the thing with RSE is that I can just about snap my fingers and start hearing the route 204 music in my head
used to be I could do that with the champion music too
for pure memorability in BW2 my favorite was the gym music once you'd beaten elsa (elesa?) but mostly I loved the way each gym had its own music and its own space, really, instead of everything following the strict 2d space divided into rooms. like look at burgh's in BW vs BW2--press-the-buttons vs. "let's see where this tunnel goes" like the whole that was animated was lovely.

I honestly love 4th gen, and it was the gen I started in. Also to tell you the truth, a lot of people would say Platinum is the best pokemon game, and I def believe it's up there, but not sure about being the best. Another thing, gen 4 was easily the best competitively. There weren't really any pokemon that ran rampant that also couldn't be checked. It was the most balanced and was really offensive. Gen 7 is kinda looking to be like gen 4 in that regard. (not that balanced tho, rip) Gen 4 was just barely my second favorite generation behind gen 5, but Sun and Moon took that place. Man, those games are really well made. Still boggles my mind that they actually removed hms in a main series pokemon game. Also gen 4 brought wifi and physical crunch, nuff said
