  1. Ugh, just your everyday Tomas Elliot trying to be a troll XD. He can't handle the fact that Colourva's final form will be as useless as dustox, if not more. I mean, I made sure to give it subpar stats, a misleading stat distribution, horrible movepool choices even for a bug type, and of course the most useless ability I could find (and yes, I mean slow start). This thing isn't just a regular useless, it was DESIGNED to be useless (nice Portal2 reference, now I can finish this comment). Disclaimer: this is obviously a joke, just in case someone couldn't tell. I would never, EVER give such mistreatment to any pokemon
  2. Oh my god I learned how to use the MultiQuote thing so happy. Anyways, I'll adress everything WITHOUT double posting lol: Yep, the name is colour (the british way)+larva. About the color thing, yeah now that you mention it I think it might be slightly misleading. Never stopped to think about it when I made this line tho XD And fun fact, despite cuddliness, Colourva's body is almost 90% water, meaning that it is translucent (it doesn't seem so because the forums has a solid background color tho). Yeah now I'm convinced, the name is totally misleading XD. Kinda useless, indeed. I mean it gets quiver dance and stuff, but other than that, is just your everyday butterfree/vivillon, so yeah it is kinda useless when compared to, say, starters or the likes, but I think is a nice mon for bug collectors such as myself lol Almost, but not quite lol
  3. Hi peoples, I'm announcing a mon now since I will most likely not be able to do it tomorrow, so yeah... Welp, here goes Colourva, a pure bug type that is the equivalent of Caterpie/Weedle/Wurmple/Sewaddle/Scatterbug in Graterras. And as such, it is a weak ass tiny bug type that, yep, it goes from bug>coccoon>something, but just like the rest of butterfree tropes, it gets powerful at the end. It doesn't win its second type until it reaches its final form, but I wonder what type will that be? A hint, is not flying :] Well, that was all I guess. Remember that we re-stocked freehukunahugs, and you can get yours for free now (actually each costs 2.99$). Also, if you pre-order your freehukunahug now, you'll receive a hukuna portrait or something.
  4. What would happen if Kyubey was able to make and use philosopher stones? o.o

