  1. Welcome! Hope you like it here. To answer your question (sort of), what you want to keep an eye on really depends on the person, just check all sections out and see for yourself. As for useful threads, the Team Showcase Section (where you're guaranteed to meet me) can be good if you want any team advice of any sort.
  2. Really now? All Donphan has is good physical bulk, strong STAB Earthquake and priority Ice Shard. Funny you should talk about bad bulk with that special defense Donphan has. Of those I listed, only Gengar is less Specially bulky, almost all of them have a better defensive typing. And priority is meanigless with the high speed stats most of these have. Hell, what's wrong with having sweepers? Magnezone, Scrafty and Swampert are already enough bulk for the team, why not go for some strong attackers then. And how is Durant a "glass cannon" with a steel typing and 112 base Defense? It has only 48 Sp.defense, sure, but it's typing still makes that far better than Donphan's 60. Excadrill's weaknesses are about as frequent as Donphan's, except it's typing essentially doubles it's defense against it's plentiful resistances. The speed is still superior to Donphan's, can be patched up after a single turn with Sandstorm and "struggles against walls"? Seriously? Something with 135 base attack and access to Swords Dance? Sure. And although Archeops is not that bulky, it's speed and power take 2/3rds of Donphan's "niche" away.
  3. Turns out I was dead-wrong about one thing, in gen 6, TM moves aren't passed down through breeding. Torterra with Body Slam and Swords Dance and Chandelure with Flamethrower and Energy Ball are not possible. My bad. GG Nintendo
  4. Do TM moves still get passed on through breeding in Gen 6? I keep hearing people say they don't, but I think they do. I don't have the games, obviously.

Good thing we have every single one of them in Reborn! Oh, wait...

Try it anyways, maybe Pokemon Essentials hasn't changed.

  5. We actually said to swap Vaporeon with Swampert and Donphan with any of the others I mentioned, of which all but Leavanny, Crobat and Drapion have more power, but Leavanny has great STABs, resistances and an entry hazard move, Drapion has only one weakness, an entry hazard, Swords Dance, and great STABs as well, and Crobat has the same good traits Leavanny has bar the entry hazard plus the speed.
  6. If memory serves me right, Azurill was "moved" in E12, Magikarp in 11, Ralts in 12 and Starly in 10. So Episode 9 oughta do it for ya. Here you go! http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=9108 To go back to them, from an E12 save file, deposit any gen 6 Pokemon, maybe those that have gen 6 moves as well.
  7. Sounds fun, although changing the kind of burn according to the move seems unnecessary (especially cause you nerfed it to hell and back). The regular 1/8 HP 50% Attack burn is fine as it is. Flinch, freeze, paralysis, etc. could be the same, Headbutt would add 3 stacks, when you get 10, the foes flinch. Sleep's duration would be tricky. Your post doesn't state if it would also be an RNG thing as to when Critical hits can occur, detecting them is another thing. Maybe making it so that, at 0, every 16th turn is critical, while those with Super Luck (automatic +1) would crit on every 8th turn. Moves like Night Slash would still be problematic though. Doing that for Double Team would sound like a real pain to implement, if used in a single battle, you would have to turn the fight into a (at most) 6v1 (although 5 of those wouldn't move), imagine if both foes in a double battle did that. It also doesn't cover Minimize. If accuracy is bound to speed increases, evasion could be as well. Boosted accuracy and evasion increase speed, reduced acc and eva decrease speed. Might make those moves actually worth it. The multi-hit moves part is also not that good, as evasion goes to +6 while Multi-hit moves hit up to 5 times, maybe you hit all but the real one? It also wouldn't make sense with moves like Dual Chop. You'd also have to remove a "core" part, because the damage formula has a modifier which multiplies the damage by a random value between 0.85 and 1.
  8. Search around the forums, i think there's 4-6 link stones in Reborn. Dunno about Dusk Stones. On the other hand, Duskstones are buyable on the 7th floor of the Obsidia Dept. Store. The sticker system is supposed to be changed for E13 so that everyone has access to floor 9 and below, so waiting until E13 comes out oughta do it for ya.
  9. So, apparently, in Pokemon Blaze Black 2, Cofagrigus is Steel/Ghost. With those defensive stats. In a gen in which Steel resists Dark and Ghost. How OP is that!?

No no, I have one of 'em. I'm keeping it as far away from Fire and Ground as possible though.

