Under the Hill - Third Circle: Gluttony
Supernovae replied to Notus's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Mr. Taylor turned to Phantom, "Aye lad, but I'm not sure if leaving is the right move just yet." He looked around the room, still in deep though. "We've been in here quite a while, haven't we Phantom? Yet, I can't shake the feeling that the end to this level is near. Remember last level? The exit was guarded by the strongest succubi that hell could throw at us, yell at least that the second level could. But, now we've seen that giant get bossed around. No, whatever it was that ordered that giant that locked us in here, that must be the end boss to this realm. You say you think something is coming Enya? Let it come. This is hell isn't it? We won't avoid bad things forever down here. We need to stand up to whatever's coming this way and we need to take whatever information from it that we can." -
"Oh, Miss Helzebeff, that's just silly. Even mean peoples can be nice sometimes, they just has some bad days sometimes. Or other times they always has bad days. That's why me always does me best to be nice. Because sometimes, even the meeeeeanest of meanies can become nice guys. Isn't me right Misturr Buttons?"

The Awakened - First Pillar (IC Thread)

Jude walked toward the building as the car sped away. It was a strange building, no windows, made entirely of concrete. But, one thing caught his eye. He could see a small gray camera that was destroyed by some blast along with a caved in door. "Strange," he muttered to himself. As he turned and stepped forward through the doorway. -
"Oh, no, no, no Misturr Buttons!" the Ogre called out, clearly scared of what was happening, "Please don't hurt Misturr Sigwurd he isn't a mean man, he just likes to be funny! Oh please Misturr Buttons don't be a mean goatie, he didn't mean it me promise!"

Oarloff wobbled over to the group and shrugged at Helzebeth. "That's silly Miss Helzebeth, Misturr Buttons isn't tricksy like that, he's a very, very nice goatie."

Oarloff gasped. "But, but you is not misturr buttons. You is a person and Misturr Buttons is a goatie." Oarloff paused, realizing the man sounded just as the goat had. "Oh ho ho ho ho! You is very, very funny Misturr Buttons. Me gets it, you can change shapes, so instead of looking like an adorable goatie, you pretends to be a man. Probably so you can buy foods and stuff, very clever Misturr Buttons." The look on Oarloff's face was almost absurdly cheerful. For whatever reason, Oarloff just seemed to love talking to Mr. Buttons. "These peoples are looking for, ummm..." The ogre began to snap his fingers, trying to remember it was that his friends wanted to know about, "Oh, it's a shard or something?!?! Oh, no me was just so, so excited to see you that me had forgotten what me wanted to ask, oh silly me."

Suddenly a promise jumped back into the ogre's mind, a promise made to his father. The ogre's enthusiastic behavior suddenly became timid, "Umm... Papa said that me had to be on me best behaviors. Me doesn't want to disserpoint hims..." The ogre paused, realizing he began rubbing his tummy as he often did when he was faced with a moral dilemma. "Well, maybe Misturr Buttons can help them? Plus, this man looks very, very smart he wouldn't ask me to call Misturr Buttons unless he knows it will be smart." Oarloff sat in deep contemplation for quite some time, continuously rubbing his stomach, only pausing to make a strange grunting sound from time to time. Without warning the ogre had made his decision, he jumped from his chair, nearly knocking the table over, and pointed a finger in the air. "Okay, me will do it." The ogre pulled the ribbon from under his belly and held it in his hand. "OOOOOOH MISTURRR BUTTONS. MISSSSSSSSTUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRR BUUUUUUUUUUUUUTTONS. PLEASE COME HELP USSS MISTUR BUTTONS!"

Oarloff smiled sheepishly at the man, "His name is misturr buttons! He's a magical goat," Oarloff stopped, the ogre may not be the sharpest bulb in the bunch, but even he knew that goats didn't talk, "Oh and he gave me magical powers last night, he said he was very, very happy that me saved him. Oh, you should have seen him talk Misturr Marcus he was just the nicest goatie that me had ever met. And look Misturr buttons gave me this as well," Oarloff lifted his hand to show the silver tree off. "He also tolded me that me can ask him help whenever me needs to! Oh, he was just so smart, definitely the smartest goatie that me had ever met, he MUST know where the shard is!"

I don't think Oarloff is really smart enough to consider any possible consequences of summoning Mr. Buttons in the middle of the chamber. Oarloff thinks of the world in a very black and white manner, Mr. Buttons was nice to him, so he's a good guy. It's possible that he'll summon him, but I'm more or less trying to bait someone in the order (likely someone capable of reading the guy's mind) into asking about him. Oarloff's curiosity about Mr. Buttons is more or less a play by me to figure out more about him. ((Hopefully this plan doesn't backfire because I just told you.))

Oarloff had tried to pay attention. Really, he tried his best. But, he still couldn't keep his mind off of his encounter with Mr. Buttons. He wanted to ask the council about him, but papa had told him to be on his bestest behavior and that's what he had to do, he couldn't disappoint him again. When he came back in to the conversation after his daydreams about what new abilities he had he couldn't' help but here that the group was looking for some missing shard. It caused him to think back to last night again. He decided it was too important, he had to tell them about Mr. Buttons. "Umm..." he started unsure of how to talk to the council, "Me thinks me knows someone who knows where the shards is... Should me ask him?"

