  1. "Oh phew, I should have never doubted my father in the first place!" Argos let out a sigh of relief before it was cut off by the sound of roaring thunder. Ceridwen had just been struck down while he was Lilly gagging worrying about things that weren't important to the task at hand. Argos was filled with rage towards himself and to the enemy party. How could he have let this happen? He knows they got into a heated fight two weeks ago but she was still his comrade. There's no way in hell he's gonna let her die here! "Rggghhh! You bastards! Get away from her!" Argos unveiled his wooden sword from his back before charging at the other thunder mage. I suppose not having a drake has its perks for situations like these. Argos moves to T10 and beats the mage senseless with the wooden sword
  2. Jade was getting frustrated at this point, enough with trying to shoot off it's damn mask. Just a bullet to the head is good enough at this point. Jade fires off Ace of Spades' Basic attack that deals (2d6+26)*1.5 damage and inflicts -2 Init with a 26% chance to crit and deal triple damage Dodge chance: 28%
  3. On the two week walk over here something was on Argos' mind the entire time. A Mid-Wing Commander taken hostage huh... was it someone he knew? Could it be... no, there's no way he would get himself captured. He was way too strong for something like that to happen, b-but just to be sure he had to ask. "Hey, Johanna, could I ask you something real quick...? Did you ever get a name for the Mid-Wing Commander that was taken hostage by chance?"
  4. "Run of the mill huh? I'd hate to be the elder. I wouldn't know what I'd do if she burnt everything in my home..." "Uhhh, yea well, we were just wonder how exactly were the soldiers of the corrupt empire treated after the liberation army won or really any empire supporters in general. From what we heard, they were persecuted and thrown into jail." The lad tapped the knuckles of his fist to his chin for a moment. "Oh, also, I don't expect an exact answer but how many people were conscripted into the empire's army? Some of the folks from last night said they really didn't have a choice to fight for the empire. Why was that?"
  5. Baldur quickly moved to Ferdiad's side, the blue orb on his staff glowed as his healing magic washed over the rider. "Please be more careful, Sir Knight. You were nearly overwhelmed. I might not always be nearby to fix you up and I would hate to have something bad happen to you." Baldur move to N8 and heal Ferdiad And Kane attack mage A
  6. "Oh, don't worry. I know better than anyone how it feels to get really into your training!" Argos chuckled, "We just came here to ask the elder some questions to see what he knows. Specifically about the war ten years ago..." The lad took another glance back at the book at her hip. Was she a mage then? Wait if she was overzealous with her training... "Hold on, the house isn't on fire is it? You were practicing with magic right? I mean you have what looks like a tome on your hip."
  7. Argos looked around the house a bit confused, what was all that ruckus about? "Y-yea, I'm with the Allied Guard. I was heading over here when I heard a scream and noises coming from inside... I thought someone might is in trouble. Is everything alright?" Well this was more than a bit awkward. The girl didn't seem to be in a panic however, maybe he was just jumping to conclusion.
  8. As they approached the door Argos found it odd when he saw the front door open. Meh, it was no skin off his bones though. Maybe they just wanted to come in for a quick moment before leaving. Then it all went to fear when he heard the the crash and the screams. "H-huh!? Is someone being attacked in there? You think someone from last night might've survived and came back for revenge!?" Without any hesitation he drew the wooden sword from his back. He actually wanted to grab his new one but force of habit had him grab his old one. "I'm going in! Watch my back!." Before Dulcibella could respond he charged into the house, He slammed the door open heading to the left side of the house and the source of the noise. "Is everyone alright in here!? I heard a crash and a scream!"
  9. "Mink! Hold on I'll be right there!" Baldur rushed over to the girl staff in hand. Once he was next to her he raised the blue orb end of his staff into the air before sending down a wave of healing magic onto her. "There, that should take care of it." Baldur move to M6 and give nice heals to Lenore
  10. "Yea, at this rate we'll never be able to finish everything before we have to go. Also, just let me know whenever you want a pointer or two. I'm always free to help!" Argos slammed his fist onto his chest plate making a thud sound as well as sending a small wave of pain up his arms but he wouldn't show it.
  11. "Well, I AM a swordsman, if you need it I can always show you a thing or two about how to wield one. Plus we are in a city of warriors, I doubt there's a better place to start than here." "But you're usually on your horse in combat right? I don't really know much about mounted combat myself so I guess I can only go so far with it."
  12. "I mean, I'm not gonna say bows aren't good weapons. I just think it's rather hard to stop an axe with a polished stick and string. Plus only attack from far away seems kinda boring. If anything, I'd rather be able to fight at range and up close with one weapon. Though, I doubt I'll ever throw my blade at an enemy."
  13. "Yea.. for now anyways. I'll probably just mess up again or as soon as she finds out about me she'll just avoid me like everyone back in Gyoa." Argos just kinda stares off blankly for a moment before speaking "W-well I'm glad you're having fun, and I guess I could learn more about bows too. I doubt I'll actually use one but it still seems interesting how they work."