  10. Before I say anything, your team is rather slow and Gothitelle can use that Trick Room TM. I think it would really benefit your team. Torterra seems pretty good. Do keep in mind that you've got some breeding options. Body Slam's 30% paralysis chance can support your team as well as help with Torterra's speed. Synthesis can restore the health you would lose while buffing. You can also breed Swords Dance onto it. Have a Smeargle/Zangoose breed Swords Dance onto Rhyhorn/Rhydon, then breed that onto Torterra. Note that you can get both Body Slam and Swords Dance in E13, both parents will be able to pass on moves then. Have Tropius breed Body Slam onto Turtwig, have Smeargle/Zangoose breed SD onto Rhyhorn, then breed a male Rhyhorn with SD and a female Turtwig with BS to get the egg of a Turtwig with BD and SD. Gothitelle can get Energy Ball. Breed a Lotad with Cacnea, then Cacnea with Gothitelle. Cacnea also learns Dark Pulse by TM, which you can then pass onto Gothitelle as well. Dark Pulse has the same power and coverage as Shadow Ball, but it's secondary effect is better and more likely to occur. With your team Trick Room would work really well. A set of Dark Pulse, Psychic/Psyshock, Energy Ball, Trick Room would be ideal. Hitmonchan is in the game. Trade a Dunsparce to the guy on the roof of the building in the top left corner of Route 1. By level-up, it learns the 3 Elemental Punches, Bullet Punch (not necessary with Trick Room) and Close Combat. Machamp can also have the ability No Guard. With it, Dynamic Punch is a 100% accurate, 100 base power move with a guarantee to confuse foes. Discharge has a 30% paralysis chance, and that should be enough already. Dragon Pulse could really help you out thogh, seeing as we might soon be fighting the Dragon Leader. Cotton Guard could aslo be fun to play around with. If you want to roll with Trick Room, you can breed Thunderbolt onto it via Pikachu. Not paralyzing (reducing the speed) of foes would be great with Trick Room. Pretty good Granbull. No comment on that one. Not really, sorry. Slugma does not learn Energy Ball via TM, so it cannot learn it through breeding. I also think Cottonee isn't around since E10. I think. You can still use Swirlix though. You have two options for it: Have Castform learn Energy Ball through breeding with Swirlix/Slurrpuff and Fire Blast through level-up and pass that onto Chandelure or Wait for E13. Then, both parents will be able to pass on moves. Have Slugma/Magcargo pass Flamethrower to Litwick, Have Swirlix/Slurpuff pass EB to Castform then breed that female Litwick with Flamethrower and male Castform with EB and get a Litwick with both.
  11. 0. I just kill 'em if they aren't anything I would use without breeding .-.
  12. Gee, thanks for making emulation of main Pokemon games so freaking difficult, Nintendo. Anyone know how to make Black 2 work? Doesn't matter on what emulator.

Blaze Black 2 is like the reborn version of Black 2. You have every pokemon up to gen 5 in the game and it's much harder. Story's still the same though.

  13. The game will be finished by the time we get this topic over with. Y'know guys, doing this is pointless, someone will just keep messing it up, you might as well not bother, seriously. ...Bulbasaur
  14. Any Pokemon game. Whatever you go to, you'll still be the same average Joe you are now. Why not go some place you won't get killed/be a bystander can actually do something? If you could be trained up in any profession of your choice by top professionals, what profession would you choose?
  15. Go right as soon as you cross the birdge connecting the Opal and North Obsidia Wards. Not up the stairs, there's a couple houses south of that.
  16. For me, it was Noel on my Poison-Monotype. On my main run, Noel was way too easy which he made up for against my Poison team. I barely beat him, had to use an Arbok just to use Sludge Wave which most of my team didn't even learn for some reason, took me a good 20 tries. Luna was also a pain because I kept raging at the fact that Bisharp wouldn't stay asleep enough for my Venomoth to get 4 Quiver Dances, it would always wake up after 1 or 2 turns. Once I swapped strategies, she was really easy though.
  17. Have you talked to everyone a few times? People generally forget to go talk to the merchant in the bottom left to see if he says anything about Bennett, try that. You can also Edit your posts, no need to double-post.
  18. Please do not necropost. Also, I have a German Keyboard as well and you can just use Space instead. Remapping controls is not possible at this point.
  19. It is a standard rule of chess. Maybe Radomus could explain it in the side room.
  20. Lead a pawn to the "northern" end of the board, you'll be able to change it into other pieces, like Knights. EDIT: This should help you:
  21. Even Lopunny got a mega evo, and I'm just sitting here waiting for a Mega Delibird.

  22. Wat. The only existing water HMs are Surf, Dive and Waterfall, with Scald being better than Surf, and Waterfall and Dive, which we covered, are essentially the same. Really don't know what you're trying to say. It only has a 20% chance of activating, unlike Agility's constant boost. Not advisable to rely on it, imo.
  23. Finally, after I've suggested it in a bazillion threads, someone finally accepts the embrace of our true lord Durant. EDIT:And in response to Mint, Empoleon's Special attack is far stronger than it's Attack. Considering that Dive, the only water HM currently available, is physical, keeping Scald (and it's 30% burn chance) is the smarter choice, imo. Even when we get Surf, the high burn chance makes it more useful than the +10 power of Surf. One of Durant's main selling points is it's insane power, which is boosted by 50% by Hustle. It is unknown when we'll get Fly, if ever. It's also better to just spend some time going back&forth for HM Slaves instead of crippling your team members by teaching them something like Cut, effectivelly allowing to only have 3 (usable) moves. And the Ground weakness can be handled by Gogoat's and Empoleon's STABs, I guess.