Clint cursed under his breath. His strongest GAO had been taken out with one attack. He pulled out Pimparella's container and called her back. He knew he couldn't waste much time. The cadet looked down at Rocky and nodded to it, signaling that it was time to take cover. Without any hesitation, Rocky and Clint got down and started making their way to Jory's lizard-like GAO, using the seeds it was shooting out as cover.

"ABOVE YOU, GUYS!" Clint quickly looked up and saw what Kenny must have been talking about. It seemed to be raining stones. "Shit," Clint mumbled under his breath as he and Rocky jumped off of Pimparella. Without a command the Onix placed itself in front of the incoming stones and her master, ready to take the attack dead on.

Maximus nodded at the bard. He quickly climbed out of the hole and started to push the dirt that had built up form him digging.

Maximus wanted to jump down and have a look. Oh, he wanted to go down there and see whatever it was that was making that noise. But, something inside of him said to hold off. Perhaps it was the smell of death and decay emanating from the opened hatch or perhaps it was the fact that he'd seen more than enough death for one day. Whatever it was that told him to close the hatch though was strong enough to make him listen. The Ekarder slowly closed the hatch he'd just opened, careful to make as little noise as possible, then stood atop the hatch. He looked up to Matrim who had apparently also heard the sound. "Get something heavy bard. We have to lock this thing in."

Oarloff was a bit taken back by the warrior's question. He'd been a nice man at the bar, though so Oarloff decided to tell him. "Umm, papa says me has to be on my bestest behaviors, so me is tryin to not break anything or ruin yours plans."

Oarloff had kept his eyes on the ground since he'd gotten to the Raven's Spiral. It was obvious to anyone near him that he was nervous. He had been told by his father to be on his best behavior and so, just like a child who takes everything too literally, he had decided to not talk to anyone around. Then he saw the man they had come to talk too. He wanted to ask him about the night before so bad. Poor Oarloff was just an ogre with too many questions and no answers. Who was Mr. Buttons? What magic could Oarloff use now? It bothered the ogre, but Oarloff kept himself quiet and continued to stare at the floor.

Under the Hill - Third Circle: Gluttony
Supernovae replied to Notus's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
The old man scratched his head. "I believe I heard the giant close that door," Mr. Taylor started. "But, I'm not quite sure that it matters my dear boy. If we can't open either door..." -
Maximus looked around bewildered. He'd dug the hole quite deep, but the Earth shouldn't be able to break his shovel here. He bent down and began digging, trying to uncover what it was that broke his shovel.

Before Clint could react to Jory a massive tail swung down in front of him. His Onix roared as it took an onslaught of bullets for her master. Dirt and stone flew off of her tail, but she was hardly fazed. She faced the direction that the bullets hailed from and roared. Clint couldn't help but smirk, his strongest partner was rising to the occasion once again, just as she had done against the giant ice bird. He charged forward and grabbed onto her back, while his Hitmontop followed suit. "Let's get this party started!" The giant snake took no time to comprehend her master's orders. Instead she began pushing forward through the gunfire, each bullet tearing off tiny chunks of her rocky exterior as she began to pick up speed, heading straight toward the nearest spot where she saw the gun fire coming from.

Clint looked over at the female officer and Kenny in disbelief. "You guys have got to be kiddiin' me. Can't you suckas see we're under attack here?!?! It's obviously a set up anyway, no way a little fox GAO could cause that kind of damage that fast. My bet's that the psychic thing did it to try and protect itself."

Clint nodded at Nathan, seeing as Erick had already vanished. "Alright, just give me the signal and I'll charge it from here." He reached for his capsules and summoned his Onix and Hitmontop.

"Come on man! You said, you wanted to battle! Now I know Pimparella is scary and all, but you can't run off before the battle even starts!" Clint jokingly yelled at Kenny as he tried to run after the cadet and his GAO.

Maximus couldn't help but grin at Cesealia and Eric. Finally, someone was making sense around here. The Ekarder wiped some of the loose blood off of his hands to reveal the newly written scars and looked at them. It was a rash decision. Maximus knew he should have waited for someone else to intervene. However, he'd been rattled by the contents of the situation at hand. He knew he had to have some way to not end up like those Nix creatures. At least a small reminder would help him keep sanity. The Ekarder went back over and picked up the shovel he had flung at the first creature he had seen and quietly made his way back into the hole he'd dug. Then he got back to his work, this time in a much calmer state.

Maximus sighed. The highway-man was quite the talented musician, but that still didn't change facts. Rodriguez was dead, most of the more experienced warriors that were with them were captured, and the boy that was supposed to save the world was a power-hungry coward, who fancied himself a messiah. Still, whining wouldn't help him or his group achieve their goals and as long as Maximus could think that Aaron was an ass, he knew he wasn't under his control. The Ekarder remained silent as he flung his Drake Lance over his back. He looked around at the red eyes staring at their group. It was truly a horrifying predicament to have those things on 'their side.' Maximus wish they had ran. Or died fighting the beasts. But, to have those creatures gleefully looking at him as if they were suddenly his allies. It was infuriating. Maximus took a small pocket knife out and pointed it at his hand. He knew he couldn't let what had happened to them, happen to himself. Whatever it took, Maximus would be a free man. He stabbed the knife into the back of his hand. The process didn't take long and their was little blood spilled. But, when he was finished he had carved the words, "Live Free. Rodriguez." into the back of his hands.
