Well, my choice against Charlotte and the one I always recommend is Tyrantrum. Double resistance to fire, great attack, rock type moves and it even takes neutral damage from possible water and grass moves; give it a decently bulky water type as ally in battle (alomomola, azumarill), and either spam water attacks of your own (not really that good since the field weakens water type) or just spend their turn in healing up tyrantrum. However, maybe you didn't get the jaw fossil and therefore tyrantrum, at considering the point of the game you're at, you can't go back at the moment to get the fossil, revive it at Spinel Town and then hours of grinding later, have it ready at level 68 or more in order to proceed to sweep Charlotte. Also, I've heard that her team got re-done changing one of the ninetails by a darmanitan, which has hammer arm and that is obviously terrible for tyrantrum. Other options would be going back to the ice caverns before route 3, catch some water type or water/ice type that learns rain dance to neutralize the field effect and grind it.

So a Riprage is like a bad thing? I'm still curious about what it is. Granted, you saved them all. By erasing all humans and human culture and any possible trace of it, from Earth. I wish infinite was a number.

I never got to take art lessons. That stuff is not only hard, but also expensive. My dad asked me to choose between having money for food or for art lessons XD Anyways, what ShingSt said is right, effort and practice will pay out in the end.

What is a Riprage?
-
I would say she's a solid 9 (for me, Serra was 10 and Luna was 10 as well; the rest were 7 or 8 at the best). She benefits A LOT from her field effect (that's the point I guess), and TWO drought ninetails plus energy ball typhlosion...yeah it ain't pretty (although I'm glad to hear that she only has one ninetales now and her typhlosion won't be learning energy ball anymore) It took me three tries to defeat her in the original save. First was the inspection battle: with my current team at the time, evaluate the situation, see what her party was composed of and inevitably get blown away. Second was the re-arangement battle: the same team, but trying a different strategy, to see what other options could be. And finally, the definitive battle: changing some pokemon for some other (gourgeist and mawile for Tyrantrum and azumarill), grinding a bit, and just proceed to crush her soul. Using tyrantrum double resistance to fire plus rock slide and using either azumarill's or delphox's turn to heal the t-rex up, equals win. Although, now that I know she has a darmanitan, I'm not sure this strategy could work as well, for hammer arm and all...

Granted: There you go, six Lucky Eggs in Reborn (forum). I wish this wish gets granted.

Radomus <3 He's supposed to be older but who cares, I was waiting for someone to actually draw him more often. There's not enough Radomus ganart IMO.

