Under the Hill - First Circle: Judgement
Supernovae replied to Notus's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Mr. Taylor kept moving, slowly inching forward and leaning on his cane. The pain he had experienced after his death was almost completely gone now, but the memory scarred him. Visions kept racing through his mind, Marcus slowly drawing forward with the knife and laying him to waste, but that wasn't all. Other visions of himself in pain seemed to be racing through his head as well, things that he had absolutely no recollection of happening, old friends, colleagues, strangers he'd seen on the street, it didn't matter, his brain just kept inventing ways for him to die. Despite the horrors in his head, Mr. Taylor pushed forward. He believed he had figured out where they were and he had just one conclusion, if he could find the way out, he needed to use it. But, that's where the problem lied, finding a way out, the library was generally the same, each bookshelf was spaced equally apart and had the exact same collection. There were no landmarks, no variations in the floor or ceiling, just the same thing over and over again. To top this off Mr. Taylor couldn't remember the star map in his head anymore after he had died. So, he came up with a plan, after leaving the scene he'd head straight ahead and eventually, he'd reach a wall, then after that, he'd simply follow along the wall until he found a door. It was simple enough and right now it was his only option. That is until he heard some mumbling. It sounded like a few girls talking in the distance, so he started heading that way. He could also make out that they knew he was coming, the one girl noted his direction from them and that it sounded as though it had three legs (he was hoping they were talking about his cane), the other asked how far away he was, and the other responded that she couldn't make it out. He sighed, wishing he didn't feel the need to try and help them, but he knew he did, and he also knew he probably would need there help so he headed in there direction, while shouting. "Hello there! The name's Mr. Taylor I mean you no harm!" He continued forward rounding the bookcase and catching a look at them, there were four of them a boy, two older girls (teens or twenties he thought), and a young girl, no older than 7, Mr. Taylor let out a friendly smile as he slowly approached them, "Now I don't suppose any of you happen to know where the exit is?" -

I think it'd be pretty interesting if after Ethic kills Mr. Taylor's killer, he runs into Mr. Taylor. The guilt someone as righteous as Ethic (or whoever takes out Marcus really) would feel after finding out he killed someone for nothing would be something interesting to play with.- 1735 replies

Character Name: Jude McKelvin (A.K.A. The Right Hand of God) Gender: Male Ability of the character: Intangibility. Jude can pass through walls, let bullets pass through his body, etc. Think more of a suped up Kitty Pride, however while he is in his Intangibility state only HE is intangible so he can't make anybody else intangible. Age: 24 Appearance: Tall, fit, with a scar on his left cheek. He wears a dark cloak and sunglasses to conceal his appearance. Also carries a broad sword that he often has concealed in his cloak. Personality: Jude is of the belief that those that have been given powers have been given gifts from God. He also believes that those who do not have these powers have been deemed weak by God, and as such he believes it is God's will that he cut them down. Background: Jude was just another small town religious boy from Kansas when he first heard about the super-powered humans. He along with the rest of his community branded them as demons and shunned them, that is until one day a car came straight at him, and then passed right through him. After that he fled his town in exile, cursing his existence and living in shame. Then one day a group of military officers were harassing a small group of super-powered humans. Jude saw a nearby medieval store, snuck in grabbed a sword, then slaughtered the military officers. Since then Jude has come to the realization that is he and the others with powers that are truly God's chosen people and he has made his best attempt to murder anyone who speaks out against super-powered people. Jude has murdered senators, church officials, high ranking political officers, just about anyone that speaks out against his people, going so far as to even murder a Governor while he made a speech against super-powered people on national television. Because of his flashy methods he has quickly earned himself a reputation, and is viewed as a high priority fugitive by the military, though the public does not know his true identity and they only know him by what he calls himself, The Right Hand of God. Just let me know if that's a little too much, I didn't know if I would be taking it to far or not, but I definitely want to play as an assassin type who has a bit of Magneto in him. -

