  1. "Oh-ho-ho, this kid is so dead... or he would be if Sir Roland wasn't watching from afar." The knight thought to himself. "Fine if that's they way he's gonna play it, two can play that kind of game." "Oh, right you two were having a conversation before. I do hope you don't mind if I join in. Something about gardens and old secret passageways? I'm more than a bit doubtful a boy such as yourself would know about any sort of secret passageways."
  2. "Thank you." Lyle said nodding his head. He didn't feel any explanation was needed, after all she did the same thing for her own sibling. With that he turned around and slowly walked up to the two, the ominous sound of his armor clanging louder as he grew closer. He stood upright besides Lyla staring down at the boy trying to woo his precious sister. Well, by starring I mean pointing his face down directly at Gaven. He would only be able to see his unamused mouth and nose as his eyes were covered by his crimson hair. One could only imagine how much fierceness those eyes carried with them. His mouth then grew a sinister grin as he began to speak, "Oh, hello there. Gaven was your name correct? I could help but notice you talking with my SISTER and I just COULD NOT help but find out more about you." He slowly lifted his gauntlet out, offering a simple handshake, "I'm Lyle, it's an honor." If Gaven had not yet already ran away and was foolish enough to place his hand with his. Well, simply put he would feel a crushing grasp envelope his hand. Nothing that would cause damage or permanent harm, not yet anyways. This would simply be a warning, a long.......... drawn out.......... warning.
  3. Lyle's mouth began to twitch slightly as he heard what that brat Gavan was saying to Lyla. It made his blood boil. "A-ah yes, introductions..." His voice started cracking, "My name is Lyle, it's a p-pleasure to meet you." He firmly shook the lady's hand, though his pointer finger twitched up and down as he did so. It was getting tough to contain his anger. If he could just grab hold of that boy's neck quickly finish this conversation and tell the boy to stop whatever he was trying to do with Lyla.
  4. "You have my word as a knight that I shall no longer stare at your sibling in such a way again, lest my honor be sullied. So you need not worry about future stares from me." He spoke doing an an exaggerated salute to the women. "Besides, with a sister such as yourself I doubt she'd be up to anything nefarious."
  5. Lyle awkwardly waved back to the captain. He didn't know how to react, at first he thought he was beckoning him over but that wouldn't make sense. Then Lyle noticed a boy, Gaven he called himself, bumping into Lyla. He didn't like that one bit, he also didn't like how touch he was getting with her hand. But the captain was watching so he couldn't be too forceful. Unless he REALLY wants to get him mad. But the the girl from earlier started apologizing to him. He couldn't simple ignore her, but he couldn't let that boy do whatever he's doing to Lyla. Something inside him is just turning furiously just looking at it. However, he decided to focus on the feather girl as she was more immediate. "No, please, do not worry yourself about such things. If someone was messing with my sister I would try and help as soon as I would be able. So like I said, you have nothing to apologize over."
  6. After they all escaped from the manor, Belros made sure to return all the equipment he had to their rightful owners. He still kept the bag over his shoulder, after all that's where the Null Armor is being held. He had yet to tell anyone he found it though. As they were walking to find a way off the island, however, he kept his distance staying at the very far back of the group. He kept silent not saying a word. He was happy Karik found his parents, it would be terrible if he was never able to, but that's not why he's clammed up. After all the group went through, Belros blamed himself for it. No words could express how guilty he feels because they all nearly lost their lives and it was all his fault. He didn't know what to say or do. The thought of leaving also crept into his mind, would they be better off without a burden like him around? But then how else will he avenge the guild? He can't do it alone. But if he stays it feels like he's using them for his own personal gain. Either way seem like walking down of guilt and bad decisions. So he just stayed back, not saying a word.