List your top 10 strongest pokemon here.
zimvader42 replied to jamesw0102's topic in Pokémon Fan Club
I reeeeeeally recall recalling there was a thread about your top 10 strongest pokemon, but since I don't seem to be able to find it, oh well: 1. Clefable (Magic Guard+Life Orb+Ice Beam+Moonblast+Calm Mind/Cosmic Power+HP ground+Max Defense, the only thing that can probably kill you is a ferrothorn; well obviously not, but is a pretty damn good special monster) 2. Gardevoir (psyshock+moonblast for the win) 3. Alakazam (calm mind+energy ball+psychic+shadow ball lol) 4. Gengar (pretty much everything you wanna give'em) 5. Mawile (don't even have to mega-evolve it, generally; just play rough and iron head the shit out of everyone) 6. Goodra (assault-vest it and put it against a special attacker; laugh in their faces) 7. Excadrill (Sand Rush+Iron Head+Earthquake+Rock Slide+Brick Break during a Sandstorm; is a good show) 8. Serperior (contrary leaf storm lol; sadly it doesn't get draco meteor neither is it a grass/dragon as I always wished) 9. Scrafty (fighting and dark moves in general, dragon dance sometimes) 10. Gourgeist (trick-or-treat+shadow sneak+leech seed everything!) 11. Malamar (contrary superpower lol; sadly it doesn't get psycho boost or the special attack stat that I wish it had; also u-turn) EDIT: regarding what Tacos person just asked, I'd say this list is of canon games, but at least for me it would work for Reborn as well, once all mons are available that is. Well all I named are already available, but still... -
Lol quite the interesting thread you got. I don't really have that many head canons now that I think about it, but I've got some minor ones: -Main character (Zim, or just [insert player's name here]), came to the Reborn region because he never had anyone around to look after him (kinda the same deal as Aster, but smarter) and desesperately needed to make money. He had heard about the city's terrible state and that it was easy to purchase and sell illegal merchandise. His original goal was to make some quick cash in illegal battles and maybe become some kind of heisenberg of "rare candy", making a "good boy" cover for himself by joining the league and hiding his true business from the authorities, namely Ame, plus getting a pokemon since he had to trade the one he had to some guy in exchange for a train ticket. But after the train station incident, knowing all that people and watching so many of them die, all that slowly turns him into some kind of anti-hero. He doesn't really want to save the world and shit at first, but the story forces him to develope some morals and become a hero, or at least do the right thing, by the time he meets the orphanage kids. -He found Cain infuriatingly annoying at first, but after all the shit both have been through, he considers Cain his first and also best friend. -He absolutely hates Fern. He could never stand guys like him before, and now that he's met the ultimate asshole, it just pisses him off whenever the green haired douche comes in sight. -After the Luna incidents, he developed a feel of admiration for Radomus, almost as a father figure. -He kinda likes Taka and wish he wasn't a bad guy, doesn't even get what ZEL is and the first time he saw a PULSE he feared for his life. While that has changed, he still fears Solaris' Garchomp, El's Ditto and Lin. -He sees Shelly as some kind of little sister and gets the urge to protect her in fights. Additionally, he has a crush on Charlotte (I think it suits the character). I have some for other characters but they're not too solid anyways.

Wait, he's reached charlotte? God I need to watch that. Shofu's comedic value comes (for me at least) from the very core of humor: watching others fail at something in a pretty epic kind of way. On his insurgence playthrough, for example, in episode two he got every single party member paralyzed up to 9 times in a row by a Paras. His rant was so great that I actually come back sometimes just to watch that specific segment. In reborn, such moments include the Garhomp/Arceus/Steelix first meetings, whenever he wants the other characters to wait for him instead of leaving without him, and the Serra gym. Lol. This guy has so many hard times with puzzles, and struggles so much against gym leaders and field effects despite being a good competitive player, that you can to some extent identify with him. Also, since nickaboo's playthrough were discontinued (as far as I'm aware) Shofu's playthrough was my main source of puzzle-solving information and item/pokemon locations before I actually found out there was a forum for this game.

While I don't hate any churucters, the ones I find more annoying are.... Terra and Bennet/El. Terra is funny, yeah, I know she's all random and everybody loves her, and I do most of the time, but sometimes.... I just feel her to be annoying as fuck, nonsensical and tiring; If that was intended, well kudos because it worked. Also the whole "anarchy" and "because I was bored" bullshit.... on Ryuk I can understand, because he isn't even human to begin with, but are you telling me, that she became bored and the best she could think of to spread the chaos was joining a terrorist team? You can achieve the same amount of chaos playing pokemon in Twitch, just saying... And Bennet/El are just two faces of the same coin to me. Both so apparently logical, both so apparently moved for love or parenthood, both so focused on them bug types or them ditto-arceuses, both pursuing this or that goal... but in the end they both are just fucked up. Bennet I don't think he even means it, he's more like lost in the world and doesn't really have things clear and everything is new for him outside of his books and introverted world, but c'mon, you love a girl and you help a crazy guy tie her up to a satanic pentagram for a purification ritual? Whaaaaaaaaa?!? There are others as bad as these but that I do not care about enough to name them before, namely: -G.Gardevoir: she thinks she can say anything to anyone and get away with everything; her only redeeming quality to me is that she at least cares for Luna and Radomus. -Aya's mother, as it has been mentioned by some on this thread. -Amaria: her best friend acted the only way she could think of to save her from commiting suicide, and when she realizes that her friend wasn't actually in love with her but just pretending for the sake of being a LOVING friend, instead of trying to calm down and think about everything Titania had done for her she goes all full-drama mode and jumps off a waterfall; Titania is a harsh character and ok she lied to Amaria, but I can understand that not everybody comes up with the best plans to prevent their friends from killing themselves, she just did what she could because she CARED for Amaria. How is that so different from loving her in the first place? -Blake: basic asshole, not too different from Fern in that regard, but Fern is "lovable" on its own twisted, inhuman way. Blake is just like an assholic version of Hardy and Fern mixed together: "hey duuuuude, I don't care if I locked and starved a child to death, aight? Duuuuude just chill, see ya losers". Ugh. -Dr.Sigmund Conehead: he abused children in experiments and claimed them as "legal property". Do I even have to explain this one? EDITOR's NOTE: I don't really think Fern is a fair option here. Wheatley Fern is not just a regular asshole, he was DESIGNED to be an asshole!! You cannot possibly love his character because it is very specifically designed, intended, to make you angry, to piss you off, and to force you to wish you could tear him from the inside out with your own two hands. For this reason, and to put it in simple terms, you have to LOVE to HATE him, because it can't be the other way around, like, it just can't. The rest of characters however, they can be either liked or disliked, there's not just a single standard point of view regarding them.