  5. It it helps you in anything (disclaimer: it won't), at first I thought you named yourself like that dog that replaced Brian in family guy for three episodes only. I mean now it is obvious that both things have no relation XD, but dunno there was a time where I saw the name vinny and related it. But yeah some nicknames don't need an explanation, and some don't have one.
  6. What, you mean the pokémon anime? Well that depends pretty much on what you like and what you don't, as you've already stated. Pikachu and other pokémon get kidnapped pretty much every episode, yes, but every now and then they have some nice gym battles, so dunno I believe you should pick an episode, watch it and if you don't like it, keep in mind that there's a VERY big chance the rest of episodes have a plot very similar to the one you saw. Some say the first season (Ash-Misty-Brock) is the only good one and the only that counts. Some say that the Best Wishes series was the worst, while others say the worst was Advanced adventures. Some say BW got the series back in track, while others say XY did. I don't really care about any of these things, since I watch an episode if a pokémon I like is in it, and thus I haven't seen neither all eps or all seasons complete. Dunno what others would recommend you but I just suggest you try an ep and see if you like it or not.
  7. The only other type that could suit "god" would be psychic I guess, but if we get into it, there are PLENTY of psychic legendaries. But normal legendaries, how many are there? 3. Arceus being one of them, and Regigigas and Meloetta the other two. In that way, the only other type that could have made Arceus more unique or mysterious would be poison, since there are no poison legendaries, but a poison god is too weird of a concept (maybe Yveltal could be poison/flying or poison/dark, but that's besides the point). Making a type for god exclusively to have comes out as unnecessary IMO, as it would be as unnecessary any type that was given to a single pokémon or line (like if I suddenly created the sound type but only the exploud family was given that type). I insist to believe that the normal type can be as unique as any other type if done right, plus except ghost, there is no type immune to it and it is only resisted by rock and steel, so it gets an insane coverage, plus it has incredible versatility as a type: in this way, I believe they might have intended a normal type god to mean it is versatile, able to reach a lot of types with its powers. Anyways, watch it be a primal-Arceus in gen 7 and be normal/psychic XD Regarding the normal type in dual typing and combinations, there's more to it than you might think. Adds only one weakness (fighting) to any pokemon that either doesn't resist or is already weak to fighting, and it allows to receive STAB from moves like return, that pretty much any pokemon can learn. To a ghost or psychic type for example, being a dual normal/ghost or normal/psychic is HUGE, as they cancel one of their weaknesses (ghost) completely, while ghost/normal is immune to fighting and psychic/normal receives neutral damage from it. I'd go in-topic again, but I already gave all the retypings I'd do if I were gamefreak, so yeah XD
  8. My name consists of the following: Invader Zim ---> Zim(in)vader ---> Zimvader Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy ---> Answer to Life, the Universe and Everything ---> 42 Zimvader + 42 = Zimvader42 And that's how I got muh name. Which is kinda pointless since pretty much everyone calls me just "Zim". I have sticked with this one for pretty much every place, forum, web or game that I've come across ever since. Before this one, I used to go by the names difteriaX6 and electronX6. Why, I have no idea actually. Stupid nicknames you think are "cool" and "super-awesome" I guess XD
  9. Well, if you think it is, it is. In the topic of unique normal types, you can also find: -Snorlax -Kecleon -Zangoose -Blissey -Ditto -Kangashkan -Porygon -Eevee -Smeargle -Slaking -Castform -Regigigas -Arceus Note how "unique" is not the same as "powerful"; therefore, your bidoof can be unique, despite it being powerful or not (and even then, there's the "weak pokemon, strong pokemon, that is only the selfish perception of people" thing). Back on topic tho, I agree with Cresselia being psychic/fairy. If she was psychic/fairy and Darkrai was dark/ghost, Cresselia's main weakness would be darkrai's ghost, while Darkrai's only weakness would be Cresselia's fairy, making them so much of a better duo.
  10. Well I don't know for sure but just the first things in the dex, like the equivalents of rattata, butterfree, etc.
  11. Aah, well that's different. I thought you were talking about the pokemons for public announcement only, that's why I got surprised, cuz the dark/fairy wasn't intended for reveal anytime soon.
  12. The.... dark fairy? What dark fairy? o.o And no I'm not trolling, I really do not know whatcha talking about
  13. Haven't we? I checked the pages and what do you know, we haven't indeed revealed a bug pokémon yet! Sadly this week's annoucement was a....gym leader, I think? you know, the water girl. Something new'll come next week or so lol
  14. You can be unique AND be a normal type... In all honesty tho, I'd preffer if Arceus had protean instead of multitype, or that multitype actually allowed it to strike opponents of any type for at least neutral damage ignoring immunities of any kind. Now THAT would be a godsome ability.
  15. TONS of booty, passed down generation after generation. Tons.Of.It.
  16. The OP promised what?!? *checks OP* Huh, I don't see any promises in here. Oh wait it's in the second page, lol alright. Well it seems I have no need to stay trolling around anymore, gotta spontaneously combust *explodes*
  17. Well, not saying you're wrong, not saying you are, but blue can also be the color of flying, dragon and ice types, y'know?
  18. Welp, xerneas already destroys Zygarde and Yvetlal with fairy STAB; let it have them both destroyed by ice beam STAB as well :3 That's my only reason to be honest.
