What he said, specially if you want to grind a dark type like sharpedo. Vanhanen is the perfect place for dark types, because aside from some rude stantlers with stomp, the rest of pokemon there are either psychic, weak to dark/fighting or only use psychic moves which have no effects. The pros of route 1 are basically its beautiful Audinos, which give a reasonable amount of exp.

No, um, let's see if I can explain myself better. If you started your reborn game in episode 11 (as I did), there was an event Ralts obtainable early in the game. As soon as you could get to the low Peridot ward, in the same street as Julia's gym is there was a guy standing in a side of the street, blocking the path that leads to an alley. The guy asked you to give him 50$, like, 6/7 times (a maximum of 300$ I think I gave him) and then he just moved to a side and you could enter the alley. In the alley a door leads to a room in which there was a scared Ralts, that you would need to give a pokésnax in order to make him/her join you. If you didn't play episode 11, I think there's a chance that the event is still there if you simply download episode 11 from the internet or a friend who can give it to you. That's the way how I got Riolu, by just downloading episode 10 (in which Riolu was obtainable) and playing my savefile with it. As for the new event, it is NOT located in 7th street, and you can in fact find the pokeball that contains a Ralts as soon as you get to the underground railnet with a poké that knows rock smash; there're these "dark spots" in the walls in which you can rocksmash to break said walls and find items in the holes. One of those items is Ralts' pokeball. However, the pokeball is "corrupted", and you have to bring it to a guy in the pokeball shop that will tell you he can open the ball if you bring him some (magnet?) powder, an item that can only be found, I think, on 7th street. That's why you need access to 7th street to complete this new event and get Ralts.

The thing is, how much do you mean by "pretty soon"? If you want to have your Ralts as near to the start of the game as possible, I suggest you download (or open if you already have) reborn's episode 11, in which you could get Ralts by paying a guy in the low peridot ward 50$ until he gets out of the way and you're able to reach a house with a Ralts inside. That was before, now you don't get Ralts until much later. You can technically find its pokeball item as soon as you have access to the underground railnet part, but in order to free Ralts from the ball you need to have cleared the game to the point of being able to enter 7th street.

Even remaining the same as the main games, Beedrill's catchrate is the low-kind, of 45 (around 6% chance of success). This doesn't mean you're that unlucky actually. Believe me, a lot of catchrate=45 pokés give me trouble in the game. You can try a net ball next time, or even a level ball if you happen to have some.

Now it looks more like a mr mime, with the blue hair and all. But I still say, this thing is just too cool to be a mr mime. Maybe is the fact that it looks all bulky and has a bigger mouth and no visible legs, dunno. Still, PULSEs don't have to resemble exactly what they're based on I think, so one never knows if this thing will actually be waiting for me on ep 13 or not.

Hmm maybe is just because scyther (or even more, scizor) would be overused just as Magby/Magmar and Riolu/Lucario were when they were obtainable prior ep 10. Or maybe Ame just decided no one's getting a scyther, period.

I don't really remember any info about scyther in-game prior or after ep 11, but maybe it was in previous episodes, really don't know. Anyway, since he's not in the obtainables list, he shouldn't be in the game currently. If you can get it through event, thouhg, I would like to know as well. EDIT: Nope, not even the location guide thread mentions it, scyther is a N/A.

I have ep.11 in my computer. No idea how to upload such a big folder, though. Also as for ep.10, no idea where you can find it, but if it helps I'll tell ya that I downloaded ep.9 a time ago from a web called "theisozone".

This would be so cool as a fakemon, is like the "jack-in-the-box" pokémon we need... or want. But is true though, that I would never guess it's a mr. mime, is just too different and too awesome to be mr mime.

If Ame gets to fix that AI script someday, we'll be doomed. Just wait for the NPCs to use their teams even better than you... I don't even want to think about the Gym leaders. And about my rage, it all goes to Taka's Chatot. ALL of it. No other thing in this game or any other pokemon game has forced me to do so much grinding, ever. Well, there was also Luna, who forced me to breed my scrafties during a whole month, but not as nearly painful as that chatot.

If I recall correctly, you can get a Piplup in 7th street, trading a "rare candy" to a guy in one of the smoking places there. 7th street is on the North Obsidia Ward, and you gain access to it from different locations depending on which gang you join, either AQUA or MAGMA. However, I don't think I ever had to go to the Beryl ward to get my "rare candy". I got mine in 7th street, then a guy stole it, then I got it back, then I traded it for Piplup. EDIT: Beryl WALL. My bad. Anyway, though I DID get a second rare candy from a rock, I still think I got my first one from a NPC there.

Then again, I can't think of any scenario in which I wanted to poison a kecleon or any other pokemon with protean or color change, except, well, the PULSE Muk and Abra we've been talking for this thread long... I might want to check this soak strategy in my second savefile. What good pokés with soak can be found in the game? The only ones I can recall are the casino's Psyduck and those Goldeen in the house of that man, in that place (peridot ward?south? north?)

Does soak add the water type or replace the original type with water? If the later is true, then this can work EDIT: Bulbapedia says it replaces the original type, so theorically this should work.

That's the thing, I don't remember :/ But I think that just as how electric types can't get paralyzed not even as a secondary effect of non-electric moves, I think I recall seeing or hearing or reading somewhere that poison types can't get poisoned. Again, not sure if this is true, though

Oooh, definitely grinding that guy. Or girl, I think my scolipede was a girl. Know the only thing left is for that supposed "psychic-dark" PULSE mr mime to actually BE a psychic-dark. I want to see his PULSE sprite so bad...

Correct me if I'm wrong (and probably am since I don't even remember when or where did I read this) but in gen VI poison types can't be poisoned just like electric types can't be paralyzed, right?