Mr. Taylor's body began to twitch. Suddenly the once life-less body had a breath of air in it. He slowly opened his eyes to the scene of a dark red floor ... blood. With the realization to where he was he jumped up and got up quickly. He wondered how was there this much blood on the ground? His head was throbbing, his body ached, in fact he felt as though he was about to die. Despite this feeling he quickly grabbed his cane, which lay nearby and started moving. His bag and hat may have been missing, but looking for them wasn't an option, he didn't know what had happened he just knew he had to move. As Mr. Taylor began walking away, he started thinking back hard to what had happened and began muttering to himself. "I know I'm in this wretched library, and ... and I met those two boys! Yes, that's right, but then we got separated and then, oh good lord, my head is throbbing," Mr. Taylor buckled from the pain, he was incredibly weary, he felt as though his head was about to explode and had an incredibly sharp pain in his spleen. He decided he had moved far enough away from this incident, not far enough to be safe perhaps, but well his body wasn't going to make it any farther. He sat down and tried piecing together what had happened, "Right, so the boys, yes, yes, we escaped from that strange lion, and then I thought I was going mad, when that other boy, god what was his name," Mr. Taylor clutched at his head it was banging harder than a led zeppelin concert now, all Mr. Taylor wanted to do was pass out, but he knew he had to keep pushing, "His name ... it was Marcus, we had a long talk and then..." Mr. Taylor stopped, he couldn't believe what he was about to say. As the realization hit him the pain dispersed, only a sharp pain in his kidney, and a deep frog in his windpipe remained. "Marcus, he ... he killed me," Mr. Taylor leaned back, the memories were flowing back now he had it all figured out, he was about to tell Marcus, but he had suddenly lost his memory when he reversed time. "Wait, that's right, I reversed time ... how did I do that?" he thought again remembering all of the other acts of magic he had witnessed throughout his journey. But, before he lost himself in trying to figure out where the magic came from he regained his composure. He grabbed his cane and got up, the pain in his kidney and throat were still there, but they were bearable now, only causing a minor annoyance. He could worry about that later though, as for right now Mr. Taylor had one concern, he had to find his way out of here without dying ... again. -

Clint yelled out a booming "Sir, yes, Sir!" as he was told to release his GAO's. Clint had grown a lot in the last six months through training, the effects of the military and his group were starting to change him. His attitude was far less abrassive, his street talk was almost non-existent at this point, and his work ethic was much stronger than it had been when he first entered the group. Clint had done very well in fire-arms and hand to hand combat training, and was a surprising star in the leadership training classes, and despite not doing as well as any of the others, his effort was tangible. Clint had matured a lot, learning to funnel his aggression into training his partners. As he called out Rocky and Pimparella a huge grin appeared on his face, despite not going through metamorphisis yet he was still incredibly proud of the two. Pimparella had it's weaknesses, which he learned were water and grass at this point, while Rocky didn't quite like flying or psychic types. However, despite that, the two had exceled in there training. Pimparella was still viewed as one of the top GAO's given out, despite being incapable of taking down a water pokemon yet, and Rocky was one of the hardest-working, something that had inspired Clint, even when he felt like giving up. As the two appeared they looked back at their trainer with great respect, the relationship between Clint and his GAO's wasn't one of master and servant, but instead the group viewed each other like family. Clint cared greatly for his partners, and was even open to learning from the two.

Supernovae replied to Sutoratosu's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Alright so you have on a previous page you post that Onix is level 11 after the fight with Sid, since then Pimparella defeated Nathan's Charmander, at probably a low intensity fight making it currently level 12 or 22 after the time jump. For Tyrogue, the battle against Nathan's Bagon was pretty intense, so I'd say that's a plus 3. It also helped out in the fight against Sid, though wasn't as effective as Onix, so I'll say +1, bringing him up to level 9 currently or 19 after the jump.- 1189 replies

Supernovae replied to Notus's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
I can't say that isn't entirely true, though I don't think Mr. Taylor acted out of character at all. At first he thought he was losing it, because well wouldn't you if you were really old and kept seeing everyone performing magic, plus I thought the RP needed a non-believer somewhere since everyone else just immediately accepted there roles. Then after the amnesia he gets called crazy, by a guy who asks him if he heard the voices too, so there was little reason for Mr. Taylor to stick around and be super nice, since he should have been confused and creeped out at the same time. All in all while I did try to help out your character development, I don't think I ever really broke my character for you to achieve the goal.- 1735 replies

Under the Hill - First Circle: Judgement
Supernovae replied to Notus's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Mr. Taylor screamed in agony as the knife penetrated his skin, right near his kidney. He felt as though his insides had stopped, the blood in his body had only one direction now and that was out. He collapsed to the ground, defeated and begged out "Please, Marcus don't!" But, his pleas weren't heard as the knife cut through his windpipe. It may have taken a few seconds, but Mr. Taylor went cold, his body limp. -

Mr. Taylor stared blankly at Marcus, though the statements did sound a bit like things he might say and he did have his bag and straw hat with him, things he only brought when he was on an archeological dig, his confidence was shaken by the comment about hearing voices. "My dear boy, I can honestly say I don't recall any of those things, I am a bit old, and my memory is a bit shaky at times, so I'll believe you when you say I said them." Mr. Taylor grabbed his cane, flung on his hat and picked up his bag, "However, I have never, in my 70 odd years on this planet, heard any voice in my head that did not belong to myself, so I don't know what to tell you, perhaps any arrangement we may have had, should end now." With that Mr. Taylor tipped his hat to Marcus and turned around to search for a way out, "Good day, lad." -

