  1. As Kane flings open the door he sees Baldur sitting at the far end of his table. His face planted in the middle of the chess board with the pieces scattered everywhere. A couple of empty bottles of liquor lie on the table and one half filled. The filled one still standing (thankfully no liquid to clean up). There seems to be a small pile of glass on the floor that seem to be the remnants of a shot glass. The butler seems to be just fine for the most part. Still breathing. He hasn't reacted to Kane slamming open the door at all.
  2. Silence once again would be the only thing Kane receives..... before..... CRASH The sound of glass shattering comes from inside the room. Unfortunately for Kane the door seems locked, quite the inconvenience for him too.
  3. As Kane adds his little extra he would hear nothing but silence in return. For better or for worse the butler never came downstairs, even for breakfast. Whether this was a blessing or an omen was up for interpretation.
  4. Shaking his head, Argos tried to regain his bearings after Verden had healed him. His vision was still a bit blurry and he hasn't fully caught up with what happened in the battle recently. "T-thanks Verden, I should be good from here!" His sight first locked on Rhian and he noticed that she was slightly wounded luckily he had just the cure! He rushed through the trees, "Rhian, you seem to slightly injured however do I have the thing to help!" He pulls out a vulnerary vial and tries to take some of it out for her. However, the only thing that escaped was a dust bunny. The lad let out an awkward chuckle before searching frantically all throughout his pockets. "C-come on I should have some to spare some where on me!" Argos goes to V23, yoinks the 3/3 vuln from Rhian and heals her w/ it
  5. As Candide sat he could hear the bustling of people and their chatter. At first it was nothing notable at first... until. "Can you believe that black-haired bitch? Asking about Lancelot, why does SHE need to know about him." A female voice sounded, "Well I heard that there are a lot of outsiders coming in and asking about the knight. I hate how they all come in here like the own the place and start asking questions!" A different girls voice said, "I know right. They should just stop letting others into the city!" The girls chatter fades in the bustle of the city.
  6. "Honestly, right now I have no desire to make up with her. It infuriates me when I try and help someone yet they pound it into the dirt and spit on it. Maybe when my blood ceases boiling I'll think about it." He shook his head, "Yet, I can't shake this churning feeling it my gut... I don't enjoy making others angry as much as people may think. I'm suppose to be a butler, someone that reduces the stresses of life not causes them." He paused, "Something that takes a long time to make, huh? I'll keep that in mind. As for now I'm going to fix up your couch then try and go to bed early. Sorry once again and thanks for... well everything." With that Baldur heads up the stairs to his room passing Kane and Cecily, luckily for everyone involved he didn't hear anything since his too busy in his own mind. On his way back down stairs with everything he needs for the couch he locks eyes with wyvern rider, his cold gaze locked upon her for only a few seconds before going back downstairs to fix Simeon's couch.
  7. As Juliett approached the nice lass with a flower basket she gave an immense look of disgust at her. "You want to know about Lancelot? For what?" She scans her up and down, "Oh I see, you just want to get in his pants don't you? You think just because you have nice hair and a cute face you could get with anyone, even a knight of the round table? Well tough luck, even if I did know anything I wouldn't tell you!" She flips her hair and scoffs at her.
  8. "It's not that I don't like or respect her that I said what I said. It's precisely because I respect her as a team mate that I wanted to let her know so she could change. Not only does annoy me personally but I was taught that one should never talk in that manor. If one does it destroy's their character and I've seen too many good people get defamed and shunned for it. I just.. don't want that to happen to anyone in our group. Though it seems I'm just doing more harm than good..." He lets out a sigh, "I suppose I should just buy a shovel to help dig my grave."
  9. Baldur let out a deep sigh, he had completely forgot that Simeon and Arthur were both still here. The Prince had already run off which left left him alone with Simeon, "I'm... sorry you had to see that..." The butler spoke in embarrassment, "Hey Simeon, if you don't mind me asking what do you think of me? Please, don't be afraid to be honest with me."
  10. "Oh, so you just don't want me to speak my mind? Fair enough. I can do that if you can limit your uncouth speech. Also I do plan to apologize to Liz for harming her earlier, probably sometime tomorrow. As for Shin, until he starts shaping up I have no plans to apologize to him. As for being better than everyone, I know for a fact I'm probably the worst member of our group so you don't have to worry about that. If that's all of your concerns can I please go now?" He put his left hand on his hip.
  11. Baldur just starred in silence back at Justine. He didn't know what to say back, how does one respond to that? He was the one actually in the shell? His confusion was plastered on his slightly gaping face. She maybe right... in a way about withdrawing himself. Still it doesn't change how he feels. "Look, never did I once say I was better than anyone else. So tell me when exactly did you hear me say that? Is speaking my mind suddenly a great sin now?"
  12. "Seeking to put others down? PAH! All I'm doing is telling the truth. Shin was and still is a degenerate. You offer to help him but he declines it and currently is not taking any steps to better himself. Have you seen the way he carries himself? Disgusting clothes where he wipes his dirty hands all over because he's too lazy to get a handkerchief or ever a napkin. I've offered to help him myself even yet still he declines. If a man who lives like him refuses to get help and doesn't help himself, I'm sorry but he is most certainly a degenerate. Then Liz comes and starts yelling at me like I'm calling him that because of his social status? Please, then she has the nerve to say I take everything in my life for granted!?" Baldur stopped his angered ranting for a moment. Clenching his fist, a small tear runs down his face, "I have NEVER taken ANYTHING that I've been gifted for granted! When she said that I lost control of myself... I regret laying a hand on her but nothing else! She's a bitch who sees only what she wants to see, just like you. You say I constantly seek to put others down, well I say you need to open your god damned eyes to the world around you. Now if you'll excuse me, I have another bed to make without your bitch ass getting in the way!"
