Clint sighed. He'd been in this open field area for a while, but all he could find were rodents and bugs. He looked back up at Pimparella, who was busy wiping the remains of a wurmple that had tried to make a move on her master off of her tail. "It's cool girl. We'll find something." But, just as he finished his sentence he felt a small tug on his leg, "What is it Rocky?" He turned around expecting to see the small Tyrogue, but instead there was another GAO. It was pink ... and fuzzy ... and it had big blue eyes ... and it was just so freaking cute. It would have been any five-year old girl's dream, but unfortunately Clint was not a five-year old girl. Clint took one look at the thing and began to chuckle and kneeled down to look at it. "You're a pathetic little thing aren't you. It's time for you to go little puff-ball," he said while pushing the fuzz-ball away. However, much to Clint's dismay the new GAO wouldn't leave him alone. It quickly ran back up to him and jumped in the air, trying its best to hug Clint's face. "Get out of here!" Clint responded, grabbing the overly adorable puff-ball and punting it as far as he could. The puff-ball yelped in a weird way as Clint punted it. It was almost like it said 'Jiggly' or something as it sailed through the air, several meters away. Clint smirked, hoping that the GAO would get the message. But, it didn't seem to be enough as the little fairy started running back to Clint. Clint looked up to Pimparella, who seemed to be enjoying the current situation as it laid curled up with a big grin on it's face. "Can you do something about this thing?!" He asked his own GAO, but the Onix lazily turned over and pretended to ignore the situation. Clint smacked his head as the pink creature jumped onto his back and hugged him. "Whatever..." he consented, when suddenly he felt another tug on his leg. Clint cringed, fearing yet another fuzz-ball had taken a liking to him. However, much to Clint's relief, it was his own Tyrogue. The lizard had been sent into the thicker part of the woods to see if there as anything there worth catching, and apparently it had found something. The little fighter tugged on his master urging Clint to follow him. Clint complied and called back Pimparella. And started to follow Rocky, forgetting about the little puff-ball still on his back. Rocky led Clint through the deeper parts of the woods, until they came to a small stream. Then Clint saw his prize. They were god damn bears, Rocky had led them too. In fact there were two of them fighting each other. Clint couldn't have asked for anything better. He got down and started to sneak over to the two of them, hoping their fight would keep there attention while he tried to catch them. As he crawled he noticed his back get slightly lighter, but he paid it no mind. He was in position now as the two bears viciously clawed at one another. He took the empty capsule from his pocket and aimed carefully. His toss was crisp and perfectly aimed. It sailed through the air until he saw it. The puff-ball had jumped into the air, directly into the path of the ball... Clint cursed loudly and rushed forward, but it was too late, the ball had captured it's target and the puff-ball was now the balls new occupant. Clint rushed forward and smashed the ball into the ground, cursing loudly at the smiling pink GAO. Unfortunately, this helped grab the attention of the bears. They turned to face Clint and his new partner and began charging. Clint paused, terrified as the bears began rushing at him. However, despite his master's inopportune freezing up, Rocky knew what to do. The tiny fighting stepped between his master and the charging monsters and began to focus all of his energy into his fist. The bears grew closer. Clint finally came back to his senses, realizing the danger of the situation. "NOW!" he called out to the tiny lizard-fighter. The Tyrogue unleashed a massive punch on the first charging bear. The bear roared in severe pain as it was launched several feet backwards. Clint couldn't help but smile. Unfortunately though the good feelings wouldn't last. The punch left the Tyrogue open and the second bear took full advantage. It slashed viciously at the small fighter who reeled backwards, completely incapable of taking the attack from the much stronger GAO. Clint screamed in rage as he saw the tiny fighters head smash into the ground. He rushed forward looking to defend his GAO and picked him up. It was admirable, but it certainly wasn't intelligent. By the time Clint had made it to his GAO the bear had made his way over to Clint. The bear roared viciously ready to make it's strike, when suddenly a strange song caught his ears. He turned around and caught his new pink GAO releasing an attack. It was .... singing? Clint went to turn back to face the bear, but suddenly collapsed. ___ Clint awoke several hours later to the sight of the fuzzball standing firmly on his chest, a dumb smile on it's face. Clint looked down and noticed he was still holding his injured Tyrogue and quickly pulled out its capsule and returned it to its home. Then he pushed the fuzzball off of him, looking around the field fearfully for the bears, but they were nowhere to be found. Clint looked down at his new GAO and sighed. "So I guess this is yours huh?" he said holding up the puff-ball's capsule. The pink GAO spun around in glee and jumped back onto Clint's back, hugging him for dear life. Clint sighed again, "Well I guess I gotta call you somethin'. You like to sing right? I guess I'll call you Diva or whatever." Diva hugged him tighter, as if to signify approval for its new name. Clint looked away, muttering to himself, "Well it's not like I needed that five dollars anyway..."

