  1. Maximus nodded silently at Esmerelda. It was an intriguing tale, but Maximus could sense disdain and distrust in her voice. He knew the sound all too well from the Drake Vale. Many men knew the tale of his father, how he'd betrayed everyone's trust. He looked back towards the holy grounds a bit of sadness in his eye. "Thank you for sharing your tale," he began trying his best not to let on his own disappointment. "Not every day you threaten a former magistrate," he let out. He hadn't thought of it before when he stood up for the thief in the bar. He'd taken the two for sub-par warriors at best, they were just a bartender and a waitress. But, now the realization had dawned on him, if he had actually fought them, he likely would be severely wounded, if not dead. He turned back to Rodriguez, "So tell me, what do you expect the Sky Slayer to do? The man may be powerful, but if he attacks Azuaqyar in front of all of these people I can't imagine him walking away alive."
  2. I agree with Scizor being the better mascot. Scyther starts out as a bug/flying, then is encased in armor to become a bug/steel type, making Scizor the unique pokemon that represents all of our types.
  3. No worries Flux. But, can Mr. Taylor just pull himself out of there or do I have to wait for Phantom to rescue him?
  4. Not saying it's unfair, just that it is a bummer.
  5. So it looks like we lost our Dragon types for Bug types. What a bummer.
  6. Mr. Taylor scurried to his feet, the best he could and looked over to the masked man. He gave him a slight nod and re positioned himself so that he could easily get his whip around the demon if she charged again.
  7. Well I guess I'll make it unanimous and also vote Kiozo for our leader. Good luck Kiozo and lead us well.
  8. Mr. Taylor quickly dropped to the ground and ripped the whip from behind his back. As his body hit the ground he lashed it directly at Lara's wing.
  9. Emotions flooded through Mr. Taylor as the girl revealed her true form. His gun was empty and his body frail. Still, Mr. Taylor reached for his whip. He knew he couldn't take the beast down, but he wasn't a man to go down peacefully. But, before he could pull out his weapon a thought struck him. "Your mother you say?" he began feeling more confident talking to the demon. "She wouldn't perhaps be in charge of this circle? For you see Minos has asked me to send her a message. He claimed it to be of the utmost importance and that I should report it to no one but her and her alone." While he spoke these words, no lie could be seen in his face.
  10. I'm happy to be on board with you guys. We have 3 great types so let's make the best of them.
  11. Maximus grinned kindly at Esmerelda. He hadn't noticed her beauty in the alley-way or in the restaurant, perhaps due to the stress of those situations. But, now in the open moonlight he couldn't help but notice her. "It would be my honor to hear your tale."
  12. Mr. Taylor smirked at the red head's last statement. If he'd heard that just a few moments ago it might've sent Michael in to a rage. Luckily for her it was the elderly Mr. Taylor that had heard that statement, not the rambunctious Michael. Or was it truly lucky? Did this girl have some knowledge of Mr. Taylor and was merely testing him? Mr. Taylor knew he'd have to be careful. This person is surely an agent of hell and whatever she, or more likely it, said could hardly be trusted. "Well yes my dear, I am quite the knew face," he smiled gently at the girl, "But, I can't say I hope to stay here much longer I'm afraid. If you would be so kind as to point me down to the next level I would be quite appreciative."
  13. Maximus turned to Rodriguez in disbelief. He hadn't seen many people capable of light walking before, and if he had they certainly weren't working at a bar. In fact, Maximus could barely withhold his curiosity any more. He turned to the bartender, "If you don't mind me asking," he began, "How did someone like you end up working at a pub? Surely with your talents you could at least hold a position in the city watch, if not even the Magistrate."
  14. Maximus turned to see where the voice was coming from, quickly noticing Rodriguez and Esmerelda. Upon seeing them a smile quickly grew on his face. "Of course!" he called out to Rodriguez, "And I mean no insult but," he paused, looking at the two of them with a friendly smile on his face, "Can you get up on your own or are do you need assistance?"
  15. Mr. Taylor looked up at Rose, this time establishing full eye contact. He figured he couldn't hide it anymore. "It's quite scary you know. Getting your body hijacked by a younger version of yourself." His looked turned to a very apologetic one, "I'm sorry for trying to kidnap you... I wasn't quite myself, and you well, you remind me of someone I once knew." He turned away trying to crush his memories as a single tear strolled down his face. It was too soon to tell Rose about her, he decided and so he turned back to Rose, deciding full-heartedly to change the subject. "Forgive me, but I don't think I can talk about that just yet..." he started realizing that, that particular statement probably wasn't perfect for changing the subject. "Though the bear," he began, "Isn't it strange that it received the worst sentence possible? Though I must admit it's quite obvious that Minos isn't fantastic at his job, I suppose I got off rather easy for my crimes," he quickly cringed again, realizing he was doing an awful job of changing the subject, "But, still the bear must have it's own conscious. Minos certainly wasn't dull, he saw through the bear's charade." He looked at Rose with stern, yet caring eyes, "But still, my dear be careful I'm not saying the bear is evil, it may be the most kind hearted thing that has ever lived. I'm just saying keep an eye out." With that Mr. Taylor began walking over towards Ethic, Lucian and the greenhouse, fairly certain that the rest of the group would be close behind.