  13. "Oh... That. Yea, I'd rather not give a fake apology." Baldur gripped the bridge of his nose. He forgot he said that. He let his emotions get the best of him there and he probably could've worded it better too, "Look, I don't think you're actually a whore nor would I want you to be. I just think you could tone it down with your... "sexual jokes". Not only are they getting old but they are also crude. For me personally, I despise even hearing them. A member of Virtuous should not degrade themselves to such levels. You should have more self respect and figure out a better form of comedy or ways of speaking. That's all I have to say."
  14. "I mean what I said. I've done nothing to you that I deem worthy of apology. So what exactly do you want me to feel sorry for? Out with it." His response was unflinching and sharp keeping direct eye contact with Justine. Honestly, he wished she'd just come out and say what was on her mind.
  15. Baldur turned and looked towards the performer with annoyance plastered on his face. He crossed his arms and tilted his head, "An apology? An apology for what exactly? I don't remember you being on the receiving end of my fist."
  16. "Oh no, trust me. If you were ever an inconvenience to me you'd know right away." Images of Lizaveta and Shin go through his mind, "You just try to have a good rest and I promise to keep my room open for you should you ever change your mind." With that he bows out returning to Simeon with his more than slightly used staff. "Well Simeon, I've brought the 'ol staff. Say would you be interested in some better sheets and pillows for you couch? I should have more set to spare if you're interested." He's gonna need to get more replacements at this rate.
  17. Nicolos leads the way towards the town stopping on its outskirts turning back to the rest of the gang. "Here we are everyone, Swampmill. Everyone fan out and search for information about Lancelot." "I'm... just going to hang back for a bit. I always seem to draw a crowd in cities around for better or for worse. If anything happens or you find any good leads tell me right away, otherwise just be vigilant. There could be also be Pendragon supports in town as well so be mindful about telling folks you're with me." With that he pulled out a rather large tome and leaned against the trunk of a large tree. He flipped through the pages before stopping seemingly getting back to where he was before.
  18. Nicolos shook himself from his own thoughts and got himself back to the present. "While knowing these feral ones are from Tsukiochi concerns me, that does not change the fact that they must all be put to rest." He pauses for a moment and lets out a deep sigh, "Everyone should get some rest, leave the dirty work to me. We'll head to Swapmill first thing in the morning. I suggest you all go to bed early tonight." The Story Continues in Fire Emblem On The Forums: Excalibur Arena
  19. "Very well, I will ask that you get up for just a brief second." Baldur bows and heads to his room in a flash. In no time at all he's back with fancy sheets, a blanket, two pillows and his old staff. Assuming Crimson had gotten up by that point he had fixed the couch cushions draped the couch with the sheets then tucked them in tightly. He flooffed the pillows and placed them where Crimson laid his head before. Finally, he tucked in the blanket on the other side of the couch so they wouldn't fall off the couch during the night. "There, that should be sufficient. Oh, and is it really that strange to consider you more than an acquaintance after today? If you require anything else don't be afraid to ask, alright?"
  20. "I... See... Well I can at least offer you better sheets and a better pillow. I... consider you... as some level of friend so I don't want to see you sleeping in such conditions. Would you at least accept that?" Baldur was slightly disappointed in his answer but he isn't going to poke anymore at him than he already has.
  21. "Not only able to fix weapons but magical items as well? Is there anything you can't fix?" Baldur let out a light chuckle, "I'll go get my staff then. I'll be back in a second." As his way to his room, Baldur stopped by the couches, specifically the one Crimson was trying to rest on. "There are better places to sleep than on this couch you know. My offer still stands if you want to room with me. A nice cushy bed comes included free of charge if you change your mind." The butler spoke to the red head in a slightly teasing tone.
  22. Baldur starred in shame of what he just said. He was ready to get laughed at. What he was not expecting was that he was... happy and excited to take that order? I suppose it all works out then. "I-I see. Well, I'm glad my ideas are not only feasible but you're also excited to make it. Honestly, I was expecting you to laugh at my ideas but this is a pleasant surprise. I look forward to seeing what you can come up with. Oh, would you need my staff to help you work on the weapon? I could go get it for you if you need it."
  23. "Well actually, I know how to use my staff to move things around. So what if I could use it on my weapon as well? Maybe add a knife attachment of some kind to it so I could launch and move it around or maybe even spin it in place on the staff itself. T-hough, if that's not possible I understand... a regular knife will suffice." He scratched the back of a bit embarrassed.
  24. "Yes, I think I've spent far too long without a weapon to defend myself since a staff isn't going to be lethal anytime soon. I'd prefer something to keep me light on my feet and won't take up too much space. Something like knives or daggers. Would that be at all possible?" Not going to lie, he didn't know the first thing about smithing or what goes into it. It doesn't help that his nerves are already on edge.