Wow all the art in this thread is so amazing!! O^O I wasn't even sure if even contribute at first, makes me kinda shy when everybody else around draws like a boss. Anyway, I just finished this and two nº2 pencils died in the process, so I might as well pay them the deserved tribute: RIP nº2 Pencils, 2015-2015

Since this is your first post, welcome Good to see someone out there found good within the grasshole known as Fern. I've met pretty few people who actually like the character (it is annoying as fuck for everyone and has surpassed any level of humanly-possible assholetry, but gotta admit the game wouldn't be the same without him.... fucking him...) And there's never enough Cain. Ever. ^Cain is the "gay" rival you mentioned.

Halloween the Gourgeist, Ursula the Malamar and SWAG Queen the Scrafty. Those are the ones I can remember at the moment.

If you were a pokemon what would you be?
zimvader42 replied to jamesw0102's topic in Pokémon Fan Club
A Gengar, a Dusknoir, a Malamar or a Chandelure. Or Giratina, while we're at it. Is pretty self explanatory. -
What's your favorite Pokemon Shiny from Reborn?
zimvader42 replied to NeosHeart's topic in Reborn City
On one hand, there's shiny Absol. You must necesarily have regular and shiny ones, and call them Yin and Yang respectively. On the other hand, there's shiny Beedrill. It has the drill that will pierce the heavens!!! Aside from those two (and shiny Gourgeist to an extent), the rest are pretty much the same to me. Is not that I care too much about shinies on the first place. -
Which of these images is the more horrifying of the two?
zimvader42 replied to Bearadactyl's topic in General Discussion
Both. But for the sake of voting, right. -
Granted. Now you have to do them during class instead, so they aren't homework anymore, they're....classwork. Yes, that'll do it. I wish pizza was a fruit so you wouldn't actually have to cook it before eating. I mean c'mon how comes mother nature hasn't thought of this before?
-
Granted. Now all the hair in your body except the one over your head is green. I wish I could walk on water, like that other guy.

Hey, I need advice on fakemon again. Do you people think a dark/fairy evolutionary line based on medieval butchers and a bit of BDSM elements is too much?
-
Hmm fair enough, I actually think hippowdon is cool, but why the hell did it have to evolve from something so uglily made? I mean if you consider a pokemon by design alone, not evolution lines or stats or competitive presence or anything, just design, hippopotas is bad. Luvdisc, muk and electrode are simple, I'll give that to you. Klefki, trubbish and vanillite are based on a weird concepts, not gonna lie. NONE of them beat hippopotas, in any way. But that's just my opinion. At least it tries to redeem itself by evolving into hippowdon the beast. But still... damn hippopotas, why?