  14. "I-I mean, of course. I don't know the first thing about bows and stuff but I'll go with you! I mean I did drag you all over the place it's the least I could do, ya know." Argos gives an awkward chuckle, just now realizing what he's been doing. Geeze he must seem like a total dork right now... oh well...
  15. "OH THANK THE GODDESS!" Argos give a large sigh of relief, "I don't know how long I could've lasted in a library. Honestly, I'd probably die before 30 minutes had passed." "I didn't want to say anything because I was the one who suggested it but I'm glad you spoke up. So lets head to the Elder's place then, Fless said it should be that-a-way, right by the Library!" Argos began leading the way forward, "I just hope the Elder doesn't mind visitors."
  16. Gracefully weaving between the foliage of the trees, Baldur can't help but be disappointed in these so called knights. "Still trying to get at me it seems. Your moves are predictable and your form is shoddy at best." Without adding anything more Baldur jumps back behind his allies and out from the trees. If he could give these knights something, it's that they are a resilient bunch if anything else. Baldur moves to L5
  17. Determined to get one of the silver scorpion's masks off, Jade fires another bullet trying to blast it off it's face once more. Taking in a deep breath and steadying his arm he locks onto the mask he shot at before and pulls the trigger. The end of Ace's barrel grows frost but then quickly melts away due to the heat in the cave. Jade fires off Ace of Spades' Basic attack that deals (2d6+26)*1.5 damage and inflicts -2 Init with a 26% chance to crit and deal triple damage Dodge chance: 28%
  18. As a Free action Toshiro activates his Dash Tech to increase his Dex by 1.5 for 1 Turn, 3 Turn cooldown The Fishman then uses Rending Strike on Beast Master 2, (2d6+2d4+26 Cold Damage) [When this weapon successfully deals damage it inflicts a Frostburn effect(not to be confused with IceFire) that deals 2d3 cold damage at the start of the user's next turn.]
  19. "Oh we will for sure see each other again! Just don't die on me ya hear?" He said waving goodbye to Fless walking away a bit before turning back to Dulcibella. "Soooooo, where do you wanna go first? We still got to go to that library though Fless did say they don't have too many books... Also that one bow place, if you needed a new one we could go there. Maybe we could go to the elder's house too, if anyone would know stuff about the war it would be him!" Argos spoke, listing off ideas. Honestly, to him reading sounded kinda boring. He wouldn't know how long he could last in that library. Not that he would ever say that to Dulci after he suggested they should do that last night.
  20. "Hmph, ganging up on the ones with no weapons. It's smart I'll give you that but your honor could use a bit more work" Baldur moved his way further back while applying some medicine. Though, why wasn't he surprised these heathens lacked honor. Baldur move to I5 Vul up Kane move to H7 and knife Knight B
  21. Moving forward with the group, Baldur took cover behind the trees. Watching the Knight he had his staff at the ready for if he needed to be patched up Baldur move to K6, Heal Ferdiad if he needs it once he attacks
  22. "Don't worry, I'll find a name for him, even if it kills me. Also, if I do find this Flik in my travels, I'll let him know to keep an eye out for Flynn and Fless." He nods to Fless as their firm handshake ceases before turning back to Ducli, "We should get going, still lots to do before we have to leave. We still need to get you a bow as well as begin to read up on the war. Which we'll probably have to find the village Library too." Argos turns back to "Unless you wanna come with us for bow shopping or doing some book reading I think this is where we part ways for now. When I see you next, promise me you'll show me how much you've improved. In both your swordsmanship and your archery."
  23. Argos took the blade by the hilt and took a couple steps back getting a safe distance back. He held it in both hands before giving two horizontal swings, having the last swing give him the momentum to do turn around downward slash and followed it which a war cry. Finally he spun it in a pinwheel motion on his left side and guided it to arc over his head and to his right side while it still spun. Halting it, the tip of the blade pointed away from his body towards the grassy ground, before doing one final spin as he locked it in place on his back. "Who is the most important person or thing for me...?" "Thanks guy, I can feel how good the craftsmanship is just from a couple swings. I'm truly honored. What's even more embarrassing is I still don't even know your name yet. So lets start over," Argos walked up to the lad and extended his hand out to him, "The name is Argos, the Invoker of Mayhem and it's been a pleasure meeting you!" He said in a rather respectful tone without any yelling this time.
  24. "A-are you sure? I mean, I'm honored and I'd love to use that sword but it is yours after all. Would Flynn be okay with you just giving your blade away like" Argos was surprised to find the lad wanting to give his sword to him. Truth be told he REALLY wanted that sword. If not just to flip off the smith who said he wasn't worth his time. However, he couldn't just take the boy's sword unless he was absolutely certain about giving away.
