Hello All, this is my rock mono-run. If you're interested tune in and enjoy. If not, well all three of you can figure out why that is. Without further adieu. Spelled it right without auto-correct. Ballin. Howdy folks, names Johnny Stone and here is a story all about how I ended up in Reborn now... My rents sent me off (I call my mom and dad my rents if you didn't know) so my rents sent me off to a wonderful little small village called Reborn. This lady meets me at the train station to escort me around the city and give me my first pokeman. Dad says I should stop calling them that. Everything is going great when BAM! This Ame (that's ahhhh mehhh) bumps me on the shoulder because I fell asleep while she was teaching me how to walk in a different city. Then a cool explosion happened, never been in one before so that was fun. As I'm wiping the fire off of my melting skin the police are casually talking about how shizz just went down without seeing if I'm okay. (Reborn isn't known for taking care of people). Ame says (that's ahhh mehhh in case you forgot) that this lady who just happens to love explosions is going to escort me. S'cool I love terrorist suspects. She leaves me with a dangerous lunatic and I begin walking down the street. The water's actually darker than I am which is a little concerning but I like my drinks that put hair on your chest. I talk to the town folks, meet some trainers I'm gonna be better than five seconds after getting my first pokeman and walk into the only building that isn't crumbling. I see this karate chick (that's bad since I like rock types) and she introduces herself as Victoria. I'm like whaddup girl, she like stop frontin' and she takes me to Ame. (don't make me remind you of how its said) Ame is like you can pick a pokemon and I say "Hey so... my dad would actually kill the both of us if I walked around with anything besides a rock type" She says I know someone who can help. Wow. She walks away calls some dude and says what would you like? "Do me a solid, defy god and science and bring back to life a fossil" She looks at me for a few moments... weird, and walks away. Comes back, throws a pokeball at me and says Here's an Archen, don't kill it. Thanks, says Johnny Stone. But... "But" says the disgruntled lady, But I need more than one since ya know... This is a poisoned horrid wasteland, not a mountain or desert. She walks away and says this guy named Hardy wants to know who I am. I tell her Fern, because I hate plants and ferns most of all. Dumb name I know but she smiles (creepily) and comes back with Tirgouga. I got my mons and start to walk away after saying thanks. She says Good luck and throws me a dex.(that's street talk for pokedex) Vicky wants to battle, smack her around then I meet the funniest person ever. Purple haired goon named Cain. I'm like you a citizen? He says that isn't funny anymore and we battle. We shoot the shizz and he says "be seeing ya bruh" (he didn't say that) He called me cute, I'm not into men but that doesn't make him wrong about what he said. I walk outside and I see a new horizon and new world to explore. I must be in Motown because a rolling stone has arrived. Team Rolling Stones Alright ya hooligans want the team, well you got the team. Archen.... Avalanche-Jolly as shizz (Defeatist cause he loves toes)-Wing attack, rock throw, quick attack and leer... Quick note. This is my bro, my partner, the 4th quarter team. For all intents and purposes Archen is the only one who will understand Johnny Stone and vice versa. Terrible IVs and fragile as hell but. Aren't we all... Tirtouga... Softy- Relaxed and mellow.(Swift swim because rocks swim fast duh)- Bide, withdraw, bite, Rollout. She's tough as nails hence the name. She aint fast, makes grass types feel special (no pun intnded for once) and isn't all that tough but fossils are my thing. Future goons.... Tyraniturd and the t-rex guy. If you enjoyed this let me know and I'll keep it up. Truth be told I actually had adventures around town and for some reason though F12 took pictures.... Please refrain from dumb as a rock comments as I am quite fragile. Till next time y'all!

I honestly considered making Larvitar magically appear since sandstorm will be my saving grace but its a mono run, its supposed to be difficult and psuedos don't make it difficult. Save reason I didn't want tyrunt the unnatural way. Although I'd have liked to have them soon since kiki will be horrible. If there was a good shell smasher around then fighting kiki wouldn't be impossible just difficult. Shell smash pass to archen and let the day be done.
-
i got archen and tirtouga in with help. As for kiki, my game plan is to hit her pokemon until they die. Bold strategy I know but I can figure it out.
-
I would get Onix in on the action but yeah evolving into a steel and ground means I'd have to ditch the subpar mon at some point. Bonsly would also be a temporary since Sudowudo is pretty bad. The best rocks are fossils.

Hello all. As some of you well know, none of the starters as of ORAS have rock typing so this mono is off to a powerful start. If someone doesn't mind assisting in this matter they can have whatever I get from Ame. I'll even soft reset for a shiny w/e if you want. Message me or comment here. For everyone else who just happened to click. Let me know and I can broadcast how this run goes. I'll even do one of those cool story-esq things the kids are raving about because who doesn't like to hear about people playing video games. amiright?

