankster raises priority by one level, so it would be -6 instead of -7. IMO, No real need for priority if you'll be "outslowing" all foes anyways. And yeah, Dusknoir works, though I'd advise more of a support-set for that one since it's got some neat moves like Destiny Bond, Memento, Will-o, and the like, and it's attack stat isn't really all that great.
  8. There's only one weak-to-Rock type Gym we have yet to face, and there isn't nearly as much switching around in Reborn as there is in competitive battle, so you could ditch them. Instead, go for Explosion. Your current set would set up, then waste an entire turn just either waiting for the foe to kill it or to switch out. Explosion kinda does both without really "wasting" a turn and also does some decent damage if unresisted. (Leftovers? Where'd you get those?) You really gotta put the limited TR time to use, so 2 buffing moves on Escavalier are not that good IMO. Iron Defense is also kinda iffy, to not say worthless against any special attackers. Swords Dance is fine, but getting Drill Run or Knock Off there wouldn't be so bad either. For Porygon-Z, you might wanna swap Nasty Plot for Agility and Discharge for Charge Beam. With Charge Beam, you'll get your Special attack boosts up quick enough. Discharge could really harm your team with that super-high paralysis chance, making the foes "faster" in Trick Room. And when TR is about to end, just use an Agility and you're good to go even when it ends as you'll probably have a Sp.Attack buff or 2 under your belt by then. Signal Beam doesn't even help out all that much with coverage so you could ditch that and keep Nasty Plot even. As for other stuffs, it's always good to have a back-up Trick Room setter (especially if the first one blew up...). There's Chandelure if you can deal with a third Ground weakness on board, Cofagrigus (T.Room, N.Plot, Will-o-Wisp/HP Fighting, Shadow Ball), Gallade (all of it's +crit-rate moves together with a Scope Lens give it a 50% crit chance on those moves), Reuniclus, Bronzong (fun fact: Gyro Ball's power is unaffected by Trick Room!), Exeggutor works surprisingly well. Do to it's low priority, you obviously don't want anything not-so-bulky setting it up (or trying to do so), which is why I only listed decently bulky stuff here, but it depends. Something like Gardevoir would be fine against Special attackers (most likely), but almost any physical attack will fell it. Other good-but-slow things are Gigalith, Stunfisk (no, really), Granbull, Conkeldurr, Crustle, Druddigon, Lickilicky, Eelektross, Machamp, Gourgeist (Leech Seed, Will-o-Wisp, Protect and Phantom Force make an incredible set), Ursaring, Crawdaunt, Bouffalant, Rampardos, Pangoro, Clawitzer, Swampert, Empoleon, Obamasnow could work, Magnezone, Sylveon, Cacturne, Emboar, Metagross and Kingler. Oh, and Tyrantrum and Malamar. It's also common practice to also have something fast that functions well even outside of TR, or something slow with a speed-boosting move to kinda function in both environments, so any in the above paragraph which get Agility/Dragon Dance/Rock Polish are especially worth a look. Just refer to my guide and pick what you like over there for random generally-do-well-ers. There's my two cents on it, hope I managed to help out.
  9. Priority in-game isn't all that important, so you could just give your Metagross Agility instead of Bullet Punch. After one Agility, you'll be outspeeding everything (except for the very-rare priority users) anyways. Double-Edge is kinda eh. You could go for Brick Break, or a Rock move. Rock Slide from Drilbur or Stone Edge from Rhydon. For Water types, I'd strongly recommend either Gorebyss or Empoleon. Gorebyss gets Ice Beam and Scald via Panpour>Wooper/Piplup/Spheal/Seel/Psyduck>Remoraid>Clamperl if bred in E12 or earlier. Empoleon gets Ice Beam, Scald and Agility via Smeargle>Psyduck/Buizel>Piplup or Panpour>Psyduck/Buizel>Remoraid>Piplup. Both of these can handle entire opposing teams on their own. Kingdra also works. You could get your HP Dragon back for Saphira, but until then Energy Ball (Lotad/Petilil>Paras>Galvantula) (E12 or earlier), Thunder Wave or Electro Ball would be great moves for it. Crobat can use Zen Headbutt from Hoothoot/Noctowl, or go for a special set with Nasty Plot from Honchkrow, Air Slash, Dark Pulse and a Hidden Power. Once (if they haven't already) ORAS learnset changes get implemented, Venoshock can be used as a good Special STAB move.

Welp. http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=11152 Trick Room's efficiency depends on your and the foe's team, but it's a generally great move to have unless you're packing 6 Crobats or are facing 6 Gigalith. Just keep in mind that Agility lasts as long as you are alive and that TR has -7 priority, so planning is need if you plan on making that a "parting gift" of sorts.
  11. Haha, PSP emulator, I have conquered thee!...now, are there any good games for this sucker or was I just wasting my time?

  13. I'd only do it on a new run after finishing the game. Y'know, I'll get most of the fun out of the game by playing legit, but I want to squeeze every last drop of fun outta it.
  14. As the name implies, it, er...lets you "cheat" of course, though there are plenty of non-haxy ways to use it too. I use it to speed up the game in general as well as for instant Egg gaining/hatching, but you can go ahead and give yourself all TMs, perfect IVs/EVs and the like if that's your thing.
  15. I usually try going for an "honorable" win with only my main six, hax free, no cheesing. If I see a chance to get a sweep, I'll do it just for funz, but then I'll reset and do it "for real". Just like how I used Psych Up to copy Serra's Cloyster's Shell Smash with Gengar after setting T.Spikes to deal with Avalugg's Sturdy on my semi-mono, I did it only for the heck of it, but I went for a "proper" win afterwards.
  16. That's a negative. Is Jericho a positive?
  17. Oh, I'd actually really appreciate it if someone covered that part for me, I rarely ever check the Grand Hall. And to clarify, OP, Team Showcase is for in-game (that's Reborn) teams. For competitive teams, the Onyx Trainers' School is the place to go, to keep things organized and cuz Im scrub with comp team building.
  18. The entire Balkan is invading, I was but a scout! Soon these lands will be OURS!!! *Cue shameless advertisement* Anyways, though most things have been covered, you still haven't been given one vital piece of info! There's this neat place 'round here called the Team Showcase section, a mystical wonderland where you post your in-game team and advice appears out of nowhere! totally not me writing it nope You may not need it since you're succeeding while running around with a freaking Sunflora of all things, but who knows what we could do for you? So drop on by! *End of add* Ahem, sorry 'bout that, recently business has been rough and I've been lonely dammit. Hope you enjoy your stay here!

  20. Changing your type is risky business, one that may not be worth it. Since all gym leaders cover their weaknesses, switching to a type the foe is weak to would most likely weaken you as well. What I'd go for would be Download Porygon2 with Tri Attack, Charge Beam, Agility and Signal Beam/HP Ground/Ice. Simple stuff, set up Agility for some speed, Download and Charge Beam to buff semi-easily while also dealing damage, and the rest is a STAB move and some coverage, use health items if/when necessary and a sweep shouldn't be too hard to pull off (depending on the foe, of course). Unlike in comp, Recover isn't really necessary if we have access to healing items (which we do).