Mr. Taylor turned and gave Phantom a nod. The old man knew where to go, though he couldn't say he liked going in without asking Rose what they were up against. He turned to the rest of the group. "All right then lads and lasses, I believe it's time to head down to the next level," He said with a bit of somberness in his voice, "I suppose we should do our best to stay together. It wouldn't do for having any of us die before we reach the bottom." He sighed and stepped into the portal. -
Clint turned and gave Nathan a quick wink. He'd collected money from about 6 of them and to be honest he wasn't really surprised about who hadn't put any money in. Jory was more of a hero type, he wouldn't be shocked if he jumped on later, but he knew the guy wouldn't be all too comfortable about it. Enyo was a lone wolf and to be honest, Clint was kind of glad she wasn't involved. Getting shown up by a girl twice wasn't something he was all too willing to have happen. And then there was Erick. Clint liked the kid, but he was pretty happy he hadn't joined the contest as well. It wasn't his fault really, more his dad's fault, but the kid just drew way too much attention from the higher ups. Not that they hadn't noticed, but Clint guessed that they wouldn't want Erick involved for some reason or another. For the rest of them that had put money in, Kenny was the only real shocker. He seemed to be a bit of a boy scout, a smart kid for sure, but he was definitely risk-adverse. Though, Kenny was one of the first to throw his money up, so maybe Clint didn't know as much about his fellow cadets as he'd thought. Clint shrugged off the thoughts about his fellow cadets and quickly put the money in his back pocket, whilst retrieving Pimparella's capsule. He tossed the capsule forward and out emerged Clint's pride and joy. The massive Onix looked over at its master happily and bent down to allow Clint to ride on top of her. Clint complied, hopping on the giant snake and issued a command for the beast to make it's way into the forest. The Onix rushed forward without a moment's hesitation. Clint turned back to the group as his monster made it's way into the forest, shouting "Good luck guys. Hopefully ya'll can find your own Pimparella some day." He smirked as he turned around, fully assured he'd be bringing back the best prize.

Clint lingered a moment after Oak had finished talking. He stared absent-mindedly at the new capsules he'd just been given, a blank expression consuming his face. He hadn't been able to stop thinking about it. Fighting that thing had just been horrifying. Sure, he'd acted brave at the time, but the experience as a whole had been ... Humbling. Clint shaked the feeling off and turned around. He quickly noticed that most of his team had made it's way out of the Western Gate and decided to follow. As soon as he stepped outside, he instinctively reached for his pocket, pulling out another cigarette and lit up. As he exhaled his first puff, a thought raced in his head. He quickly turned to the group, "All right, fellas. Let's make this a little interesting, everyone put 5 bucks in a pool. Who ever comes back with the top GAO, takes the pot."

I still want Clint to catch a Jigglypuff. Also, will our cadets recognize/know of some of the more common pokemon in the forest? They've been on base for 6 months or so now and since just about everyone on base has GAOs, most of the more common ones would be at least recognizable to the cadets.- 1189 replies

As soon as Ellaria said it, Mr. Taylor noticed it. Most of the cuts had stopped bleeding, but some were still going. Mr. Taylor thought about using his power, but he pushed the thought away. He'd be far less useful to the group if he used it again, just another distraction, that power was far too erratic. The group didn't have time to deal with Michael again. Not even to help Rose, she just reminded him so much of her. Mr. Taylor pushed the thought away again and ripped the coat from his back and began to tear pieces off. Then he pressed the individual pieces on her wounds and tried his best to stop the bleeding. The bleeding wasn't too bad, and many of the cuts that Mr. Taylor worked on seemed to clot fairly quickly. Mr. Taylor turned back to Ellaria, "Don't worry my dear, she's in no real danger," he began as he kept working, "Still though, she should be more careful about using her power," he looked back to the rest of the group, specifically Enya and Annie, "In fact we should all be careful with our powers, they may be useful at times, but the cost is often great," he looked down to the ground, his cheeks blushing slightly, "I know that as well as anyone else." -

Mr. Taylor did his best to lead the girls down the staircase. As he reached the bottom of the steps he noticed a familiar face laying on the ground. "Rose!" he called out, rushing over to her body, which was littered in cuts. He reached to her neck and checked her pulse, which was positive. Mr. Taylor let out a sigh of relief as he looked back to the rest of the group. "She's still alive, just exhausted. Perhaps we should wait for her to wake up, before we make our next move." -
Maximus again listened intently as Rodriguez talked and Esemerelda seemingly vanished. He wanted to chase after her, but since Rodriguez hadn't made a move, he decided to stay put. Besides, Esmerelda's disappearance was hardly the first thing on his mind. Rodriguez's words had cut deep. Maximus had very little family and friends. Sure some of the other Ekarders had bonded with him, but none could truly accept him, not after knowing who his father was. His family consisted of his mother and no one else. But, still despite having very few people in his life, Maximus knew he couldn't risk their well-being. He leaned back and looked back over at Rodriguez. "The House Steele, my house, it's almost in complete ruin. My family consists of myself and my mother, and friends are few and far between, especially due to the actions of my father. But, still, you're right I couldn't risk my mothers life or the people that have shown me friendship. But, remember this Rodriguez, you're also someone who has shown me friendship, so if your journey with the Sky Slayer begins tonight, just know that you'll always have an ally in the Drake Veil."