"I'm Marcus, as I told you before, and we're in the same place we were a moment ago. Perhaps you were correct, and you are going insane, in which case I may have to leave." "Now, you said you also heard that voice?" Mr. Taylor gave Marcus a confused look, as far as Mr. Taylor could tell a moment ago he was in his living room watching TV, and now he was in some library. Was he really going insane though? It didn't seem real, was this a dream? In his own recollection this is the only thing that seemed out of place, without witnessing the magic he had seen earlier Mr. Taylor had no honest reason to think he was going insane, so he took offense to Marcus's comment. "Look, Marcus I don't know who you are and who told you I think I'm insane, but I'm not. So, please by all means lad, go ahead and leave, I can drive myself home. And to answer your question, no I haven't heard any voices, though if you are hearing voices my dear boy, then perhaps you are the one going insane." -

Under the Hill - First Circle: Judgement
Supernovae replied to Notus's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
"I can't remember seeing anything like that. Speaking of remembering things, however, do you recall hearing a booming voice earlier? Something about being judged?" "Why, yes I do," Mr. Taylor said, "But, it all makes sense when I walked in to this place I saw an encryption that had a very biblical reference on it, and I believe it's become obvious of where we are, the judgement, the cryptic message, Nathan my dear boy we-." Before he could finish his thought Mr. Taylor was tackled to the floor by a shadow creature. Mr. Taylor struggled with the creature, while reaching for his gun. "Nathan, get out of here, don't injure yourself to save an old man!" he yelled, while pulling out his pistol and aiming it at the creature who had been to preoccupied at clawing at his face. Mr. Taylor then fired the bullet at the creature, but to no effect, the bullet just phased through the creature. "Damn it, if only there were some way out of this!" with that Mr. Taylor's hand started to glow a dark green. Mr. Taylor was shocked at this revelation, was he also capable of the magic he'd seen everyone else perform? While, he was postulating this he looked around and it seemed as if time itself had stopped. The room was grey and motionless and the monster itself also shined with the dark green aura. Mr. Taylor focused on the creature and as though time itself was being mended the creature moved backwards through time, slashing his face in reverse which healed all of the scars inflicted upon him. Then the creature got back up and flew backwards into a book, along with as Mr. Taylor noted all of the other shadow creatures that had appeared from the same bookshelf. As the creatures disappeared, the books then rose through the air and the bookshelf seemingly rebuilt itself, completely unscathed. Mr. Taylor let out a huge sigh, the room regained it's color and the dark green color surrounding Mr. Taylor vanished. Mr. Taylor then looked up at Nathan with a look of total confusion. "Who are you my dear boy? And where are we?" -

I like both of those ideas a lot guys and I think I've gotten them integrated into some form. With that I'll try one more time, thanks for the ideas! Ability: 'The Good Old Days': Mr. Taylor can return objects to a previous state of being, including some monsters/foes. (The ability can also be used as a way of healing partners/himself if workable). However in order for the ability to work Mr. Taylor must be able to visually see, that which he is restoring and have seen it in that previous state. As for the cost, each time Mr. Taylor uses this ability he loses some bit of his memory for a period of time. The amount of memory loss and the amount of recovery time will vary based on the extent to which he uses his ability (healing someone from a near-death state could cause total memory relapse for a long period of time, while closing a book that contains a shadow monster may make him forget someone's name for a few minutes.)- 1735 replies

Hmmm. Well does anyone have any ideas on how to beef it up to the same level as everyone else without making it broken? The way I'm thinking of it though, he can say move one of the bookshelves back in time and restore it back to its original state, which would remove all of the shadow monsters that emerged from those books. Admittedly it wouldn't be the best fighting ability, but it would be a good strategy move and could also provide invaluable support to the group.- 1735 replies

Supernovae replied to Notus's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
I've been thinking and if it's alright with everyone else I'd like to change Mr. Taylor's ability since he hasn't used it yet and invulnerability is kind of lame on an old man. New Ability: 'Back in the Good Old Days': Mr. Taylor can rewind time by holding his breath, though this ability will take a long time for Mr. Taylor to pull off and just far back he goes. For example Mr. Taylor can not rewind a bullet from going back in time, unless he knew it was already coming. Also, Mr. Taylor will have to be able to focus for a good period of time before using the ability, without being touched at all, any interruption, physical or mental will stop his power from working. Also Mr. Taylor can only move things back in time for as long as he holds his breath (if he is interrupted the whole thing won't work, and everything in the vicinity will move as far back as he holds his breath for.)- 1735 replies
