What trainer would you be from any pokemon game counting reborn
zimvader42 replied to jamesw0102's topic in Reborn City
Realistically speaking, I'd be that hiker guy that appears in caves, mountains and zones that require you to use strength to get up to, and always says things like "watch out, this mountain is dangerous!" or "I can't see anything in this cave, is too dark!" and right after that the only thing you know is that you are on a battle with him. And he has a sturdy golem with explode and fucks your shit upside down. And even then...enter huge power Diggersby! Yeah that's who I'd be if I was in the pokemon world, I'm sure of it. Which game doesn't matter. But wishfully speaking, I'd like to be Shade. Ghost is my fav type and I'd like to have a sharp-teeth and the word DIE in my midsection for some reason. -
I alwas find interesting how people's hardest leaders vary so much. Whenever someone says "Charlotte is hard as fuck", the next moment you get twenty people saying she was a piece of cake, and vice versa, for every gym leader 'til now. I wish I could say that about Luna, but sadly not the case XD Her fat-ass Umbreon was just to bulky to handle. Also now that you mention it, I recall using shofu's LP for the last one of the chess boards.
-
Lol yeah after the first one I thought it would be cake. It wasn't cake. The cake was a lie. I had to pull my ass over the two final chess boards for almost an hour each to solve those motherfuckers. It wasn't pretty, but the battle against Radomus was pretty rad despite being quite easy (specially compared to the monster that is Dark Dreamer Luna).

What is your least favorite legendary pokemon?
zimvader42 replied to jamesw0102's topic in Pokémon Fan Club
Primal Arceus (ahshashdd lol) 120HP 150Att 120Def 150SpAtt 130SpDef 150Spe Ability - Omnis: can hit any pokemon with any move, regardless of accuracy or immunities. Now Arceus can learn all moves like Mew (as it should have always been since is friggin' god) and...It gets so strong that there's no point or need for other pokemons anymore, only Arceus. It cannot be balanced in the metagame, it breaks forever and there's only one tier now, DMA, "Doesn't Matter Anymore". -
Radomus!! Metagross is the single most disgustingly hard pokemon to draw. Period. It is fun to shade though. And Malamar is fun both to draw and shade. Next time, eh, dunno, Luna maybe? She has a Malamar.

What is your least favorite legendary pokemon?