  7. Viola blasts the soldier with her wind magic and it does some noticeable damage. Cheat Sheet:
  8. Tekeshi's sword glimmers as he strikes the swordsman. However he is met with foes blade as well and they both take damage. Cheat Sheet:
  9. "Alright everyone, I think that's enough break time. We're still within the lion's den after all." Zentilin spoke bringing everyone's attention back to him. "Now, the final challenge in our escape is to get into the forest. That may sound easy, however this place is surrounded by mountains and the only other way out is through the main gate. Unless Mercadier wants to ferry each one of us individually across the peaks. By now they've probably have some sort of fortifications around said gate but if we're quick about it we should be able to escape before they call in back up. Oh and before I forget, if the prince's retainer was set to guard the barracks that means he must be at aware of our end goal. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if the man is guarding the main gate himself. My point is, if he sees you he will charge in and strike. If it gets to that point let ME handle him. That is just a personal request though, do not hesitate to defend yourself... and... do what you must." He was hesitant to say those last words, and it pained him to do so. With his shtick taken care of the group heads out of the stables and towards the main gate. Map Start! Map Theme
  10. "Yes Sir!" Lyle spoke getting into the salute position. Lyle was indeed intimidated by the captain but he always tries his hardest to hide it. He wasn't mad at his punishment, he deserved it. It wasn't right for him or anyone to be starring at someone even when they were visibly uncomfortable. He turns Renee, "My apologies mam, I acted rashly. I should not have acted the way I did and I shall take my punishment accordingly. Even if I am not forced to, if the barracks require cleaning I shall clean them on my own volition. So please do not feel bad for you have nothing to guilt yourself over." Lyle owed much to Lord Coel, scrubbing the barracks is nothing compared to the kindness the man had shown him and his sister. Besides, if a job needs to be done then someone must take care of it either way. Then the proposal came up about sparring and a smile grew across his face, "Gladly, Sir! I'd love to clash steel with you once more! I'll show you just how much I've improved!" His excitement drenched his voice. He wishes that the dinner be over sooner so that he could go straight to the match. Even if most likely he'd get knocked on his butt a barley leave a scratch on the man. Hell, landing a scratch on him would be achievement enough for him and even more the better.
  11. "My apologies, however, your sibling seems oddly suspicious. Well, the most suspicious out of anyone else at the moment. I'm just making sure she won't cause trouble. I would've averted my gaze once I was certain." Lyle said bluntly to the lady. She seemed nice enough, if not a bit passive aggressive.
  12. "A Knight must be ever vigilant of danger, even if Padstov rarely sees attacks from ruffians a gathering like this is a perfect time to strike." As he spoke he glances at the person in the corner, being the most suspicious at the moment. He let out a sigh before relaxing his stance a little and scratching the back of his head, "Though I guess I could stand to loosen up a bit but the armor is staying. Honestly though, I would've thought you'd prefer to help prepare dinner rather than being here."
  13. Mercer didn't expect Meredith to use such strength and the force made him jerk forward a bit, however he still was able to keep his feet firm in place. He chuckled a bit, "Well if you say so. I'm still honored to be a part of your group nonetheless. My axe shall be apart of this group until our goals are achieved or until I no longer draw breath." The made had a relived smile on him. This went a whole lot better than expected, and hopefully everything else in the future will too.
  14. Lyle stood by the entrance of the room staunch, upright and with his arms crossed. He even came to this feast with his armor adorned on him. Almost like a royal knight manning his post. He had only recently moved into Padstow with his younger sister. While he could've made an acquaintance or two he rarely left the estate. Thus everyone here was quite the stranger to him. However, that will not deter him from his job. No matter stranger or friend a true hero must protect all from any threat.
  15. As the armored lady took in that deep breath time seemed to move exponentially slower... Listening as the air slowly filled her lungs was heart pounding... ... What was she going to say. What was she going to do? ... Would it be some rigorous test to test hid grit and might? Would he have to fight her in a duel? Would she make him duel someone else? ... ... All these potential ideas and more raced the through man's head. ... ... ... Then as Meredith opened her mouth his anticipation reached it's peak. Now was the moment he would find out what in the goddess' name will happen next. ... ... ... ... "Sure." And in that instant his adrenaline, his fear, his anticipation, it all crashed and burned into the ground with that single word phrase. All that self made build up for such a simple response. It was quite the thrill kill, the kinda of kill when a book, TV show or movie builds up the climax but it's just disappointing at best. "So... that's is? Asking if I really want to join? Not going to test my worth or check about my previous history?" Mercer spoke a dismayed at this whole situation.