  16. Maximus had been running for quite a while. And with each few steps it seemed as if the streets were becoming more and more packed. In fact, he'd had to slow his run down to a walk due to the sheer number of people lining the streets. But, he could finally see it. The holy grounds. The site where in some short time history would be made. Maximus may not have been too excited when he'd arrived in the city. But, after seeing the sky slayer himself he couldn't help but be excited. He kept walking forward, trying his best to find a good position, but still working to avoid any large groups of people. He didn't want to make the mistake of bringing up the sky slayer. Not tonight. Cithalocism was huge across the continent, but it was different here. It was the only thing that mattered and making the mistake of bringing up the sky slayer, especially on the night of the resurrection, well that would only end up poorly for Maximus. But, there didn't seem to be any spots that he could see from. It was just too packed, in fact Maximus doubted he'd ever seen so many people in his life. And that's when the idea hit him. The roofs of the nearby shops were empty and for an Ekarder such as himself, it wouldn't be too difficult a jump. So Maximus walked back to the edge of the holy lands and jumped up to the roof of the nearest building. He looked back towards the holy grounds, and took a seat. Waiting patiently for the moment of truth to arrive.
  17. Mr. Taylor smiled at Rose, but couldn't make eye contact. To be honest, he was still embarrassed about his attempted kidnap of her, but he knew it'd be best just to speak and try and avoid it. "It was no problem at all my dear." He looked over again at Enya, "She's a beautiful child, wouldn't you say, innocent according to Minos as well." Mr. Taylor paused and looked again at Rose, "But, we'll have to do our best to keep an eye on that bear, wouldn't you say?"
  18. Mr. Taylor couldn't help but smile as he stared down at the whip he'd made when he was 'Michael.' It brought him back to a far more exciting time of his life, a time when he wasn't afraid of anything. There were a lot of mistakes he'd made when he was a younger man, though the time in his life when people knew him as MIchael, his 30's, 40's and 50's, he was fearless and, well pretty awesome. Perhaps he had to act a bit more like Michael to get through this hell hole. He picked the whip up and attached it to his belt, then turned to the little girl and gently picked her up. "Don't worry my dear, I've done this a million times." He said as he carried the girl over to the gap. And it was true, Mr. Taylor had traversed several terrains in his path, while carrying young dames away to safety, swinging across vines was just a part of the routine, something he knew he'd be able to handle even in his advanced age. He grabbed the vine and let his feet go. Careful to grip the rope tightly with one hand, Enya and her bear tightly with the other. And the trip seemed almost effortless, Mr. Taylor jumped off the vine as soon as his feet made ground on the other side. He turned to Enya and gave her a gentle smile. "See nothing to it at all my dear."
  19. Mr. Taylor looked down, ashamed of his former self, or at least certain aspects of him. "I'm Mr. Taylor, don't you worry my dear." He looked ahead towards the bridge, again trying to change the subject. "Though perhaps we shouldn't dawdle on such silly things, I do believe the roof is just that way," he said gesturing at the bridge.
  20. Almost on cue, Mr. Taylor rolled over and slowly opened his eyes. He looked over at the group and suddenly realized what had happened. A feeling of sheer embarrassment rushed over him. He got up slowly and looked around for his cane ... of course it was missing, his younger self didn't think he'd need it. He then sighed and turned to the group, "So, I suppose we should get moving...." he said hoping no one would ask him any questions.
  21. Sad to see you leave this RP Hukuna. It was fun having the sensaii around. Byron and Quincy will be missed.
  22. Clint couldn't help but feel a little ticked off after Pimparella's failed attempt to get itself wrapped around the bird's wings. He started firing his Beretta at the creature's wing, while shouting "Pimparella throw a rock at it, get that thing on the ground!" The Onix obeyed as it reared it's tail around and launched one of the rocks at the end of it's tail directly at the birds chest.
  23. I'm really glad you got everything worked out with Cassidy, Weavile. I'm looking forward to her and Jude's future love/hate relationship ((though right now it seems like it'll mostly be hate.)) Also, I wasn't trying to insinuate that Cassidy was OP or sueish in any way. So I'm sorry if you took it that way. Also, yeah I spitball quite often. Really it's pretty impossible not too early on in an RP. You're still getting to know the character yourself, along with the world the host is building and sometimes, well it's just tough to keep the way you though of the character before the RP to exist in the world the host is making. When I post I just try my best to think of how the character would react to the current situations. Sometimes it may be a little inconsistent, but then again so are people.
  24. I don't think Cassidy could kill Jude. Sure, she could give him the nightmares she does with everyone else, but it would probably just send him into a rage against her. The guy is basically fearless since he's completely given himself up to God. If Cassidy wanted to kill Jude, she'd have to get really creative.