1. Thundurus, Landorus, Tornadus 2. All Kyurems and Kyurem fusions 3. Zekrom 4. Coballion, Terrakion, Keldeo 5. Azelf, Mesprit, Uxie 6. Ho-Oh 7. Heatran 8. Phione 9. If megas are a category on their own, then Mega Mewtwos and Mega Ray quay quay. You know there's something wrong when you're stronger than God itself. -
Which gym leader do you think is the weakest so far?
zimvader42 replied to jamesw0102's topic in Reborn City
I really like all gymmies (as in, gym[leaders]mies), but yeah even in reborn there are some easier than some. For me, Florinia and Samson are the weakest, of the two Samson being the weakest hands down (to me). The thing with Florinia is weird: on my first playthrough, the Fern battle inside the school was a pain, I had to grind like crazy to beat the bastard. But then, Florinia fell in a single try, unlike Julia who took like 5. But then in my second playthrough, my team had to try 3 times to beat her. I assume all this was because of battling her before and after her field effect was implemented, but I don't really know. Samson however, was the absolute easiest gym battle I ever had in this game. I don't know if it was the fact that I had two psychics, two fairies and a ghost at the time, but the poor guy fell in a single try, and the same for my second playthrough. Maybe I'm good against fighting types? Because Kiki wasn't all that difficult to me as well (unlike SOME gastly pretending to be a CERTAIN dead teacher -.-) For others, well, hmm, Julia was pretty easy once I started to comprehend the mechanics of how pokemon moves worked (my first battle I tried to take down all of her voltorbs with just ember from my braixen), and I don't know what people has against Noel: it is hard, not gonna lie, it took me the 3 standard tries in my first playthrough to beat him, but like the almost 25 times I had to fight Serra, or the over 25 times I had to try against Luna? No thanks. Not even close. -
All best pokemon types in reborn (Electric, water, ghost etc)
zimvader42 replied to jamesw0102's topic in Team Showcase
Hmm everything has pretty much be said as of now and I agree with most of the options (except the ones I haven't personally tested myself), but I'll share my experience as well, for the lolz or whatever. GHOST -Gengar: A special beast with great speed, who's only handycap might be defenses, and the lack of bulk. But it can work with pretty much everything you through at him, so give it thunderbolt, sludge bomb and shadow ball and use the last spot as a wild card, and you're good to go. -Gourgeist: Invest in this thing's physical defense and attack, and laugh at pretty much any physical attacker you encounter; At 252 defense EVs, this thing loses just 20-30% of its HP from a dark type move like pursuit, and at worst, 50% HP from a strong, STAB dark type move, or Brave Bird. Just make sure you give it Trick-or-Treat, a ghost type move and leech seed, and everything else is irrelevant (always that it hits the leech seed that is). On the battlefield, special attacks will be your worst and probably only enemy. Also, as a trivia, as of episode 14, Trick-or-treat works different than in the main series games: instead of ADDING the ghost type to the target, it CHANGES the target's type to ghost: you know what this means? This means this thing can leech seed you, recover HP every turn, turn you into a ghost and then hit you for STAB super-effective damage with a priority shadow sneak or a strong as hell phantom force, until you hit the ground. Dunno if this still is the case as of episode 14.5, but for my whole reborn playthrough Gourgeist was the ghost boss. PSYCHIC -Gardevoir: the fairy type greatly benefits it defensively. Except maybe for Aya, Shade and Corey, Gardevoir's weaknesses are pretty much scarce, specially steel. Calm mind plus moonblast/psyshock allows to literally piss at Samson's gym. Other than that, is a pretty decent psychic that can take care of dark and dragons alike. The obvious downside is its "glass cannon" complex: you'll rarely survive any physical attack of neutral coverage, even less for super-effective hits. -Delphox: while not as good as gardevoir in the psychic regard, the fire coverage is pretty good. This thing shits on any fire/fighting starter if handled correctly, and if you can get it to have hidden power ground/rock, it's a great lead for certain battles like Charlotte's. FIRE -Delphox: ^^ FAIRY -Gardevoir: ^ -Mawile: since you cannot mega evolve in reborn, you'll think mawile is useless. WRONG!!!! for in-game standards, it hits like a truck and doesn't care about your "superior" speed when it has sucker punch. Iron head and play rough for STAB damage on dragons, fairies and anything that you can need, and two wild cards for more coverage (sucker punch/crunch and brick break really benefit it IMO). Just don't switch it into a special attacker, for the same reasons as gourgeist, and it will serve you well. FIGHTING -Scrafty: while relatively slow, it will rarely die in one hit unless we're talking about a strong ass fairy type move. Dragon Dance Scrafty, while I admit I haven't used it because I didn't understood what dragon dance did at the time and replaced it with brick break, is a good set, with the Hi Jump Kick WHEN IT DOESN'T MISS and crunch. It will hit hard, and is a great option against luna and even radomus to an extent. ROCK and DRAGON -Tyrantrum: I'm not really a fan of rock types in my team, but Tyrantrum won my respect after eating Charlotte alive. Great attack and dragon helps rock with its horrible set of weaknesses, to some extent. I haven't really used any other dragon or rock type in this game except Tyrantrum. POISON and FLYING Crobat: has been explained well enough already by other people. DARK Scrafty: ^^^ Malamar: since this is not competitive and the AI is not a real human opponent, sometimes you get lucky and can set up the famous contrary superpower. Despite this, Malamar sadly dies to a decent bug type move and pretty much anything will kill it in two turns since it got no resistances. BUG -Scolipede: A great baton passer that can also pack a punch when needed and can survive a psychic or fire foe enough to speed boost and get the fuck out of the battlefield. Steamroller and Poison Jab STABs really benefit it. GRASS -Serperior: contrary leaf storm. Leech seed. -Roserade: I stopped using roselia before Radomus, for obvious reasons, but up to that point she helped a lot clearing routes and NPCs. She shines at Florinia's gym for the most part. ELECTRIC -Manectric: for some reason when this thing uses strength, despite having it for a HMslave role, it takes more than half of the targets HP. Discharge is great too. NORMAL -Zangoose: this thing cleared up ALL of route 1 by itself and with false swipe has allowed me to catch pretty much everything else. No tauros can oppose this thing's close combat. Can't really say anything outside of those types, because I have only used those. -
D: Laggless next target: erasers Hmm, first of, I want to say that I didn't know that about Gastrodon, pretty interesting. Regardless, granted, it now is in gen 3 games. But is unobtainable, untradeable, unhackable and there's only one in the whole game, that appears by using the fishing rod over one billion times in the same spot without moving, saving the game or turning off the game (if those things happen, the fishing counter resets). I wish my wishes were more creative.
-
Waaaait, so now not only does everyone love Audino, but everyone but me hates every first gen pokemon and gengwunners do not exist therefore? And that spoils my wish how exactly? XD Ok jk, anyway, granted, Sharpen's animation is now that of a pencil sharpener. But it only exists within the games' internal code, and cannot be hacked or seen by the player under any circumstances nor using any method, neither will ever be shown by anyone from Gamefreak. You know it's there, but you'll never see it. I wish Laggless' unhealthy obsession with pencil sharpeners disappeared.