Mr. Taylor whipped around to see Ellaria, Annie, and Enya coming. He was excited to see them and was about to call out to them, but suddenly a large explosion ruptured from bellow. He looked around and noticed a thicker stick on the ground and decided to pick it up and use it as a makeshift cane. He turned to the rest of the group, "Alright boys and gals, that explosion is likely our best way out, we'll need to get down there as quickly as possible." He turned to Phantom in particular now, "Is there any way you can move us over there? I fear time may be of the essence in this situation." -

Maximus listened intently. It was almost insane hearing the words flowing from his lips. I mean sure, Maximus never placed religion highly in his life. In fact being sent here by his mother seemed a punishment to him at the time. Maximus couldn't care less about Azuaqyar. But, to think of him as a villain? Maybe not an intentional one, but if what Rodriguez was saying was true he'd effectively be destroying the world. It was hard to believe the truth in what he was saying, in fact it seemed a little out there. The whole world may unite against the church, sure, but if Azuaqyar himself was leading the charge it would be doubtful that anyone would dare challenge him. Despite having these thoughts Maximus kept silent. He agreed with Rodriguez to an extent. Stratos didn't seem evil and he was likely acting in what he believed was for the better of mankind. And Maximus didn't know as much of the world as Rodriguez, perhaps there was truly wisdom in his words. But, there was one factor that influenced what Maximus would say next the most. Maximus had spent almost a full night in this city and only a few people had even taken the time to say words to him. These people were Rodriguez, Esmerelda (thought not entirely through her own will), and Stratos. Some people may think it was destiny to aid Stratos and Rodriguez, but Maximus didn't care for such a thing. These people were the only people with decency and honor in the whole city. He turned to Rodriguez and began to speak. "Alright," he said still mulling over what he'd say next, "If Stratos fails tonight then I'll help you with your quest." Maximus wasn't entirely sure what he was saying, he knew he'd have to return home soon, to fulfill his duty. But, there was something telling him to help Rodriguez, he couldn't put his finger on it, but it was there. He looked at the bartender, or magistrate or whatever he was, and extended a hand. Knowing full well he was ready for whatever happened next.

The Awakened [OOC - Registrations Closed]
Supernovae replied to Flux's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Thanks Hukuna, that's sort of what I was going for. I wanted to make Jude a character who was almost the exact opposite of me in every way, but still at the end believable. Since he's irritating you as well, that means that he's not cartoonishly evil/obedient, which is what I was worried about doing. -
Maximus eyed Rodriguez. He couldn't quite tell his desires. Did he wish Stratos would slay the Sky Slayer or was he just accepting reality. Maximus sighed, he was never really great at reading people. He was a man of virtue, not deception. And so he decided he'd just go ahead and ask the former magistrate. He stared into the distance still eyeing the Sky Slayer as Rodriguez had pointed out earlier, intent on keeping his eyes on the man, "Tell me," he began, "What's your opinion on him? He said he wasn't evil. He acted just as I had earlier in defending the thief girl. So tell me, do you think of him as an evil man or is he in the right to try and slay Azuaqyar once more."

The Awakened - First Pillar (IC Thread)
Supernovae replied to Flux's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Jude remained silent through most of he and Zweiss's walk. He was intent on listening, learning whatever he could from his new leader. It was becoming apparent to Jude that this was God's messenger. His prodigal son. Why else would this man be given such a powerful gift. And not only was the gift powerful, but so was the man. The way he walked, talked, presented himself it just reeked with power. A power Jude knew he could never truly possess. Even if the powers granted to them were reversed, Zweiss would still be the leader and Jude would be the follower, Jude knew this all too well. And it didn't bother him at all. Jude knew his place. He was God's right hand. A weapon to be sent to deliver judgement. He wasn't fit to pass the judgement himself. In fact, Jude most likely preferred his role. It was more pleasant to him to follow than it was too lead. It was simpler. Since God is benevolent, then why would Jude ever question him. He was pure, righteous and most importantly divine. Jude was just happy he was on the right side. These were the thoughts that kept Jude occupied on there walk to Utopia and when his eyes first saw Utopia, they did not go away. Instead they were solidified. Whatever one would say about Utopia, Jude knew one thing. That this was home. He turned to his new master and quickly fell to one knee, "I will serve you second only to the lord. Just tell me what task you need done and I will complete it or I will die trying." -