  16. Belros pitied the crying man. As he awkwardly walked into the room he tried not to stare. Wanting to get his job done as quick as possible he just took out the key to the chest and opened it. Move to G-3 and open the chest with the key

  18. [Enemy Phase] "I-I... Shall not.. Falter!" Alunda speaks before lunging at Tekeshi. Alunda attacks Tekeshi Her blade pierces Tekeshi's shoulder before she takes it out and kicks him onto the floor. "W-who's next!? I'll take all of you on!" She speaks determined even though she is already visibly tired. A smack across her face would probably be enough to knock her off her feet. [Ally Phase] Zentilin rushes forward towards the retainer, stopping a fair distance while holding his dark magic tome. Alunda squints her eyes at the cloaked man in suspicion, "Hold there! You with the hood, you will identify yourself! I can't help but feel I've seen you before." The man says nothing except give her a sinister smile. Before the woman could speak anything else sent a blast of dark magic at her. Zentilin moves to M6 and attacks Alunda with Flux The blast effortlessly hit the lady which robbed her of some of her life force. She got on one knee, and stabbed her sword into the ground leaning on it to keep herself up. "I'm sorry milord, I have failed you..." She utters before falling onto the floor. She's still noticeably breathing but other then that she's no longer posing any threat. Zentilin then gently picks her up and leans her on the walls of the stables, leaving her sword in her lap. "You damned fool, loyal even when it would've costed your life. I guess I really the only one with some backbone." He sighed before standing up and proceeding to open up the door. "Come, we're nearing the finale of our escape. Wouldn't want to keep them waiting for our final act." With that the group heads into the stables leaving the bodies of the guard left in their wake. VICTORY! Cheat Sheet: ~~~ Chapter 2: The Prince's Final Defense The stable is relatively empty, besides the tools and and equipment used for animal handling, some stools and a single pegasus. The steed was in surprisingly good condition and already saddled up. "Alright everyone get yourselves patched up and rested. We can spare a few moments while these to get reacquainted." The rogue spoke glancing at Mercadier as he said so. "For those new to our group I'm the self-appointed leader Zentilin. If you wish to introduce yourself now is the time." The first prisoner decides to speak up. "Well might as well at least give y'all my name, seeing as you went our of your way to save me ya know. It's Oliver, nice to meet ya. Don't know how long each of us will last but I'm grateful towards everyone nonetheless." The second prisoner then steps forward. "M-my name is Kiran and I'm also grateful that you all saved me. I'm really sorry for being a burden to all of you, I'll try to stay out of everyone's way." He bows before stepping back.
  19. They trade blows, both seemingly to be near their limits. Cheat Sheet:
  20. Tekeshi's sword glows for a moment as he finishes off the axeman. He feels somewhat revitalized afterward. As Viola approaches their leader she points her rapier at the mage. "I am Alunda Freya, Xemnir Nox's most loyal retainer! By his order I shall not permit you to go any further! En Garde!" Her voice was identical to the feminine voice they heard moments ago. Alunda would soon realize that she was at a clear disadvantage in both number and range as she took the full force of Viola's wind magic. But she wouldn't just sit back and let them pelt her with attacks from afar. Cheat Sheet:
  21. [Enemy Phase] Journeyman A attacks Viola Now that the air currents have calmed the guard is able to hit Viola, however, that does not save him from another gust of wind to the face. [Ally Phase] "Can we please stop these wall shenanigans? It wasn't funny the first time, nor was it the second." The rogue spoke disappointed before he headed forward. Zentilin moves to N10 Prisoner B moves to O13 Prisoner A moves to N15 [Player Phase] Viola Heals 3 HP Cheat Sheet:
  22. Zentilin is just is awe once more. Once was strange enough but now they're doing it again. He may never comprehend why. Nevertheless the wall crumbles to bits after being hit by the axe. ~~~ Meanwhile, with the boss Alunda was doing as she was ordered, guarding the stables just in case they had the fancy idea of stealing horses to escape. What she found strange is there was only one mount in the stable and it was a pegasus. Once she heard fighting coming from the right side she immediately ordered those guarding the left to head over. She wondered who these prisoners were, able to take our trained and armed guards. They must be very smart and capable warriors to do such a feat... And then she saw them start randomly destroying the walls. Her thoughts now tend to make them out as savage brutes who destroy whatever they wish, or maybe they just get some sort of kick just randomly destroying things. Either way, she's more disappointed in her guardsmen for not being able to take out this rabble then she is impressed at the group.
  23. Viola blasts the axeman with a strong gust of wind which makes his axe go off course and miss. Cheat Sheet:
  24. Viola easily blasts the swordsman sending him dead onto the ground. Cheat Sheet:
