  1. Everything's pretty much being said already, so this is kind of a recap at this point: -Sturdy -Parahax -Freezehax -Sleephax -Attract hax -Poison point, Poison touch, Flame Body, Static, Effect Spore, Shed Skin, Healer, Cute charm and any other chance ability. Always wrokin' for the AI, never for me. -Any move with an accuracy lower than 100%. They'll always miss in the decisive blow, with the lower the accuracy the proportionally higher this salty consequence is met over time. -Any move with a chance to inflict a secondary effect. Scald and company hate me. -Critical hit AND freeze. That shouldn't exist. -Moody pokemon. When you battle them it is a nightmare, when you use them it is a mess. -Serene grace iron head and whatever move togekiss had. -Sturdy. -Cosmic power sigilyph and poison heal Gliscor. -Unfair gym leader mons, like the mentioned double team raichu, or the infamous rollout miltank. -Speaking of which, accuracy and evasion moves. Gosh are they evil. -HMs. Generally weak and useless outside of opening the path to the next city. Fangames have made strategies SO great to deal with these without needing HMs. -Detect and protect on wild mons. -Double protect. If I never get it, why would you? -Shadow tag. And wobbufet. It shouldn't be a wild pokemon, period.
  2. In between my genetic problems, there's one about pokémon: it features a Vibrava, about which is said the color of its antennas depends of 3 unrelated genes. 2 Vibrava's are made to reproduce in order to analyse the outcome. My faith in genetic teachers has been restored.

If our professor would have given such a question in college, he would be a favourite amongst the entire university :P

I do, but the fact that I appear as offline and private and that I thought you were a different user makes it seem like I don't go there at all, which isn't true.

  4. That's indeed true. And gourgeist specially, is the first grass type that learns fire type moves (that I'm aware of). Sadly its special attack sucks and it only ever uses flame charge, if at all. Seedstink's evolution is not quite like gourgeist, but some of the fire moves they learn match, actually. Also, unrelated, is that Oreon? goddamn I want to pet (and eat) that thing <3
  5. That feel when you come up with a fakemon name you like for some reason, yet you have no idea what type or kind of mon it could be, cuz you only got the name.

Indigoon. Dunno I just like how the name sounds for whatever reason, but no idea if make it a raccoon, or another thing. And what the hell about the indigo part? a poison type? a poison raccoon? dunno.

The opposite also happened lol. I have a narwhale pokemon but no idea what to call it.

    3. Etesian

      Etesian

First thing that name makes me think of is a blue Zigzagoon lol

  6. Curse it as in, the ghost kind of curse?
  7. Meh I kinda preffered for them not to get overhyped for a grass/fire mon with this one. I mean I can already imagine the "yo this thing didn't evolve into grass/fire man what the heck" comments lol. Sorry for ruining your facade tho xD
  8. Seedstink is actually a poison/grass type. Yes, I know it's the same, but I always wanted a grass/poison with poison as first type. Its evolution keeps the typing in that exact same order, so despite learning some fire type moves, it didn't justify enough for getting a STAB on it. Sorry fire/grass hype. The line is some kind of...."rendition" I always wanted to make to the Oddish line, which is my fav grass line. As Nova pointed out, the line is based on a group of plants called "corpse flowers" (not their actual scientific name), giant flowers that emit a putrid, corpse-like smell to attract insects and keep everything else away. You know how Vileplume is a rafflesia, that red giant flower? well this is kinda the same gimmick but with another group of plants.
  9. Does a living candy machine apply better for a pure ghost typing or a ghost/rock typing? I mean, jaw breakers and other candy related puns...

I should think a candy machine would be ghost/steel or ghost/electric

Zim you usually send me all kinds of messages on your stuff like this... hell we still have an outsiding fakemon message XD.

    4. zimvader42

      zimvader42

Yeah but I don't really have definitive stats yet, that's why I haven't sent you anything xD. Well, that and the fact my computer is having internet problems and I'm on my phone.