Mr. Taylor gasped loudly. The world seemed to rush back to him, just like the oxygen rushing back in to his lungs. He opened his eyes and looked around, noticing the masked man from before. It was strange, the man had plunged him into that hospitable environment, then pulled him out to save his life. He was clearly trying to protect Mr. Taylor, something the masked man had done before. But why? He didn't seem interested in traveling with anyone, nor was he interested in anything Mr. Taylor had. Everyone else traversing hell had a clearly defined reason to be down here, but what was this masked crusader's? Was he here for money? Power? Retribution? To restore his honor? These questions and more filled the head of the recovering man, but there was one thing Mr. Taylor could be sure of. He trusted this man. For whatever reason this man had gone out of his way to help Mr. Taylor numerous times, and not once had Mr. Taylor repaid the favor. In fact it almost seemed a theme for him. Almost everyone here had struck there neck out to pull Mr. Taylor from the fire, and Mr. Taylor could only respond by getting in the way. It was infuriating. Despite all of his knowledge and skills, when it came to combat, Mr. Taylor was essentially a child. Something that needed to be protected and cared for, but not something that could really fight back. Sure, he'd held his own on a few occasions, but it never lasted. And yeah, Mr. Taylor did bring Ethic back from the brink of death once, but in the end that decision only ended up with an attempted kidnap. Mr. Taylor knew he'd have to travel with this man, he seemed like he had secrets, secrets Mr. Taylor wanted to know. But, there was more than that, this man seemed so lonely, so lost. Mr. Taylor needed to do the only thing he could do to help at this point. He'd have to be his friend. Mr. Taylor looked up at the masked man, "Well, my boy, I believe a thank you is in order," he said with a jolly smile on his face, "But, I do believe it'd be quite foolish to dawdle here much longer. You wouldn't happen to be so kind as to help an old man reach, well wherever the hell we're supposed to go?" -

Mr. Taylor looked around confused after Phantom tossed him through the portal. It was as if he'd entered a whole new dimension. It seemed lifeless, except for a few random plants. It was almost a beautiful place, well except for the enormous strain it put on his body. The old man looked around wildly for a way out as he felt the strain of the world crushing in on his bones. But, of course there was no escape. Mr. Taylor tried his best to stay on his feet, but the world around him was doing its best to murder him and after he'd been in there for just a short while, he collapsed. Breathing was next to impossible at this point. His bones seemed to be crushing in on him. Every single inch of his body screamed for air. Mr. Taylor knew the feeling all too well. The feeling of dying, it wasn't as if this would be his first time. The elderly archaeologist decided to give himself over to his fate. He stopped fighting and rolled over. But, just before he closed his eyes, the masked man and the girl who'd helped them earlier appeared, seemingly, out of nowhere. Mr. Taylor knew this was his last chance. If the masked man could put him here, perhaps he could pull him out. He reached for his whip and snapped it in the masked man's general direction, hoping that it would catch his eye. -

Character Name: Oarloff Race: Half-Ogre Class: Bard Appearance and Age: Oarloaff is a giant half-ogre, who appears to be around middle-aged for his species. He stands roughly 8'6", has a HUGE belly, and is often dirty and unruly. He never really wears clothes instead wearing tattered rags that just cover the essentials. Despite all of this Oarloff doesn't really look intimidating instead giving off the persona of a huge goofy teddy bear. Personality Overview: Oarloff is commonly known in his village as the biggest idiot in town. Despite being a giant he is a coward and will often try to avoid a fight at all costs. If he were forced into a fight he'd likely use a giant club, just because a weapon like that would require no skills and allow him to easily smash his enemies. His voice is dumb and goofy, however it is enjoyable to be around and always provides a good laugh. Oarloff is also a klutz and often messes up on even the most simple chores. A simpleton at heart Oarloff loves animals and tries to keep as man pets as he can find, caring for them as if they were his on children. If Backstory: Oarloff has been a slave for as long as he can remember. He was found as an infant abandoned outside of his village and was picked up by a villager who decided to take him in. His slavery isn't on horrible terms, his master and the rest of the town for that matter love him, despite his inability to perform manual labor. The reason for the love affair is because of Oarloff's natural ability to create beautiful music from the harp. Often Oarloff is found at an inn or tavern after night, playing and singing (usually a comedic tune in a monotone, yet funny voice) happily for the patrons. ((You know the rest of the backstory Hukuna-senseii. If you need me to resend you it though, just ask.))