Which gym leader do you think is the strongest so far?
zimvader42 replied to jamesw0102's topic in Reborn City
1.Charlotte - Takes A LOT of advantage of her field, and is a very aggressive kind of leader, it won't let you even breath. Chances are that your "to go" team won't stand a chance the first time, and even grinding and developing a strategy, she's hard. 2.Luna - Not only is it the fact that her prankster Sableye is annoying as hell, but her Umbreon just DOES NOT DIE. That battle takes forever. 3.Serra - You're never prepared for her the first time. -
It is not? Well now that you mention it, I have never really used Mega Amphy. I should at some point. Anyways, granted, is now so good that any other mega evolution is deemed pointless. M-Ampharos now counters everything, from Mega-Metagross to Mega-Rayquaza, and is granted at least a 2 hit KO for almost every opponent it goes against, and its so bulky it never dies. It is so good that it needs its own tier now, "Ampharos goes", which is like Anything goes but you can only use mega ampharos. I wish more people liked Audino.
-
Still? Didn't Ame change it because Gyarados was too OP?
-
Your brother probably laughed because he was thinking of how many souls he's gonna wreck when he gets some fairy types of his own.
-
Granted. It wasn't corrupted. But I will spoil it, if you don't mind good sir, thank you very much. I wish Hippopotas wasn't so ugly and I could actually like it.

Deoxys, Reuniclus and maybe... Muk? (could anyone tell if this thing is single-celled or not? It even states that they drop blobs of themselves that turn into smaller grimers on the way; that sounds pretty unicelular to me). Also, maybe Ditto. With a big stretch, maybe Mew (it's like one of those stem cells that can do anything, similar to Ditto), Togepi (the insides of an egg is a single giant cell at first, maybe togepi is a single-celled organism) and Jumpluff (if it's a spore, maybe it's unicelular as well). So yeah, for this monorun you just need to find two of the rarest normal types, an average poison type, a decent psychic type and two psychic legendaries. Lol. EDIT: Parasect as Roqi suggested is not a bad addition, and I thought that maybe Swalot, Castform and Goomy could fit into this classification, with a bit of stretch but oh well.

The "RAAAAAAWR for you're life" was intentional XD, I thought that being Terra and all, I had to put a little effort into emulating her characteristic way of....communication. Writting dialogues for her without making it look as if one had bad grammar in the process seems to be harder than I expected. Ame, if you can hear me, what do you do when you try to write Terra's dialogue? It comes naturally or do you have any trick or...? As for the radomus aspect, inb4 the next in-game radomus battle will start like "Hat Princess Radomus wants to battle!" or something XD Also, I was shy with the fern drawing at first too because everyone else in here already draws like bosses, but everyone is so nice here. You'll have no problem sharing your art once you post a pic, trust me. And the anatomy, well, I kinda invent my own but the sprites kinda help.
-
Sorry, you say? That's practically 98% of the game I was talking about, if it existed that is. Radomus is the real princess of hats <3
-
Yeah I know that feel, is the same when I wanted to draw Cain yesterday and I was like "what the fuck is his hair doing back there?". He has, like, this little hair-flower on his head that I cannot still figure out how to draw, and the full-body sprite doesn't help much since is smaller o-o Still, I want like a "Dress Radomus" spin-off game of reborn or something. I wanna put tiny hats on him, and make good new avatars ^^
-
Yo, I'm not sure that event chain is even finished yet. I think there's a maximum amount of NPCs you can find that have relation to the stolen secret pokemon incident, but I'm not sure is as of ep14 you can actually get it. Is this possible? Cause I really want to know what the secret pokemon is now.
-
I was gonna do Cain yesterday, but I ended up doing Terra instead. And I felt like painting it: Regardless, I still find the lack of Radomus unacceptable! C'mon people you can draw him like, with different hats and stuff, I wanna see a gibus Radomus! Note: Nidoking was harder to draw than expected. But is pretty cool to paint, curiously enough.

Granted, you now know. But now Aya has to kill you... I wish for a wish that cannot be spoiled by pencil sharpeners or any pencil-sharpener related shenanigans.

Anyone can remind me what Terra's gym team is composed of? Garchomp, Excadrill, Hippowdon, and ???

So... the Blue+black/White+Golden dress thing has become a meme. I just new of it today on college, everyone was with that goddamn pic. And then in the bus. And then in youtube, and KYM. What's going on?

On our f-f-f-favourite rocket ship, Zooming thru the sky.... Little Einsteins *Dubstep beat starts* I actually never liked this show. But having just one TV and a sister that absolutely adored this show made it difficult for me not to learn the whole [REDACTED] song in the end...