  10. Hi, I'm Finally Back! but you can call me just Back!

Yeee, didn't want to fall into oblivion~

      xD

  11. Swoobat line. Simple calm mind and then use any attacking move. Win. Too bad swoobat is too fragile to pull it off against sturdy mons (specially dark and steel types) and most living opponents. Still, AIs are dumb and you can get a lot of fun from this cute bat. Lines already mentioned here do it for me as well. Garbodor, Klinklang, Linoone (belly drum extreme speed can actually kick ass), all are good in my book.
  12. Australia has watee, but not THAT much so that you need a boat to get to all cities.. That applies to the nation of Graterras.
  13. We have talked since the beginning that we wanted only the fakemon from the start up to the final E4 and champion battles, but that maybe we could include canon mons in the post game (beyond eevee and ditto, that is). I specially have an interest on including aquatic mons, since real life Australian waters are rich on that stuff, but as you might guess, being at ep 1 still, the least of our concerns is discussing about canon mons now xD
  14. I've been reminded of the gift of life and my love for dogs.

Yes, turboAura. Puppies have reminded me how much I love them and how beautiful life can be.

And dog is actually god backwards holy shit

      Raindrop Valkyrie

Yea, I like dogs too... hence my trainer card in my sig. Al Dog Mons are prety much in my top favs of pokemon lol

  15. The bold letters so much, that's exactly why I (at least) hate trades. I'm not precisely a social guy, and even out of my few friends, just two play pokemon. None owns a portable nintendo device, they play hackROMs in their phones. But the focus of my hate for trades is Gourgeist. I love the pumpkin, is my favorite pokemon. Is the halloween mon. Then why on hell doesn't it evolve at level 31? why a trade? trevenant, gengar and alakazam are similar examples. Heck I even know people who played pokemon as childs and never knew that gengar evolves from haunter, or how to.
  16. Hmm, well I maybe exaggerated (after all, mega ray quay quay is still mega ray quay quay), but scary as hell, indeed. Imagine you know who with 100 extra points in stats and an even better ability....it would be madness. Or that other one, with sheer force, and given its movepool, yeah, you remember, as you were the first to oppose it xD. And the other guy with that one typing, with more defense... taking it down would be impossible. MADNESS.
  17. Yep, this is correct. Is one of the few things Tomas and I agreed from the start: first, no trade evolutions as we both hate those, and second, no megas, as he hates what the concept has become and as I fear 100 extra points in stats might have made some of these mons broken beyond any mean, plus having to design megas is something I never really got much into. I made one for Ivorip (the rabbit thing), with higher attack, defense and speed and the ghost/dark type, but tbh it wasvalways kinda meh. I promise you that if we gave megas to some of our strongest mons, they'd ve more broken than mega ray quay or mega gengar. Like, eeeeasy
  18. So new announcement coming in a span of 1/3 more days huh? cool
  19. Oh so it's like the "friend vs. best friend" thing, I see. Going on topic again, can someone tell me how many days have passed since the last announcement?
  20. Oh I see. I knew the expression could be used with neutral or even positive meanings but after hearing it being used for bad so many times you end up getting confused when you hear it in a context like this lol As for it not being dark well that's actually pretty true as far as the part of the story I know goes, if we compare it to games like Reborn. The story itself is also much simpler IMO, which I guess is why it doesn't open up to be a game with a dark atmosphere. It is supposed to be challenging tho. Nova did say he wanted gym battles to be challenging and I agree with that (otherwise gym leaders become just road blocks). I think the biggest "challenge" might be the fakemon themselves, as I've experienced in my ethereal gates playtrough, battles become harder by the mere fact of not knowing the mons' stats and typings.
  21. The black sheep of the game ideas? isn't black sheep usually a term with bad connotations? what does black sheep mean when talking about games of this nature? o.o