If you're looking for an episode list, someone made a post a WHILE back, trying to collect the names and (possible files) of all the episodes. Not sure how far that one went since it was sometime ago.
-
If you did the aqua gang sidequest, you can get murkrow which is a strong and fast flying type on windy days in aqua hideout. You can also get numel in front of the train station during the rain. a slow but good fire type that can set fire to the forest. doing massive damage to her team each turn.
-
get a mon with teleport and use that to get to gym while riding tauros. See if that works? Also I know beldum was changed in some way since everyone and their mother memorized the old way.
-
Does anybody else ditch their starter in these games?
Damage replied to TheGamedawg's topic in Pokémon Fan Club
Boxing your starter? Do you also abandon puppies at the riverbed? -
Axed in 12. Most bets lead to Karp and I've heard 16 but I've heard a lot of things. My bet is post Hardy he'll come back since its a very powerful mon as far as this game is concerned.
-
I figured it'd be too easy. Rock is hard because a lot of good rock types have 4x weakness but get sturdy. Normal is tough because stab doesn't do well against Steel, rock and ghost. Also both have the challenge of two fighting gyms which isn't fun and late game Amaria would wreck rocks 9 ways to sunday.
-
There are a lot of great poison types and not too many checks considering most enemies don't have psychic types. Normal seems to be winning this debate but man does rock seem tough to pull off. I think I'll make that decision by the end of today but so far Normal is looking good.
-
Awesome idea, I had briefly considered it until I realized waiting three gyms and then being at a crossroads for a couple days would be too much for me. One though occurs. Since more than half the list is duo types which would you pick for the mono. Up to the player or you have to go with the main type?
-
I haven't considered water since even though early game leaves you high and dry with pokes like marsh and azumarill as your only viable options. Since karp (god of all fish) got himself axed. Flying, I'm not much of a fan. Ghost ice and dragon are almost impossible without altering the game. Aren't rock types known for their stellar defense?

So here I am again wanting to do the ever so fun mono run in reborn. Fighting mono was incredibly easy when you have, well fighting types unfair amount of advantages. Fire mono is almost complete, hardest fight so far was Charlotte requiring 3 attempts. I didn't want Blaziken to setup and run it since that's no fun. For my next trick I'm curious what people think is a difficult go. I'm not ready for a bug mono yet... I'm thinking Normal mono since there is little in the way of advantages or Rock mono which could be super fun and challenging since the only speedster is Archeops with his kickass ability. (too bad truant was put on him amiright?) So peeps, what should I roll with?

Is there a pokemon fangame that has broken the 'rule of six'?
Damage replied to WavesBlade's topic in Pokémon Fan Club
There's a pokemon game that was a total gamechanger on the playstation its called Digimon. Pretty different from standard games. (seriously though) there is a game called Pokemon Godra which is like if Zelda, Minecraft and pokemon had a baby. -
I dont think I'm alone in the idea that a mega shouldn't change the pokemon from being what the type is supposed to be. I heard Noel's case was actually voted on by the forum. I understand Seel's case since if the forum voted on it, it wouldn't have been as awesome a surprise (or agonizing to my fighting mono) but I think it takes something away from the whole gym setup to see leaders of all people deter from the path that makes them, them. As for the item thing, I guess revives and what not can pull you away but considering the player can switch and plan for an entire team. While the leader is always stuck with the same six, they need some advantage after the badge halfway mark. Like being able to switch one or two mons. You planned to fight sharpedo well, Amaria switched and this rematch you have to fight slowking. Anyting to give the leaders just one advantage since field effects while powerful can always be beaten in some way.
-
Maybe there wont be megas but things that would make leaders more like the player. Imagine seeing the ace come out first then again because the leader suddenly gained access to a revive. That would be fair since the player has an immeasurable amount of advantages.
-
I don't know how we can gauge that since we've only seen one leader with a mega. And the mega in question wasn't a flying type and doesn't really add to Ciel's must be pretty personality like another flying mega would have. Like Pidgeot.
-
Mega-Scizor was good but besides Corey, no leader has had a pokemon with a 4x weakness on their team. I'm not too sure about Saphira considering neither of those are dragons prior to mega, which is a lenience only given to Noel according to the forum. I just hope it isn't Garchomp since this would be the third boss that has one.
-
So after facing Seel and her ace,its come to thought that the remaining challenges will probably have megas and we wont get something to combat it until the last one or E4. With that in mind and how gyms are built to give the leaders their edge, who are you dreading? MegaSalamance from Saphira in a windy gym or MegaSlowbro from Amaria stalling you forever? Hell maybe Mega-Aerodactyl and the inability to ever hit it.
-
Yeah I noticed that. I've never made it to Vanahan without joining a gang. Wish I did but I needed Ponyta for the mono-run. I'm curious what she says if you don't join a gang.
-
So E15 brought about a bunch of new content, after a playthrough, if you've done enough before you'll notice new dialogue in some fun spots that add more to what's actually happening. I'm at Noel's battle and since I have a fire mono obviously the field is going up in flames. After the match, everyone mocks how I set the field on fire to win and Noel even says "Nomos says scorched earth doesn't affect the overworld, whatever that means". Has anyone else found anything funny or interesting.