  19. Blastoise water/steel Gyarados water/dragon Tangela (and Tangrowth) grass/water Rattata (and Raticate) normal/poison Ninetales fire/psychic or fire/ghost (both make sense to me) Psyduck (and Golduck) water/psychic Arcanine fire/dark Drowzee (and Hypno) psychic/dark <-- I mean, you know they do... Starmie water/electric (it helps it so much more with its thunderbolt shenanigans, plus it has only 2 weaknesses) Electabuzz electric/fighting and Magmar fire/dark (so that both would make a trio of elemental pokemon with Jynx's ice/pyschic) Pinsir bug/dark <-- I mean, have you seen it? Hell bug The gen II starters could be grass/fairy, fire/poison (or fire/normal) and water/dark IMO. Still, it is interesting to have a trio of pure type starters. Ledian bug/fighting (and change its stats! make it useful!) Bellossom grass/fairy Politoed water/psychic (if it's gonna be the king of Polis, at least have a type that can hit your water/fighting subjects super effectively) Sunflora grass/fire (doesn't look much like it but it's the SUNflower pokemon) Misdreavus (and Mismagius) ghost/fairy (I would have said ghost/psychic before gen VI, but ghost/fairy is better typing) Pineco bug/grass Snubbull (and Granbull) dark/fairy Ursaring normal/fighting, Beartic ice/fighting and Pangoro dark/fighting (well he already is lol). Trio of fighting bears!! Remoraid looks water/steel to me (is a gun) and Octillery looks water/fire (red, and is a cannon) Grovyle grass/fighting (don't care about Blaziken lol) <-- I mean, is a bug-eating reptile, that is weak to bug. The fighting helps it with that, and makes it even more weak to its real life predator, birds. Skitty (and Delcatty) normal/fairy Volbeat and Illumise bug/electric Gulpin (and Swalot) poison/psychic Deoxys poison/psychic as well Milotic water/fairy Shuppet (and Banette) ghost/normal Glalie ice/dark Huntail water/dark Gorebyss water/fairy Luxray electric/dark Vespiquen bug/psychic Cherubi (Cherrim) grass/psychic Carnivine grass/poison Electivire electric/fighting and Magmortar fire/dark Yanmega bug/dragon Darkrai dark/ghost Cresselia psychic/fairy Victini fire/fairy and celebi grass/fairy. Serperior grass/dragon, Shamurott water/fighting and Emboar fire/dark or fire/ground. Petillil (and Lilligant) grass/fairy Darmanitan fire/fighting Maractus grass/ground or grass/fire (or even the common grass/poison) Yamask (and Cofagrigus) ghost/rock Trubbish (and Garbodor) normal/poison Gothitelle (her whole family) dark/psychic Reuniclus (its whole family) psychic/electric (levitate maybe, but mostly because of neurons and stuff) Karrablast and Accelgor bug/dark Klink, Klang and Klinklang steel/electric Haxorus (and family) dragon/fighting Cryogonal ice/psychic or ice/ghost Shelmet bug/steel Mienfoo and Mienshao fighting/fairy Florges line, grass/fairy Skiddo and Gogoat grass/rock Spritzee and Aromatisse fairy/flying or fairy/poison Clawitzer water/steel Heliolisk fire/electric Goodra (and line) dragon/fairy or dragon/poison Xerneas Ice/Fairy
  20. I knoooow they don't exist lol, I just proposed resistances that I THOUGHT some types should have to make their use as defensive types in a pokemon more worth it (ice only resisting ice makes it just so bad in a pokemon, and rock and grass having each 5 weaknesses is a bit too much, they're not that strong to begin with, only rock maybe). Maelstrom discussed why he doesn't find these logical, and then I discussed why I do find them (most of them at least lol) logical to a degree. But yeah is more likely that ice is just going to stay the worst defensive type forever. Damn you, gamefreak.
  21. Rock resisting rock is based on the same logic you use, but backwards: there are rocks even tougher than metal, and there are rocks that cannot be sharpened/broken by other less tough rocks. Not all rocks are weak to the expansion of ice inside them. Rocks that do not have porosity are certainly "resistant" to ice, since water can't get inside them in the first place (unlike in ground, which generally is always permeable and softer than rock). The same way around, some rocks are not hard or compact enough to even scratch ice, while others are, so if we went by that Ice and rock should be neutral to each other (which could work as well) In glaciars, ice forms rock-hard structures that move slowly by gravity. Glaciars remove, scratch and change the appearance of the ground around them as if it was nothing (this is probably why they made ice se against ground I guess), but ground is soft in comparison and it can't even do shit to big masses of ice, unlike rock which can have a chance depending on how hard it is. As for ice resisting water, I just think that it is colder, solid water, that floats above liquid water, and isn't really harmed by water in any way, that's why I think ice should be resistant to it. I'll give you bug resisting bug however. Doesn't make sense from a biological point of view but I always felt it should, mostly as an added survival factor for terribad typings such as Parasect's and Leavanny's. Regardless, these type resistances I talk about are mostly thought in a strategical way with the only intention to make ice, rock and bug better defensive typings. If they make sense or not at the end of the day, you simply point at "pokemon logic" and call it a day. The way Garbodor-Vanilluxe are justified as being worse than Muk-Electrode is random as fuck in my opinion. Saying that garbodor makes far less sense than muk is almost as saying that garchomp is far less of a badass than gyarados, just because. For what we know, Garbodor can perfectly be based in the same principle Muk is, that is, chemicals that mixed together to create a kind of life. I mean why not? how do you know that the same reactions that brought muk to live weren't similar or even the same that made the substances inside garbodor come to life as well? If anything, the only real difference between them is that muk is made of liquified crap, while garbodor is made of solid crap (and has a skin-bag...sorta lol). I'll give you Vanilluxe however, in that is just an ice cream with a face. BUT, Electrode happens to be a pokéball with a face (and upside down). "Electrode is an energy/electric based being" the same way I could say "Vanilluxe is an ice/snow based being". If anything, as said already, the choice of an ice cream as visual design is a bit weird, but comes down to the same weirdness that makes most people like electrode. I'll agree though, that Cryogonal looks better (than both). A shame that most people don't like it (another injustice) and that it isn't ice/psychic (yet another injustice).
  22. Okay, Poptart passed by my profile. What's going on? And what's the deal about Aces that Elliot was talking about?

If Ame passes by your profile...tbh I wouldn't think anything of it, but if Ame bugs you about something later on, don't be alarmed.

It mostly just surprised me because things are being talked about Ace memberships and I for some reason related both things with something huge going on lol.

Is probably just the sign that I should go to sleep.

I like how you call Ame Poptart and not just Ame. Like it was totally a voluntary change.
